preventing climbing chickens?

am i the only one who would love a fix for chickens climbing around in my house? i live in shimla mirch and as much as i try to keep all my animals down in my yard, startled chickens tend to get stuck on my climbing vine and ladder and make their way up to the top floor. it's near impossible to startle them back down to the yard, too, and of course there's no option to pick up chickens to drag them back down.

  • I have the opposite problem. I would love a big mess of butterflies to stay in my house but I cant figure out a way to keep them there. Whenever I hatch them in my house they automatically get dragged to the outside.

  • I once saw a chicken at the VERY top of the ladder at the great hole to ix. I don't know how it got there, but it fell alllllll the way down.

  • I like the chickens climbing in the world.  Perhaps they should be dragged outside like butterflies when they climb in houses.

  • @Jahoody, do you have a cottage home or a cave home?  I have a cottage now and the butterflies stay outside, but there's a butterfly flapping its wings inside Uncle Friendly's so I know they can be hatched indoors.  Perhaps the key is to have the area enclosed.  I never tried hatching my butterflies inside my cave when I lived in a cave, so I don't know if they'd just fly up the ladder or not.

    Does anyone know?
