Items/skills relationship

At the beginning I was pretty lost, only after learning tons of skills did I understand the purpose of vapor, bubbles, etc. I like that Glitch is a kind of crazy, but I would have appreciated some kind of "advice"; for example if you have tons of elements, maybe the Magic Rock can suggest learning Intermediate Admixing.

  • There are quite a few abilities with no immediate benefit to gameplay. For example, I can learn smelting to turn my formerly useless ore into useless metal bars. There is no gaming benefit to me having learned to make bars until I get much further down into the trees.
It would be nice to be able to make "fun" or "beneficial" items at low levels of every skill. Allow low-level tinkerers to make items (knife & board for example) that can be used by the other skills they're are learning. Just as cooking allows you to craft food at even the lowest level, other skills should allow you to create items with a real use right off the bat so that people can get a feeling for what they might like to push for in later levels.
