Senior Mending Manager badge

And I quote the definition of the badge:

"Used a Tinkertool to repair 127 cooking tools from their half-life to a fully-repaired state"

Soooo, does this mean our cooking tools have to be at least half worn out and not totally broken down as it used to be (I think?) for us to fix them and the repair to count towards the badge?

This is serious you guise, we need an official answer!

  • That would be nice since it'll take longer to break them with the upgrade cards!

  • I can't break some...they get to 0.5 wear and won't let me use them :(

  • I'm not sure about the question. Although, it's good they bumped dwon this badge from 251 to 127 because that was pretty high. Just out of wonder I thought and looked through players profile who earned the 251 badge. It has been removed and replaced with the newer one.

  • @ awesome, yes! I ran into that wee problem too,and resolved it like this:
    1. do a very quick partial repair,
    2. look at how many uses are on the tool,
    3. if there is a whole number of uses, then always make an even number of items,
    4. if there is a number which ends in .5 , then make 1 item first, and then always an even number of items.
It also helps if you look at how many uses you have, then make 1 of the items you are wanting to make,
then check number of uses again, the difference is how many 'uses' each item costs to make, and then you can adjust how many you make at a time so you don't end up at 0.5 uses left.
~for some reason it won't allow you to use that last .5 of a use, my guess is that there is no such thing as .5 use, and if you want to use something one more time you'll need to have one more use left to do it?
    Hope that helps! =)

  • @ Pattonage, I guess you could look at it like this:
you have to use your tool until it is 'half' used, and then repair it?! =S

  • @ ~Scilly~
This is my guess too, I'd just like to hear from an official source. :$

  • Testing now. Gotta make 5304 flour!

That's 26,520 grain, which is 106 bushels. Which I might not have. GRRR!

  • Not going to be able to finish this game day. Hopefully will get some time tonight.

However, I have a ridiculous amount of tasty pasta.

  • Well this is sad. I bought 54 broken tools yesterday and repaired them all and I still don't have the badge even though the requirements have been lowered. I fail as a cook.

  • Pattonage: Correct, cooking tools will need to be repaired from 50% (or less) to 100% in one go for them to count towards the "Kitchen Division" achievements. However, currently there's a bug with it, so for the next hour or so any repairs to 100% count :)

Thanks for pointing it out - we'll fix! But note that you don't need to break any cooking tools to get these achievements.

  • Something's not working correctly. I had the assistant badge previously (got it after the switchover to bars broke 3 of my things), so I should've needed 104 repairs to get to Senior Mending Manager.

Made at least 116 batches of flour (51 or 52 at a time) on my non-upgraded knife and board, taking it down to 48 or 49 percent on the bar each time.

Also took my fry pan saucepan and awesome pot below 50% 16 times between them, making 560 batches of Tasty Pasta.

    Still no new badge. :(

    Bug submitted.
