Subscriptions.

It is very likely that I will subscribe once this trial month is over for me, but I kind of wish that they would make a few changes to the subscriber program.  For one thing, I think that it might help things to offer something between just a monthly and an annual rate.  I personally suggest some kind of six-month package.

Also, changing outfits is a nice upgrade, but I'd also like to see some other benefits.
Above all, I would like more inventory or storage slots.  I have bought plenty of bags, and I still find myself stocked to the max at times.  A way to expand garden plots or add tree plots in your home could be another incentive.
Having access to special items in your house that non-subscribers could have would also be nice.  These items could be both aesthetic (like some kind of sculpture or painting on the wall to signify your contribution to the site) or functional (like a beehive that creates honey at home [see: www.glitch.com/forum/ideas/...].)

What else would really excite ya'll about becoming subscribers?
I love Glitch and I want to give it my money so that it can succeed, but I also want to see some upgrades.

  • I'm sure someone will come up with the exact quote at some point, but TS has stated several times that they don't want to give subscribers an in-game advantage over non-subscribers, so functional sub-only items are pretty unlikely. I think that decorations and such for our houses will probably be an option eventually though.

  • I suppose you're right.  What if we could get some kind of special gnome or gnome-equivalent?

  • Yeah, I think things like that are probably in the works, since they're more along the line of clothes and hair options. But certain sub levels come with a stipend of credits and a certain number of teleportation tokens, which you'd otherwise need to pay money for, so that's a nice advantage and why I'm currently considering a sub.

  • I really appreciate the principle followed by TS that subscriber features are cosmetic and do not affect gameplay. So many other freemium games will get you stuck at certain level if you do not pay real money or recruit new players.

Decorations for your home are supposedly coming and other such things would be great. But IMHO things like inventory size which influences how easy it is to play should be the same for everyone.

(teleportation tokens also makes playing easier but at least skills provide similar options for non-subscribers)
