I know this has been said before. And I know the general response is that Glitch is supposed to be a big, open-ended, build-your-own game sort of thing. But lots of people, myself included, just don't enjoy that sort of thing. For us, it doesn't feel free so much as it feels aimless. We like direction. We like feeling like we're participating in a larger scheme. We like being rewarded for furthering a story. In short, we like quests!
But here I am, at only level 12, and I routinely have nothing to guide my Glitch experience. My new skills are now measured in hours or days, so new quests are quite infrequent. And even those precious quests rarely take more than a few minutes to complete. I love Glitch in general. The setting is lovely. The humor and wit are superb. And the gameplay is very engaging. When there is any. But I need far more play in my game!
So my sincere and passionate request to the Giants is to give us more quests. And not just a few more quests, but a veritable ocean of them. My challenge shouldn't ever be finding a quest, it should be deciding which sounds most interesting among the many I have available. I'd love to have at least 5-10 possibilities on average at any given point in time.
(And achievements are nice, but they're not quests. If I set out to get one achievement in particular, gameplay for me becomes long and tedious.)
The simple truth is that I am now bored with Glitch. Quests would make the bored go away. Please, please make the bored go away! I quite like it here and I'd love to have reasons to stay. :)
