Butler, butler, who's got the butler?!

Any new news on our Butlers? The tease was a couple weeks ago now and I'm chomping at the bit to have my own dear Butler!
Please, please, oh please!

  • I want the gardening helper that was mentioned in passing one day.  It's the one part of Glitch that annoys me because it's too much like FV.

  • My b0tl3r Alfred has proven to be an indispensable ally in my fight against crime. Glitcham needs all the help it can get.

  • Will the butler be able to greet guests on my street? I have a gnome but he's not particularly gracious. A greeter that is a little more gracious and feminine would be perfect.

  • Two weeks.

  • Trust me genjibeat, it's much better to use The Giantdamned Batterflyman as my nom de scourge purging...and then be able to slip the cowl off and go on with being malo.

I seriously doubt if Ur Life and Casualty ® would continue our relationship should they find out that I spend evenings giving ne'er-do-wells their comeuppance under the auspices of a sekrit identity.

  • When the butler returns, expect:

    Better. Stronger. Faster...

Wait, that's not what I meant.

That test showed us lots of things that needed fixing and reworking. So, not yet!

  • Butlers are coming soon. Really. I promise.

(just don't ask me to define "soon")

  • Soon = 2 weeks.

  • Huh.  My understanding was that soon was sooner than not yet and two weeks was a much more definite version of soon.  So, soon would be not quite not yet but a little more ambiguous than two weeks.

In other words:  Two weeks == definitely soon.  And soon == almost not yet.  Right?

Either way, two staff posts for one question bodes quite well indeed!

  • "Soon" has been a favorite word for many of us.  I have had fun with it for at least 3 years now.  it has many meanings but mostly it means "Not Yet".  Long ago in another MMo it came to mean "Wednesday" unless it meant "Next Month".  Here at Glitch it may mean "In Two Weeks" unless it means "Friday" or maybe even "Wednesday" or...

@Tibbi- I hadn't heard of that, does it garden for you?  If so, that would be  great!  I have a boatload of plots in my yard!

  • Are they going to be customized  (appearance wise?)
Posted 6 months ago by Jessenya Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I would guess so, Jess, as different staff members' butlers had different appearances during the test.
