no more quests to do?

I'm on level 24 and haven't gotten a new quest to do in quite awhile. I'm kind of floating around aimlessly at this point...gathering currants and making various items but not for anything in particular.

Am I missing something? Should I be working on/for something? I'm starting to fall out of the game a bit =/

  • Most quests come at the conclusion of learning a skill (a few skills may not have quests but I believe most of them were filled in with the November updates).  A couple are triggered by leveling, I think, but adding skills is by far the best way to get more quests.

If you want other assorted activities, the Sandbox group has some missions that can pass a nice afternoon from time to time!

  • There is a good explanation of quests and requirements here

  • Other than sandbox, which is fun, you can try to get badges. That also adds directed purpose to your play

  • Thanks guys! I'll check out the sandbox and badge listings.

  • I'm level 24 as well and having the same problem. Floating. Looks like maybe we have a quest gap at level 24...?
Seems like most quests come from skills, but quite a few don't and I've only gotten one this level I believe, and I'm almost done with it.

  • I don't know... you have to really make your own path.
Hoard. Prepare for street projects. Have a fun group to talk to. Make oranges. Spinach salad. Grow potatoes for stew. Donate endlessly to Tii. Play GoC. Work on badges. Some things you can do ;)
I've level 41, and I still am full of things to do. Maybe I do too much :(

  • The same thing happened to me, but keep learning - you get a quest for every skill, and some of them are kind of hard!

Now I spend my time making expensive gifts for the gods, and eating like a crazed hyena.

  • Fernstream - most of the quests that are triggered by leveling are behind you now, yes.  You'll mostly see them from new skills, and as you advance, skills take longer to learn, so you're not getting a new quest after forty minutes of play or sometimes even after a week.  They will keep coming along, but if quests are what keep you going in a game, you will probably lose interest here at least for now.  (Supposedly new quest events are in the works, but no ETA on them....)   I hope you find something else you enjoy!

  • I find that every so often I feel that way, when I finish a project or group of quests and am trying to figure out what's next.  So here are some goals/tasks I've set for myself in the past, both short and long-term. Some I have achieved and some I haven't.

    Visit every street in Ur
Make a full set of icons
Visit the ancestral lands once per game day
Make a full bag of crystals
Hide or give away all the dropped food from trees and animals
    Rescue stranded piggies
Get maximum donation XP every game day
Make over X amount of currants (this has gone up and up)
Help people achieve the Peter Out Peat quest
Keep the garden planted and cook as many meals as possible using the produce

    and on and on...

There are lots of things to do! I'm currently working with a friend on a project that involves snapshotting on almost every street in Ur and it has made us both appreciate the beautiful detail in the game art.

What do you like doing right now? What motivates you to keep coming back? Do some more of that.  When you're tired of it, do something else. If you're not sure what to do next, learn a short skill and let the resulting quest jumpstart your activity.

  • I'd strongly second the suggestion to help other people get their badges / quests. Glitch trains are fun!

  • Perhaps TS should put in a notice at level 24 or so to tell players to work on achievements so that they don't wander around aimlessly.

TS can also link them to the Glitch Achiever to advise them on which achievements they should work on next. Essentially your "next 12 quests", so to speak.

  • I'm level 26 and I have heaps of quests still. I'm still learning skills so that could be why. Also, I make tools or crystals to donate to get Icons of every giant and I want to visit all the locations in all the areas for the achievements and I need to get more achievements. So yeah, still plenty to do here.

  • P.S. All the achievements are listed in the encyclopedia

  • Everyone here is right- there are a bazillion things to do besides quests. I was just noting (well, seconding dede's noting) that level 24 is kind of a quest gap.
