Firefox and Adobe Flash Player

Since I recently upgraded my Adobe Flash Player,  Firefox will no longer load the game. Does anybody else have this problem? What is the solution for this?  Thank you   :)

  • Some people who have problems after the upgrade find if they still had v10 installed. When they ran the uninstaller to remove all flash, and reinstalled v11, most problems resolved.

  • Now, I'm having a problem with Flash/FF/Glitch after FIreFox updated itself to version 8 just now.  My keyboard isn't working correctly.  It's like I'm holding a directional arrow down.  My poor glitchen will not stop walking on the direction I start it in with the arrow key.

I don't play any other flash game that use the keyboard this way to move, so I can't tell where the problem is.

Everything was working fine with MacOSX10.5.8/Flash10.3x/Firefox7x.  Not so happy with FF8 now.  Probably it's FF8 not happy with Flash10.3.

  • @ Tibbi: I have exactly the same problem/issues. It is not a FF8 issue.

fwiw, my desktop is an iMac with OS X v 10.5.8. It played perfectly until this morning when I experienced what you did. (my poor glitch is all banged up from running into wall, rocks, and streets signs) Well, it seems that In order for Flash 11 to work I need to upgrade to Snow Leopard OS X v 10.6.  I tried to just go direct and install Lion, but it needs Snow Leopard first. Egads! I feel like I'm in a Vonnegut novel!

My MacPro was Snow Leopard when I bought it so it easily handled the new FF 8 and Flash 11. Thank goodness I have the laptop so I could glitch a little this morning. Have to have my glitch, you know! Now I'm off to buy Snow Leopard.

  • I just made a clean install a few days ago, and all is well... but I can't see the Leaderboards, they just show the list empty and buttons for moving pages or selecting which list I want.

Would that be also a Flash problem? o.ou

  • Finally figured it was best to at least upgrade to Snow Leopard (10.6x).  Hadn't realized there's been two version bumps since Leopard (10.5x).  Maybe good full hog to Lion later. We'll have to see.  At least I'll be able to upgrade Flash to v11 now (or when I get the 10.6 upgrade done).

  • After I upgraded my adobe flash player, I was also having similar issues with other flash-based applications, including Glitch. Someone suggested that I go into my flash settings and disable the "hardware acceleration". It worked for me.

This option affects the full-screen playback (such as Glitch), which may be the reason why I can't access anything in full screen mode. I guess there's no harm in doing a quick confirmation, just in case. :) A simple solution could be all you need.
