A while ago, I hid a treasure on the head of the dragon. (If you don't know where it is or how to get there, I'm not going to spoil it.) I left clues all about and many many folks found it. (I am sure most found it without the clues and just found the spot on there own.) I also left one drink on the dragon's "nose" just to be silly.
It was cool to come back to check on the treasure and see that folks had left stuff with the treasure. But even more fun was seeing many many drinks left on the nose.
But even cooler is going back there this test because a tradition had developed without any involvement from me. I have no idea how it started... but it is so awesome:
Leaving notes on the Dragon's Head with your wishes.
That is just cool. It has depth and feels... real. It has that sense of a culture being developed... for from outside (devs) or even by individual players. But a tradition that springs up from nothing. Like wishing on a shooting star or throwing a coin in a well. It is the kind of thing myths are born out of. Not a manufactured myth but an organic one.
In that little thing I see the potential for Glitch.
