Clothing Dye

I like the idea of being able to dye / custom your own clothes. e.g if your coat is green and yellow but you fancie a change and want blue instead. this could open a new section in alchemy or blending. / a new use for foods. you would have to make the dyes from different foods depending on color schemes. tomatos for red tomato and corn for oranges and such. with different shades depending on the amount of each item you use in ratio to the other. this could open up a new market and a new trend / set of trophies and achievments.

the mechanics could be when you use dye or drop it over clothes you have options if you want the *main color* or secondary color (for small details).

there could be a *dye cleaner* from vendor or to be player made. to turn clothes back to the previous color scheme or the original scheme.

in expantion to this and player interaction. there could be a kind of fun / player action. you could have the option to *throw dye* at another player. like you do with splank / soak. where you dye another players main color for X amount of time or til they clean it this could adapt to houses and animals. but that would probably end in a bit of to much color splashes

  • I think this is an awesome idea!  I am obsessed with the clothes in this game, but I really wish there was more options that appealed to me.  There are not enough clothing outfits that appeal to a more "preppy" style of dress, as opposed to gamer or emo or gothic.  Being able to change the color of clothes would allow there to be several shirt designs for example, and for each one you can choose the color to fit your style.

  • The only issue that I foresee with that idea is that there are already alternate colors of certain items available in the wardrobe, some for purchase.  If the ability to dye clothes so easily became available, those who already purchased those items would question why they had to purchase those colors.  Probably if dye was available for purchase in the wardrobe, this might not be as much of a problem.
