Tin Subscription

I just got a Tin Subscription and I realized that I don't get any credits. Why?

  • Tin doesn't give you any credits. :)

  • Because tin subscriptions don't get any credits per their description...only copper and moly ones do.  Copper gets 150 credits, moly one gets 400 credits.  You do get subscriber items unlocked now though.

  • Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade subscriptions yet?

  • Yes. I believe so. At least I've been able to do so. There should be an option. Well for me, I access it by clicking on the number of credits on the glitch website. Which takes me to my account history. Then Click on the Subscription tab. There should be an Upgrade option to click somewhere there. Hope this helps :) Cheers.

  • I wish it were that easy. Every time I go to the upgrade subscription page it says "We will shortly be adding the ability to upgrade your subscription. Check back in a few days."

  • Perhaps you should open a help case about this and say you wish to have a different subscription type. They should be able to do something about it on their end.

  • I read somewhere that they'll be fixing the sub upgrade soon. I cancelled my original sub and then re-subscribed with the upgrade. I'm not sure if that will affect the amount of credits you receive when they are doubled (after relaunch), so if that's important to you I would check on it before unsubscribing.

  • I'm at the Tin Sub and wanted to upgrade. Support told me that the only way to upgrade currently is to cancel your account, then once that sub expires, sign up with a new (different) subscription plan. I would sure love it if they'd implement upgrades. You know, in their spare time. ;)

  • Did they tell you if canceling your subscription then renewing would affect the subscriber only stuff that you have? Or the credits you bought previously?

  • @Sparrow Odele
When my previous sub ran out I got to kept my free sub-only cloths for a bit before losing them. Not sure about furniture since this was before the new houses. All credits stick with you, they came with payment you've already made.

  • Sparrow Odele: there's a long grace period after the subscription lapses, so it shouldn't have any effect, as long as you re-sub'd reasonably soon after.

For everyone else: annual subscriptions already are already upgradable (that's easier). Monthly ones will be in the future (we know!) — that's the source of the confusion when some people say they could/can upgrade and others say they can't … annual vs monthly.

  • Hmmm. I might switch to an annual one instead of monthly once Glitch relaunches.

  • Ah. That makes sense now. Thank you, Stoot!

  • I finally decided, after 6 mos of hemming and hawing, to bite the bullet and cancel/resubscribe. I cancelled yesterday & today when I went in to the page for resub, it offered me the ability to upgrade my subscription. :D Thank you TS!

As an aside, Oh Benevolent TS, if you read this, it'd be lovely if you'd put the full monthly amount of each subscription. Whilst I appreciate the daily rate, my grey matter prefers monthly numbers. Darn brain. No matter how much I try to kill it...
