Emblems or reduced learning times

I've collected and spent all my first emblems so now I only donate to shrines to save time on learning (& the xp is a nice bonus), so while waiting for one skill to finish I donated to a couple of shrines so I'd have favour for the next skill and then got a favour quoin that sent me over 1000 favour points in one shrine (zille I think).  I checked the shrine and the 'check favour' option has gone and only collect emblem is there.  Is that correct, as I'd much rather spend those points on learning that get another emblem?  It does seem a bit unfair that you donate and then don't get the benefit...

  • you do get the benefit... you collect the emblem.  If you want to spend favour, you have to not go over the 1000 points

  • My greatest mistakes in this game all have to do with being unobservant.  I am also now currying Favor for faster learning.  I am trying to keep my eye on the shrines so that I get maximum advantage without going up to the limit though it is nice to have the Emblems.

  • I guess you do get a benefit, but a second or third emblem for one giant, I would say, is a far lower benefit than the reduced learning time you get from 1000 favour points.  It's tough to know how many favour points each donation gives you too - so it's very easy to accidentally go over the 1000 mark without meaning to.  Maybe if there was a warning 'are you sure you want to donate as these points will go towards an emblem not faster learning'... but maybe that's just me ;-)

  • I think that is a good idea Nao - put it in the ideas forum:)

  • How about making emblems donateable, but only at the shrine of their respective giant, at which point they convert back into favour points -- or immediately get applied to the current skill?

  • Lesse... that's 6 bigger bags of Emblems plus a few on the floor... so let's say 100 for a nice round number... add the 11 I spent to unlock skills and the 10 I gave away puts me 30 away from:

Working from the 100... that's 3600 xp, 2000 energy, and not sure how much mood... every day for clicking through them. Put that in context.... there's 70k between Level 47 and Level 48: if I did nothing more than love on my emblem collection, I'd need 20 Glitch Days or 5 RL days, not a bad return for keeping stuff sitting around the house.

Great if you've got the room and patience. I keep a notepad doc up in the background and check my favor often. I keep lots of ingots, gems, and music on me so I can carefully 'even' out the numbers to 999 if I want to advance learning or 1000 if I've run out of skills to reduce (and I have). I try to leave my progress towards an emblem as close to 0 as possible.

While you are still getting the hang of things, try and keep focus on reducing your learning. Swap out skills (pause the first, apply the reduction to a second, then resume learning the first) if you need to. Don't stress it if you accidentally earn an emblem, but do remember to go pick it up as fast as possible - no more favor goes to that Giant until you do.

  • Duplicate emblems are supposed to be of greater use someday.  I've been getting emblems lately from hitting a new level.
