WASD vs Arrows, It's on now!

Two ways to experience glitch, which shall be the superior option?

Sadly I can't add a poll but say what's your choice, and their advantages/disadvantages!

In my case it has been wasd since the beginning, so not sure if the arrows are worse, equal or better.
I have somehow long fingers so I have my right hand pinky over the enter key, that way I can for example reach the N key to nibble pigs with my right index.

Oh and right hand for mouse although I don't use it much, I hate not being able to play songs to the crab through the keyboard.

  • I use the arrow keys along with the enter key - I'm not a typist and the arrow keys are easy for me to find without having to constantly do the hunt and search dance :D

So...My right hand controls the arrows (right pointer finger works the left arrow, right ring finger works the right arrow and the middle finger controls the up/down arrows) while my left hand is for jumping and "accept" (little finger on the space bar and pointer finger on the enter key)

Sounds weird but I have to hold my keyboard in my lap because my monitor and tower sit on an end table on the right side of the couch so I hold the keyboard at an angle, anyway, and it's very comfortable and easy to use this way for me :)

  • I've played other MMOs with WASD movement and first person games as well, so WASD works best for me, though sometimes, if I'm just moving tree to tree or pig to pig, I'll use the mouse.

  • WASD with left hand, left hand thumb on the Space bar, and right hand for Enter. If I'm sorting my inventory or crafting I use the mouse, as it's either cumbersome or can't be done at all without it.

  • For the most part, I've been using JoyToKey to map the Glitch controls to my USB game controller. It doesn't make me any better at hopping around and winning races (because I naturally suck at console style games), but it's fun! It's nice to kick back in my chair and put my feet up if all I'm going to do is mine for the evening.

On the occasions that I do use the keyboard, though, I tend to gravitate toward WASD. I'm also a compulsive clicker. I realize that the enter key is there, and I do my best to remember to use it, but when I'm not actively fussing over it, I go right back to clicking. It works out for me, more or less; one hand at the WASD end of the keyboard, and one hand on the mouse.

  • I'm on a laptop, so it's right hand on arrows, left on trackpad. Easy as pie.

  • I'm a career touch-typist who has never played many PC games, so it's arrows all the way for me.  WASD admittedly confuses the hell out of me, although my CoH-addicted daughter finds it easy and natural.  I think it's a question of whether you're used to playing a lot of MMOs/PC games or not :)

(I'm making myself sound antiquated, and I'm not -- but I have disability-related hand issues that make most fast-moving games inaccessible to me.  Glitch is perfect, because you can't DIE BY FALLING . . . you have no idea what glee that inspires in someone who has no twitch-reflex response!)
