  • +1 For Innie!
Let's not emphasize the differences but emphasize the things we have in common :)

  • Haha I love the acronym

  • I made a little poem,
Though I should go to bed.
But for those who want me to show em,
    This is how it read:

    Love
     I love my wellies
    And my yellow hat
    I love a little naughtiness
    Yes I love my cat

    I love a little hugging
    I love some kissing too
    I love this friendly world
    Of Glitches like you!

    I made this little poem
In a little bit of time
    Now I go to bed
    I'm done with this rhyme.

    Nighty all!

  • It dawned on me while reading this thread that people and society are kind of a living proof of chaos theory.  We are so very very similar, yet with very minuscule changes we vary so widely that it's close to impossible to predict.

It's a shame that such minor differences can create such a huge wedge between people.

  • If it were not for all of those differences, the world would be one nothing more than monochrome and monotone. Those differences are what I try to stop and admire, daily.  It is what makes every single person absolutely beautiful, and makes the world go around.

  • I didn't mean to imply that those differences were a bad thing.   They make the world interesting :)

  • Oh, I didnt think you meant that at all :)  Your post actually made me warm and fuzzy, which is why I posted what I did.

    PEOPLE are beautiful :)

  • Oh! You know what, there's a group just like this already in existence! The QUILTBAG group! We are awesome people that are just people and completely equal to everyone else, and everyone is welcome, WITH ONE EXCEPTION. Only people not welcome are those that choose to believe we aren't all equal. :D

  • Two suggestions...

The first P shouldn't be Perfect. No one is perfect.

The second P, imo, should be Players because the Acronym is PEOPLE and having one of the Ps be Persons doesn't sit well with me. Seems redundant.

  • This undermines my creed that no-one is perfect (least of all myself). Hmm. Will have to do some deep philosophising.

Edit: Forgot to say (sorry) that I liked the rest of you rationale though

  • I see what you are saying Mr. Dawgg and Twoodle.  However, I disagree. I think everyone is created perfectly, just the way they are.  Maybe its the definition of perfect that is different ;)  I didnt say flawless.... :)

  • We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly - Sam Keen

  • @ Mr Dawgg and Twoodle: I believe that in this case the word perfect is being used as a philosophical statement meaning that we are all perfect in all of our imperfection. The idea being that we are fine just the way we are and are, in fact, perfect in the way we fit in with All That Is. In order to be perfect as you are describing, Mr. Dawgg, someone would have to set a standard for perfection, which of course is an entirely subjective ideal.

  • Angel and Riverwalker............thank you :)

  • @Riverwalker -- I remember having a discussion several years ago with my first boyfriend, and for some reason it just stuck with me. We were talking about this whole perfection thing and we concluded that it's our flaws that make us beautiful. :)
Posted 16 months ago by Cerulean Subscriber! | Permalink
  • It is our flaws that make us perfect....but that's just me.

And Cerulean, I wanted to make sure that you knew that this group is not against your group, in any way, shape, or form.

I just wanted a group out of love, and nothing else :)  More like a partner if you wish. *hugs*
Posted 16 months ago by Innie✿, Obviously Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Let me say, I love this group and I love the acronym.  But I would never consider myself perfect even my flaws aren't perfect.  So I don't expect any of you to either lol
Posted 16 months ago by Laurali Subscriber! | Permalink
  • *hug* Lol I understand, Innie. At first I was confused about the group but I concluded that was what you were looking for. I wanted to clarify for everyone, again, that they are also welcome in my group, as well. :)

I'm going to join once I figure out the groups I need to "cut out." I've hit max groups again... -___-"
