Inventory management is a drag.

I spend a lot of my time and money doing inventory management, and I'm surprised that it's such a big part of the game.  I've spent so much on bags:

3 regular bags: 900 * 3 = 2700
1 Toolbox = 2500

1 Elemental Pouch = 50
1 Alchemestry Kit = 100 (why are these so cheap in comparison?!)

So, I've spent a total of 5350 on "pouches", and I'm *still* spending a huge amount of time trying to figure out how to carry all my stuff.  Thankfully, I can just donate things I don't want (or sell them, but this is barely worth the cash compared to what you get doing quests).

I've spent more on pouches than than I did for my house in Fairgrower Lane.

The economy around pouches & inventory management seems really out of whack.

  • Stacy, this is really only an issue early on. If you gather a lot of resources and sell a few on the auction house (especially any pricey diamonds gathered while mining), you'll have an inventory full of Bigger Bags in short order (as well as a few in the storage space in your house).

Sooner or later, you won't notice this at all. A house, bags and tools are really the only things you need to buy in this game (or so I can see so far). If you're productive, they shouldn't be much of a problem getting.

BTW, the toolbox was a bad investment. Should have just gotten a bigger bag.

  • Agreed that the toolbox is not a great investment if you're short on cash.  (I'm not trying to scold you, Stacy, just putting that out there for others who might read the thread).

But I don't think the economy on bags are "out of whack" as you say.  Bags are essentially forever--you can't eat them or destroy them, you can't even sell them to the vendors, to be reabsorbed by the game, and they don't fade away like notes.  Bags are permanent, and you're paying for that permanence, I guess.  I don't think the price of bags is too high--after all, they're probably the most useful thing you're carrying!
