Let's sit around the fire and chat.

While the game's down for maintenance, how about a chat?

I took a hiatus of a few months because I got bored with the game. Playing with my house has gotten my interest a little, but since I'm currently brooooke and can't afford to subscribe (which means no credits), the real fun of decorating will have to wait til I get a new job. So, let me learn from y'all! What's your favorite thing about the game? How about your favorite new thing since the housing update? What do you spend your glitchy day doing?

  • I like following the garden/herb resource routes. Some Glitchen just pick and run so I get the +10 imagination points for each plot I clean up after them. :D

I've also had a lot of fun just travelling the streets of Ur and petting/nibbling every piggy I come across. Between the 48 img points I get per pig and the large donations I dump off at the shrines, I've been able to buy a lot of expensive upgrade cards.

  • Oooh, there are garden routes? I accidentally put a couple of gardens outside, so someone may as well use them. How do I get added to one of those?

  • Here's an Herb group and a Crop group. Both of them require a minimum of 8 free garden plots. Just post in their threads, change your sign post, and you'll be added.

I'm focusing on my house, and going around and taking pictures. That's going to take a while. After that, I don't know what I'll do, but I'm sure I'll keep playing now that the mechanics encourage you to spend time in Ur--I too stopped playing the game for almost a year. I became bored with it because the most "powerful" players were simply the ones who've played the longest, and the mechanics didn't give enough incentive to play the game when you could've made progress not playing it, anyway.

  • They're fun, Shiromisa. :) I like the routes in general because it encourages me to explore other people's streets and there's opportunities to do restore projects, which have some nice bonuses. Plus, it's handy for when you really need that thing you need, but don't want to walk halfway across Ur to find it. The master list for all of them is here: www.glitch.com/groups/RHVP8...

  • Thank you both! :D I'll get on that when the game's alive again.

  • I'm loving the routes and visiting other home streets. I like to be able to leave little notes and gifts, and I like to contribute toward restoration projects. If you're opening your home street up by joining a resource route and you're planning to remove something once it's depleted, please leave a note in front of it advising of that so there's no unwanted do-gooding!

  • You really do like to leave notes and gifts, Payday!  Thank you!!

I have been putting my house and gardens together and then building things.  I started finally spending a few more credits of decor but now I'm pretty happy with it so, I don't know what to do next.

I  love making sure my piggies get fed and pet so I check in often enough to keep them happy.

I've also been paying a bit more attention than usual to what other players are saying.

Oh, and enjoying the snaps players post.  That is quite fun.
