Repairing advanced tools?

Hi everyone!

I'm just beginning tinkering but curious about the energy costs to repair the advanced tools. Is it more economical to do my grinding with a normal grinder for example because repairing the grand ol' grinder costs more energy? I don't have one but I do know that grinder repairing is far cheaper than fancy pick repairing and am wondering if that trend carries on.

Thanks in advance for insight, thoughts and splanks.

  • Well, I'm a Tinkerer 3, and I know the energy costs for repairing keep on going down, and the repair itself is faster. To repair my fancy pick costs a bit more energy and time, but not by a lot.

Also, the 4 tools that were taken off store shelves today are the grand ol' grinder, the Irrigator 9000, the Fancy Hoe, and the Super Scraper. I think they were taken off to soon to be honest, but that's Tiny Speck's decision.

  • Thanks to the rube selling me one I have a grand ol' grinder now. And as feared it is far more costly to repair than the normal one.

    At Tinkering III:
Grinder - 12 units repair for 5 energy, 100 capacity
Grand Ol' Grinder - 12 units repair for 10 energy, 500 capacity

Totally not worth it, glad I didn't pay good currants for one.
