  • +1 jsnkrns! I don't mind watering, but if I ever have to (Giants forbid) take a break from Glitch longer than a few days, I'll stock up my piggy feeders but I'm worried about my trees.

  • The effort to make crops seems disproportionate to that required to get grain and meat - and getting herbs compared to crops seems the same. S'pretty rough. I thought I heard that we'd be getting automation of some of that stuff down the line, more on principle than on practice tho.

  • Agreed that crop tending feels unbalanced with the rest of the game.  Between the tedium/resource cost of collecting guano, the huge amount of time for some crops, the pain of getting pigs to plop, the repetetiveness of clearing and watering and planting and tending and applying guano and........it feels like significantly more individual steps than any other operation in the game.  I think it needs to be completely rethought.

  • Oh, I agree...  it's so tedious!  (IMHO...  play the game any way that appeals to you, of course.)  I don't even bother with my crop garden unless there's a special circumstance, like the pumpkin seeds.  Otherwise, I just try to cover up the area with meat collectors and piggy feeders.  Would much rather have more trees, personally.

  • Mostly I feel the opposite way.  Crops are something that develop while you are not in the game, like at... work!   I can plant in the morning and log on in the evening and they have grown while I was away.  What's not to like about that?

I mean, it's hardly even as bad as standing in front of a 'rock' for 10 minutes watching the pick swing.
