Accidentally feeding things to pigs

is not fun. Would it be possible to restrict it to only things they should (read: plop-producing) eat? Those pigs have no appreciation for the fine taste of Focusing Orbs.

  • I cannot feed my focusing orb to my pig. You sure you didn't feed it a bubble?

The only things listed are the things they will eat. I don't think what they eat should be limited to what makes plop produce.

  • Hm, it might have been bubbles. But still, who says I want to feed a pig 200 bubbles?

I mean, I appreciate the level of keyboardability in the game, but misclicks are seriously depressing. Opening up 4 im windows in the process of trying to mine is not good for my lone-wolf silent-but-deadly aroma.

    I mean persona.

  • Oh, I know you may not want to feed them 200 bubbles (would that make the pig float?). And yea, misclicks are not fun. I just think it's interesting (and useful in some circumstances) that you can feed them other things (but not everything!).

Some people feed them other things before they have remote herdkeeping if they aren't much of a veggie farmer, just to keep them alive (I fed mine planks and grain). I can't see a person in the bogs that primarily farms herbs to particularly want veggie seeds, unless they have a friend to send them to, or they don't mind the community gardens. And then if you feed them 30 tomatoes on accident, you're not going to get the 10 seed packets anyway; you'll just get one.

Perhaps a confirmation window, like what was added to the shrines, would be in order for this issue (though I don't know we'd want the game too window heavy).

When it comes to the mining, double click your pick in your inventory, rather than try clicking on the rock itself, if there are very many people right there. It is much faster at picking up on the rock and removes all other accidental IM/headstone reading issues (though it doesn't play to the keyboardability).

  • I'd rather see something like a limit on how many of an item you can feed to a pig (no more than 10 at a time, for example) than a confirmation window, though something like "hey man, are you sure this is good for a pig's digestive system" would work too.

I haven't even gotten into herdkeeping, I've just noticed as I wander about petting/nibbling I tend to get ahead of myself and watch them chomp away at my precious, precious inventory.

    I'll try the picky-clicky, thanks!

Someday, pig, I'm going to be able to fillet you like a tauntaun and take back what's mine. Sleep lightly, my friend.

  • I've accidently fed a pig hundreds of grains by mistake, because the arrow lands on the box that shows the total number of the items. It's pretty easy to double or triple click and feed a pig everything you have of the item you are trying to feed them.

It would be good to have the default location of the arrow be on "just one"; rather than "ALL" Or not in an active box at all.

It would also be nice to have the default number that shows up in the numeric box be "1" or "0."
