what do you do to make your glitchy day interesting?

as for me I change activities every game day and have humble hobby of collecting dolls.
One day I get cherries, beans and bubbles (allspices I try to take everyday of course), next day I grow herbs in the houses of my friends (guano is provided beforehand), some cristalmalizing there, some blockmaking here and once a glitchweek I visit Neva Neva. I have there the very good and nice company to mine together.
As an expirienced glitchian I am easy-minded about reaching levels. Some days I take more than 30 000 exp by donating, and the other day I sell everything excessive and get 30-50K for my stuff.
Now I have a little break at my office and, missing my Glitch, am writing this essay in the hope that it helps. But I still miss the deepness and brightness of my glitch. Really I think I'm little bit crazy about it.

an' what 'bout you, guys?   :(

  • Next day I play (I'll be baking in a bit, so I'm not sure which Glitch-day that'll be), I'll be opening 200k worth of cubi boxes after saving up forever, so that'll be exciting! :D

  • 200k worth of Cubimal Boxes! Oh-My what a fruitless diversion.

I'm trying to save up my currants for the switch-over to imagination.

So the daily challenge for me is, "How much stuff can i sell to the Tool Vendor today!"
(Someone loaned me their cubimal collection for the trophy, so i no longer need to worry bout buying them.)

  • Shiromisa Kaya, 40 cubimal boxes, I'd love it )))) 40 surprises. perhaps I do it once, though I also have badge with the help of friend ))))

Toonix, what is switch over imagination? Is it worth saving and spending currants?

  • Silly, I'm not going for the fruit trophy, I'm going for the cubi trophy! :D

  • Every day I play Glitch I try to find more of the hidden areas while exploring new lands. I meet lots of interesting people along the way as I slowly level up. I love Glitch!

  • right now it's cubi collecting- the hard way. I know I could probably get a friend to lend me theirs to get the trophy but it gives me something to do. On a good day I can manage six or seven boxes before I get tired of nibbling piggies

  • I don't do anything to make my glitch day more interesting. The game has reached the point that, for me personally, it is exceptionally boring. I only reached that point about two weeks ago though, so I think I have lasted a decent amount of time. Now I simply log on and browse the forums and wait for the big changes. I am sticking around because I enjoyed it enough that I think it will be worth waiting to see what's what.

  • Thanks for the lovely essay and a great topic you have started.

I start my day by reading the forum and finding out what other glitches are doing, tips and tricks, concerns, parties, projects.  Often I'll find something that will take me in a new direction.I like to read about how others play the game.  Often I'll find something I didn't even know was possible.  And I love meeting new friends and talking to old ones.

I like reading other glitches goals and how they are preparing for the new Glitch.  My goal is to level up and then get currents and to be open to  all the unimaginable  and endless opportunities Glitch presents.

May all Glitches be well, happy and peaceful.

  • I usually go mining, and sell sparkly and beryl to the tool vendor, while watching global.

  • I just play Glitch while watching Netflix or Hulu shows on my TV. There's not enough to a casual game like this to just play it by itself. If i've free "lounging" time where i'm not watching TV, then i'll play a real videogame.

  • Collect all the gas in the world, make chicken eggs, give chicken eggs to Humbaba.  Soon I think I'm going to take a break from that and start riding the subway while breaking kitchen tools.

  • I make up little quests for myself. My current quest is to find a rook attack while I'm on a smuggling run, to see if the rook will go after the deimaginator. Not that I have anything against the deimaginators, exactly. I even tried to hug one once.

P.S. Do not try to hug a deimaginator. The second you click on it, hoping for a pop-up list of possible actions, your Glitch will go running over to it and throw the contraband into its grabby little reptilian arms. And then the deimaginator will be all, "Well well! What do we have here?" And you just KNOW it's saying it in a totally annoying smug schoolmarm voice. Which makes you start wondering how you can get a rook to attack it. For example.

Or I'll play under odd restrictions. Can I do what I need to do in a game day without teleporting or taking any right turns?  What is and isn't possible if I spend an hour refusing to interact with any item whose name contains an S? How far can I travel in an hour without jumping or teleporting?

I admit I devote a ridiculous amount of time and energy to gathering useless data and trying to figure out why things work the way they do. At the moment I'm trying to determine the variables that affect the order items appear when you stand on piles of stuff. Why do the piggy feeders change order, even if I don't move as I collect meat from them? If I stand on a pile of 2000 beans and one chunk of sparkly, why does the sparkly move around in the pop-up screen as I pick up individual stacks of beans? Is there any pattern to the way it changes positions in the line-up? And so on.

I also like to play my experimental alt. The idea in that account is to see how far up the levels ladder I can get without accruing any streets on the travel leaderboard. That means never going to any new location. What badges can I still get, even if I only limit myself to visiting one public street and the housing quarters? (I had to have at least ONE street on the leaderboard, otherwise my Glitch would've been unable to learn any skills.) (Okay and then I died. So technically I have TWO streets, bah. But Hell doesn't really count. I mean, it's not like there are tons of resources there or anything.) Playing under that account puts a lot of limits on what I can do, which makes the game more challenging, and also puts me in the position of needing to ask for help from friends, and even, horrors, strangers! -- which is probably good for me. I SUPPOSE.

Wow I wrote a freaking essay. How embarrassing. You have to admit, though, I'm very self-entertaining.

  • @Sirentist: not just self-entertaining! That is extremely impressive and creative!

As for me, I'm trying to level up as far as possible. As a result of that, I'm also concerning myself with having a large amount of currants to tithe those icons.

Joining groups that do things is a good way to spend Glitch play-time as well.

  • Levitation, taking people on teleport trips to fun levitating locations, dropping cubimals, collecting fireflies, pranking people, and collecting meat and milk make up the bulk of my activities. I also like to goof around/roleplay my character a bit for the amusement of others. Sometimes I run a mysterious gameshow.

  • this thread might hold some answers to upcoming changes to the game.
    Things like Imagination are discussed.

    http://www.glitch.com/forum/general/15303/

In a nutshell imagination is replacing our XP and some portion of currant wealth and will be spendable to purchase/imagine more land for ur houseing developement.

*Moehr Ossum showed me some fun things too.
-Have butterflies follow you round by clicking enter near'em; then clicking in local chat box. First time I tried though, the butterfly had me following it. lol
-Going underground. Not sure how to do this yet. I had to follow someone else who was already under.
-Flying continuously without falling. It's kinda tricky, you've got to click on orb while you are levitating. Haven't really got this down either. It's fun following Moehr though, he's pretty good at that. *:)

  • Yesterday I learnt another activity from the first step to the last, and it is mining.
Everyone may ask if I am in right mind to learn mining being at 54 lvl, but I can say, that before, I did not do it propelly, having no proper fun.
    To do it correctly one should;
1: empty almost all the bags in inventory
2: put in some snack, like awsome stew, some butterflie's milk and some meat to get some guano besides
3: sometimes you can take your icons with you to have additional energy, when required.
3.1: flaming humbabas and earthshakers are obligatory
4: mine in turns iron, sparkly and dullite rocks.
5: give from time to time your cominers something like earthshaker or humbaba or stew and bestow random kindness
6: if you have key to Neva Neva door,  go there asking those who hang around if they'd like to follow you to this place.
7: have proper fun everywhere in the caverns and feast eyes on the whole lot of gems you'll get from mining

I made 10 crystalmalizing chambers for donating and happy about it. :)
