Glitch Public Library

I have created (well, re-created after the first one was stolen) a public library for Glitchens to enjoy.

Each note on my home street has a six-word story written by a notable author. Come visit, enjoy, and feel free to add to the collection.

Here's a sample:
Gown removed carelessly. Head, less so.
- Joss Whedon

Longed for him. Got him. Shit.
- Margaret Atwood

  • Cool!
You should make it a "gnome public library."

  • It would be so cool if they added a skill that let you write books! Like Bookbinding or something, and you could choose the amount of pages and the name of the book and urrythang. That would seriously be the coolest.

& this next one is not really a story, but a humorous telegram sent by writer Robert Benchley, after first visiting Venice, to his editor at the New Yorker

Streets full of water.  Please advise.

ps. @ Abby - I think your quote about the Baby Shoes is by Ernest Hemingway

  • How awesome! I intend to visit when the game comes back.

  • The origin is that Hemingway once wrote a story in just six words ("For sale: baby shoes, never worn.") and is said to have called it his best work. Many authors have tried to replicate his awesomeness.

I thought that this format would be perfect for Glitch.

  • Yes, use gnomes.  That way no stealing.  That would be awesome. :)  Also if each gnome had more than one quote, it would be random which ones pop up.  Actually I may try this too. :)
