"This teleport is on me" (on new street creation)

So ... I just helped create a new street. Yay!

The rock tells me about it. Alright!

He says, "this teleport is on me." Sweet!

But there's an "Ok" button at the bottom of the dialog box, and when I click it, the teleport-on-the-rock's-dime button has disappeared. Sad!

Just sayin', it'd be nice if that persisted, or if it was otherwise clear that *clicking the teleport button right now* is the only chance I'll get to teleport right to the new street.

  • It would be really nice if you didn't have to use the teleport instantly.  The offer wouldn't need to last long, maybe just until the end of the game day, but sometimes you would like to take the teleport after finishing up some harvesting in the area you're in.  Or whatever.

  • +1 but maybe with "teleportation tokens" coming down the pipe, something like that might be possible?

  • I got that offer even though I contributed 0 per cent! I wonder why. Maybe a bug?

  • The thing that bugs me the most about this is the OKAY. It's been mentioned before.....
Okay in my mind means, YES!  Let's go.
Click on okay in this context and the offer is withdrawn.  BOO.
Please change the Okay to  No thanks, or change the action.... please
I've lost so many free teleports.

  • The rock should certainly be less pushy and not assume that you want to TP there and then, this could result in scenes of naked Glitches in mid-wardrobe change wandering around all over the place, or other such eye-boggling scenes. In time we might have some kind of TP storage on the menu where we see how many we have got left to use, it would be nice if place-specific TP's(such as the end of project ones), were also stored for us to use when it's convenient.

  • It is confusing.  "Okay" does close the window and withdraw the offer.  You need to click on the gray teleport box.  This is unclear and I missed getting to teleport to about 3 new streets before I figured it out.  I also dislike having to drop what I am doing to teleport NOW.  I am always doing something and it is both disappointing and annoying to have to drop everything to teleport half way across the map to visit the new street even though I do want to see it.

How about it Devs?  Make the message clearer and, better yet, give us a one time token.

  • This is definitely a valid complaint and a confusing design. We'll figure something out for it!

  • It's particularly tricky if you log on in a place that there's a lot happening. I came back to the game and had a crab asking me to play a song, the announcement that a street I'd worked on was finished, and a new quest all popping in on top of each other. And, like everyone else has said, I wish I could save that teleport for later. I don't always want to go there at that moment.

  • LOL @ Morticia :)

And yes, I don't know exactly what you devs are figuring out, but I would like to add my voice to the 'please could we save the teleport till later' crowd. Thanks!

  • +1 to the doesn't dismiss and gone forever idea

There have been an number of times where I've logged into the game and started playing (tending patches at my house or something - and thus clicking ENTER a bunch) when this unexpected dialog comes up from the Rock (due to something i did the last time I played) and because focus switches to it the next time i hit enter dismisses the dialog before i get to read it.

The focus switching is probably a different interface issue to think about, but the idea that the dialog can be brought back up would solve this "oh shit i didn't get to read it" case pretty well.
