Dancing glitches

Ok... just had this idea minutes ago. What if there were action blocks (collectible items like the cubimals) that when activated makes a Glitch perform an action (like waving of arms, stomping of feet, nodding of head, swaying of hips, etc). These items go into a special 16-slot bag that has the special verb "dance" (or "animate")  which makes your glitch perform all the actions contained in the bag in sequential order. So in essence, it looks like your glitch is dancing. Still a crude idea though, but I hope you get the point.

  • great idea!
but maybe you don't know what it is until you open it like a jack in the box surprise... some kind of emoticon engine that has one open spot and what you put in it determines what action you do so there is experimentation and always new items to try with it.

  • I just do the rapid-back-and-forth, Charlie-Brown-Christmas-style dance currently- this'd be a lot more interesting.

  • Action blocks piffle! Glitch has always struck me as ravealicious -- maybe it's the nono powder, and I think Glitches should learn to DANCE! Set any musicblock to LOOP, trade energy for mood, and let the good times roll! Perhaps at level 2 others' mood is also raised! ...actually your ideas are good too!

  • I tend to agree with any suggestion that can add more actions to my glitch. Yes, having a looping musicblock which makes a glitch dance does sound like fun.

  • Having more actions would be cool...however check out this article Operating Screaming Pixels. I believe it would be quite difficult to add even more for our characters to do :) (though I'm sure the devs could find a way to pull it off if they really wanted to)

  • Something about the right-left-right Glitchy dance (so perfectly described by Djabriil), has somehow utterly charmed me.  I think it has a real existential flair, not something you usually associate with dancing, but doing it always makes me think "Look at me. I'm a Glitch. I am dancing."

  • @Nanookie- that's a great way to describe it :) It's less of a dance and more of an expression of being (as pretentious as that might sound).

  • *stands in pretentious solidarity with Djabriil*

  • Yeah, I do hope they find more ways to optimize the animations without causing too much lag. I remember vaguely that we had the ability to cry and wave, but these were probably removed for the sake of a less laggy gameplay. Probably having a "dance" or "disco" street level where we can exclusively use the additional animations?
