For those that don't know Pinterest, it's a bit like tweeting pics, divided into arguments (the name of each board, which can be as many as you desire) that are on a shared platform with a fast single page visibility. You can take other's pins and put them on your own boards, or import them from anywhere with a bookmark bar app.
Pinterest has now got secret boards. I'm pinning all my shots there (with the useful ingame button), as an archive, that can eventually be shared with anyone I wish.
I was just trying to figure out how to transfer my snaps to flickr, but couldn't...is there a way to do this? I'd love to have a way to hold on to my memories, of course a mousepad with Glitch Logo would be more than welcome too...;)
Maybe open your snaps and screen shot the ones you like? I know it's a long work-around, but they'd be saved to your hard drive, then could be uploaded to a photosharing site...dunno if that's too much work, or worth it in the long run, but that's one way it could be done.
Download Hypersnap (www.hyperionics.com/), a quality screenshot program that lets you size and shape your shots. You can save them in several common formats (jpg, etc) and then you have them for any use you want. I'm snapping pics all over Ur. I use this program all the time for screenshots--nothing else. It's a favorite. (I have no connection with Hypersnap, I'm just a really happy user.)
I was under the impression that Pinterest does not store images, it only attaches back to the link (unless you upload individual images). Is this true? I am just wondering if people are pinning their snaps as an archive, will they still be there when the Glitch site shuts down? I tried to find this info online but didn't find anything.
