Heard you were looking for ideas for animals

my friend suggested that I share with you an idea for goats as new animals when she heard about my pigmy goats and their antics… standing on their hind legs locking horns and challenging in play; eating anything in sight just because there lol. Would be fun :-)

  • I agree with the goats. You could also shave them and use it to do weird stuff. Or (if you wanted more creep factor), they could give you some of their skin, since Vellum was one of the original forms of paper- and make an indestructible book.

    Penguins are very in.

  • There was a worm/caterpillar sleeping under the ground in one area I went to. I kept wondering if it was going to start to move and poke out of the ground...

So, my idea: worms that randomly pop out of the ground, to be quickly caught before they disappear again. Use: in plots to increase the yield, as we all know worms make for better gardens

(P.S. I love the miniature goats idea. I immediately imagined them jumping around on the slopes of Groddle Heights)

  • I like the idea of goats that would come into streets where there are lots of stray stuff on the ground and eat it to help clean up.  They could jump from level to level like mountain goats.

I also like the idea of Giant worms but have them eat people who poison spice trees--the spice must flow!

  • OK - I like the goat idea and there are possibilities for a different kind of milk. And obviously would not take up nearly as much room as say a cow.

I like the worm - but could we make them silk worms that we could gather silk and possibly skills that would allow us to make the silk into new clothing? And like recipes - get patterns?

And what about fishing - we already have Salmon - I wouldn't mind being able to catch my own fish.

  • hahah no monkeys please (if there is one animal I don't like ..its a monkey.)

Indeed a penguin would be cool. And a sheep ;-)

  • Sheep!
We could get wool from them, spin the wool into yarn, colour the yarn with different colours (made out of elements/compounds and fruit/herbs), get fabrics, and maybe even make basic clothing!
It would require a new skill set to be created.

  • @Atlantis: aww, what's not to like about a monkey? I've got a pet capuchin IRL that's absolutely wonderful! Maybe if they don't fling poo?
@FlirtyvonSexenhaven: everybody knows what *they* don't give...

  • +1 for sheep!

  • I'm kind of against monkeys- they're just too high energy for a fairly high energy environment to begin with.

  • What about something more challenging, say skunks?  Treat them right and get musk based perfume, don't treat them right and, well, you will regret it!  You could lose a lot of mood, or maybe have to be socially isolated for a certain amount of time if you get skunked......

  • jumping down and spooking a chicken no big deal but surprising a skunk could be a very different thing... at least we have tomatoes in game to help clean the stink off.
