What is your bag setup?

Mine is:

1) Elemental pouch

2) Cubimal Case

3)
Temp bag (nevermind how it sounds, it's where the focusing orb and the pig is bait fixed, everything else that falls there is moved to other bags when it gets filled) This is the bag I keep opened at all times.

4 to 7) Goods Fruit, meat, chunks, gas, beans, planks, milk, grain, peat, etc... Everything the land gives me.

8) Ingredients, seeds and seasoned beans

9) Drinks and Food

10) Shiny stones
. Bling Bling $$$.

11 & 12) Musicblocks. Yup, I'm a CCS (Compulsive Chicken Squeezer) so i get lots.

13) Emblems. So i can keep track of the number of emblems left for that icon.

14) General Tools

15) Kitchen tools
and the ones that make ingredients (miller, exchanger, tuner, gassifier).

16) Spice rack

Anything i cant sort gets a spot on the temp bag, until i drop it at my house or gets used/donated/sold. Whenever the 4 goods/Shiny stones/musicblocks bags gets filled, I pay a visit to a shrine or the tool vendor.

I'm curious to know how you manage your stuff, so maybe I can improve myself and all that... so, Glitches, what is your setup?

    Shoulda' added that little bit.

  • Previously, my set-up was:
    1. Toolbox 1 full of items that have a visible usage bar, including tinkertool.
    2. Toolbox 2 full of everything else, so usually all the cooking tools.
    3. Partially full bag where I tend to keep my meals.
    4. Partially full bag of non-food harvestable items like bubbles, gas, wood, etc.
    5. Empty bag.
    6. Empty bag.

    9. Empty bag.
    10. Ingredient bag 1, starting with convertible fruits in alphabetical order leading into crops.
    11. Ingredient bag 2, continuing crops and leading into items bought from the grocery vendor.
    12. Ingredient bag 3, continuing grocery vendor into various sauces.
    13. Ingredient bag holding harvestable food items like meat, milk, wheat, etc.
    14. Spice Rack.
    15. Focusing Orb.
    16. Bag of musicblocks, keys and one EHSP.

I have since replaced 10-12 with element bags, as I've been doing a lot of ingot mining. :3

  • My general set up is:

    1. Toolbox (Kitchen stuff)
    2. Toolbox (Miscellaneous tools)
    3. Bag 1 (these 5 bags are for random stuff to go into until I can sort them later)
    4. Bag 2
    5. Bag 3
    6. Bag 4
    7. Bag 5
    8. Ore/Gem bag
    9. Drinks bag
    10. Cooked foods bag
    11. Raw foods bag 1
    12. Raw foods bag 2
    13. Spice Rack
    14. Alchemistry rack
    15. Elemental pouch
    16. Greeter badge bag

All my bags are bigger bags. I've got lots of other bags I keep in my house, should I wish to go on specific runs for stuff. Bags just for ore and tree produce etc. I swap them out when I wish to do such a thing.

  • Oh, of storage and organization, I sing a song to thee:

On my person:1-9. Miscellaneous stuff.  1 & 9 are gray bags to delineate this "workspace", all the rest in between are green.
    10. Stuff to sell/donate.  If this overflows I start working my way back from bag 9, filling from right to left.
    11. Spice rack (delineates the start of more permanent fixtures)
    12. Pink bag:  meals
    13. Blue bag:  Drinks and powders.  Usually the only drinks I carry are earthshakers and bubble teas.  My focusing orb lives here too for easy access.
    14. Green toolbox:  Tools without usage bars
    15. Red toolbox: Tools with usage bars.
(Depending on my plans for the game day I fill any empty spots with Random Kindnesses or Firefly Jars)
    16. Miscellaneous:  a few TP scripts, my Senor Pickle, various seasoned beans, spinach, candy, planks, paper

I have LOTS of other bags that sit around my house.

At one point I realized I had a LOT of milk and meat so I started filling bags with it that I could switch out with various of my green bags and take to donate to shrines.  These are green so that when they're empty they'll fit right in those slots.

I have several pink bags full of food ready to go.  I often end up grabbing a couple of these to use for donating as the higher end meals can bring good chunks of favor.

