Not enough blue elements, again.

While you guys are working on new resources (animals, and such), could you please give us one more variety of rock?
Red, green and sparkly elements all have a corresponding rock resource, so that we can mine for what we need; why doesn't blue?

Thanks for all the other Glitchy greatness!

  • Get blue from beryl.

  • The problem is that beryl is really mostly for red. Just like dulite is for green and sparkly is for sparkly. There are many times that I have close to 5000 red and close to zero blue elements in my element bag. If I mine and grind beryl, often many red elements are wasted.

Every alchemical compound (except Groddlene) needs blue. I can't make copper, or EHSP, or Molybdenum, or no-no, or butterfly milkers, or tin, or a whole host of things without SOME blue.

All I'm asking is that the poor blue element gets the same treatment that the other 3 have: a rock resource that is predominately blue elements.

Donate them to a shrine or disperse for XP. They don't have to wasted.

Most things in Glitch are abundant and everything is easy to get. Everything is available to everyone.

If we had no choices to make at all there wouldn't be  a game to play.

  • Yeah I always get stuck without having any blue too and there is no rock that produces blue predominantly.

  • Yes, but what will we call this blue rock?
I propose Grendalite. Because of the whole water association with Grendaline.
And it should probably be a sedimentary (striated) rock for difference of appearance, and owing to the way sedimentary rock is formed.
I further suggest it should appear near coasts and bogs, but also some mountainous areas, to tie in with the whole flooding during the Age of Grendaline alluded to in the Tower mythos.

  • See, I always run out of shiny before I run out of any other element, even with all that shiny rock to mine.

But, I like Crashtestpilot's ideas for a blue rock.  On those recommendations alone +1.

Also, you should be able to make bluing from it.  In the real world, liquid bluing whitens stuff, but in Ur it would...  I don't know, but we need bluing!

  • I love this idea.  It totally irks the OCD in me that yields of the different elements aren't balanced (i.e. red is, on average, far more common than blue).  Some balance, please!

  • I agree, it's very upsetting to have to throw away many red elements in order to get a bit of blue. We should totally have another rock which blue is the main element!<3

  • Rhonda, I will usually donate my red elements, if I happen to notice that I have close to 5000 before I begin to grind, but it drives me crazy to have an abundance of red, green and sparkly and no blue to use them with. Is it wrong to want to use Ur's resources efficiently?

CrashTP: Before, I didn't care what the blue element's rock looked like; I just wanted one. Now, I would be bothered if the design didn't have at least some of your ideas incorporated into it. Thanks. XP

     +1 to Bluing!

Yep, Aurora D. I totally understand. It's my Glitchy OCD that made me post this.
