super harvest from a wood tree

I'm struggling to complete the quest that requires a super harvest from one of each type of tree. i did all the others ages ago but can't get the wood tree super-harvest, even thoughy I have a wood tree of my own in my back yard. It just refuses to give out! I've tried petting and watering and feeding fertilidust but I'm just not getting anywhere.
Does anyone have any tips they are willing to share? There are so few wood trees out there to try harvesting, which really makes this more difficult. Am I missing something somewhere?

  • I planted one in my garden and fertilitized it, and let it mature, then it was just a matter of harvesting 'til I finally got the super harvest. Hope that helps! =)

  • For this quest, I think it actually says "max harvest" which works differently for wood trees. When I completed it, I just did a max harvest from a wood tree, not a super harvest.

(addl info here just in case you dont know...)

The harvest amount for a wood tree depends on its maturity. Bigger wood trees yield more than smaller ones. And unlike other trees, wood trees get smaller when you harvest.

So to complete this quest, use fertilidust to max out the tree completely before harvesting.

  • Yes, like magic panda says, make sure it's fully grown (4 planks sticking out of it) before harvesting.  Loads of luck! :)

  • I had the same trouble. Used the tree in my yard. Let it grow. Didn't harvest. Harvested. Let grow. Didn't harvest. Harvested. Harvested. Then one day it gave. Didn't seem to have any rhyme or reason--other then I kept at it. It will happen for you, too, someday.

  • Thanks for the replies. Guess I just keep trying. I miss my gas tree I had previously though!

  • We had planted a good deal of (fully matured) wood trees in a Groddle Forest location, but they kept reverting to fruit trees overnight.  The war against fruit trees may be an oncoming storm. . .
