Rocks! Free! But first you have to tell me what they are for.
hiya!
I went a little overboard mining dullite, beryl, and sparkly. Now I have rocks everywhere, and I don't know what to do with them. Should I take them all to Ilmenske and dump them?
They are for crushing into elements, combining into compounds using a test tube, and turning into powders using a beaker! You'll need to learn some new skills though (check out Alchemy, Element Handling, Refining, and Intermediate Admixing).
If you don't feel like having a stockpile while you learn the relevant skills, donate them to a shrine or sell them to a street vendor for cold hard currants!
Or if you can't wait for the skills sell them to a vendor, cebrakul is the best, auction them, or donate to the giant of your choice. Honestly theres no point in dropping stuff for others.
Although its worth dropping odd items about for the happy factor, knowing someone is going to stumble over it.
Donating is a good thing to do when you've accumulated a lot of something, especially if it's something you aren't able to use.
If you want to sell for currants instead, other players may pay quite a bit more than the street vendors. This is especially true for dullite and metal ore. You can sell to other players in several ways:
1. Sell items in batches using the Auction House. To maximize your chances of making a sale (so you can recover the fees charged) check the prices being set by others and set your prices accordingly.
2. Advertise what you have for sale in the Marketplace forum.
3. Once you get the upgrade card for the Trade Channel, you can use that while you are in the game to find buyers.
4. More experienced players can sell things from SDBs in their towers, and some of them will sell for new players in this way. If you work with a more experienced player in this way, however, you will need to trust this person,
The elements can then be used to turn plain metal into fancy metals with a pair of tongs: Tin, Copper and Molybdenum they can also be used with a test tube and beaker to make compounds and powders.
Now it looks like they are for talking to. Be warned. The devs took the time to make it so they won't shut up. They just keep talking, and talking...and talking.
If i hit you with a pick axe, I don't care about your story. (edit: Your story being the rocks story...for your[you] rock problem, I would sell them at the tool vendor.)
Ann, if you are a new player you are probably better off donating them to get emblems which are useful to meditate on (which gives you Img, which gives you everything else) and unlock several skills.
If you are a midlevel player you want to keep all the ore you can, as sooner or later you are going to use it for making metal stuff and alchemical stuff (and believe me, you'll wish you have much more than you do)
