Hat hair! And worse -- hat baldness!!

Glitch has so many cute hats but why do Glitchen have to go bald to wear most of them? I would love to have one of the jaunty new pirate hats perched on my Shirley-Temple hairstyle, but noooooo! The hair disappears when I put on the hat.

Even the mini-antlers, which would look cute poking out of this hairstyle, don't superimpose but instead poke out from a bare skull. :-(((((

The miner's hat does work with this hairstyle except that it flattens it down at the edges. Please work on making Glitchen hats hair-friendly and invent some new ones that don't make us choose hat-or-hair.

  • There are, as of this moment, 33 hairstyles (not including baldness).  It takes at least an hour of work per hairstyle to make a single hat work with it correctly.  I counted 204 hats in the wardrobe, though that does admittedly include full-head masks.  Either way, it's a huge number of hours for them to put in, which is why it takes a long time for it to happen.

  • My octopus hat does work with hair, BUT....when you jump, you can see that you're actually bald right under the hat.

  • I agree it would take a long time to retrofit 204 hats. I think just a few hats that work with my hair would be a big improvement.

  • I agree! At least the antlers should work with hair... they look awful on a bald head :(

  • Alyx Sands I have that same problem! At least my bangs show up with the octopus.

  • Heya! So, this is pretty much known and unavoidable for some combinations at the present time. Sorry!

Alyx Sands, Knitomaton- strange, wasn't able to reproduce 'temporary baldness' when jumping with an octopus hat. Seems ok to us.

  • Well you're losing money, Tiny Speck.  I liked the pirate dress costumes but being forced to choose between the lovely hat and hair made me decide not to buy one at all.

  • Thanks, got it! Wardrobe can get that partially bald head taken care of. :)

  • And... the octopus-triggered baldness is taken care of. :) Good catch!

Regarding the hat and hair conflicts, we're constantly working towards improving the current system and will most certainly be introducing hats that work with more hair styles in the future. Until then, there are a lot of combinations that should work - hopefully you can find one that suits your tastes.

  • OMG, I can't wait to log in so I can see that my Stanley has finally stopped his terrible hair-eating habit! Thank you, sugarQb!

(But how embarrassing to be the example of baldness! Woe! *staples hand to forehead*)

  • Don't worry Jennyanydots. On closer inspection, you are even more bald than I thought.

  • Dear devs, thanks for fixing the baldness-alas, it's still there in my case-maybe because it's a different hairstyle? Baldie

(Or maybe I have to smack George. Hair-eating cephalopods are a nuisance sometimes!)

  • Octopus-triggered baldness is such an embarrassing condition! I'm so glad that TS was able to develop an award-winning octopus/hair system. No one can tell it isn't my hair and octopus... because they are my hair and octopus!

    I'm not just a spokesglitch, I'm also a client.

  • I agree we need hair to show under hats.  :: nods ::

Glad to see the staff is very slowly working on this. =)

Keep up the good work art team.  :: cheers on ::
