Imagine a new land...

This idea post is fascinating if you consider it and run with it.   I want to put it here for everyone to see.

I imagine a whole new continent that Glitches could emigrate to, much like Europeans emigrated to America.   You would keep your skills, but leave everything behind except for a few tools, seeds and livestock.  Your house reverts to a starter home.  The land would be lush, but wild.   Emigrants would have to imagine the trees, expose the rocks, uncover the quoins, hatch the animals, find the wild fauna.   In game vendors would cluster at settled edges such that player-run trading outposts would be needed.   You could only visit houses of people who had emigrated, even though you could still email friends you left behind.   Those who don't emigrate can't see that land except through snaps and emails from friends who have.

It could be a large cooperative mega-quest.   I would go.

  • So, basically two Glitches.

Based on your last two threads, may I suggest an alt?  That may satisfy your desire for a new beginning.

  • I don't think that's quite what Walruz means. The idea of a sort-of-kind-of-voluntary-reset that also involves new lands being imagined sounds cool to me :)

Though I must admit there are other endgame goals I'd rather see.

  • It's hard to imagine how you could leave your house behind when it's inside your head.

  • This may not be the same, but I do imagine someday the world of Ur will grow to the point that the giants may want to imagine a second, entirely new world adjacent to Ur.
