I realized something: there is NO CHOCOLATE in the game. I mean, come on. What is a world without chocolate? Can we implement some sort of Baking Skill, which a purchasable Oven, so that desserts can be made? CHOCOLATE desserts? :)
We have sweets like crepes and specialty coffees. If we add a new skill it needs to be actually different from other skills. Cooked food boosts energy, drinks (usually) boost mood, what would sweets do that's different?
See I figured that such an obvious ingredient was something the devs were saving for later in the game, when they'd give us an oven.
Cake!
With all those Glitch holidays, there's a crying need for chocolate cake.
@RobotGymnast - It's not really the practical use of sweets we're going for here; more the aesthetic appeal of them. We have frying, chopping, blending, shaking, grilling, saucery, grinding--why not baking?
Plus one MILLION for in-game chocolate. You know the giants must love it - if I could create an entire world with my mind power it would definitely have a lot of desserts in it :)
When I saw this thread, I went "Oh so that's what was missing!"
It would be great to have chocolate and the ability to use it recipes. :)
As for additional uses, perhaps make it worth more to the giants when making a donation? Depending on whether the giant in question likes chocolate, I suppose :P
Maybe we should have to be careful when feeding it to animals and trees, since animals in real life may react badly to chocolate...
Chocolate might be a way to "poison" a piggy in the same way you poison a tree?
That might be a bit too violent, though. +1 Millie: If the devs made chocolate difficult to obtain, it could definitely be used to create desserts and such to cater to the giants for favor.
It is mean :(
So maybe somehow every single creature in the Glitchiverse loves or at least can tolerate chocolate...
Actually, I just went and looked up chocolate poisoning for dogs. Apparently, white chocolate is the least harmful to dogs, although still harmful if ingested in large amounts. (And baking chocolate and semi-sweet are worst.) If chocolate is introduced with three varieties (white, milk and dark/semi-sweet), perhaps we should be able to feed at least white chocolate to animals and trees. And maybe the giants will have a preference for one kind of chocolate over another. And part of the fun will be figuring out which giant likes which chocolate :)
People food is bad for dogs in general, and lots of common stuff can harm them (grapes, onions, green tomatoes, dryer sheets to name a few). Some dogs are more sensitive than others.
When you poison a tree you get a count down until it dies (somewhere around 3 min), during which an antidote can be applied.
if baking were a more advanced skill, a dessert with hard to obtain ingredients could boost both mood and energy...make it worth the effort of making it
Well i'm going to stick with my philanthropic activity and try and populate the communal garndes on this test with animals.....remember a choccie egg is for easter - a Pig is for life...
