The seconds are ticking away as we come down to the final moments of this first Glitch Election.
Once a front runner, the Alpaca has dropped to Third Place. The two current leaders, The Sloth and the Fox, have their merits. The Sloth is excellent at slowness and the Fox, when not eating chickens, comes in a variety of colors.
But today friends I make this last minute appeal on behalf of that most excellent member of Class Mammalia, The Alpaca.
Rather than listening to what I have to say, I thought you might like to see an excerpt from my recent interview with Alberto Pacalini, Chairman of The Alpaca Benevolent Society.

Q: Alberto, is there any information about Alpacas you feel the general public is missing?
A: Oh certainly. Of course most people know that Alpacas are a great source of wool, that they are soft and cuddly, and that most Alpacas speak at least 3 languages. But what most people aren't aware of is that Alpacas have WAY MOAR magical powers than unicorns.
Q: But I thought...
A: Of course you did! Like I said, most people have no idea how magical Alpacas are. Another thing people don't know is how generous Alpacas can be. Most people don't know this, but many many many years ago a group of Alpacas noticed that folks in colder climates were freezing their butts off. So the Alpacas got together and magically invented wool, taught people all about it and now it's everywhere. Even other animals have gotten in on it these days.
Q: I had no idea, wow. Now as you know the Alpaca is one of the Animals up for election in Glitch.
A: Yes we are following the race quite closely. We don't like to make a lot of phony campaign promises like so many of the animals do, so we'll just say that if elected, we'll see to it that every Glitchen who wants it will have free access to an endless supply of...

As I mentioned above it is only an excerpt of the interview, but I think you can imagine where he was going with this and what it could mean if an Alpaca is indeed elected.
Finally, Mr. Pacalini was kind enough to provide this link to a short Election Jingle funded in part by Alpaca PAC:

Please, if you make one more vote in this election, choose the magical multi-lingual Alpaca!

The polls have closed and it is now official that Sloth and Fox have emerged victorious. Aplaca's spokesanimal released this statement to the press:
"Alpaca is thrilled to have participated in this sometimes heated contest and wishes the best to both Sloth and Fox as we move ahead, working together to build the future of Urth."
