Glitch Rape subject CLOSED?

This is ridiculous! were going back to Beta and this subject is being closed? This is a game not a place where a subject (player) can be harmed in any way! No one, I mean no player and/or Avatar should be harmed in any way ever! by any one! I stand firm with my friend Mr.V. that any behavior such as this should not be allowed thus those guilty be removed from the game. Some folks think horrible behavior  is not possible in a game such as this! Well wake up Tiny Speck staff, it happened in November to Mr.V. and other Glitch players have come forth to say that this has happened to them too!

When we take a game and call our critter an Avatar it is in some form a reflection of who we are; sadly the bad comes in with the good. what happened in this situation is abuse!

I call to all Alpha/Beta testers to support changes in this game to stop this type of abuse. I request this support from all of you ; that Glitch Staff and Developers understand that this is a priority over any money making changes or lose the wonderful Glitch players they currently have.

Mr. V, is an awesome person and does not deserve this type of treatment. I hate to see him leave the game and a evil person stay in the game.  Mr. V, has been emotionally injured. He deserves apologies from the Tiny Speck staff. We must remember that Rape, real or "play in a game" is a violent attack, thus hurtful.

This game if not supported to be a wholesome game is worthless, not to mention and question again; Is this is an adult game or should children be allowed to play?  Surely this game does not appear safe for young players to play at present.
Is there any of you that agree with me? Also what is your recommendation?

  • I think it was good that they closed the thread, because the users (we) started to get quite aggressive among each other.

    That's just multiplying the damage.

Apart from that, I actually think that most people did agree on some core issues and values here. The discussion just got quite nasty about the details.

  • "Is this is an adult game or should children be allowed to play?", the game is forbidden for people under 14 if I remember well.
Louis Louisson's right. The thread had come to a point where all the discussions were going in circles, more and more violent and polarized. I may not write often in the forums, but I read. And this last week, boy did I read. Why don't we all shut up and read, instead of trying to write louder than the other, especially when we all agree on the core issues of the problem?

We just need to step back, breathe and look at the choice here : being happy and harmonious, or focus only on the bad experience, build mountains of resentment and stay bitter. What's more important for you?

  • This game is not for children. The ToS requires that you be at least 14 to play. And I don't think one needs to resort to the "What about the children?!" argument in order to make the point that certain behaviors are damaging both to individuals and the community.

I wasn't there for the incident; I didn't see what happened. But regardless of what happened, three things are true: 1. Vermilion's feelings are valid because they are his feelings; 2. Vermilion's decision to leave the game or stay is his own; and 3. Tiny Speck is doing their best to handle this issue, and that includes closing the previous discussions. Tiny Speck does not act on a whim or make arbitrary decisions. They have, do, and will continue to put a lot of thought into everything they do.

And that should be the end of the matter.

  • Thread was closed because it did what every other thread on this forum does.
Spiral out of control, and turn into something totally off topic.

  • The topic is closed. TS asked players to take concerns up with them personally about certain issues.

I would respect that and not reopen a very controversial topic that makes all sides involved look bad.

  • By no means should the staff be apologizing for the actions of a player. That's just ludicrous, the staff didn't bring the offender into the game, they didn't encourage their actions, nor did they support them.

You're being ridiculous blaming the creators of a game for the actions of those within it.
