Pretty cool. For costumes though, I'd really like a werewolf costume or maybe cat ears or a fox tail. Just an idea. A glitch with a tail would be uber cute though. -^.^-
Maestro - currently, there are 75 clothing items that are free for all, including 7 hats, 31 shirts, 13 pairs of pants, 4 dresses, 5 skirts and 15 pairs of shoes. We're always working on expanding the wardrobe and will have more free-for-all items available as we make progress - we'll keep you posted;)
SugarQb - I must apologize. I just looked at the clothes and noticed how some had the word, "free" underneath them. The reason I thought there were only a few options was because when I click on the clothing icons on the right of my character, only a few options showed up. I thought they were the only options for non-subscribers. Perhaps the clothing options could be better organized so it's easier to tell which items are free for all, free for subscribers, and cost credits.
I love the new Egyptian clothes. They are very good looking and I like the theme. I should probably scrape together a few credits and get an outfit, since my avatar name is Egyptian.
@Maestro In the wardrobe, the default is to show the newest items at the top. If you hit the link to sort by lowest price, all of the items that are free to everyone show up at the top. All of the subscriber items show up at the end of the list in price order.
Maestro - we're working on improving the Wardrobe/Vanity system as we speak and I'm sure that we'll have more customizable search/categorization options available in the future. Thanks for the feedback!
It's weird. So many clothes to choose from, yet I'm so incapable of finding sets that I think are good looking. If it's not one thing, it's another.
-"Yes, I bet these things would go together! ... Wow, these things look terrible together, what was I thinking?"
-"Good, this looks good. Now all I need is a pair of red pants and I'll be set! ... WHAT? There's no normal pair of red pants in the wardrobe? For christ's sake..."
-"I want to wear a hat, but that hat is slightly the wrong hue to go with my other parts!"
I've spent hours just mixing and matching clothes to try and find something nice looking to wear, and have only come out with the bland assortment of clothes my character is currently wearing.
I wonder if anybody else has that problem.
Of particular trouble to me is the shoes category. I find that the recreational-type shoes all look great, the sandles, flip-flops, and loafers. The non-recreational-type shoes is where the trouble is, which is to say the full-foot shoes. I just don't like the bricks and the boots that come up to the ankle. The Black Laceup Shoes are almost perfect, but the shoes with that sprite don't come up high enough around the ankle.
Edit: Sorry to be such a downer. I was pretty tired when I wrote this. It's not Tiny Speck's fault. I can also take hours to come up with a name if all the ones I normally use are taken (as they were in this game, all by level 1 characters, half of them in dormant accounts).
Curious if no coats are free intentionally. I'm guessing so /shrug.
Suggestion: Haven't seen any Sunglasses yet. Could put them with the hats maybe? Just a thought/suggestion/idea your artists probably already dealt with. I hear those art people can be creative n' stuffs.
Um... (1st post and in a staff topic? D: ) Can I ask you something? As you are talking about improving wardrobe and vanity... I read somewhere that if our free subscription month disappears our vanity options do so too. I can understand about wardrobe options being that way, as we still get the pieces that we paid credits for, but as there are no "credits" in vanity, why can't we keep our vanity? I mean, our face is something much more "standing out" than a suit/dress and we aren't going to keep changing it...
There's a difference between "subscription" and "credits". While you do get bonus credits when you purchase a subscription, you can purchase credits on their own without a subscription. A subscription gives you access to "special" items. Some may be free, and some may cost credits. The subscription-only vanity items do not cost anything, but you need to subscribe to gain access to it. If everyone could use them, what incentive would people have to subscribe?
Aumir, there are free vanity options and there are subscriber-only vanity options. As long as you are a subscriber, you can use the subscriber vanity options. If you revert to being a free player, your vanity options are limited to free player options.
I think the subscriber vanity and wardrobe items is a great way for TS to encourage membership but still give full game play to those who can not subscribe.
