Grain Bundling

I wonder... is there a way to keep the Grain Bundle made from the 250 individually squoozed grains remain in the same slot in my bag that the 250 used to be in? I get tired of searching through all my bags to look for a grain bundle...makes me almost wonder what the point of bundling is in the first place? It takes 20 energy, and then I have to search for it?
Must be an easier way.

  • Can't you then stack bundles, thereby making it so that you can carry more?

  • If you want to do that just set your grain bag to the very first slot.

I do it another way though. The way I have my setup is I have the very first bag empty for sorting purposes. Whenever I get the max of something or pick something new it goes to the first bag, which I can then easily drag it to the appropriate place without searching.

Also the purpose of bundling is to save space on grains. You get 5 bundles a slot so without it you'd have 5 full slots of 250 grain.

  • The way I'm currently organized wouldn't work that way...I understand that the first bag that's got an empty slot is where it should go...but it doesn't, and I swear by the Giants I've tested this more than once.

I rarely have more than one bundle and some loose grains on me (must feed the hoppers!!), so stacking the bundles doesn't happen much, either.

I just think it would be nice for the first bundle to remain in the slot where it started off as loose grain!

  • _ side note you can add bundles of grain at a time to the still :)

Are you sure? I just tried it now and the bundle goes to the first bag that has an empty spot, which it has always done.

If this is honestly bothering you that much how about always leaving 1 single bundle in the bag with your grains, so then anytime you bundle a new one it automatically moves to that first bundle.

  • Lots of these logistical problems would be solved if items went to the first open slot in the currently open bag and only defaulted to the overall first available slot if the open bag is full.

  • For sure, +1.  I've accidentally dropped bundled grain (rather, had it automatically dropped at my feet) because it didn't think to put it automatically in the slot the grain was already in.  Derrr.

  • @Fluxan: Thank you for very concisely putting into words exactly the idea I was trying to convey!!
@Miso: Same thing happens to me...double derr!
