.1 and .2 Quoin Upgrade Cards?

Greetings, Fellow Glitchen of Ur,

I read through anything I could find on the forums about the Quoin Upgrade cards, hoping to find out if any of the old .1 or .2 Quoin Upgrade cards existed anymore. My multiplier is sitting at a rather nasty 13.15 right now, and if I can't clear up that .15, will I ever be able to get to 100? Hopefully there's a way. A single .1 would put me back on the right track, so I'm hopeful. Thanks in advance for your great answers!

  • Jovan - You'll go past 100. For example, if you get to 99.15x and then purchase a 1.0x multiplier card, your final multiplier will be 100.15x

  • And then Upgrade cards will vanish from my deck so I can't buy any more of them? Cool!

    Thanks for the reply!

  • yes, they will vanish from your deck, but in my instance when I was at 99.1 and bought a 1.0 I did not go to 100.1, but just to 100.  Maybe something changed?

  • I thought that buying a +1 card at 99.15 would take you up to 100 and cap you, rather than bump you up to 100.15...

  • Two days ago I was at 99.95 and bought a 1.0 card, and then a 0.5 card that came in the same deal of cards.   I'm now at 100.00.

This was a very expensive upgrade (I paid 75,000 iMG for the two cards) to increase my multiplier by 0.05. But then a kind support person from Tiny Speck told me that I didn't get anything for my 75,000, because when you get a quioin the mult is ALWAYS ROUNDED UP.  So there is no practical difference between a mult of 99.5 and 100.0.

  • Yes, but the 100 looks a lot prettier. (And yeah I was at 99.85, and bought a .5, and got to 100. I'm OCD enough to want it to be a straight 100.)

  • Well, the support person wouldn't always be right. A 20 value quoin will (I believe) round differently if you multiplier is 99.95 than if it's 100.0. Really, any quoin of value higher than 10.

Granted, there aren't a whole lot of higher-than-10 value quoins out there. But you don't get your multiplier to that point without being interested in those quoins, now do you? :)

My problem is I have nothing left to spend IMG on. I wish there was someway to turn it into currants. Or bubbles.

Or give it to others who currently need it.

  • BTW, I did the exact same thing, although I was going for a 102 multiplier, and wasted even more IMG than you did. Que sara sara.

  • Oh crap, really? I had 3 Quoin Multiplier cards in my hand when I maxed out my multiplier, and I bought them all, thinking I'd end up at 102.5. I didn't even check afterwards. Did I seriously waste 250,000 iMG?

  • Thanks for the excellent information, guys! At least I won't be stuck at 99.65 and unable to climb higher later on. And the sheer amount of people offering up information is what makes me love this little slice of the Internet.
