This last test I started seriously participating in projects and I have to say one of the most annoying aspects of it was finding that the blockmaker or fuelmaker you had just bought (at no small expense) had grown legs and ran off. I know that this was in response to the fact that previously once a piece of machinery was placed, that was it. However, I think there can be a happy medium.
I propose that all machinery (including feeders and collectors) be "placeable" by anyone with the engineering skill. Once placed, other players shouldn't be able to remove them (maybe they can ping the player to ask if it can be moved, similar to "knocking"?).
This would help keep the community machine rooms actually full off working machines, projects could have machinery and not have to worry about the machines disappearing, and people could put feeders and collectors in their own houses without worrying about visitors running off with them.
Does anyone have any further thoughts? Am I the only one bothered when I lose a bunch of equipment or go into a public machine room and it is empty?
