What are the funniest/most clever names for animals you've encountered through your travels? I came across a piggy named Pjork today, and just about lost it. XD
I really don't know if I can top that one.
I tend to name my pigs after cuts or dishes.
I think my favorite pig name is daeji bulgogi.
But that's because it's delicious.

I still think that my favorite one that I ever saw was a chicken who was named "Bitch Ass Chicken." I assume that the inappropriate nature of its name is probably the reason I haven't seen it around since that day.
(I'm not going to get in trouble for repeating that word in the forums, am I?)
Ha, I saw the hip-hop pigs, too! I do rename animals when they have names like "sjksjksj", but I always leave the clever ones. :) Just imagining the Notorious PIG sippin' champagne when he's thirstay cracks me up.
Notorious PIG
Piggie Smallz
Tupork Shakur
Ham Master Jay
Sir Oinks-a-Lot
Feel free to join in. There's plenty of Hip Hop Piggy names here: cynwise.posterous.com/on-hu... - the original post was for WoW hunter pets, but Ur needs more hip hop pigs.
-Kevin Bacon
-Piggy Sue (a reference to either the Buddy Holly song or the 80's movie, "Peggy Sue Got Married")
-Jon Hamm 'n Eggs (of "Mad Men" and "30 Rock" fame)
-Russell HAMmond (Billy Cruddup's character in "Almost Famous")
-Porker Posey (a reference to indie movie queen, Parker Posey)
There is a chicken named Dinner and one named "after your mother" on my street, and a butterfly named Juicy Fruit. I also ran across a chicken named KFC somewhere. My chickens are Lady Giblets and Mrs. Rufflefeathers.

I'm considering a song about naming piggies. Anyone got any more particularly fabulous examples to add here? (My contribution: I have chickens named Hen Meditation, Countess Cluckula, Jimi Hendrix and Eggwina.)
I love seeing the theme names, I usually don't mess with them.
When a piggy is just Piggy though, I use the list of Eddie Izzard names that Englebert Humperdink rejected.
I haven't been nibbling or petting any pigs other than my own, lately. ^^; But my piggie names are:
Hammibal
Hamlet
Hamton
Hoggy Howser MD
Porker Lewis
James Hogfield
My current chickens have very mundane names, but I released a couple out into the world (a long time ago) named Mother Clucker, Clucking Ridiculous, Stupid Mother Clucker, etc.

I don't pay enough attention to the names of animals on the street, must start doing that more!
Love the scientist & hip hop ones, & Porker Posey. Cee Lo Grain, Voldepork & Amy Swinehouse amused me no end. Brilliant!
I've named the pigs in my garden Fig, Jig, Sprig & Twig, my chickens are Tandoori & Tikka, & my butterflies are Brandy & Alexander (after the drink made with milk, brandy & cocoa & the Ron Sexsmith/Feist track). I've also named a Butterfly on the street - "Liquid Sky" (after the film, not the record label), a pig - "Patsy Swine" (after Patsy Cline, of course) & a chicken on my street - Gregory Peck.
