Edit : Might as well just tell those who don't know now, as it won't work anymore :D
Noodles use to take 2 rice, which could be bought from vendors for 2c a pop. After making the noodles, they could be resold for a 1c profit (infinite monies, almost). The thing was that it wasn't really done for a profit, but rather really, really cheap food, or towards the achievement(s). But noodles weren't worth almost anything as food for energy? Well, that's where fried noodles came in. Fried noodles took 1 reg noodles and 1 olive oil (another cheap vendor item), which these gave a substantial amount of energy for cost and work put into making.
It was a very awesome niche food plan if you were low on currants. This is why it was fixed :D it was too easy. (at least what I noticed about them)
There are too many cheese, milk, and butter recipes early in the game when you only get one milk for butterflies. This was a decent recipe to get around the milk issue. I really would have preferred they fix the price of rice.
WAAAAAY too many recipes early on in game that require butterfly milk and/or cheese, especially since Butterflies only give 1 milk per round unless you are Animal Kinship trained. Combine this with the fact that most small stacks of cheese or butterfly milk are going for near 1000 currants on the auction house, and it renders a large number of recipes useless.
+1 to too many recipes requiring butterfly milk early in the game. I'm ok now I've skilled up but I found this really frustrating when I started, especially since there was a dearth of butterflies. It nearly put me off the game before I really got going!
