I noticed that the Glitch Wiki had a page on food item energy efficiency that was sadly incomplete/outdated. Rather than wait for it to become more useful, I decided to try and build a spreadsheet with all the food items in the game, including information on their ingredients and energy costs.
The Google Doc with the chart is here. I've set it so anyone with that link can edit the file so please, be kind. :)
There's a couple things I was hoping you folks could help me fill in...
1) First off, I don't have half of these recipes, so if you DO, please check their listings for accuracy! Once you've checked an item's row and found it to be complete and accurate, please highlight the item name light orange, like I did with Juicy Carpaccio.
2) I don't know what skill levels unlock certain items. These are listed in mauve. If YOU know, please update that field and remove its coloration.
3) Finally, I'm missing some data on "Tuning" costs. Basically, that would entail checking an item's recipe, and then inputting the energy cost of turning the basic ingredients, like Cherries, into the ingredients that the item uses, like Lemons or Oranges. In a perfect world, I'd build a larger spreadsheet that would allow us to track energy costs and recipes a bit more specifically, but I think this sucker suits our purposes without being TOO daunting. :)
Some additional info on fields that may be confusing...
Harvesting is the estimate of how much energy it would take to snag the basic ingredients from trees, piggies, et cetera. This cost is set on the Energy tab of the spreadsheet.
Tuning is how much energy it costs to turn basic ingredients into the specific ones the recipe calls for.
Cooking is how much energy it costs to cook one of that dish in the first place.
Milk is how much energy it costs to turn Milk into however many Butter or Cheese the recipe requires.
I hope all this is interesting or useful to you guys. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps out!
