I was able to store more than 998 yellow crumb flowers in an SBD?
Is that allowed?

They store 998 stacks, so you can store, for example, 998 x 5 bushels of grain in an SDB.

Stacks, yup. So get going on those 79,840 butterfly milks! ;)
-
Ohhhh! sorry for asking such a stupid question xD
-
Does the SDB store the stacks in the form they were added, or does it combine partial stacks to maximise capacity?
i.e. If I add 998 butterfly milks, a single bottle at a time, is my SDB now 'full' or will it have internally organised those into 13 stacks, leaving room for lots more.
[Edit: fix dodgy arithmetic]

And why 998? Surely 997 would have been a better choice?
-
I think it combines partial stacks to maximise capacity.
-
Not a stupid question! :)
-
It definitely combines partial stacks :)
-
But it also keeps track of filled and unfilled jars of fireflies...

I somehow have 79,863 milks in a single SDB, which is more than 998 stacks. I haven't tried to add more, for fear it would explode.

@ Leites
I would be frightened too.
-
do it!!!!!
-
Oh do it. In the name of Science and butter(fly)milk
-
So I got up to 80,000 milks and then it told me "I'm full" and wouldn't take any more. I guess in some cases that SDBs take 1,000 stacks rather than 998.

SCIENCE!!!
-
Staff, I think Bees!, did say early on that it was 1000 stack per SDB
-
I am so impressed with your 80,000 milks! I was all excited when I filled a Bigger Bag with them!
-
wtf is a SDB? Sorry for the stupid question...

Storage Display Box (SDB): http://www.glitch.com/items/sdb/
You can only put one type of item in it, but you can put lots of that one item in the SDB.
-
ooooh yeah i know it, just haven't remembered... Thanks :D

Hm the FAQ says 998, but is it really still 1000?
