Listed vendor price(s) changed, actual worth didn't?

When I donate a cauldron that I bought for 3675 currants, I'm only getting 350 favour. I should be getting 367.5, yes?

  • The amount of favor you get is based on the actual worth of the item, not how much you pay for it at a vendor.

  • The stills are (still, heh) only getting 200 favour and their price went up to 2100. It looks to me as though the favour amounts (and encyclopedia/info entries) just need updating to reflect the price increases. Or did I miss a memo about donation value not being tied to vendor price anymore (as Millie says)?

  • Vendor prices are a bit more variable than the actual value (the value that's in the encyclopedia) of the item now. [source]

  • Both vendor prices and donation value are determined from the "base cost" listed in the Encyclopedia, which stays constant. Different vendors have different prices, so the donation value can't really be based on vendor value.

Humbabella's blog has some additional info on vendor prices: http://mathemaglitch.blogspot.ca/2012/04/vendor-prices.html

  • Thanks, all, for catching me up. I usually know what's going on around here (I hope), but this snuck by me. My Glitch brain must be over capacity.
