Before you get the pit bull and we all get pitchforks out, remember the botler only tells you who visited the immediate day before, not the current day
The odds of a simultaneous mass die-off of all kinds of animals on a street are extremely low. If a player is absent from the game for a week or two and returns to no animals, sure; but an active player? No.
I have the opposite problem! Animals keep showing up on my street! I think it's because I am a lovely pig farmer with lovely free-range piggies who eat off my trees and are happy and get daily pets. I'm like the Glitchen Pig Rescue, unwanted piggies are dropped off in the d ead of night. ;)
Oh, I just know when new players start streaming into the game we are all going to be dealing with pig-nappers. We will have to put in an education program so youngsters do not work on the assumption that all pigs are free range and automatically respawn.
I think we should just be cool about the piggies (and other animals) - it isn't like they are hard to replace. So what if one gets moved to somewhere else?
I also think that it needs to be clearer that the bottler only lists visitors from the previous game day. Makes me a bit jittery visiting streets of Glitchen I don't know and be accused of something I didnt do.
Agreed, Troll Doll - I've seen a few people now talking about blocking people who were in their streets at the time that something happened, and I wonder if I've already been blocked for visiting the wrong days.
I'm pretty careful about blocking-- I only block repeat offenders, and only when I can be sure it was them that did it (only 1 visitor in the time frame, so usually only when I'm logging on fairly frequently) or I actually see them do it...
Basically, if you come to my street and you leave a mess in my gardens, you will be blocked. I feel bad about it, but I don't have time to hunt down every person who does and find out if they just didn't know better (probably true sometimes), or are just habitually a jerk.
(Preemptive to the "Tiny Speck allows us mess up your garden, and it's a public street, so why are you getting upset?" crowd -- Glitch lets me block, so why are you arguing?)
I've never blocked you, though. ;)
I actually wish blocking was finer-grained-- I hate that blocking someone from my street means I don't get to chat with them, etc... :( :( :(
why would someone bother other than as a personal afront? the world is full of wandering creatures for the taking were someone inclined.; thats pretty nasty.
Seems like a lot of work to kill your non-piggy animals, plus they should only be able to capture one piggy from your street (for 45 days or whatever, right?). Is it possible something else happened?
