Unpredictable xp from donation

I noticed this a few times this test when I was donating to shrines.

I'd get the usual 0.1 * price as a favor reward and 0.2 * price as an XP reward. But occasionally when I was donating a number of times in rapid succession a small donation would give me a much larger XP bonus. Just before the test ended I donated some gems under shrine powder effect and then was donating items without the benefit of the powder. My second broken tinkertool with no powder on gave me a 2000 odd xp bonus and bumped me u a level, instead of the 100xp the first tinkertool into the shrine gave me.

It's kind of handy, but I just wanted to mention it, especially if it starts bleeding over to favor which could be a serious PITA when you're donating to accelerate learning time instead of your nth emblem.

  • Catari, I don't think it's a bug.

There have always been random spikes in donations (both in favor and XP). They've affectionately become known as 'Holy Hits' in certain circles. I had a stack of Moly net me close to 20k in xp and a fair bit of favor (should have been 400 xp / 200 favor), which bumped me up a level, gave me the emblem for the Giant I was donating to (it won't exceed the 1000 cap), and 3 others (because the favor increase at the level-up pushed me over with those Giants).

I could complain about how painful it was to have 1 donation yield 4 emblems... but after a point you can't reduce learning any further, and you run out of skills to reduce. The only productive option is to collect extra emblems.... of course you could wait and donate in huge sums with EHSP, gathering all of the XP and only 1 emblem :D (Editing to note; I prefer to collect up the emblems, the combined effect is over 2k in xp and a full refill on my energy daily)
