As previously mentioned on a previous forums - what about group hugging and tree hugging as a skill - perhaps even the ultimate could slug or bureaucrat hugging!
I can firmly get behind the idea of being able to share affection in more ways. Affection as a skill is a brilliant thing and a great way for Glitches to work with one another. That poor blockmaker suffering from a lack of mood and energy from making a new street? Help him out with a hug and maybe an energy-restoring pep-talk.
I realize that the idea of affection as a skill kinda overlaps with the Transcendental Radiation ability of the Meditation line, but I don't see that as a bad thing. Perhaps the ability to use affection skills provides smaller bonuses and *requires* another person to do them, while meditation you can do alone and provides more focused recovery? Or perhaps affection skills could be a requirement for Transcendental Radiation?
Just some thoughts. Still, any implementation of affection as a skill to help and care for others is great by me and a wonderful way to get Glitches socializing with one another.
Yes, I did the Transcendental Radiation thingy in the last game and it lacked pizazz. I wanted everyone to go sparkly (not in the Twilight way) or something! But I think a progressive emo bear goal would be a positive thing overall!
Indeed! Not only are Random Acts of Affection the official best thing ever, but also in a social game like Glitch, being able to help each other out in such a manner could promote the overall sense of community. Some of us(http://alpha.glitch.com/groups/RTJ8116B4VT1C69/) really like to share the love, and it would be nice if we could have some advancement to look forward to. ;) ...I wanna hug a bureaucrat! >.<
