Bubble Trees

So, I was looking for some Bubble Trees because I wanted to do some cooking and apparently, Awesome Pot recipes love bubbles.  I thought there were some in Ix so I went and...no bubble trees.  I then went to Uralia and...no bubble trees.  They all seemed to be replaced by Gas Plants, which are great for some people but not for me.

Now, I'm all about doing whatever you want and I really don't want to complain, but can we not kill EVERY kind of a certain tree in an area.  I saw this with Tamila as well where a street started out with a mixture of fruit and bean trees and ended up being all fruit trees.  I also saw this complaint too with spice plants.  If you want more gas plants in an area then that's fine, but I'm sure a lot of people get annoyed when you have to look for 15 minutes for a tree that should have been in that area.  It's just a notice.

Thank you and that is all.

  • I know but there used to be a bunch in Ix and that was a 2 minute walk from my house.  I think there's some in Kajuu as well but I think they should be on the southern (?) part of the map as well.

  • Well, if the southern part of the map wasn't the only place you can find spice and gas plants, then maybe it the bubbles and beans in Ix and the Firebog wouldn't get eliminated with such prejudice. But it is, so they are.

I'm sure there is a design reason for this and hopefully, there will be some new places where you can plant spice and gas plants, but until then, this is how it's going to be.

  • I understand.  Just leave 2 or 3 of the different trees in the areas, that's all.  You don't need gas for many things and there's enough there to stock up for a long time but diversity in the different areas is nice.

  • Homura, this is the constant ebb and flow at this point. Dig deeply and you'll see threads about not enough spice tress in areas, or gas, or bean, or even fruit.

I'm not arguing with you at all. BUT it is part of the flow of life. Most likely you are right. And it will correct itself (with the help of you and others). And then it will over compensate.

I hope TS is keeping stats on trees. I would LOVE to see some graphs of tree diversity over time.

213 bubble trees in the world.
    63 gas trees.
    46 spice trees.

  • I used the locations greasemonkey script. It allows you to filter streets by many many things.

  • That's why sometimes it's good to remove trees. (Yes, making propoganda again for the services of La Resistance.)
We can make the balance right again. (No, we did not unbalance it in the first place...)

@ Lord Bacon-O: So you can't plant wood trees in some obscure place for safety?
I know of some woodplants who are allready planted about 3 tests ago, so they're very old. I would like them to not be cleared.
