Moving Boxes. Will they be big enough for all of my ****?

I am wondering, as all reputable hoarders out there are...

Will the moving boxes be big enough for the stacks of materials that I have been hoarding in my house since I first moved in there? I must have hundreds of thousands of items. All collected dutifully in my glitchy rounds of Ur.

Can a developer ease my worried little glitch mind and tell me "Yes, Jope. All of your cherished belongings will fit into just one of our super sized Alph Carting & Storage bins".

Please say I can keep all of my good stuff.

Thanks,
- Jope

  • This post might help: http://www.glitch.com/forum/general/15303/

    Especially this:

Miso George: Please tell me we'll get a warning *before* the house is swept out from under us!  Otherwise how will I be able to move all my extensive amounts of hoarded stuff out before the change!  D:> now sooo worried.

Stoot: Miso George: you don't need to worry about moving your stuff — that will all be automatic.

Not sure what the removal company will be called tho :D

  • I hope we get brawnier versions of the auction frogs to help us move our hoards.

  • I'm actually curious about the mechanics of the 'moving boxes' I've heard about.   Obviously they'll have to hold bags.  How many slots will they have?  Just how long do we have to unload a box?    Do I have to completely unload a box as soon as I open it?   Will I be able to move one of these mega-boxes while I am in the act of sorting through all the boxes I have?

  • I'm pretty sure it will be like clockwork rabbit says, a pile in your new house. Since you will automatically have a new house, your stuff will automatically be there.

  • Those piles might be fun

But then when are piles not fun?

  • piles are less fun when you can't go diving in them

  • They won't actually move anything. It will all just be in your imagination.

  • No, your stuff wont all fit in one box, you will have to use this magic twinkie that I have available for sale.

    It costs 2 Billion currants..

  • A concrete question: what if all the stuff is not in bags? I have heaps covering almost all of the floor space in my house (there's the meat heap, the purple flower heap, etc). Will that all be neatly moved for us and dropped in some organized fashion at the destination?

  • Just a guess - one solitary pile.

[ There likely won't be room in the initial house, so the easy solution to program would be to just put it all in one spot ]

  • If there is a moving box, I would imagine it would only be able to be sent through mail, to avoid using it as extra inventory..
