Using the auction search to find strange/unused/removed/not-yet-implemented items

EDIT: This no longer works. The Devs have removed almost every item listed here from the auction search results. I wonder if this topic prompted the sudden house cleaning?

I believe that the auto predict on the auction search is maybe "too good".If you type a single letter in to the auction search box it will list every item in (and more interestingly not in) the game that begins with that letter. Well every item that is able to be auctioned. I know most of you know this, but I'm am sure that there are many people who don't. The following is a list of items that are not currently available in the game:

Abstraction
Admin Widget (Starman for the win)
Anxiety
Apple Juice
Apprehension
Ayn Rand Doll
apple seed (Apple trees?)
Basic Sno Cone (maybe at one time we were going to be able to flavor our own)

Gas
Goat Arse
Goat Liquer
Goat eye
Golden Egg (Most likely a seasonal item)
Grain Seed (Guess before chickens made grain?)
Green Leaf (Maybe became Spinach?)
Green Leaf Seed
Hope
Ideal
Image

Jamon Bellota
Juicer
Juju Shoo-Shoo Powder
Kaysadillah
Letter Block A

I don't want to see any goat arms.  That would imply a bipedal goat.  And that just creeps me out.

  • I didn't list the holiday eggs because they still have active entries in the official Glitch encyclopedia. So I assume they will probably be back sometime around Easter. I also didn't list the yeti either because it is still in the encyclopedia too. I tried listing all the items that not listed in the encyclopedia.

It makes me hopeful that the Rube will eventually offer them for trade again. Or, yaknow, we might be able to get them in some other way.

  • I've seen most of these item names via the wiki or auction search.  I think it's kinda cool that we can see old items in there, and possible new ones.  It creates a fun sort of hype and anticipation that new things will be released soon.  I'm sure if the devs decide they want to hide this stuff, it will go away. ^_^

  • You know, good sheep ass vodka comes from sheep that have been fed potatoes grown in Alakol at elevations above 9200'. The correct way to drink it is at a crisp 22 degrees f while popping wheelies on your fixie in the Wintry Place.

  • A couple of goat parts, sheep spirits and a dead piggy? Hopefully there's not going to be a "sacrifice to the gods" quest.

Variation in oyster and milk types look good. What puzzles me most is why there are representations of abstract items there... hope, anxiety, worry... How are they going to be used?

I still go for my theory that "dead piggies" are pigs in hell which the player has to resurrect. And they plop grapes.

  • My suspicion regarding the abstract items is that imagination is everything in Ur.  Therefore, the endgame will revolve around harnessing pure thought and imagination to whatever purpose you desire.

  • Green leaf is definitely in the category of old stuff from Alpha (although that doesn't mean it won't also be new stuff, I guess....):http://www.glitch-strategy.com/wiki/Green_Leaf

I would think that the glitch-strategy wiki would be a source of information on probably more than one (although certainly not all) of these items.  I don't have the time or inclination to type each and every one of them into the search, but it might be a worthwhile pursuit for someone....
