Knowing me, shooting beans out of my nose will be involved...there should be a 12 step set up for glitchs like me who can't keep their hands off'n their pickle.
Better Learning I and II, Bureaucratic Arts, get papers, get a Groddle tree house, basic cooking skills and then start auctioning food to all those busy miners.
Splendora...malo and bored are true gems...they are great friends to have...sent you a friend request as well... :)
Hey, Hawkwell...I'll be looking for your stuff...I have a couple of folks that I regularly buy from...will add you to my list of good peeps to buy from... :)
Ha ha malo - I will probably be fingering my pickle too :) Since I do not have one in RL, this is as close as I will ever get.
Getting my papers will be early so I can hop on the subway. I'll be shooting for AH skills so I can profitably serve up Lemburgers and juicy carpaccio to those hungry miners.
A home. After that, I don't know. I just would like to make enough to get me a place to settle in before the game goes live.
I'm sure I'll be working on BL skills, AK skills, mining skills and gardening a bit as I work on getting a house. But my sole goal for this test will be a house. Then everything else can come in its own sweet time as we will not have to be shut away from the lovely world again! At least not often. :)
I feel the same way Little Miss Giggles. Kindof a mad rush to get the type of house I want, and then I can relax and take my time with everything after that.
i'm going to try really hard to not be in a mad rush. i want to re-experience the magic of glitch -- and really pay attention to the stuff that flew by me my first time around. :) i'm going to massage butterflies before Level 10 (srsly, it took me so long last time). i'll be a friend to all piggies.
House buying is a matter of personal taste. I reluctantly parted with the smaller, cheaper houses for quests and such. I had a cozy little cave house in Groddle heights I really loved and a 50s diner style house in Groddle meadow who's decoration I found very cheery. I really loved my first visit to a Fire Bog house at the invite of @Don Draper. I think I bought 6 or 7 homes in my time playing and I found things to like about all of them.
I miss my house (and my pet piglet); I was quite attached to it. The first thing I'll be saving up for is a house of my very own! I don't know if I want to purchase the exact same piece of property (if I can) or move into a newer type of home that didn't exist until after I already bought mine. Starting out, I only had the cave homes of Groddle Heights, the tree houses of Groddle Forest, and the house-houses of Groddle Meadows to choose from.
I'm going to strive to re-buy my last house at my exact last address if possible. I was hoping for a 50k home in some of the newer regions in the northern mountain areas, but I found my area interesting and lightly populated. I still plan to explore the newest spots and if I find something more to my liking I might head that way instead. Honestly I'd much rather be away from the flood of new players when the game officially opens to the public.
That's a compelling point, Fokian Fool. If the collective testing community were to choose homes away from Groddle, we'd be like the frontiersmen and frontierswomen of Ur. :P
My first LARGE goal, like many others, is to buy a home. I had one of the 50k mansions during last test, but this time around I want a little cottage for my first home.
Hearing everyone else talk, I may be swayed towards purchasing in Bortola, too, instead of Groddle Meadow. It'd be neat to know who my neighbors are likely to be. 8D
But as far as smaller goals go... I was thinking of offing myself as much as possible right off the bat, too. :'D Weirdly excited to hear I'm not the only one thinking about that! And I want to travel. Before, I'd miss ever walking down certain streets, even though I'd been everywhere else in that region. THIS time, my little glitch is going to stroll down every last street if I can help it.
Buying a little house that I can dump stuff in is my first priority. This time around I will not be buying small bags but wait till I can afford the bigger ones. So that means having to get my papers, then I need to learn to cook & make drinks. Elements and Compounds can wait, but mining is a must. It is going to be hard walking everywhere to start, without being able to Teleport, still we will get there in the end. Don't think I will play with the pickle as I don't want to end up somewhere far far away.
My first goal is to learn penpersonship and get a quill and paper. Then, I will launch a literary assault of the likes Ur has never seen. Mwah hah hah. (Mine is an evil laugh.)
As it was before reset, my first long-term goal will be to travel as many streets as possible. I really like being on a leader board, even if it is for a silly thing.
Short-term I am going to focus on enjoying the game. All the little things, massaging butterflies, petting piggies, watering trees. But with an eye on weird achievements like eating #'s of raw meat and eggs to get the XPs for those when I need them most.
I'm going to learn EZ Cooking 1 (and possibly a couple others) while I level up. Once I get to level 3 (shouldn't take too long), I'm learning Better Learning 1 and then Penpersonship. Much like Ooloi, I have literary aspirations. But I think, perhaps, mine are not as evil.
Once I have Penpersonship, I'm in no hurry. I tend to be slightly less competitive than a lot of people. I'm like to get and experience everything, but am in no hurry to do so. As for housing, I'm okay with waiting for that too, but plan on getting out of the Groddle when I do so, as I've only experienced Groddle-living and the life of a hermit in a less populated area appeals to me.
Though I don't plan on avoiding socialization at all. I avoided it quite a bit early on in my game and was only starting to really participate in social activities right before preset.
Figure out how to best enjoy this gaming experience.
I'm desperately trying to avoid the "ZOMG, gotta get everything done!1" syndrome that has hurt my enjoyment of MuMORPGers in the past and just take it slow with "real" Glitch.
Probably try to everything at once lol - learn to cook, farm, mine, ride the subway, massage butterflies without lotion...oh so much to do! I am very excited!
@Ooloi You just gave me a great idea. I had a lot of fun doing my Apocalypse series a week before the reset. I should do a Genesis series, but scatter it around the Forest this time. HOORAY, FUN! WHY IS THIS MY DEFINITION OF FUN?!
@Splendora I'm still pretty new (I've only been playing for about a week and a half now), so we can be (fairly) new together!
I only discovered Better Learning toward the end of this test, so I'm going to focus on that and then get cracking on everything else in the skill tree...and cooking will be in there early on, I'm sure. (Possibly before Better Learning - I need energy to play, after all.)
I second Miss Melody, I'm going to hold out on buying the smaller bags, and will only buy bigger ones this time around.
I'll probably buy a small house (I really liked the one I had in Estevan Meadows - maybe I'll try to get the same one) first until I can afford one of the nice 50,000 mansions. I had one of those for a day or two before the reset. It was great! I loved having a pen for my piggies and chickens.
