Attributes for Editing Forum Posts Missing in IE

I have version 8.0 of Internet Explorer. When I comment in the forums I have no bold, italic, etc. - no ability to edit the attributes of the text or to add links. I know that they are present in other browsers such as firefox. Are you aware of this issue? And will it be corrected in the future?

  • LOL...I had just figured it was the difference in the browsers, and never thought to report it...but when I am at work I only have IE and they don't let us load Chrome...yes, this has been an issue for a while.  Also, it seems that IE doesn't like to update the thread when someone else posts and you reopen it...it still displays what you previously saw (a caching issue, maybe?).  I noticed this on Friday when one of my friends was posting in the groups, and I had to do a manual refresh to see what he posted.  I am so not an IE fan, so I just figured it was typical IE nonsense...

  • So we've got this intentionally disabled for IE. Many things break in the editor with IE to where stuff just wouldn't post, so we have it shut off for those browsers.
