The 12th isn't even guaranteed--it all depends on when they finish doing the changes they want to implement. The devs can't even predict that... They could finish early (cross your fingers!), or late, or who knows...
"Standard" is "usually" sometime between 10am to 2pm PST.
By that I mean there is no standard and no real usual.
I would say noon PST on the 12th, give or take 72 to 148 hours.
I think the lord hit it on the head, well sort of. I was really looking for at exactly ______. Why! I don't even have a good answer for that, maybe so I can do a backwards countdown like when I had a ten minute break and would start 600 599 598, anal is another possibility.
Well on the serious side of this .Thank God for this time off of Glitch,it always takes me forever to learn new things, like Google+, just getting on some of it now. As usual half -wit comes to mind.haha, but aching for the Open sign to see the new stuff, each time it is so exciting.
aww I knew you guys love me :) my insanity it directly caused by my ear err I mean dear and wonderful friends. xox just wanting to visit with all once game opens up. :)
Tsk, young Glitches today, wanting to know date _and_ time. When I was a young Glitch, we waited weeks and weeks between tests, and then we missed it because it was only open for 2 hours unannounced.
We didn't have those newfangled subways or teleports either. We walked everywhere! Uphill, both ways! *grumble* *grumble* chickens and pigs didn't talk either. Now they just yak yak yak, always got something to say. And don't even get me started on the things Glitches today are wearing.
OH MY I had no idea! Things have gotten sweeter no doubt. I would love to hear how it was in the very start of Glitch. I need a good history lesson, please.
Now you all sound like my kids, I felt walking was healthy for them to start their day off. Of course that was my opinion and not theirs.
They would walk to school together and it only took them about 35-40 minutes to go 3 1/2 miles.
It never snowed so we didn't have to deal with that, 4 feet deep my god who broke the trail?
LOL at this thread. I did walk to all my schools when I grew up in Wisconsin...and lived over a mile from the middle school but was not allowed to "bring my lunch - no cafeteria" so we all walked back home for lunch and back in 40 minutes. We did not think anything of it. My high school was 2 miles away but at least they had a cafeteria. We DID have snow in Wisconsin lol.
Okay considering we're at the 24 hour mark, I don't feel *too* guilty asking this question seriously... any word, TS folks, on if/when the game will open tomorrow? Even a "it definitely will/won't open tomorrow" would be very much appreciated... trying to determine how hard I need to work tonight! *g*
Raring to go as well :))) I have been since the day after the last closure...I discovered loads of things I wanted to do that I hadn't thought of during the test, lol.
I hope it doesn't open for at least another 24 hours. I'm supposed to finish my master degree and since I've discovered Glitch my progress has... well let's not get in to that. Let's just say it's a good thing the game's only open some of the time ^_^
Linnaea and Windborn, are you messing with us or is that real? Cause I can totally see Tiny Speck picking a crazy time like that, but I can also totally see you guys messing with us, so I want to know the truth...
By the way, times that are given are usually pacific time in the U.S., because that's where the Glitch team is.
only fooling. Really, Meherman is absolutely correct. As we all should know through our own experience.
This is computer software that is still being coded and integrated into other software. We are testing this software, because it is likely to have bugs and otherwise not be ready for the general public.
The people who are writing the code are working towards a deadline. We all know how deadlines and creative work go. Seldom is everything exactly right at exactly the deadline.
It's amazing that they even tell us what their targets are, since it's so easy to miss those targets and create a bunch of unhappiness. "sometime on Tuesday, July 12" is pretty darn specific under those circumstances.
But, yes, from previous experience, I'd say sometime between noon and 5 pm Pacific time would be highly likely.
