Ballots & Voting

We just opened the first ballot ("Which Two Animals Should Get Added to Glitch Next?") So, subscribers: you can finally spend one of those votes that have been storing up (or two of them … or thirty).

We anticipate holding these kind of referendums about once a month, but that's subject to change as we see what happens.

  • Goats eat EVERYTHING, and the one in that picture has two mouths.  Just saying.

  • Man, so little sloth love! Shoot, man, you can get alpacas in like every Zynga or Playfish game. I want to see some adorable endangered sloth action! Seriously, how can you say no to these faces?!

  • Stoot, I propose we reset this ballot to give sloths a chance. Or, just give us sloths anyway. SLOTHS. WANT THEM.
Posted 9 months ago by Abby Cadabra Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Sloths should definitely be a bonus animal, especially if they can hang from chandeliers.

  • Could we start over? I'm fully in team sloth. I'm so glad the field finally has a strong candidate.

  • Nods - I only get 3 votes per month so I'm with glum... don't feel the need to splurge them all on this. I'll save most of them for next month's vote on whether or not to add a Glitch space station region.

But sloth! Oh my... I'd have voted for sloth... but... well... maybe in a bit... or later...

ETA: As Abbey says "give sloths a chance"... I feel a song coming on.

  • I don't think it is a safe bet to vote for foxes and sheep in the assumption that we will get soft textiles for our houses. This is the wonderful  imagination of TS where eggs grow on trees and we squeeze grain out of a chicken.  So for all we know, a kangaroo could give us balls of fleece from its pouch or a toad could provide a great adhesive and better hallucinogen/decorative know how.
Posted 9 months ago by Oristia Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Vote 1 for Kangaroo as they can store an unlimited amount of household items in their pouch, and maybe even lob a couple of aussie beers your way. The only problem would be if you need them to move backward as they can't. They are awesome tho...but not as awesome as badgers and meerkats...and narwhals (for when there is a glitch underwater kingdom)

  • The Shimla Shears Wool Wanters (along with a strong coalition of other non-existent yet highly alliterative organizations) vote ALPACA!

  • I would have spent all of my votes on sloths, for the record.  Cue the saddest trombones!
Posted 9 months ago by Sloppy Ketchup Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I think it's hard to deny that, if sloths had been on the ballot from the start, they'd be plodding into the lead.

I think Oristia's right: knowing Tiny Speck, sheep would probably produce nails to stick the house planks together.

But I want a sloth hanging from my chandelier. I withdraw my support for sheep. TEAM SLOTH!

  • I am astonished and the lack of moose lovers in this thread. My entire room and bathroom are moose themed. I can't vote but omg moose moose moose.

  • I like that the results are shown as the voting happens. This way more people can save their votes if they see some options are clearly winning, instead of voting for something that already stood no chance of winning and feeling like the votes were wasted.

  • My first choice (fox) seems to be in the lead already, so I'm going to hold my (only 3) votes until the end and use them if it seems close.
I'd be happy with most of the animals on the list, except monkeys. Never been a fan of monkeys.
(I love goats! But I wouldn't want them for the game if they look like the monstrosity in the link posted earlier. Real goats are cute!)

  • HBurger, I'm kinda hoping the platypuses...platypi...the option for platypus is a house pet, like Perry from Phineas and Ferb...I really could use one that turns into a secret agent... ;)

Sadly no squirrels to go with the moose option...sigh...does no one watch classic cartoons anymore?!

I'm lobbying for Alpacas, Moose, Kangaroos, and Sheep....though I might be swayed on the great goats comments...

Like the platypus, I was hoping for pet monkeys and/or rabbits not wild ones...just saying...
