Excessive donating

When you over donate pass what is needed for an emblem, the excess is discarded.
How about have an overflow that is adds favor toward the next emblem.
OR.. a warning that the excess will be discarded.

  • Totally agree, would like it to carry over.

  • There IS usually a warning... but it doesn't kick in consistently. So this might be a bug.

  • Favor should carry over, just as XP does.  Favor is harder to come by, too.

  • Thanks all :D
Clare, a warning would make the most sense but I've never seen it.
In general, I think that if the excess donation could just be acknowledged (even with just a special gaming message) it would go a long way.  In this vein, here is another suggestion.

    * If there is any excess favor points, then you get a special, friendly comment from a grateful giant... ex. "Well that was above and beyond the call of duty...Not bad for a Glitch!" (modifying the "Here an emblem, puny Glitch.." message.

    * If the excess is greater that 10 favor points or so, then you get an extra-special, friendly comment for a grateful giant... "You like me... you really like me!" ... for example. ;)

    * If the excess is far greater (100+ pts), then a SUPER extra-special, friendly comment for a very, very grateful giant... and automatically get a game ticket. :)

  • Strange Eizwort, but I get the warning all the time. It gives the choice between donate anyway or "no thank you." I don't think I've ever gone over and NOT had the warning.

  • Audaria, the warning is given to you if you would go over your maximum allowed for the day, not if you would get an emblem. So, if you were close to getting the emblem when the new day started, then tried to donate enough to push it over the edge, but not hit your maximum allowed for the day, you could get an emblem with no warning. I've done it plenty of times... it's irritating.

I would also love a warning before receiving an emblem, and would like to see extra favor points donated above and beyond what was required for the emblem be applied to the next go-around, rather than being lost forever as it is automatically set to zero.

  • For example, if you have 1200 maximum favor and currently are at 400 favor if you donate something that gives you 900 favor (which would put you at 1300, over the limit) you'll get no warning and lost the extraneous 100 favor while receiving the emblem.

You can donate up to your maximum donation in one day (1200 in this case) before receiving a warning. So, if you donate 1000 favor, spend it, and then try to donate 300 more you WILL get a warning. The warning doesn't show until you try to spend 1point more than your daily allotment.

  • Sorry, I misread. Of course you are right!

  • While I agree with everything here, I'd like to toss in a suggestion. The favor you get from leveling up will often push you to getting an emblem when you might have preferred to spend the points. I would like an option to spend the points back down to zero instead of being forced to take an emblem.

  • I have always felt sad when my extra favor went poof! into the ether - especially when I had accidentally over-donated while trying to speed up skill learning.
