  • Sorry to say it, Saddy, but this is nuts.  Emblems are just not that hard to come across, so I got say to any Glitch pondering this offer...don't!

Ps- those considering spending currants on gems...you would do better to donate them to Zille and get your emblem that way!

  • Is Zille more special than other giants? o.O 10k currants seems a lot for an emblem...

  • It's only worth 1000 favor, so its actually an exactly equivalent currants to favor offer.  And, if you are past the first emblem, you'd have to donate more than 10,000 currants of stuff to obtain the emblem.

Doesn't look like all that bad a deal to me, if you have a skill that Zille will help you learn especially.

  • If you take EHSP into account, though, you can chop the currant price of an emblem down to 3,333. Plus, you wouldn't get the XP boost by purchasing the emblem rather than donating for it.

  • Regardless of the value, is this the right place to advertise an emblem for sale?

  • No, just no.

Remember that 10 currents worth of goods = 1 favor. An emblem can be gotten for a minimum of 1000 favors, or 10 000 currents worth of goods. However, this holds true only if you're buying stuff from the vendor and dumping them into the shrine, which is silly. Look up Zog's Glitchy Tools' live auction section, you can find items sold 10-25% more cheaply than listed price. Throw in one use of Extremely Hallowed Shrine Powder, currently sold at 1900 currents per bottle, and you've got yourself a fairly cheap emblem.

The math: Assuming 1200 favors (2 emblems previously obtained), you'll need 4000 current worth of goods, at 25% discount from auction that would be 3000 currents spend plus one use of EHSP which is 380. Comes up finally to 3380 currents.

  • I had 6 Zille Emblems at one point, when I was doing the 1511 favor quest. Spent 4 and gave one to my girlfriend's glitch. The most expensive one, the 1500 favor one, only cost me 4570 currents (5 Moonstones @ 830 currents each and 1/5 of EHSP @ 2100). So I think this is a pretty bad deal.

  • Seasoned Beans and EHSP enough Said 900 favor for 20 beans.

  • Most items are worth easy favor.
333 Meat and EHSP is 999 favor, 333 meat is easily gained overnight with 15~ piggies
416 Sparkly and EHSP is 998~ favor, not too bad if you get lucky in ajaya/neva, but a bit annoying otherwise
416 Butterfly Milk and EHSP is 998~ favor, not too bad at all when you have AK6 or higher

Several recipes, things from trees, almost anything is just more worth it because of the way EHSP works, it'd be pointless to pay 10k for an emblem, the only worth it has over donating yourself is if you hit the favor cap, but if you can be online you can probably get close to as much out of Pungent Sunrise (not sure, as I've yet to use it, but it's description seems to lead to that).

  • I prefer to sell Sparkly Chunks to a Tool Vendor and then buy discounted Diamonds at auction. Better usage of funds IMO
Posted 14 months ago by TRB4 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • TRB4, that doesn't really work...

Say you have 250 sparkly chunks. That's a total of 200 favor when donated - equal to 1 diamond.

The problem is that those sparkly chunks sell for 1500 to a tool vendor. Can you buy a diamond for under 1500?

  • @Abby: Oh - I never thought about it like that. Good to know :D

Also: Just wanted to second/third/fiftheenth that this is a REALLY bad deal :)

  • @Abby- you can totes get a diamond for less than 1500- I've seen them for as low as 1K. Why you'd sell your sparkly then buy a diamond to donate I don't know, though- surely mining enough to warrant selling would get you a gem or two, I'd think.

  • It's not a super common thing though and you might as well just donate the sparkly instead of going through the hassle.

If OP is still selling that (but for less) I'd be willing to pay hmm, 4,000 for it.

  • If you can ever get a diamond for under 1500 you should buy it immediately... and then resell it for the 1600 it goes to the tool vendor for.

But yeah, the point is that when it's between sparkly and selling them to buy something else, unless the other item is specifically *under*priced (less than selling-to-vendor price), the sparkly is a better donation.

I dunno. I don't think the initial post is a particularly bad trade. The emblems only get harder and harder anyways.

  • It's only worth 1,000 favor and unless I'm missing something you can't Contemplate/Caress/Consider more than 1 Emblem of each god per day anyway, so having more than one Lem for example brings little value to holding it?
(At least it gave me issues trying to rub both my Mab emblems)

  • @Abby- I do, every time. I've bought two today, one at 1100 and one at 1235.
