Piggies are stealing my AllSpice!

Well, OK not so much they are stealing as I am getting into lag whilst nibbling and petting and accidentally pressing the enter key way too many times apparently and when it gets to feed and the first thing in my list is allspice so ** poof ** all my spice is gone LoL  Then it is beans and so forth...

Can we maybe get the default action the user lands on in the feed dialog to be the x to quit out of the dialog?

I keep thinking of the old alka-seltzer commercials every time I mess up and lose my mind - I mean my spice: "Mama-mia thatsa one spicy piggy"

  • I hope hope that maybe one day soon we will be able to purchase animal pens as too few homes come with them.  My one pig is always eating from my trees even though I do feed it.

  • YES! I keep doing this too. I was going to post about it but I figured it was just me.. I've lost hundreds of spice that way... maybe thousands.

I don't think we want the X to come up first, because it's so useful in other respects to have the most logical thing come up first (like when you're mining etc), but I'd like it to be that the Just One option was first, rather than the All of em option. It's more common - especially with feeding pigs - that you want to do a smaller number than that you want to dump the lot.

Glad to know I'm not alone! Spiceless... but not alone.

  • Lol, I had such a ‘Dune’ moment when I read the title of this thread.

  • I think the items in the feed box are arranged in the same order they appear in your inventory (not sure though, I'll probably check this once I get in the game later). You can try putting your spice rack (or spices) at the far end of your inventory and see if that helps.

  • I too would love the "Just One" option to be the default.  Sometimes my mouse driver goes a bit creative and automatically double-clicks for me.  I bet you can guess what happens next!

  • Yeah this annoys me also.  What's worse though is the batterflys stealing my allspice or other food when I'm spam clicking enter to mine and then they move into range.

  • @Papa Voudou - So it is true!  The piggies are all the dogs of the Harkonen!

I like the just one idea as well.  I posted without looking at the arrangement closely.

  • I've done this a couple of times too!  A default to 'just one' would be great!
Thaddeus - I bet that was one yummy pig with all that spice!

  • That happened to me yesterday, after a full tour in LX.  I was so bummed!!!  I'm so glad I'm not alone on this one, because I couldn't figure out what happened!! HA!  Thanks!

  • +roderick - Naw, its in alphabetical order when you do things like that/donate.
+1 "Just One" option first.  This would also help when eating skill boosters such as Earthshakers.  I'm always extremely careful to not eat all of em at once by accident.

  • I've accidentally donated 500+ spice to a shrine for the same reason before - lag.  :-P  I'm hoping the lag will be a thing of the past someday.  I try to be extra careful now.

  • I don't know if you have tried this or if it would help in your situation but this is my idea--
Download the debugger version of this game. So go to the bug forum (left side choices) and try that. Sometimes I've noticed with me that it is an incompatibility of Flash to work with this game temporarily when Flash is updated.

  • Wait.... Piggies eat what you leave on the ground...? Gah! My house is full of food on the ground, and I just captured and freed a piggy in there! Must quickly pick all the food items up!

Unless they only eat stuff in the garden? (hopefully not herbs?)

  • Mine would only eat the potatoes I left on the yard back of the house this time around.  They wouldn't touch tomatoes, onions, or grain however.  Once you get RHK you can fill up a feeder and then I've only rarely had them nibble on anything but that (unless it went empty.)

They never come into my house proper, only in the backyard so I still leave stuff inside the house on the floor.

Beware the Ninjapiggy Yui!  LoL They'll be after purple next!

  • They don't eat things in the garden plots, so you are OK there Sunburst

  • Ahh! I was wondering why they were making the 'Yum!' speech bubbles when I wasn't feeding them (thought maybe they were feeding off the eggplant, I assumed wild piggies fed off the trees). Turns out my piggys have been eating my herbs! I became suspicious after I saw that you could feed a piglet herbs, so I checks the pile of herbs that I keep next to my herb garden. All my yellow crumb, gandlevery, some rookswort, most of my purple, some of my silvertongue, and a little of my rubeweed were gone D:

  • Another request for "just one" being the default, to prevent donating/feeding my entire stock of Allspice (and then Beans, then Birch Syrup...) by accident.

Big thanks for now being able to specify an exact number. Makes feeding time much easier.

  • I did this once, lost 250 allspice. Went to Ix and got in all back in 10 minutes.

I guess if you carry more than a stack it could be a bigger problem.

  • Surprisingly, piggies also eat piggy plops.  I thought those would be safe left lying there, but yesterday I saw my piggy go "yum", and my nascent seed stash was gone.
Posted 14 months ago by WindBorn Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Really? Wow. My piggies are still going 'yum' every now and then, but I'm not sure what they're eating. I'm hoping its the beans I left for them, but they seem to say it beneath the eggplant. The only thing around there is tree antidote and loam :S They don't eat either of those things do they? (my herbs are now safely on a table I found was in one of the rooms, I'm a bit paranoid that they're somehow still eating those).

Oh well, remote herdkeeping soon. That should solve this problem, I hope.
