most expensive auction item

just an idle query...anyone know what the single most expensive auction item was in, like, ever?

  • The really expensive items are 'auctioned' in the marketplace forum.   Someone is currently offering millions of currants and goods for a Yeti doll.

  • Yeah, I know that..was just curious about within the auction mechanism itself.. :-)

  • Dolls can go on the auctions -- those are probably the highest priced items I have seen there.

  • I'd have to say the more expensive GNG auctions are the biggest I've seen. I think I saw one that actually sold at 777k. What a waster in listing fees ;)

This app shows the highest auction items and the glitchen with the highest ammount of currants total in the auction and the glitchen with the most items in auctions. (Also has a great auction helper that I use for EVERY auction!)

  • My bet would be for the net that Rube accidentally gave someone in a trade (who then put it up on auction) but it's been so long ago that I can't remember who got it or how much it was on the auction for lol

  • sgjo, that was katlazam who posted it. And I'm pretty sure she listed it high enough so as *not* to sell but to only show it. It was in the pre-fee days.
    eta: Here's the story.
