avatar building blocks

I can't get this idea out of my head. So tell me why it's no good and I will speak of it no more. Even though I will still think it's cool and nobody understands me. But I won't keep bringing it up at the dinner table, so whatever! :p

If you could turn your avatar temporarily into a geometric shape--like Tetris shapes: So the mini-game is, you and a group of other players form a base, and then each player takes turns jumping up to the top of the shape pile and making him/herself into a block/shape, and in that way you build a tower. Then maybe you take turns each de-blockifying and jump out of the tower (living Jenga, right?) and see if you can upset the balance of the tower. Or the purpose of creating the stack is to get at some prize way high up that everyone in the pile can share in.

Even better--depending on how advanced your blockification skill was, you would stay in block shape a limited amount of time, along with an obligatory cooling off period to keep you from blockifying immediately again. So the tower would constantly be losing blocks, making the stacking more challenging. Or you could strategize on how to build the tower based on how many "one minute" vs. "20 second" skill players you have handy.

  • I love the idea of having my avatar turn into a geometric shape to play a mini-game with others.

  • This has... actually been suggested a few times before. In fact, other people got a little more extreme with their ideas and made a list of shapes avatars can change into. XD Marble statues? Piles of chewed gum? Tetris shapes? The possibilities are as endless as the giants' imaginations! ^^
