Glitch Spotify Playlist

I've created a Spotify Playlist of songs that remind me of the character of this game, and I thought you all might like to hear it as well.  It's a combination of modern folk-rock (Mumford & Sons, Kings of Leon, etc), World Music (Deep Forest, Enigma, etc) and songs with oddly appropriate titles (Peter Gabriel's "Digging in the Dirt" and "Shaking the Tree" jumped out at me).

I haven't made the list shared-editorial as I'm still crafting it.  There are 36 tracks, accounting for 2 hours of music, but I'll be adding to it as I think of more.

(I'm guessing this is the right forum for this, as it's "created-art" for the game, right?)

  • [cue Charlie Brown's "AAUGH!!!"]
"Spotify is currently not available in your country. Enter your email address to be first in line when we launch!"
Crap. I was really looking forward to hearing this playlist!

  • The country restriction is only on the signup.  Once you're signed up, you can listed wherever you are.  So, if you track down a free US-based proxy (there are thousands), you can use that to sign up.

  • Maybe toss in Owl City's "Fireflies" for giggles if you haven't already.

  • Hmpf. Facebook-shmacebook.

Wouldn't matter if I could bypass it with the proxy...I don't have a Facebook account [facepalmderp]...should read all the instructions first...  ;)

    [sighs]

Any chance you'd (pretty please?) list-share once crafting is finished? Y'know, for those of us (or maybe just me?) who don't have proxies or Facebook accounts?

  • Done.  Good suggestion.

On a related note:  Talking Heads have an album entitled "More Songs About Buildings and Food" from which I had to physically restrain myself to add in total.

  • It requires a Facebook account?  I thought that was only for the social-sharing aspect of it.  Hmph, well, you learn something new every day.

I've published the playlist, and it's up there in the link, but I don't know if there's anything else you can do without having a Spotify account to listen to it.

  • Not that I'm advocating it, but creating a FB account attached to a throwaway email address is rather trivial.  Not that I'm saying I've done it, or that anyone I know has ever done it.  Nope.  Not here.

  • Also, spotify isn't available in all countries, without the obvious proxy. You could do a youtube playlist, to be opened and played in another browser.

  • Actually, Cleops, you only need the proxy for signing up.  After that, you can listen to it wherever.

  • Cool, thanks! This was exactly the incentive I needed to download Spotify on my new(-ish) laptop. :~D

  • is that not against the Terms & Conditions of Spotify? People said the same when Hulu was rumoured to be starting here in NZ and that got stomped on VERY quickly when Hulu heard about it...

  • Spotify hasn't done anything about it, even though it's been discussed on their official forums for years, now.
