is the Egg Hunt done?

Just wondering. =) I'm not in game and can't pop in game since I dont have a computer handy at the grandparents home. Hopefully I'll be able to get those last two eggs before they go away if they haven't already!

  • The most fun I've had in-game in a long time. Thank you for a race-like, non-competitive, thrill ride that was open to everyone! Loved it.

  • Yes, that was some of the most fun I've had in Ur :) We can go on and on and on about how much fun emergent game-play is, but there's just something BETTER about doing something a talented development team put together for you as a player.

I look forward to similar events that are perhaps based more on in world lore, and less on real world occurrences ;)!

Thanks for all the hard work you guys have been putting in! Can't wait for all the new features :)

  • You can still probably buy the eggs in the auction house. Not that expensive.

    I apologize,

  • I would say it is a proof that (once this whole "release" thing is done) we need MORE of those specials which only last for a few days and make you see Glitch with completely new eyes, while making you do funny, stupid things (like squeezing chickens a gazillion times).

  • I enjoyed the egg hunting, and the eggs are Very Attractive keepsakes, but I actually really appreciate that there are NOT many such events in Glitch.  They're too much like a Skinner box adjustment for my taste - I don't want to feel driven to acquire a new item/new collection/new badge/new limited-time-only opportunity memento.  I very much like that the game doesn't play on/prey on that kind of reflex response.

  • Found some eggs and bought some.. Bottom line is - I'm all set for grain for a very looonnnnggggg time :P  Our poor Glitchickens must have felt terrorized!  LOL

  • @oscarette

By "more special events" I don't necessarily mean special items. There could be lots of other options, and, frankly, not everybody has to feel driven to participate anyway. During the Halloween time, I enjoyed making pumpkins, but I did not feel driven to acquire the candy-exchange-badges (although giving out candies was fun).

I just think that a lot of us have, after months of playing, developed their own, kind of going through the motions playstile. I find it very interesting, if something comes up that makes me play Glitch different than I played it before.

As, for example, I never cared much for the chickens on public streets. In fact, I did find them a nuisance. There were far too many of them everywhere for my taste. Now for the last 2 days I suddenly thought there were not enough ("What? Only 3 chickens on this street? Why?"). That was a nice change in perspective.
