6/23 Test Extra Laggy

I'm finding the current is lagging more than it ever has for me before. Is anyone else finding just harvesting difficult because of the delay?

  • Today has been very laggy and in populated areas sometimes I couldn't walk.
Splanking also seems a problem, I was hit 3 times today and each time the game crashed and froze my computer. I have the debug Chrome version but the freeze didn't allow me to send the message.

  • The game has *serious* lag for me the first day of a test, happened 3 tests so far. But after that, I don't seem to have any problems. I have occasionally noticed another av running in place or stuck in midair tho.

  • You both may want to look into the thread I posted below and try that version of the game which is experimental. It seemed to help me a bit. I also have been playing on Firefox.

  • Dump  the Chrome if you want to play Glitch. Firefox is great.

  • Super laggy and I also played on both Chrome and Fiirefox. Oddly, when I played briefly in Chrome on the XP machine, there was no lag. Otherwise, the other 2 machines are bought Win7 and it dragged this whole test.

  • I actually found it much *less* laggy than it had been in previous tests, especially when it came to loading times. In the last few (and by few I mean at least 4) tests, street loading times had been almost ridiculously long for me, to the point where I occasionally just had to walk away out of frustration. In this test, though, they were fine, and I only noticed lag a very few times all weekend. I'm on Mac OSX, playing in Safari with 10.3.

  • Firefox is typically quite laggy for me (and I tried it again this test, and yes, still SLOW).  Chrome is speedier, but I have had a ton of Flash Crashes on the last two tests.  The game is exceptionally laggy on weekends when there are more people playing, and noticeably laggy in areas where there are more players or critters running around.

  • I feel the same as b3achy.  Lag seems to increase as a test goes on.  I'm using Opera as my browser.  I know it isn't supported by Glitch but it works best for me.  The last few tests Chrome won't even load.  FF is sooooo slow I can't stand it.  Next test I'm going to try the renderer thingy that Jono was talking about.

  • Especially the last few hours were very laggy here (on Firefox 4 with debug Flash).

  • Had a fair share of lag and a few crashes (in Chrome Debug), after refreshing it seemed to clear up.  However, towards the end, one thing that was very noticeable was almost impossible movement for Quoin collecting over the rocks/hills (Alakol) where piggies, chickens and butterflies were gathering.  Too much animation to wade through and jumping etc was both erratic and sluggish if that's possible.  Maybe a rethink is needed about having the creatures gather around relatively small areas that we need access to.  I know it makes butterfly tending easier, but if it is going to cause movement issues anyway, they might as well be more evenly disbursed.
