Not sure if I'm asking something that's completely obvious, or alternatively that hasn't yet been figured out, but I'll give it a go!
Right now (BLV, sigh), my pet rock is telling me that "Whoa! You're learning super fast. Keep in mind, if you switch skills you'll lose your super speed."
That's because I went to a shrine and donated stuff and then spent the favour, with a message telling me that however-long had been deducted from my learning time.
In a short while, the in-game day will roll around to tomorrow. When that happens, if I go back to my Skills page, I'll no longer get that message, or have my little pet rock working quite so furiously away: it'll just go back to normal, and if I want to make him sweat again, I have to donate-and-spend again, with another however-long being deducted from my learning time.
My question: is the super fast, flying beads of sweat thing just an nice bit of flavour, or does it actually change the speed of learning? Is it part of the however-long that I'm told is deducted, or is it in addition? If I don't play all day and then only log on at (say) 11:30pm game time, is it worth my while to donate my daily max, or will it all just get wasted when the new day starts and things slow down again?
Am I over-thinking this?
