All the new changes and quests and stuff have put so much pressure on a number of 'special resources' that the game has turned into an incredible scramble for certain things. I am someone who has moved a lot and enjoyed surfing the 'Real Estate' listings for new and interesting places to live. I've spent some time in the bog world, catching fireflies, grabbing jellisacs for block and fuel making, etc.
But with the new quests putting even MORE pressure on the Bog areas, where the questy people and the growth industry of auction operators who pander to their needs are all competing for the harvestable stuff, I am about through for the time being with any interest in exotica.
I am going back to squeezing chickens, nibbling piggies, and harvesting from trees. And so far I have been having a lot of fun just getting out and about doing it. When you've topped out your animal and vegetable skill trees you get a fabulous yield from just doing the basics, and it's sort of relaxing to just do a circuit and interact with all the critters and trees out on the streets.
I've moved to a medium-end Groddle cottage and I think I'm finally going to stay in one place for awhile. I hope to see folks around more on the streets.

Added: This is not a complaint thread, and please let's not make it one. I'm just celebrating what fun the basic street mechanics of the game are. It's fun to squeeze chickens, nibble piggies, etc. Hope other people feel the same.
