Community Gardens

I've been reading the GNE museum site and I've been surprised by how many elements from GNE, have been transfered to Glitch, (even worded, like in the encyclopedia descriptions). Anyway, I saw this note of somewhere called the Wintermute Community Garden... www.gnespy.com/museum/read_...

I'd love something like this in Glitch!! The whole idea of 'feel free to take stuff, but plant something too' is so nice and social.

  • I agree, Hburger!
The community garden you've read about on that note wasn't actually an implemented part of the game but was something the players created. As it has been mentioned before, GNE wasn't as evolved as Glitch already is. Which let to numerous mini-games, haiku battles in main chat and imaginary things like the community garden (probably located near the Wintermute Tower which is now sort of resembled by the Gregarious Tower).
It would be very nice to see an implemented community garden in Glitch!

Good idea. We should see if there would be groups of people interested in such things, or if there's a way to implement such thing in this game.
This brings me back to the Guilds idea. Guilds could have a "guild garden."

  • +1 million billion. I think my favorite feature of Glitch is going to be guilds and community things. It almost seems like it will do a great job of connecting the forums and the in-game chat. I'd love to see community gardens soon!

That'd be a great idea! Also @Mina haiku battles? That also sounds delightful!
