Maybe for a fee, like a postal service? (And it wouldn't be our personal courier?)
I'm of a mixed mind because I don't have a sense of the dynamics of what a larger Glitch world will be. Part of me thinks having to be in the same spot is important (though I can't for the life of me put my finger on why -- we shouldn't be allowed to be virtual hermits?). But it sure woulda been nice if I coulda just sent you those bubbles, too. I guess I'm just looking for a moderating force, and a fee might accomplish that.
somewhat related (and now I'm cross-posting this from another thread), I was musing yesterday that I'd like to be able to order goods from vendors without standing in front of them, and have those goods delivered to my house, maybe for a fee. I was envisioning an Amazon Prime-style purchase and delivery experience.
My character picks up his smartphone, orders from the Tool Vendor's website, and has his order delivered to his house by bird courier within two days or less for a fee. Perhaps snail mail could be the free delivery option.
I'll make a bunch of characters named Hitchcock and send dozens of carrier pigeons to descend upon unsuspecting players all at once.
They may have to deliver to homes from full-pack issues, or turn them into buzzards that circle overhead, waiting, waiting…
If I remember, Stoot mentioned that we'll have 1 location that we can teleport to from anywhere. Making it a short custom list would be nice. If I were cooking something, I'd want the cooking vendor, uncle friendly's, flipside, my house, maybe a friend's house if we were pooling resources.
Naming/saving custom lists would be cool, too. I'd have one for making spices, milking butterflies, nibbling pigs, friend's houses (tho that could be a menu choice from the friend list),...
