  • come on a my house, I've got a copy from the Ursadelica album by Nasty tales and their Orchestra. Love the tune, love your version too :D
I doubt that is the original though. *googles*
apparently the original was by Rosemary Clooney written by Ross Bagdasarian

  • jiva, send a link of their performance, so I can see if it's the same tune--if so, you'll get a prize!

  • That's the song! Prize is in the mail. Cheers! Ooh, I just saw you answer'ed question number 2--that's the singer, and it was written by Ross Bagdasarian, and his cousin William Saroyan. For extra credit, what else is Bagdasarian famous for?

  • Nice job on making this tune gltichy!!I know the song.. Come on-a my house and Rosemary Clooney sang it in the 1950's.

I didn't know who wrote it but I looked it up. :)  I had to know
Ross Bagdasarian  who also wrote for Alvin and the Chipmunks

Now it's stuck in my head.. 6 am and that crazy frenetic tune.. in mah head.

  • Lol Ooola! Yeah, it's a bit hypnotic and frenetic. It stays with you--in your head, in your head. Prize is on its way--Alvin and Chipmunks is correct.

  • Ross Baqgdasarian was the voice of each of the chipmunks (Simon, Theodore and that impish rascal Alvin) on the first recording "The Chipmunk Song" where they sing about Christmas and how hard it is to wait for it.  This was way back in 1958. He experimented with variable speeds on a tape recorder to get their high-pitched squeaky voices.

  • I can't believe that I am the first person to mention this but when Axa made the post I thought that they used the song in question in the parody to infer their own Glitch house was like Hugh Hefner's Playboy mansion. The nasty tales version of the song was VERY famously used in the TV show Girls Next Door/Girls of the Playboy Mansion. Naturally I only know this from flicking channels during the ad breaks while watching Little House on the Prairie [cough] ;)
