Among other ones, two things make Glitch fun. That's actually playing the game - gathering resources, crafting, etc; and making friends. Group activities, creativity and chatting. What's been bugging me is that those two things tend to come in the way of each other at times.
Have you ever had a situation where you engaged in a conversation with a fellow glitch and suddenly died out of energy loss or realized that while conversing your glitch lost so much mood that it would take heaps of drinks and cocktails to bring it back to it's top, xp-maximizing state? This means that you have to choose between concentrating on effective playing or socializing.
Here's an idea to remedy that.
The idea is similar in a way to how decorating the house has been handled. While doing that, we don't suffer mood or energy loss. So how about creating an "in conversation" state where you could chat freely without those pesky consequences of generic mood/energy loss? This way we could chat away without nervously trying to keep our glitch busy and entertained. After all he should already be entertained by the fact that he's in a conversation. :)
And idea to implement this: while in private (or party?) chat, clicking on the glitch's name would allow to choose something in the lines "converse with this glitch". After that the state of "in conversation" would be active. To prevent (or at least lessen the impact of) exploits some measures should be taken: the conversing glitches should be in the same street/location; the conversation should be active, i.e. the state of "in conversation" would end if no messages have been exchanges for the past X minutes. Perhaps cancelling the generic mood/en loss would be too much (I see mining parties and similar things as still too easy with this feature implemented), but at least lessening its impact?
