Love the new post signs ,,,...But

I am getting a lot of nice folks leaving messages saying so sorry for cleaning out your crop of yc But....
I never read your signs firts. Potions are expensive to seed herb, and I know we dont have lock down ...Yet for our front yard gardens. I think maybe that neat sign that has dots all around could light up to flash folks there is an important message to read before taking the crop.I dont mind sharing but am getting a bit stiffald at the way a lot just take and leave bare.

  • Players who are inconsiderate enough to clear a garden without shucking and replanting won't care about a flashing sign. They'll ignore it same as they ignore the sign you have out there now.

If you care about the crop in a garden, it needs to be planted in your backyard. You have no claim beyond the usual 60 seconds after maturity to herbs/crops in your front yard.

  • Some folks do read and heed, I totaly agree with poster above, at least let the avatar visiting make their own choice. We I think all know front yards are open for everyone to pick away at, am sure that Gassy is long time poster knows this as well. good idea +1 kudos for a great idea.we all love decent play action  in all  players.

  • I had three messages this morning saying I never read your sign first and realized I came without seeds to replenish your herbs.Other message said same, sorry forgot to read sign and will mail you some.Maybe this idea could work for those that pick before reading what the true owner of garden would like you to do.Just a thought, I read everyones signs and do what they ask.

  • Gassy Jack, I knew before checking out your street that the notes on your signs wouldn't have titles.  I highly recommend changing the notes so that there is as much clear information in the title as you can fit.  Something like "please hoe and replant" would be ideal but even "info about garden" would be better.  People mousing over or whatever will be able to know that the note is directly relevant to what they're doing, rather than ignoring the note because as far as they can tell it isn't relevant to them.

  • :)

Sometimes hoeing/replanting can be a function of if you're on a garden route, if you're also on different routes, etc (i.e. what the people who are in your street are there for - if they're there for a garden route they may know hoe/replant is courteous but if lots of people are there for other reasons they may be taking advantage of the garden and not having the same mindset towards it). But I've also seen from experience that note wording can make a difference too.  It's not perfect as you'll always have people skip the notes or read and not care but my guess and hope is that you'll see a difference :)
