Am I missing something here or can somebody explain to me the benefit of the Yellow crumb flower?
You "double" your learning speed for 1 minute. Which means, you get one minute for free.
One minute.
If I munch 10 Yellow flowers, I get 10 minutes free. They don't stack in larger groups than 9, and they are quite tedious to reproduce in quantities like, say 60. 60 Yellow crumb flowers would give you 1 hour free of learning. Provided that every minute of the game, 60 times, you remember to munch one (quite another tedious thing to do).
As far as I remember, the flower has a value of 60 currants. 60 flowers would be 3600 currants, let's round it: 400 favour points with a giant. Or, in other terms: Donating them to a shrine will roughly get you just the same amount of speed learning, than munching them. Plus some XP and the chance for a game show ticket, and so on.
Furthermore, by the time that you actually are at the stage of the game where you own your bog house, know herbalism and a few other skills that make planting herbs easier, you have probably reached the skills that say "2 days 23 hours" instead of "3 hours".
Honestly, with a skill that takes 1-4 days, I don't care if I learn one hour faster. Unless I am the type of player who tries to be super-super efficient. Which, frankly, does not seem the type of player for whom Glitch is programmed anyway.
So what's the deal?
Did I misunderstand something? Does anybody has any strategies to turn the Yellow Crumb flower to use?
