Pungent Sunrises - are they broken?

I got Cocktail Crafting II yesterday and thought I'd make a few Pungent Sunrises to see what the effects are. Bizarrely what I observed seemed to be... no effect at all!

I happen to have the seconds going on my screen clock so I was comparing the rate of that with the rate of the skill time counter and could see no discernible difference. Nor did I notice a jump in the remaining number of minutes/seconds at the point of starting/ending the buff. Did I miss it?

Has anyone else seen any actual reduction in their learning time from drinking a Pungent Sunrise?

  • Perhaps you were you already learning as fast you could> It won't override that.

And it's only 90seconds so perhaps you just didn't notice it?

  • They used to work even when you were "learning as fast as you could". That has been nerfed. You can still pick up time quions past that point though, to further speed learning.

  • Ultimately, you're better off donating the learn-speed buff items: they're more valuable in terms of learning time when donated even to the secondary giant than they are when used.  Maybe if timed buffs stacked...

  • +1 on what Yarrow said, which is odd and makes the item useless.

  • @yarrow You are so right! What a shame...

  • It's sort of a standing issue - There's been a serious push to tone down a lot of items, and in the meantime many of them seem to have dropped off of having value.  Being able to stack buffs would help change that.  Honestly, whatever the next trading thing is will also impact that, since the auction house has predictable and simple outcomes.
