Only 7 devs in game right now (my gauge for new stuff release potential)...sigh...but it is only the end of lunch hour right now for them...so...
And I'm with you...a status update on when it might be would be nice, if it doesn't happen tonight...there were so many devs in game late on Friday, I really thought we might have an uncharacteristic weekend release...alas...I was wrong...sigh...
..omg..it's so exciting....I'm in the UK but always manage to catch the upgrades as the occur (normally around this time of night/early morning) due to my crap sleeping at the moment...come on upgrade, imagination, the whole sherbang!!! :D :D :D
I'm so tired... would be taking a nap right now but Glitch is my caffeine :)
(Now watch me really fall asleep and then the update comes out 5 minutes later)
From my recollection (which isn't that great and I'm probably wrong), most major updates (i.e. sloths maybe, R2 for sure, maybe even R1(?)) have happened on Tuesdays.
I know this because Tuesdays are traditionally the day that I'm home from work early.
But I'm home early today so maybe it will happen tonight. Who knows?
While today or Tuesday would be ok, I really feel that the Dev's should post an update or even better an ETA since we should have had the Imagination update by now (as per what they have said)
LMAO...my gosh, I hope you're joking...but if not...at least we got an update...
ETA: And yes...that is way ahead of the '9 week expectation'...lol
(for those that don't get the reference...here's a status update from stoot about a week or so ago... stoot barfield in reply to Merth If you assume 9 more weeks, you'll be thrilled by how far ahead of schedule we appear to be.)
Curly: If he ever does come back, you call me and we'll finish the job. Walter: When I do get the permits, how long will the job take? Curly: Two weeks. Walter: Two weeks? Two weeks? Curly: You sound like a parakeet there. "Two weeks! Two weeks!" Walter: Well, two weeks. It- it's amazing.
@Lila: Yeah :/ I pretend I'm not excited, but then I F5 the general forum when I have an "itch" that there's an update. And I get a weird feeling in my tummy when I hear whispers that other think an update is coming. And I'm almost overwhelmingly depressed when I find out that there isn't an update coming. So I'm part of that group that I ridicule. *sobs*
@Crrrystal: *sobs and hugs you* I'm exactly the same way. I have weird feeling in my tummy like it's suddenly sinking, I get really anxious about it and I reoad, reload, reload the forum everytime when there is a new update comming. When I really like something I get like that too. I wish I could not care so much about it but I just do. *sobs* :( >_<
Maybe the 2 weeks is just for the housing reset, but other things will be released before then.
Also, maybe Stoot is high-balling the estimate so we'll all be pleasantly surprised when it's much earlier than that (I believe he made reference to the wisdom of doing this in another post...)
Oh I would like lots of notice and some description of what is going to happen where. Will my second story in my home collapse? What will happen to all the things in my extended yard? I have removed almost everything from my original home but I am still having semi panic attacks. So, even a week in advance, the ability to ask questions about the Big Move would be greatly appreciated!
Next big update should be imagination implementation first...then will come the great housing reset, so they have said. Unclear as to how much time between the two though...however, always up for 'mini-updates' while waiting on the big ones...
Stoot! One week is fine (I really want to hit 60)! But two weeks?! I'll be in London! I won't have time for all this fancy shmancy imagination! I suppose I'll just have to watch over Daffy's shoulder as she plays or something. So. Fine. Two weeks. ;)
I really wish my in-world house could become my test-world house. I really love the 50K mansions.
The reason I've considered dismantling my machines is that they are the only things that need to be dismantled before they can be stuck in bags or slots, and while I have some faith in TS it would not entirely shock me to find out that they had not anticipated that necessity.
I'm guessing that Stoot's "two weeks" is not necessarily exactly 14 days, to the minute, of when he posted that. It's probably two weeks, give or take a couple of days. I say, let's not sweat it. :)
Meh, they have to be dismantled to fit in bags or slots, but nothing about dismantling to fit in moving boxes. And of course, if Tiny Speck wanted assembled machines to fit in a slot, they probably could make that happen, temporarily or not, without too much trouble.
You may be right, of course. But generally, everyone I know has some machines somewhere on one of their pieces of property -- since Tiny Speck assured us they will handle the transfer, if they then failed to make machines transfer, they'd be swamped with bug reports. Player support would do next to nothing but verify and restore machines, over and over.
On the plus side, if you're right, and there are so many missing machines they just throw up their hands and give up, those with missing machines would probably get something like a dusty stick out of it. All in all, I don't see any reason to worry about my machines.
There's a bug right now involving fully-assembled machines in cabinets ... so it's possible that they are working on it.
Also I'm working on a pastiche. So far it goes like this:
Imagination will be coming when it comes (two weeks!)
Imagination will be coming when it comes (two weeks!)
We want all the bells and whistles
but they're working out the thistles
So imagination will be coming when it comes (two weeks!)
It will be riding six white horses when it comes (yee-haw!)
Imagination will ride horses when it comes (yee-haw!)
I hear they're introducing ponies
For all the girls and bronies
Imagination will bring ponies when it comes (yee-haw! two weeks!)
And we'll all come out test it when it comes! (real soon!)
And we'll all come out test it when it comes! (real soon!)
We want to use imagination
In our character's creation
Oh we'll all come out to test it when it comes (real soon! yee haw! two weeks!)
Scarlett- the machines in inventory bug was fixed. (Players with them in inventory should open a case for us to squish those.) But, machine or not, we'll be moving stuff over into new houses, that's not going to change.
