hmm.. 'Where you begin' is quite open ended.. it's really all about what kinda app you want to make and it's general purpose.
As for some tips and tutorials, there are some useful tutorials over on the
blog which can help you start to understand the flows of authorisation, API and using the sprite sheets for animation - and even if the examples given in each post is not written in your preferred programming language, the basic principles entailed can still help! (:
There's also the
API Method Explorer which can help with understanding what each method's required access token type is, be it read/write etc.., and their required arguments. Plus there's also some awesome art and code examples available under the
resources section which can help your application get the overall 'Glitch'y feel! (:
What I personally think is the absolute 'beginning' is figuring out what kinda app you want to make, What will it's purpose be? What makes it more awesome than other applications out there? Then, of course, get yourself an
API key and starting coding those lil' fingers off! :D
