Question about hoarding and auctions....

Hi all, I'm a bit of a hoarder and after watching Hoarding on tv last night I decided to clean house before the Glitch police condemned my home!  Not to mention the Horrible lag that makes me dread entering my house.  I have so much stuff that I couldn't even begin to count it and it would take days to transport of it to the vender.  Can I put it up for auction from my home or do I have to have it in my inventory?  (which would Suck!)  Any and all suggestions welcome.

  • Unfortunately, I believe you do have to have it in your inventory to list it on the auctions.  However, it doesn't really take that long to pick stuff up, and then auction it. It gets taken out of your inventory as soon as you list it.

  • You have to have the item in your inventory, but this website  http://gas.tsak.net/ will help you sell all your items.

It looks in your bags and see's if said items are there and then will auto put them up for auction. I recently did exactly what you are talking about, it takes awhile to do. But my house is all clean now.

  • You have to have an item in your inventory to post it for sale on the auction pages. You could keep 2 browsers or browser windows open (1 to the game where you are signed in and at your home and 1 to the auction site), pick a pile of things up in your house, change to the other browser and put it all up for sale, then when you return to your house the items for sale will be gone from your inventory.

  • Thanks all, I was afraid of that.  :(  Sigh, guess I should learn to just sell it when I get it.  ;)

  • Be careful when auctioning it to set it to a reasonable price.  Otherwise it will all end up as a huge mass of messages in your mailbox.  To cycle around yet again in your inventory.

  • ... which is exactly why I suggested some way to search completed auctions for recent market prices.

  • Putting things in bags reduces the lag considerable.

  • I don't suppose it would be a great idea to put 40,000 bottles of butterfly milk on the market, would it!  I guess it's to the vender I go.  :)  One pile down, goodness knows how many more to go...............
