Show total energy gains for food even when energy is too high to get all of it.

When one makes new food and have too much energy to get the full amount if consumed right away, the food details only show how much energy it gives if one eats it now. For example, I just made my first Obvious Panini, and it's telling me I'd only get 19 energy from it. I know (now, after making lots of different foods when having nearly-full energy) that it's worth more, but there's no way of telling what it's worth until you need it or checking the spoilerpedia.

This is kind of counter-intuitive and can be misleading for newbies. IMO, it's pretty clear that when my energy meter is full I can't get any more. Having the total energy "value" displayed is much more useful and easier to understand. If you need to show what one would get if the food was consumed now, then something like "19 (up to 61)" might work.

I assume the same works for mood-related consumables, but I have less experience with them.

Sorry if this is a dupe, but I couldn't find anything relevant.

Having lots of fun with Glitch. Good luck with the project.

  • I agree. Using your example, if I were to read that it gave me 19 energy, I would be inclined to think 'That gets me to max, I'll go ahead and eat it' but if I knew it could potentially give me three times that amount, I would be more inclined to save it for when I'm even lower on energy.

  • I agree! :) as it is, it makes for some confusion unless you know the food well.
