Group UI improvement

I've noticed that it's really hard to see who's in your group and who's not. What I'd like to suggest is that, on the groups page ( alpha.glitch.com/groups/ ), when looking at groups you're a member of, turn the counter that displays the number of members into a link that goes to a page with a list of all group members, arranged like the friends list in your profile.

That way, you not only know what groups your in, but can quickly tell, at a glance, who your groupmates are!

  • I saw one group that actually has their members listed somehow, with their avatars/links to profiles page: GeekyNerdyTalk. Not sure how they did that but maybe their admin. could weigh in on this one....

  • Group discussion posts support full HTML and hyperlinking, so that's probably how. Still, if there's another way, I'd love to see it.

  • If you're a group admin, one of the options you can set is to allow people to see the list of members.

  • Really now? Gonna have to pester Vexia about that then. Thanks kindly, dopiaza.

I guess, since this feature already exists (and just isn't on by default unless an admin enables it), this could be closed?

  • We could perhaps make this a general suggestion thread for the group UI improvement. I just posted a huge wall of text in my group discussion on accident; I meant to break it up with spaces, but when I hit the return key once, it moved my i-beam down to what appeared to be two spaces lower than the text so I assumed I was good (but I just made an ass out of you and me instead :P). Now I can't edit my post, but it would be much easier on the eyes if I could add some spaces. In the same way that we can edit our forum posts, could we be allowed to edit our group discussion post?

  • Take a look here, Vexia.  hitherto has kindly squashed the pesky bug that prevents editing posts in Group discussions!
