Question for subscribers: what was your credit balance when Housing 3 came out?

I have a copper subscription,  Up until two months before Housing 3 I had been using up the 150 credits on wardrobe items each month.   I saved the last months credits for use on housing so I had 300 to play with at the switch.   I might get a moly, might not.   I heard we will get some bonus credits when we relaunch.  I don't need an excess number of credits sitting around, just enough to play with when new things come out.

So out of curiosity....what did other subscribers have socked away?

  • The problem with upgrading to a moly (as I mentioned in the other thread about goals) is that it takes away from the process of budgeting and planning.    If I go buy everything I want in one go I'll not have anything to look forward to.

  • I had about 1400 credits before the new housing...now I have 1055 after just receiving my month's allotment.

  • that's an excellent way to look at it.  I had under 300 when the game went down, and as I planned to let decorating be a long term process much like you've mentioned, I actually intentionally went out of my way to buy an outfit while the game was down.

We've been told that when the game relaunches, any credits we have received as subscribers during the beta period will be doubled.  I'm not sure about independent credit purchases---and am concerned a bit, as many seem convinced those will be doubled as well but the original back to beta post only mentioned subscriber stipends.  /shrug

  • Its worth noting that all of the subscribers who were original beta testers (beta 1?) had their monthly allotment a few days ago.

MeherMan & Saucelah:  do you have a copper or a moly?   When did you start collecting credits? when did your subscription start?

  • Saucelah, we've been told that all credit purchases will be doubled when we come out of beta.  That is not limited to subscriptions.

  • It's been mentioned by staff that both subscriber stipends and individual purchases will be doubled. Stoot's post says:

"This will apply retroactively, all the way back to the end of the previous beta (so, if you've been a subscriber the whole time, the stipends you received this month and last month will also be doubled). Direct credit purchases (outside of subscriptions) will also be doubled."

I had about 1200 when the housing reset happened. I'd saved so that I could do enough decorating for it to feel like home (which I only just recently finished). After my stipends, I still have 610 left. Now I'm at a point where I'll just sit and stew on when/what/where I want to spend the other credits. I have a moly subscription.

  • Windborn and LMG:  thanks for clearing that up.

I suppose if I got a moly I could use the extra credits from relaunch to make upgraded furniture to either sell or give away to new players.

  • I had over 3000.
I'm down to 818... after getting my moly allowance a few days ago.
    Sigh.

  • I had about 1400 credit balance, not because I was saving up, but because I've got a copper sub and am just not much of a clothes horse. Now, after a recent stipend, I'm at 1075. Likely to use a goodly chunk of that on furnishings for Granny Weatherwax, though.

  • Started with 85 credits, spent 10, and now I'm down to 75. I think I'd rather save those credits for a new outfit than upgrade one or two pieces of furniture.

  • I had about 800 credits stored from subscription and have also bought the 500 credits a few times since then...possibly more than a few....I can't stop redecorating my home hahahahahaha

  • I had 1800 something, all gone within a few days, glad I have new ones :D

  • Ah, missed that line.  That's good though -- I was starting to anticipate a huge backlash for not doubling those purchases after launch.

Treesa, I've had both.  My income is spotty, so I tend to work off gift subs, as they don't auto-renew, and I pick up whichever one I can afford at the time.  I'm currently on a three month copper that was a gift from a friend, but after the first month passes, I'll probably upgrade the remaining two to moly.

  • I still have 1565 credits left, I have a Moly subscription. Bought quite a few high price subcriber only furniture, but I have only furnished the 3rd floor, as the other 2 floors are for storage and I didn't think it was worth using credits for that.

  • I had just over 2200 credits (Moly sub)  ^_^ I have 700 left now, and I'm still not done with my house xD I have given some upgraded funiture away to my a few of my friends though ;)

I have a copper subscription which started a year ago April, in the first Beta.

And I'm looking forward to the doubling of the credits I've bought during this 2nd Beta...

  • I've had over 700 when the reset happened. Now I am down to 70 with my new stipend already spent (moly subscription). Not worried on sitting on money eventually, since I assume new upgrades will be added all the time.

  • I had just over 2800 & have spent less than 200 on housing items so far. I'm waiting to see how many more options get released in the next few months before spending them all. (moly sub)

  • I have a moly sub and don't remember exactly what I had in credits at housing reset but currently have 3390. I did splurge on some furniture upgrades but not a lot and wear the same old outfit day after day. I'm also waiting to see what options the future brings.

  • Haha, I have a moly subscription, and have bought some pretty crazy outfits. When housing released I had around 1400? And now... I have... *cough*... 18.

  • I have questions about the credit-doubling- does it include credits we've spent? Also, does it include gift subs?
Posted 6 months ago by Fernstream Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Fernstream: As far as I'm aware, it includes all accrued credits, regardless of whether they been used or where they came from. :)

  • Had a few K at housing switch over (I'm being purposefully vague because I want to avoid any credit beggars out there, who will get blocked if they start bugging me).  I was intentionally saving up, and not spending too much on wardrobe items, since I prefer the housing design side of game play, and stoot mentioned early on that furniture upgrades would require credits.  Have a one year moly sub with an extra 2 month gift from a friend in game since mid-beta (the first one). Haven't spent as much as I expected, because I still hope to get additional furniture options that are more beachy, though some of the recent releases have piqued my interest and I'll probably get some of them once I expand my house a bit more.  I'm still not keen on spending too much yet because I am not sure which themes I really want for my house yet, and I still want to see what else they come out with (balconies, outdoor furniture options, curtains for windows, etc)...I kind of need to see it in my head before I commit to it, especially since it's real money I have to spend on designing.

  • I had around 5000, thanks to a Molybdenum subscription and a bunch of credit-doubled purchases from way back. Thanks to the stipend a few days ago, I'm still at around 5000, but I don't expect that to last.  I never really spent that much on my wardrobe, but I suspect I'll spend rather more on the house. So far, I've been too busy expanding the house to worry about decor and furniture too much, but I think it's now about time for a little interior decorating.

  • Fernstream, they will double any credits you buy or any credits that come to you via subscriptions.  It doesn't matter if it was a gift subscription.

  • I can't WAIT until it doubles, I am buying everything LOL
