Seedlings BFF quest?

I've been given the following quest:

Seedlings BFF   Crack your knuckles and administer a gentle but authoritative petting to 7 different Seedlings.

--but I can't tell what constitutes a seedling. I've petted several trees that are clearly not fully matured, including a couple that I've grown myself -- but it's not showing as any progress in fulfilling the quest.

If anyone can clarify what defines a seedling, I'd be most grateful.

  • I think the only way to do this quest is to plant your own beans in patches and they will sprout seedlings which you can pet. They grow past the seedling stage pretty quickly and nobody leaves un-petted seedlings around for others to take care of, usually when people plant beans they pet the seedlings right away. So, you won't find any unless you plant your own.

  • I have completed this quest and when I did there were some open patches in the forest and meadow areas. I found out that once you plant a seasoned bean you pet it maybe three or four times before it changes from a seedling to a tree. So, if someone finds a patch or kills a tree to plant a bean (or has someone kill the tree for them if they don't have the skill) it might be helpful to others if they only pet the seedling once and announce in their group chat or global chat where the seedling is located so others can use it for their quest. Also, if you have a home or a friend w/a home you use those patches for your seasoned beans.

  • I think the seedling stage is when you see only 2 leaves on the little stalk

  • A seedling is the very first sprout you see after planting a bean.

I got the achievement by (in my own backyard) poisoning trees, planting, petting, then poisoning them and starting the cycle over again x7.