In the cabinet at my house:
    several bags for emblems
    two bags marked "firebog stuffs"
one bag of various kinds of blocks and bricks
    GNG musicblock
    12 sided die
silver toolbox full of empty firefly jars that I grab when I go collecting in the bogs
    bags of full firefly jars
    bag of herb seeds
    Glitch game
a bag marked 'CANDYGLITCH' that just has a bunch of candy in it
    bags of plain ingots
    bags of rubbed ingots
    bag of keys
bag for Bit of Ur zines (I'm a collector)
Small shiny object with no intrinsic value

I keep a bag of crop seeds next to the plots in my 50K Salatu home (KHOUL BHEENS DUDE) that I switch out for when I'm just planting.

The top floor has various drinks and powders strewn across it.

The second floor has various ingredients grouped by type strewn across it (with the caveat that anything I harvest from my garden all goes in one big pile, otherwise I was running out of space).  Under the trophy case are more sundry goods:  gas, bubbles, planks, paper, and the pink go-bags of meals.

The bottom floor (outside) has my machines off to the right.  Also there is a "tree doctoring" bag there with tree poison and antidote that I use daily to work toward the related badges.

Strewn across under the eaves are the less edible things:  I have a bunch of gray bags that each contain a Fancy Pick and a stack of Earthshakers.  They are parked with various alchemical goodies: my Grand ol' Grinder, two stacks of Flaming Humbabas, 6 elemental pouches (I hate losing red elements, heh), my smelter, etc.  These are next to piles of beryl, dullite, sparkly, and metal chunks.  I only do the alchemical stuff at home.  When I need to do a mining day I change out all my green miscellaneous collecting bags to the gray ones.
To the left of these are piles of earth, loam, and peat, and stacks of bundled grain.

Finally, right by the door I have about 100 Random Kindnesses, and I try to pick a couple up whenever I leave the house.

My Glitch may have a problem with hoarding.

But you didn't hear it from me.

  • 1. Green Toolbox: tools with a usage bar, sorted by category (first gardening, then mining and refining, at last tinkertools)
    2. Red Toolbox: tools without a usage bar (mainly cooking stuff)
    3. Spice Rack
    4. Elemental Pouch
    5. Alchemistry Kit

    6-16 All bigger bags

    6. Green: Food
    7. Green: Drinks
    8. Brown: Various stuff (emblems, notes, papers, TP scripts, my pickle, powders)
    9. Blue: Ingredients 1 (partial stacks)
    10. Blue: Ingredients 2 (full stacks)
    11. Green: Mining 1
    12. Green: Mining 2
    13. Green: Mining 3
    14. Green: Mining 4
    15. Blue: Donations
    16. Pink: Groceries (olive oil, beer, hooch and so on, always fully stocked)

I don't use black bags in my inventory, they are reserved for my produce at home. I tend to move full stacks from ingredients 1 to ingredients 2.

  • 1st and 2nd slot -  big bags with food, drink - stinky cheese, earth shakers , cosmapolitans, random food stuff I've made doing cooking quests ,eggs, spinach, 2 spare fancy picks and my 3 emo bears.
3rd is a fancy pick, so I notice when it's running low and it's time to do repairing.
4th - 11th = 8 big bags - They're for filling up with stuff to sell - rocks, animal stuff, harvested things etc. I don't put anything I want to keep in those, as anything in them is for selling.
12th - stack of earthshakers - easy access
13th and 14th - 2 big bags - 13th - overflow sales stuff, for when I'm getting full, but still want to harvest or mine more before hitting up the tool vendor. 14th - for anything interesting I find in my travels that I don't want to sell and want to dump in house - emblems, swf's things like that.
15th - Big bag with - Very Very Stinky cheese - best item ever. So versatile, can die with it, live with it. Energy, mood... whatever. a stack of no-no, and a few random kindness to bestow on fellow miners.Slot 16 - Big bag full of tools.

  • Interesting that I keep all my tools at the end of my line.  It never even occurred to me to put them up front.

