"Auction" enhancement

I really like the idea that Glitch has enough going on that it has a little functioning economy.  It's close to impossible to really do everything: much more efficient to say "I am a food maker" and sell your excess to people who need food or "I am a miner" and buy all your earthshakers from professional bartenders.

The auction house really stands in the way of this.  Auctions are already half of a commodities exchange.  Why not take them all the way there.

Every existing "auction" is more like a sell order.  What I'd suggest is that there be a separate "buy order"

For example: "I need 100 chunks of sparkly at 5c per."  Any sell orders that match the buy order get fulfilled at the stated sell prices (so if there were two auctions for sparkly: 50 for 4.8c each and 25 for 4.7, the 25 and then the 50 would get filled, leaving a buy order for 25 chunks at 5c per)

The exchange would list at least the last price that an item had sold for, and maybe how much activity there'd been recently.

Finally, street spirits aren't players.  So, change the "street price" of items from a fixed value to a decaying average of their exchange rate, so that vendors remain a sort of discount house for bulk commodities.  That is: depending on their specialty, they buy stuff for .5-.8 of the exchange price, and then sell for 1.2-2.0.  They're there to fill in when the markets can't.
