Why did Tiny Speck have to make Glitch so addicting?
I didn't play Glitch all too often back during the school months, but since Christmas break started I've logged a few hours in everyday and bought a subscription. Why do they make it suck my life away? :(
Sorry - too busy harvesting cherries and beans right now, but I'll get back to you right after I've finished hammering a few rocks and collecting some quoins.....
already addictive so other than to support TS, why pay real money to subscribe - then you feel obligated to play so you're getting your moneys worth. Self fulfilling prophecy coupled with clear feedback loop...
well, Tiny Speck made a game. The idea, from a MMO game perspective is to get people playing. And keep them. Where Tiny Speck have succeeded, is in created a great, simple MMO that makes you wanna play it by making you ACTUALLY want to make you advance and make yourself better just by playing it. And that is by the constant harassment of the rock to give you quests. And then you look at them and say, "yeah, I can do that"
No complicated rpg system here.
THAT is why Glitch is addictive. Because it's not only an advancement of your character, but an advancement of yourself.
And Tiny Speck, you can quote me on that
And that's why it's addictive
The community plays a big part for me too. TBH, out of all the online games I've played (including many MMO/FPS/RTS games for PC/consoles) Glitch has one of the better communities. It's up there with Animal Crossing and Team Fortress 2.
