Bug: crop garden re-setting back to dry patches.

I don’t know whether this is classed as a ‘bug’ or not, but I thought I’d bring it to your attention anyway.

Last night I made a crop of 28 x spinach plants. Only a few minutes away from being able to be harvested, I decided to leave my house in order to place some crops on the street for the Piggys to enjoy.

Upon entering my house again, my entire garden had reverted back to 28 x dry patches – not a spinach crop to be seen! I had to re-start the process all over again.

My Piggys were NOT amused and are currently seeking recompense. I may have a full on pork revolt when I log back in to my house later.

  • I had 12 patches of potatoes and tomatoes disappear overnight...not exactly the same situation...but, between log-ins all my crops vanished...I'm more concerned about the loss in curants...than the loss in time at this point...

  • Same here with a herb garden.  Can't remember everything that was in it but definitely included the last of my rookswort (3 patches), which I would appreciate the seeds for at least.

  • It would be good to hear from staff whether those of use who recently lost crops or herbs when the dark patch bug was fixed, will be compensated for their loss or not, please.

  • That's not a bug. It's what happen when you don't sit on them. I planted stuff last night, that had I not logged in this morning, they would have vanished. That's why I keep harping on a visual NUMERICAL timer for crops planted at home.

  • I've left stuff in my garden and not logged on for a couple days.  When I come back the crops are dry, but one watering revives them.

If crops are disappearing entirely, it's a bug.

  • Not true, Jarhaven.  Crops are not supposed to disappear unless harvested.  This is not Farmville.

  • I know nothing of Farmville. I do know that when they're drying, if that blue bar is empty, then they are gone forever. If there is still a bit in the blue bar, then like WindBorn, a watering revives them. I've lost many crops like this, be it days or even hours between logging in.

  • I remember that Spinach is a fairly fast crop, but does require more than the initial watering, so that could be the reason.

  • Jarvhaven, that really should not happen.  The crops should not be gone forever unless you pick them and eat them.  If it happens to you, that is a bug you should probably report.

Aishling, spinach grows super fast and shouldn't need extra watering if you water when you plant it.

  • Hey all- last week we did a rebuild on homes, which in the early stages broke some of your gardens. I'm afraid there was no way to reverse or roll it back to the state before. If you want to follow up with a help case to us with details, we can take care of items from there.

  • Thanks for getting back to us on this kevbob.  Help case now filed.  I'd actually forgotten that the ladybird even existed and was thinking that this bugs forum was the right place to report bugs.
