Possible Feeding bug: Piggy OK versus Batterfly Not-so-OK

I'm going to preface this by saying that I've been doing a CRAP-TON of seed and guano making lately.  Literally, I've harvested, like, 2000 pounds (or possibly even 1000 kg.) of virtual poop over the past several days.  So, I've had a lot of time to experiment.

When you drag a stack of food to feed a piggy or a batterfly, you are given the option of typing in the amount you want to feed them, which is awesome.  This amount is out of the sum TOTAL of the amount of that particular item in your pack (thus, I have two stacks of eggs, one with 250 eggs and another with 6 eggs, so the total shown is 256).  Here are the scenarios that are causing me distress (these happened today):

1).  Drag potatoes over to feed a Piggy, the total that comes up for me is 82 (80 from one stack+2 from the stack I dragged to piggy).  Type in "3" and hit "Go" and the 2 from the stack you dragged and 1 from the other stack go to feed piggy, resulting in plop.  Awesome!

2).  Drag eggs over to feed a Batterfly, the total that comes up for me is 256 (250 from one stack+6 from the stack I dragged to Batterfly).  Type in "10" and hit "Go" and the 6 from the stack you dragged goes to feed the Batterfly, but NOTHING comes from the other stack, thus resulting in only 1 guano instead of the expected 2.  I had previously been feeding them for several minutes at 10 eggs a shot and getting 2 guano per feeding.  Not cool!

Now, I didn't really lose anything in this particular incident (arguably 1 egg, but meh).  But, the fact that the feeding function (or more precisely, the amount picking function) seems to be different for both of these majestic creatures seems to be a problem.

Thanks for looking into this, and if anyone else has noticed similar or different, please let me know.
