Heya!
Firstly, I'd like to say that we at the Uncle Friendly Society fully appreciate the numerous recent tweaks to game balance wrt food and drink preparation. I haven't had the time to closely examine the new statistics, but if they're as well thought-out as the rest of the game, I'm sure they'll be a nice way to cut down on everyone standing around and grinding food.
There is one major issue though, and it's gonna keep popping up every day at this rate -- it's common courtesy for game companies to release patch notes when things are patched. They're not always fully itemized, but they give players fair warning -- something like "Several recipes have been changed to balance harvestable use" is nice to see before we drop like 5000 currants on a recipe that no longer exists (as we knew it). MMOs usually use a MotD mechanism. If the exploit is vital then by all means patch it asap, but if you just want to do non-urgent balancing then add an outgoing message to the loading screen when you do! Often, a link to full patch notes in the forum is sufficient, as well.
Thanks, I know you guys have your hands really full right now, whereas we're just playing games... it's just a nice way to show you care! As an aside, it would also take a bit of stress off your Live Help group, if users were better informed, and Guides had a link to proper patch notes to show everyone (something more officail and detailed than the current staff topics).
Sincerely,
