"Stout tree number 5"?!? Was I hallucinating?

So, there i was, happily wandering through the Ancestral Lands to get my completist badges. I was obviously quite in a hurry - so much that I didn't stop to examine a strange tree I stumbled upon, thinking I could always check it out on the Wiki. But it isn't there. Nor mentioned anywhere in the forums. So what did I see?

The only thing I half-remember is noticing a strange-looking tree and see it called "Stout tree number 5", or something to that effect.
I don't think I was hallucinating... can anybody confirm and/or explain the sighting?

  • Maybe it was a paper tree, they are a the only species named by the Gods.

  • Paper trees indeed have names, and it was almost certainly "Stoot tree number 5" (1 through 4 are also out there somewhere).

  • For a while, I seemed to be the only one naming trees in the Ancestral Lands: as a result, there were (and perhaps still are?) Stoot Trees, Numbers 1 through 9 :)

  • Other trees I have noticed in the Ancestral Lands:
    Bumpkin Tr D: "Blanky"
Distant Drag B: "The 3rd Tree of Stoot"
Distant Drag D: "Stoots Tree Number Six"
    Empty Via 2: "YOURS"
    Languid Line W: "Murdoch"
    Naif Lane S: "Joe Blow"
Putter Track D: "Number Two Paper Tree of Stoot"
Ramble Way 4: "The Fourth Tree of Stoot"
Stake Claim Rd E: "100 percent post consumer waste"
Swain Way 6: "Stoot was here first"

    Eastern Approach, Uralia: "Leafletter"
    Lowland Slough, Shimla Mirch: "Steve"

I'm not sure if "Stoot was here first" constitutes the first tree of Stoot - let's find them all, Glitchen!

  • It is rumored that if you map out all of stoot's trees, if forms a symbol of the Illuminati.

  • Pst! Lord Bacon-o, there is no such thing as the Illuminati and the symbol resulting in mapping out all of stoot's trees is not its symbol. Fnord!

  • Paper trees are the only trees with names and cannot be renamed by players.

  • Mal'akh, I like your sig but I worry that it is part of the Illuminati conspiracy.
Wait. Some is knocking on my door. Be right back.

  • @Innie, I'm actually considering using it only when I'm posting something "in-character" as I have had three people bash me for using it. Sad.

@topic, I wonder which staff member has gone around renaming the trees outside the Ancestral Lands... or is that what stoot has been doing recently.
