SOMEONE had to ask: Any idea when the game is opening today?
I know, I know, it opens when it opens, and that's usually no earlier than 2PM PT. But I'm excited to start learning Better Learning III, and so any official information, unreliable hearsay, and/or wild speculation would be much appreciated.
Educated guess but still a guess and really not actually helpful: In past experience, tests have (in general) started between noon and 3pm... sometimes stretching a bit later. There was a period where it seemed to started after TS got back from lunch (between 1 and 2pm) but then that seemed to slip later.
Take one Rook feather and burn it to ashes. Mix with water to form a thin soup and use to fertilize your garden. Consecrate 1 serving of the alcohol of your choice to the god of your choice, and then perform the ritual Tapping of The F5 exactly 5000 times. The game will then open and there will be fanfares.
It's been awhile, but the game has opened in the morning before. The earliest I could conceive of this happening is 9 AM Pacific time, which is in 13 minutes...
All my rook feathers are in my house in Chakra Phool (obviously I can't get to them right now) and there aren't any for sale in the auctions. Is there another spell?
Last week it was a few hours (which turned into a day) later than anticipated, and everyone was sorta flipping out on the forums. So I'm betting there won't be an official time announced this week.
My guess is they are shooting for noon PST, but that is dependent upon the success of some magical computery compiling/testing/debugging situations. But, since I am on the east coast, I am also still optimistically hoping for an early start.
is this possibly the last time that the game will be closed?
Perhaps we should take the opportunity to really enjoy the closed sign in all its glory.
And the good things it allows us to achieve. Like eating, sleeping, counting children to make sure none have wandered away...
I'm just excited that it's opening. I have a giant sinus infection and the traditional pre opening nonsense will entertain me until whenever we can get in and play.
I'm hoping it gets delayed to Tuesday again so all the Mining 4's and Better Learning 5's can finish. I can't remember a test starting before 10am (45 minutes from now), possibly even 11.
@Feylin I'm just glad we could all keep each other company here. Self-interest intersecting seamlessly with cooperation and mutual benefit. That's Glitch in a nutshell, right? :D
In Faunasphere the Devs always said "Soon" it got to be a joke, albeight frustrating at times, to guess what "Soon" meant.
Decided FS based time on Pluto, where every 'day' is actually 6.49 earth days... LOL
I live on west coast and am just as impatient... of course night worker, so kept checking starting at midnight... hoping, hoping, hoping..... AAARRRGGHHH
:)
We used to joke about "Stoot Time" which has no relation to real world time. They're always on time in Stoot Time. The last test didn't start until Tuesday, but it met their Monday target in Stoot Time.
So. We all can say that this game already became a part of our life. I don't mean addiction or something like this. Glitch made me a little bit kinder in real life. Really, kinder. Glitch is a great game full of peace and kindness. So, even if I am unreally tired and have a bad mood...this game can do the Thing. It can make you happier :)
Hmm.. Please forgive me if I cause any offense - I am on the train, bored and mildly snarky, but - if "shoon" is the FS word for sometime in the indeterminate future, then will you guys finally be done mourning the old game and repeating its in-jokes ... (hmm, about 6 months, factor for Stoot Time, carry the q...) uh... shoon? ;D
*ducks to avoid the barrage of spare piggy and chick cubimals that has undoubtedly already been amassed*
No prob, B.Kind. Where Glitch is concerned, I try to live by the motto "Life's too short to surround myself with mean people." I love the idea that habits of kindness from the game can start to affect how we approach our day-to-day lives. I'm aggressively protective of my Glitch experience in order to keep that potential alive.
I happened to wake up with a case of the sinus crud, so I'm home this morning rather than at my usual Monday morning obligation. So of course I'm hanging out on the Glitch home page waiting for that sign to go away... even though I follow @isglitchopen on twitter, AND follow them and @playglitch via SMS. I really need to just get on with whatever other tasks I have the energy to do this morning. (Which is practically none of them, but, hey.) Convenient to come down sick when I'm 1) no longer traveling, 2) not quite yet anticipating our out-of-town guest's arrival, and 3) expecting Glitch to open ANY MOMENT NOW!
