Created by someone with advanced toy-making or magician skills, the wish-dolly grants the maker and any subsequent owner a single wish. This wish is invoked by hugging the dolly. The wish is an item from a random choice of objects much in the same way rube works. The object offered should be something the wisher needs, such as an ingedient to finish a recipe, a tool they haven't got already, a music-block, a key, a wad of cash. The wisher can either accept one of the offered items or decline and wish again later.
If accepted, the cost is 5pts of energy. Like all wishing objects, the dolly has a dark side. It cannot be auctioned or dropped or gifted at a shrine. Once the owner has had their wish the dolly must be passed on to another player. This player cannot have wished on that dolly before (with one notable exception) or be in possession of another wish-dolly. For each minute the dolly is not passed on, the owner loses an energy point. Their status at this point is shown as cursed.
Makers and owners may pass the dolly on to another player without wishing.
The notable exception to this chain of wishers is the maker (the maker's mark is visible in the dolly's name ie 'a dolly made by bluto'). If the doll is passed back to the maker, then the doll is destroyed. However the number of wishes granted by the doll determines a reward for the maker. 1-5 wishes: 100 energy points. 6-20 wishes: 1000 energy points. 21-49 wishes: 10000 curants etc
The top reward, say 50 wishes, is for the doll to become a follower for a limited time. This follower can be used to carry extra items, fetch items from home or do simple tasks such as harvest all the trees on a street (a once per day action). Once its time is up, the doll vanishes and any items carried are deposited at home.
Wish-dollies can only be made by a maker once per glitch calendar month.
