"Warning: You will receive 0 favor for this donation. Proceed anyway?"

I don't see the point in being able to give a donation that won't increase favor. There should be a warning message of some sort before someone ends up wasting an unwanted item entirely if they could sell it instead, or tossing in only one of something when two would get them a favor point, to give a few examples.

  • There are those however that do not need the favor but donate for XP, or to complete the 11 emblems to get an icon. You could always check your favor before donating.

  • If you don't get the favor, you aren't working toward the emblem. So donating is useless at that point for that game day for emblems.

It could be you can still get xp, don't know that for sure because I usually reach my xp limit before I go over my favor limit for that shrine.

    +1111 for Kestin's suggestion.

  • No need for a warning, it's a learning experience for the donor when that happens.

Glitches quickly learn that the gods want the big-ticket items like rubies, music boxes and expensive tools.

  • XP and mood.

XP is earned is capped at something like 10% of your to-next-level [don't recall if the cap is modified by mood...] which means that, at higher levels, you'll have to visit multiple shrines to hit the cap without wasting favor. (I think my record was hitting the favor limit at 8 shrines in one gameday doing that.)

Mood restoration is uncapped as far as I know, but I'm pretty sure there are most cost-effective ways to restore it.

  • Simply this: the more expensive the item the more favour points: eg 2 cherries might be 1 point whereas a ruby might be 35 points
