Healing Skills?

Hello out there in the Glitch Abyss! 

I think Healing Skills would make an excellent addition to the periodic table-esque forte of abilities. Imagine healing sickly piggies, batterflies, dying trees, even other glitchlings with low energy or a foul mood! One could even use alchemy to make common remedies. I´m quite sure the writers are full of snarky jokes re: homeopathic medicine. 

Thoughts?

  • The only problem I see with this idea is the fact that healing effects are already covered by a lot of other items/interactions.

    For instance, you can recover other peoples' mood by sharing a Hug or Kiss with them, or Mooning them, with an Emotional Bear and the right accessories.  You can also recover other players' energy and mood at the same time with the Transcendental Radiation skill of the Meditation line.  Tree/Plant healing is covered by items like Fertilidust, Fertilidust Lite, and Tree Poison Antidote.

    Animal healing generally isn't necessary, because there's really just no way for animals to come to harm in this game, save by starving, which can be easily prevented with the right tools and skills.  Now, if piggies, butterflies, chickens, and other animals could get hurt or sick, I could really see a use for a healing skill to help care for them.

    Now, I'm not saying that this is a bad idea.  It isn't, by any means.  I'm just saying that it'd have to have some new mechanics introduced to the game to make it really distinct from all the other "care" skills and interactions that already exist.  Personally, I'd love to be a doctor in more than just name and care for those who are under the weather.

    Also, as a bit of friendly advice, suggestions for the game, like this one, are best placed in the Idea Forum.  But don't worry yourself too much, just about everyone makes the mistake of posting in General.