    1. Catch-all: Stuff I pick up to be sorted later.
    2. Donations: Music blocks, random food, SWF blocks either to be donated to a shrine, dropped in hidey holes, or given to unsuspecting sleepers
    3. Stuff: Orb, random kindnesses, powders, teleportation scripts, dice, pig bait, etc.
    4. Other useful stuff: dirt, loam, jellisac, barnicles, spinach -- generally blockmaking stuff.
    5. Rocks
    6. Beans
    7. Foodstuffs: only the things I actually use -- wheat and milk
    8. MEAT
    9. MEAT
10: Food: Stacks and stacks of Awesome Stews. Also, cheese for dropping
    11. Treasures: GNG, Faded Heart, Funpickle, Emo Bear, keys, emblems
    12. Tools: everything except kitchen stuff
    13. Cooking: kitchen stuff, seasoners, bubble tuner, gassifier
    14. Elemental Pouch
    15. Alchemistry Kit
    16. Spice Rack

I frequently swap out the bags depending on what I'm doing: farming, meat collecting, tree harvesting, mining, or whatever.  Right now I'm collecting meat for Sammiches for selling to Tool Vendors.  I'm not sure why.  It's not like I need the currants, but I'm out of quests.

3-10 My Harvesting/Mining/Bonus/Gem/Nibbling/Milking/Squeezing/And any other thing Bag
    11. Crafted Drinks
    12-13. Crafted Food
    14. Empty for picking up dropped bags for my friend who is new to the game.
    15. Cubimal Case (All 16 rare cubimals)
    16. Elemental Pouch

Sometimes I might have one less bag as my screen is to small for all of them and squashes them making everything hard to read. I don't try to make them in this order it just happens without thinking.

Mostly when I mine (which is hardly ever now) I don't start with anything in my bag besides food and tools. I mostly harvest trees now and keep my pigs and crop garden for money. It d very hard to keep bags organised when harvesting trees because of them different bonuses I get.
Posted 13 months ago by Paxton Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Doing this from memory, as I am offline at the moment.

    1. Default harvestables bag. Meat, milk, grain, beans, bubbles, eggs, etc. Emptied out prior to mining jaunts.
    2. Overflow bag. For harvestables and stuff animals and trees drop, or sparkly.
    3. Ditto.
    4. Less common harvestables like jellisacs, paper, wood, gas, and alchemical powders.
    5. Food
    6. Drinks
    7. Fruit / veg / garden harvestables (often emptied prior to mining)
    8. Sauces, jellies, etc. (often emptied prior to mining)
    9. Various ingredients (cheese, butter, beer, salmon, oats, etc.) (often emptied prior to mining)
    10. Spice box
    11. Kitchen / RK / etc. tools toolbox
    12. Mining / etc. tools toolbox
    13. Keys, emblems, notes to self
    14. Special items (bear, no-no, guano, dice, tickets, etc.)
    15. Cubimal case
    16. Elements case

There's also a Seeds bag I drop and pick up sitting next to my garden area.

NOTE: I carried around a note in my Keys / Emblems bag that I updated whenever I earned another emblem or iconified 11 emblems, and I still managed to mis-count and wind up (temporarily) with a couple of extra emblems for a while. Derp.

I haven't gotten out of the habit of carrying ALL THE STUFF around yet, so I am not the most efficient miner when I mine (could have more empty bags if I put my mind to it). I try to decide if I need to harvest edibles or rocks during a particular outing and then adjust my bags accordingly.

Will be changing my play style now that I set my mind to get it over with and have "grinded" via donation and collected ALL THE ICONS. Will now need to figure out how to generate currants for tithing. Probable method for currant-generation? Mining or auctioning food items.

10 - "Cash" Things for donation/sale I basically want to forget about until I'm out and about
    11- Elemental
    12- Alchemy
    13- "Ingredients" (for stew/tetrazini)
14- "ME" - Powders, orb, 4 food stacks, drinks: Gurly & 'Shaker, pig bait, RK, birch candy, buffy herbs
15 - "Tools": All tools with a health bar, plus TT, Beaker, Orb, Firefly jar, Cauldron, Tincturing kit (I keep 2 picks onhand)
16- "TOOLS": All crafty tools incl fruit/bubble changers/spice mill/etc.  Also seasoners.  I keep doubles of saucepan, awesome pot, frying pan (mainly for big crafting sessions and new street projects)

    Extra bags at home:
Tokens bag (all 11 emblems plus some EHSP for easy refueling)
Tetrazini, Awesome Stew bags - Full of crafted food ready to be swapped into active inventory
Grocery vendor - I stock everything from the grocery and produce vendors (except things I grow) in maximum stacks, its wasteful but I HATE those 'oh jeez I have to go back there just for this 1 stupid pot of honey' moments)
    SWF
    Cubimals
Gifts for fun and newbs (separate)
Party bag (things I like to give away / use like rainbow potions)

    5. Blurbenherbles: herbs and tinctures
    6. Blembles: emblems
7-16. Putzerwogs: collectables. When I mine, it's rocks. When I harvest, it's tree and animal goodies

At home, I have bags for crops, as well as Shiftywhifters, which are items I have made (EHSP, no-no powder, ingots, etc.).

