New Auctions features in GlitchRemote!!

The idea behind GlitchRemote Auctions, is to have enough information to make decisions, like how much is selling an specific item, at which price an item is expiring, how much is the price of an item in an auction compared to the “normal” price.

GR servers uses different algorithms to calculate the “normal” price of each item/resource, it depends for example on how many items were sold in the last days, or how many people is trying to sell an item.

In each page you can see at the right of the screen a list of actual auctions filtered by the actual view. So if you are in the market view, you can see all auctions. In the category “Basic Resources” you can see only auctions of that category. And of course in an specific item view, only auctions of that item. The same in the player view.

Examples:
http://www.glitchremote.com/#AuctionsByMarket:
http://www.glitchremote.com/#AuctionsByItem:earthshaker
http://www.glitchremote.com/#AuctionsByCat:collectible
http://www.glitchremote.com/#AuctionsByPlayer:PA9P7M83LMD2FAO

The right panel, has two view options: “All Auctions” and “Best Deals”, the first one shows all auctions... and the second one, shows only items that you can buy, ordered by the amount of currants that you can win (because it compares each price with the “normal” price).
On each auction, at the right side of each one, there is a green panel (for auctions where you will win currants), or red panel (if the price is higher than the normal price). That price difference, is “by unit”.

Note: this panel updates automatically every 30 seconds, each auction that expired is marked with the gray color. and each auction that was sold or is not available any more, is marked with yellow color. And if more auctions can be shown, a button at the top will tell you how many new auctions are available.

I need to finish the page where you can create a new auction... I will update the post when is ready!!

Thanks!

I’m interested to know how do you decide what to sell... do you sell everything? if you have too much of an item? if the price is high? all feedback is welcome!

  • Looks great! One thing I was a bit confused at was using the search function. I tried clicking on search results that appeared but didn't realize I needed to press Enter on the keyboard, otherwise simply clicking didn't result in any actions. It might just be my browser though (Chrome 18).

  • @TomC: this is a bug. I'm working on it

  • I could waste a lot of time looking at this....

The count of units sold over the past week for general vapour is confusing.  Given that a stack is 250 units, it seems off somehow.

  • @WalruZ: it should say "number of auctions"

  • @TomC: bug fixed
now you can click a search result (or use Enter)

is it possible that a browser refresh (F5) is needed to get the latest version

    Thanks

  • Oh my lawdy, this is sooooooo much data to parse. I'm afraid to keep looking, I'll get sucked in! Fricken sweet.

  • now the graph title shows "Count auctions sold per day" (instead of "units")

  • I just solved a bug that showed "Fiber" item everywhere (in the front page), and now all pages should work faster (let me know if it doesn't)

    Thanks

  • The search function isn't working for me at all. I type a search term, hit enter, and nothing happens except whatever I typed disappears. I'm using Chrome 18.0.1025.165 on a Mac.

  • try writing something, but don't press enter. does it show the results?
(it starts searching at soon as you write 3 characters)

anyway it should work when pressing enter too, I will change that.

  • I see the immediate search results now. Maybe I was going too fast to for it to load before? I blame coffee.

  • I'm still a little confused by everything I'm seeing, but I think I'm learning....

  • I agree. I'm making some changes, each page has too much information showing at the same time.
I will update the post as soon as I have a new release.

    Thanks!
