A prediction about imagination and upgrades

Right now more than a few people are, or have been, grousing about having to do the whole imagination for cards thing.

I predict that in two weeks or so people will be racking up imagination like crazy and, having bought all the cards they can, they will be complaining that they have all this imagination with nothing to spend it on!

  • Agreed :) I'm finding imagination to be way easier to earn than xp was (or maybe I'm just more motivated to earn imagination since we can actually get something out of it besides leveling).

  • Uh-huh!  And then!  And then the Devs will say, "Hang on!  We've got something cool in the pipes you can spend that imagination on!  Just be patient!"

  • What about restoring house stuff?
That's how it's basically worked with XP too. "I'm Level 60 and I'm really bored cause I can't get any XP!"

  • Complaints will happen AFTER the new housing stuff appears.  After we've bought all the housing upgrades too, THEN we'll complain and whine LOTS.

  • We could probably start a pool to bet on when we see the first thread complaining that there's too much iMG and nothing more to buy.

  • Actually, if I'm not mistaken, there's no limit on how many Quoin Multiplier cards you can have, or Brain Capacity ones either, so there's always those, plus Energy Tank cards, Get Out of Hell Free cards, and Reshuffle Cards. I'm sure there'll be more cards tossed our way as the game progresses onwards and upwards, so there'll be stuff to spend the iMG on.

  • Brain Capacity is (according to stoot) supposed to be capped at 60

  • Yeah that makes me a sad panda. I was looking forward to grinding brain capacity well over 100.

  • So, conceivably, it could be possible to run out of cards to buy?

Someone's going to be first to hit that achievement - start buying!

  • Quoin limit is still infinite as far as I know ;)

  • there will probably always be Reshuffles and Get out of Hells. There might be infinite brain capacitys too.

  • No AC2k, five posts above someone let you know the brain capacity limit will be 60... xD

  • Personally, I appreciate the whiners and complainers because they give the butt-kisser side of me a convenient pedestal from which to proclaim my extreme self-righteousness.

  • I think house building will make for a voracious iMG sink, with exponential curves, e.g. the 5th large garden & the land in your back yard to put it upon.

  • Based on testing costs, I don't think resources will be much of a problem xP When I placed one the price DID go up. But only by I think it was 15%. Even compouding the way things do in glitch it won't get too ridiculous. Since even with the full amount of land we have for testing I think you'd be hard pressed to squeeze in more than 6 large herb gardens. At that point the sixth garden would be only 2011 imagination or theresabouts.

To buy the extra land to put it on may be quite the imagination sink though ;)

  • Based on the warnings that the prices were way lower than they expected them to be when the housing rolls out, I suspect housing and land will create just as many threads of unhappiness as conversion to imagination.

All of the test screens have been saying that things will cost more when it's for reals.

  • So pumped to be getting iMG back as a refund for brain capacity. Now that I know there is a cap I will avoid those brain cards like the plague. Save me a lot of iMG in the process too

  • Actually, Windborn, the only times such warnings came up were for restoration and expansion projects and the resources needed to complete them. And based on the price of most static, single offer upgrade cards (Basically all except energy, brain, quoin multiplier, GooHF, and reshuffle) , the current resource prices are pretty spot on.

Not that it's not subject to change of course. I'm just saying no such warnings were given for the placing of the resources themselves. Therefore, I have to go on the info we've been given, since they haven't said it will change. Though it is entirely possible they'll just multiple all the costs we've seen by ten ;) Not that that would bother my balance any.