  • I think my setup might be odd.  I make frequent trips back home, and I generally donate musicblocks and gems as soon as that bag fills up.  I sort the blank spots as they fill up, and this way I feel really organized.  Anyway, here goes:

    1-5:  Empty
6: Whatever bag I picked up at home that I forgot to set back down. Aargh. (usually Seeds.)
7: Gathering (all resources from the land that haven't "filled".  Partials of everything, except for meat.)
8: To Donate (musicblocks and gems.  I store my EHSP here too, or emblems as I get them before I put them in their cabinet back home.)
9: To Store (full slots of the resources I've gathered.)
10: To Sell (anything I know I won't be using or storing at home. Any extra crops.)
11:  Meat (I sell this when it's full.)
    12: Spice rack.
13: Supplies (Food and drink, pig bait, powders, tree antidote/poison, things that run out that I use.)
    14. Misc.  (Keys, RKs, teddy bear, ghost heart, game tickets, essences I might use.)
    15. Tools
    16.  Kitchen/Misc. Tools (cooking, orb, tinkertool, firefly jars, quill, tincture set, cauldron)

  • Oh yeah.  Also my bags are color-coded to keep things easy for me, so:

Silver toolboxes for both sets of tools.

I drop everything at home before I head to the ancestral lands and they don't always go back in the same order.

I've named them all along themes of "I have too much crap" lol.

  • It depends on what I'm doing, but if it's storage, then I label the bag appropriately and toss it somewhere. If it's a commodity bag (like I'm cooking a giant pile of food), I label it by component and verify its contents to be accurate when I drop it. If it's a "live" bag that's currently seeing a lot of operations or has mixed contents, I mark it and try to do actions that'll clean it up.

  • Oh also when I drop bags I like to label them happy things like "You are special" and "You are loved, you matter" =)  Or sometimes just "Pressies 4u" etc.

  • I carry a green toolbox, three pinks, three greys, three browns, three blues, and three greens.
If I'm not mining, the left three (pink) are Sportage (random things, a couple of good Cubimals like a Rube, a Dustbunny, a Smuggler, and a Bureaucroc, my orb, an RK, quill and paper, and various other things), Victuals (food, primarily stew, chili and Lemburgers), and Libations (bubble-tea, Savory Smoothies, various drinks that drop or have been given to me, maybe some milk). The other ones are largely empty, and accrue whatever I happen to be picking up or harvesting.
If I'm mining, they're all empty except for the left, which holds four picks, two tinkertools, my focusing orb, four or so stacks of stew, some Savory Smoothies, and maybe a RK. I don't carry my toolbox to make room for rock (like I've told people, I hate to mine generally, but if I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it all at once). The reason I have all the colors arrayed in my pack is similar to the idea of the old striped candles people used to use to tell time, only I use them to take some of the monotony out of mining and gauge how far I have to go till my run's over at a glance ("I'm on my third brown- only three greens to go").
I also keep loads of bags in my house that I organize by load- some hooch-only bags, potato-only bags, herb bags, seed bags, guano bags, etc. These generally come from my inventory after I've rearranged everything to fill one with one thing- when it's filled, I drop it wherever I've established a place for that particular resource, then buy another of the same color to refill the spot.

    5. food 3
    6. kitchen toolbox (though about half of it is general tools overflow)
    7. general toolbox
    8. basic emblem set + misc. non-food items
    9-10. misc. non-food items
    11-12. elemental pouches
    13. alchemestry kit
    14. spice rack
15-16. not really devoted to anything yet

The bags I keep in my house (and switch in and out of slots 1/15/16) are mining crap, seeds, herbs, cherries, awesome stew bag. (Plus a few other bags with stuff like music boxes that never leave the house.) I really need to do a big reorg though, all my usual bags are always full with stuff I rarely need at the moment.
