Party costs?

I'm new to parties and don't understand how parties work.  I read the descriptions of party packs so I know what you buy.  But does the price of the pack include the cost of teleporting people to the party? If not, how would you know how much currents you'd need to bring everyone to the party?

What is the etiquette about what you can pick up or mine?

Thanks in advance

  • The cost to teleport to a party is in either energy or tokens. So you can't directly use currants to transfer people to the party. Indirectly you could possibly provide the food for the energy for your guests.

  • Can you summon a guest to a party?   I've never tried it.

  • Hi Peachesan-
The party pack price includes the room rental, the music and the food. If I remember correctly the party giver gets transported automatically, but the other party-goers have to make their own way to the party (using currrants or a TP credit). Or they can be summoned by someone already at the party. As the hostess, you are not expected to transport all your guests to the party site (just like real life, your hostessing starts when they walk in the door)

Etiquette is just like in real life. Be a nice guest and share. People will want you at their parties if you are a good guest. MOST of the spawned food needs preparation - meaing the ingredients appear but someone has to cook or bartend them into the party treats. When I am at a party I tend to pick up all of the ingredients for a particular drink or food and make it. Then I either put them down one at a time or give them to other glitchen one at a time. The hostess is not expected to do all of the food and drink preparation.

It is not good ettiquette to take everything, making the rounds from spawn-spot to spawn-spot, but it does happen. As the hostess, you have the right (and ability) to kick people out of the party. You have no conrol over who other guests invite, but you can kick anyone out at any time. Don't be afraid to use this - asshats ruin the part for everyone and you are not obligated to allow bad behavoir.

  • Yes you can summon people to the party, but the party needs to have an open spot.

  • This is my understanding.... People in the party can invite friends on their friends list. If you've been invited, you can accept. In the past, I've accepted an invitation, then it's cost me energy to get to the party. But there are treats in the party that spawn automatically, so that makes up for the energy the guests use to travel to the party. Sometimes, as  a guest, I put some food or drinks down, because your bring food and drinks to parties in the real world. If the party is very crowded, it might be polite for guests to put down some food or drink. Etiquette? I guess it's just like a real party.. Try to have some fun with the other people rather than just eating or drinking. Share.

  • I'm always a bit curious about what can be made from parts, or combinations of the food from the spawn spots, beyond the suggested ones.

  • "but the party needs to have an open spot"

Is there a limit to the number of guests you can have at a party??

  • @Miss Portinari: I think it's 40?

Also, Peachesan, this is not Umi-amounts of food. There are stations to make stuff. Usually 3-10 items of each thing. They respawn fairly quickly though.
