Removing the GPS instructions after you've arrived at your destination

I know it's a small thing, but perhaps after saying, "Firabiz Flaunts - you've arrived!", perhaps the little box could disappear and the GPS go? I keep having a momentary confusion when I forget that I've been to the last destination and haven't set a new one.

  • Can't you just get into the habit of closing the navigation box when you arrive?

  • I've always felt that the nav instructions should automatically clear themselves after arriving at your destination, too. Since I'm mostly a keyboard player, it's just one more annoying thing to have to reach for the mouse to click on and clear.

  • Agreed.

  • I wouldn't want it to disappear automatically. It is one thing that can help me remember what I am doing while playing the game.

  • +1 to Honoo Flammen. I use the keyboard exclusively...and it's annoying to have to use a mouse to remove the alert.

  • players should be able to set in options whether they want to automatically dissappear or not. that way all players should be happy!

  • Great idea, never thought about it.

  • +1, but maybe have it as a setting you can select so that people like jumpuphigh can keep the destination around.

  • +1 I would be delighted to see it disappear after it says "you've arrived"

  • +1 to it disappearing after the "You've arrived" message. It is kind of annoying to arrive, take care of whatever you were going there is the first place for, and then have it give you the "You're off the path" message when you leave for somewhere else, or have it try and keep directing you back until you set a new destination/close it.

  • I Agree too, it doesn't bother me, but it really confused my sister last night as I was teaching her some navigation skills on the train..It threw her into confusing when she saw whilst on the train the message said, your off the path..I know most of us know that this means we are out of reach of that place,  but for new people it is confusing.

  • If this happened to me, I would assume that I closed it accidentally and search the map for where I was going, ignoring the street I was on because I assumed I wasn't there yet, and five wasted minutes later figure out what a moron I was.  Not saying it's not a good idea, just not for everyone.

  • +1 In real life, GPS directions go away after you've arrived too :)

  • echan star +1. Definitely not for me. I like it as a reminder, and use it pretty effectively to organize my playing —I wouldn't grumble if another option was presented but I'd be really pissed if "gps goes away upon arrival" was the only one.

  • +1 to that less mouse interaction and more keyboard interaction.

Of course before closing a message should pop or something just to notify you that you have arrive.

  • +1.  Good idea. I 'm tired of closing the little directions window or getting "off the path" reminders once I'm past my destination.
