Launch...it's a-coming

Q1. Are you staying or going? (Yes, No, Not Sure)

Q2. If you are going, why?

Q3. If you are staying, how will your style of play change?

Q4. From your time testing Glitch, what is the one thing that you will take with you wherever you go (in life, online, to poop)?

    2. -
    3. No change (- I've only been a tester a couple weeks, so still wandering and learning)
    4. Faunasphere closed, but the community and game attitude is here now it looks like. What is lost is not really lost, but transformed... Ain't life cool sometimes?

  • 1. Yes
    2.
    3. Perhaps engage more in community forums and groups; I'm a lurker by nature.
    4. The hope that awesome discussions regarding the game will be fodder for an upcoming symposium.

  • 1. Staying, staying, staying, haven't spent nearly enough time here to even think of leaving.
    3. Going to plan things out more. And be smarter about learning skills.
    4. Finding Glitchy items in the offline world :) and the people I've encountered here with whom I never would've engaged otherwise :)

  • !. duh  staying
    3.  The time of year really has a lot to do with it.  But assuming it's fall or beginning of winter, I would choose my skills a little differently, work on getting a house because I am such a pack rat..  I guess the first few weeks will be a little frantic, but then I plan to settle down to a slower pace.  If's it's still warm out, I probably won't be here as much so I would concentrate on making currants:)
    4.    The community.. friendships :)

    1. Stay, I'm sure.
    2. See 1.
    3. My style can be summed up "pootle about and just do whatever takes my fancy". I don't really see that changing.
    4. The people, of course.

  • 1. Totally staying.
    2. Not applicable.
    3. I'll be less clingy, due to no longer having to worry about them taking my precious precious glitch away from my possessive hands, but still around a lot. The social aspects are as enjoyable as the gameplay some days, and I wouldn't want to lose that.
    4. Besides the prisencolinensinainciusol incident? The little ditty in the teaser trailer. That sucker STILL gets stuck in my head sometimes.

  • 1. Possibly

    2. School. My membership ends the day before school starts. And no, I didn't plan that. Also, judging by all of us right now, who knows who will join when it opens? The whole game may just turn in to everybody gathering in one place with no clothes on. Oh wait, we do that now :D

3: If I stay, I'll definitely change my skills that I learn. I'll probably learn teleportation and cooking first, and start saving up for a big house earlier as well.

4: All the memories from this game that I was online to see... *couch prisencolinensinainciusol cough*

  • 1 and 2. I don't know. I used to think I was staying (see the subscriber heart?), but recently I've gotten so totally sick of the holier-than-thou goings-on all over the forums that it affects my opinion of the game itself. I might stop playing.

    3. If I'm staying, I probably will only interact with others in groups I'm a member of, with whom I feel a shared sense of humor and a lighthearted approach to living-and-letting-live, and who understand when to take things seriously and when to be silly. Enough drama, already.

    4. I've re-established some old friendships and expanded new ones, and learned how to take risks at play. That's the best part of what Glitch is and can be.

  • 1. Staying o' course.
    2. O.o
    3. Going to be much more direct. I'm going to turn into an XP freak. I've played for months and yet I'm at level freaking 25.
    4. The people (mostly) are awesome here, and I love that :)

  • 1.  Staying for sure!
    2.  Uh no - pink heart and all
    3.  Change up my learning skills a little and move into a bigger house.  It will be nice to relax and play whenever I want.  Also looking forward to making more new friends.  It's one of the best parts of the game.
    4.  My hand fan :)

  • 1. I'll probably stay, although I'm with Eleanor on the "holier-than-thou goings-on all over the forums" (and in game, to some degree). I'm actually looking forward to a whole slew of new players when the game launches, though I bet there will come a day I'll regret saying that.

    2. My style of play changes constantly anyway. The only constant is that I tend to be a lurker - only really interacting with a small group of people. A few I've met here, and some I've known and loved for years thanks to the pre-Glitch pre-Flickr game. Then there are the real life friends I've addicted...err...invited, and the ones I brought over from another game.

    3. My baby piglet.

  • 1. Probably going
    2. I'm a cheapskate (unless there is a free option?).  Sorry, I know it's a business, but I don't have spare $$ for it

  • Cheers @Millie.  Revised version:

    1. Probably staying
    3. May play less often since can choose when to play (I particularly liked the idea of being part of exclusive testing).  May play more often if get more socially involved (see my reply to 'Too many things' thread).
    4. "Awesome sauce" - I first heard it here! :D

    2. N/A
    3. No change. I plan to continue to fall asleep on random streets and mysteriously perform repetitive actions.
    4. My work queue.

  • Q1. Will I stay or will I go? What time is it?  Staying, with occasional bouts of going.

Q2. If I go, it's because I couldn't squeeze another shenanigan out of my intermittent boredom.

Q3. No change. I don't think. Ask me again after launch. If I am still here. What time is it?

Q4. What will I take with me?  The beauty that comes from the intensity and intimacy of an alpha/beta experience.  Having my imagination stimulated so often and well.  The few people that I am certain that I would stay in touch with even if I left...unfortunately a sizable chunk are so private in their internet dealings, I only know and will probably only ever know them here.  The way to get salt.  Endless gobs of respect and admiration for the Tiny Speck team.
