Go to the vanity and wardrobe and pick out new clothes and facial features. :) You can access it from the home page. The Glitches are pretty much genderless little doll bodies that you just put hair and eyes and clothes on to make look one gender or another (or neutral!). A la Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head.
I think you could use a meaner nose. And maybe smaller eyes. Some clothes /face combinations look more masculine or feminine - so try different shirts on. Or you could just put a mask on and no one would know!
Okay thanks. I downloaded the new version of Firefox since the game recommended it (though I'll probably regret it later :D ) . And I was kicked out of the initial character creation, so I thought I got cut off a few steps early or something.
If you're looking for changes to body type... there are none; all Glitches look fairly effeminate. The muttonchops go a pretty long way towards obvious masculinity tho ;)
You are lucky, you know! When I first started playing kingdom of loathing, I accidentally made a male character, and, as it turned out, the only thing I could do was wait until I stumbled onto the sex-change booth in the sleazy back alley! It all worked out in the end, but you kids today don't know how lucky you've got it!! ;D
Eta: apologies for necroing this finely buried thread - my phone decided to show me an old cache when I reloaded forums. CARRY ON!!!
I agree with Shagbark, I ADORE that Glitches are not specifically "male" or "female"
As a genderfluid person I find this a rarity in games where you have to create a little persona, and it makes me feel much happier playing.
