I wish I could buy more types of specialised containers.

From the main forum area:

I like the specialised containers, but you're effectively paying more money for a less-useful container, since it can't hold everything and you end up with unused space in your inventory. I'd like them to have some extra slots (say, 24 instead of 16). I'd also add some more specialised containers, like these:

Mining sack, which would automatically collect my ore when I added it to my inventory and had a few extra slots.

Icebox, which would automatically collect food, also with extra slots.

First aid kit, which would collect potions.

Any other suggestions?

  • Nice! But you can name your bags. Simple putting your mining bag in the first slot from the left while mining will force the ore into your bag. Unless it's full. The icebox idea, is fantastic. I cook a lot and I am in constant need for extra food storage space. 32 is just not enough.

  • I know what you're saying about having the bag on the left, but when you buy some food or find a gem it will also go into that bag. Hey, that's another good idea for a specialised bag - a jewellery box!

  • I like the idea of mining sacks which, much like the elements/spice containers, would be automatic ore collectors.  Right now, I mine a lot; I carry 4 bigger bags at all times: one each for metal, beryl, sparkly, & dullite (yes, I have a really heavy pack!).  These bags are the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth to the left, because I have a catch-all and then an overflow catch-all bag (bonuses, teleportation scripts, anything else automatically thrown a me). But it's true that when I complete a stack of ore, the next pieces go into the catch-all and then I have to move them into their proper bag.  Now, in my system I'd still have to sort ore from mining sack to mining sack (unless I mine in order to complete a bag, which I often do), but it would still be nice to have bags that wouldn't also act as overflows for bonuses (e.g. no cheese sammich in my sparkly bag).

I also like the icebox idea.  I have a dedicated bigger bag for food (in the last slot) but am always pulling food bonuses from the catch-all into the food bag.  I would want this only to be prepared food, though - harvests (either from crops or fruit/bean/egg trees) should remain in the catch-all because we interact with them differently (except for those times when we have to eat a stack of eggs because it's all we have because we were lazy and didn't make food before going off to a project, not that that's ever happened to me, ahem).  The icebox would also help avoid missed food bonuses, which would be nice if the food spoilage idea that Stoot posted about a couple weeks ago came to pass.

  • I wish I could put bags into slots in bags! At least for one level...Yeah, I know this will never happen, but a girl can dream...

  • I wish we had 3 or 4 more slots for bags, as well as bags with 20 slots,
plus spice racks, alchemy boxes, and elemental pouches should fit into bigger bags!

  • +1 to mining and icebox bags. I've been wanting the icebox one, especially, for ages.
