What can I do with lumps of earth?

As with most glitchers, i love interacting with anything i can in the game. I've been collecting lumps of earth for the longest time, and the only thing I can seem to do with them is donate them to shrines for not many points. Is there anything productive that can be done with lumps of earth? Is there a point to my digging it up?

  • You learn Blockmaking I. Then go to a Community Machine Room, or make a Blockmaker by buying the parts from hardware vendors. Now, you use the lumps of earth by using this blockmaker. You can make different kinds of blocks using different recipes. For example, if I want to make a Grade AAA Earth Block, Then I will need some allspice and some lumps of earth. The blockmaker machines also use fuel. That's why you buy a fuel cell from a hardware vendor. These bricks and blocks are often used for street projects. Or you can donate them or sell them.

  • You need engineering to make blocks. Of course blocks aren't really used for anything... yet.

Once upon a time, dirt and loam only came from patches. There were no piles. So every time a project needed blocks (or just mass loads of dirt and loam), whole areas would get stripped of trees.

And so began the era we now refer to The Poison Wars.

  • It was. I couldn't find a tree for like, 8 whole streets in the Height! All I found was patches, dug out so I couldn't dig it :(
Thank the giants for the Dirt Piles!
PS: And Wood trees! There was another reason to poison. Planks. Projects needed em.
