SMS Notification System

I'd be thrilled to get a text at any hour with a notification that Glitch testing is in session until things become more regular. I don't check my email enough for it to be useful; I might as well check the game itself before I check my email. Alas, texting.

Would I wake up at night to play? Yes. Would others? Depends. If we were to get technical... a system could be set up similar to Facebook's in that users could specify during which hours of the day they will receive notifications. No more interrupted sleep.

I miss so many tests that something like this seems like a fantastic idea. Better notification = more testers = more feedback. Any takers?

  • It'll be open 24 hours in the not-TOO-distant future and they seem to get "enough" testers with secret and announced tests in the meantime. (not that i'd mind notifications)

  • I would not mind the sms messages either...I do not receive any emails and I am not sure where to go to see if my email is correct...I just end up checking glitch a million times each day...haha but really where do I go to update my email? I have not received any emails about testing...

  • Hmm. How about if we made another Twitter account that was just for test announcements (game is on, game is off) and you subscribed to that account by SMS. Would that work?

  • That would be just dandy!

  • That would just be awesome! I will assume it is always updated though. Maybe an automatic system?

  • OK, done. First tweet: twitter.com/isglitchopen/st...

We will make it automated and note all tests there (unless we really need just a small number of people in).
