2000. I was influenced by Humbabella's examination of the drawbacks of a large mood tank. I stopped at 2000 because it's a nice round number. I mostly use focused meditation to keep my mood above 90%.
3000, because I suck at math and didn't really understand Humbabella's explanations right away. Plus I really wanted those quoin multiplier cards. Wish I'd stopped at 2000, because the mood thing sucks.
3,000. I just felt like I didn't want anything much larger right now (I had about 3200-3500 before the iMG implementation), and I wanted to stop at a nice round number. 3,000 feels like enough to do a lot before needing to eat, yet the mood feels manageable when crafting. Or... it did with Rookswort. I'll have to try some different things now though. I do have all of the mood slowing cards at least.
720 and I'll probably stay there. I don't really do enough to merit a bigger tank, and Awesome Stews and visits to the Ancestral Lands keep me tanked up.
1000. I like that food/drink/meditation actually have a meaningful effect with a "small" energy tank. I found a large energy tank kind of trivialized the mood/energy system, since I don't play for long periods in one sitting; it was nice when I had it (I think I was up to 2.5k or so? before iMG), but I'm enjoying gardening/cooking again!
800. What do you all need all that energy for? I mostly mine and donate, and 800 is fine for me. I eat 3 Awesome Stews at a time, so I have 4 meals per stack. Mood is no problem (haven't seen the mood slowing cards yet); I just keep butterfly milk around and meditate occasionally. I stopped at 800 a while before I learned about the downsides to having tons of mood, mostly because it was near what I had before the IMG switch (I was at level 30something, and dropped down to 22 I think), it was a round number, and I didn't find I needed more. Freed up IMG to spend on other crap.
I occasionally consider going up to 820 or something so I can eat 4 Awesome Stew at a time, but it would annoy me to not have a multiple of 100, so I haven't.
520 I think. I absolutely suck at getting iMG and saw the multitude of posts saying that having a high energy tank sucks so I only upgraded mine once or twice.
2400 This has been about perfect for my needs. I'm glad I took others' advice about not getting too big a tank. Between quoins and drinks, I found I didn't need to use rootswort very often.
1610, as I had after the transition as a former Lv60. I'm working on Z-Class, and don't have the time to be in game long enough to hit super pooped regularly, even with such a "small" tank.
Once I get that last darn tele badge, I'll likely go up to the lowest possible energy that unlocks either the 2nd or 3rd mood card. Based on a discussion ingame yesterday, it seems that they become available when your max energy (and therefore mood) passes a certain point.
3600, because I just went willy nilly and bought tank upgrades to hopefully get better cards (my deals often fail to give me cards relavent to my interests) and while it's great for crafting (which I've been doing a whole mess of) it's not great for mood loss, of which when I log on sometimes, I'm already down to 93%.
1000: Big enough to do things in full stacks and similar. But small enough that my mood can raise quickly if its lost....heck if I repair any of my tools to full my mood is almost full.
It also helps with me only needing 3 or 4 awesome stews to go back to full. Though lately I've abused the ancient lands some <.<
When I was a new little Glitch, I disliked running out of energy so quickly. I'm playing Glitch in order to do things, not for the care and feeding of energy tanks! (That goes for mood tanks too, hint hint.) So I enjoyed reaching the higher levels and not having to worry about it.
After the switch to iMG, I tried to keep a small energy tank, but I still disliked it. Having to refuel so often interrupts the flow. Flow is good. So I'm all for more energy.
1500. I honestly can't understand why people buy bigger tanks. I play for several hours at a time most evenings, and run out of energy only rarely; it's nothing that can't be fixed by reveres, Awesome Stews, or ancestral jaunts. I'm not a mega-grinder, but I do play a lot and like "doing stuff" (as opposed to decorating/chatting), and 1500 suits me just fine.
1090 and I'm not going higher. I have plenty and don't have to worry about ever running low. Mostly I keep it up (mood and energy) by grabbing the occasional high value quoin.
Pale Queen --- I have mine higher so I can make bigger batches of stuff more quickly without having to refill. I also don't eat much food or meditate much. So mine's around 4400, which is nice if I want to make ALL THE THINGS. Like Flowerry Pott said, flow is good!
2510 I upgraded from around 2000 when the mood cards came out. Probably wouldn't have if I had known about the nerd I was planning to go higher I don't like eating.
3600, which I'm happy with and will likely stick at. I have little problem with energy or mood with so much meat and butterfly milk available from collectors along with a row of icons. I also like being able to go afk for a game day without dying.
3600, and I would likely have gone higher if it weren't for Humbabella's discussion about the link between energy and mood upgrades. A bigger tank made sense for me because I'm still pursuing the not-dying thing (because I like and am now used to playing under this self-imposed constraint). That said, since the upgrades became available that allow us to cook larger batches of things, I've had a couple of close calls, even with my tank at 3600. There've been a few bouts of frantic swearing, at least.
I don't know that I'll increase my tank much more, if at all, even though mood loss is now capped. My current tank gives me enough energy to do stuff but provides enough of a challenge to keep it interesting for me.
@Pale Queen I agree Im at 1600. I dont see any reason to go any higher. When i log and dont eat/drink anything i can gather for 45 mins to a hour. And when i craft plenty of buffer for eating large amounts of food.
Also i dont think the devs have decided on tank size issue's altogether. And i dont want to be stuck with a large tank just yet. I would wait till beta is over before going any higher.
3900. I went a bit crazy when upgrades were first released. But now I've adjusted and found easy ways to manage my mood. Will round it up to 4000 as soon as I finish capping my BC.
