Home

I wanted to go home! It's a hangover from Faunasphere, so apologies for those tired of hearing about FS. But I tend to play solo a lot. I like to join in but am terrible at conversation so I frequently hang in the background. At one point during the test today I felt lost and a bit frustrated (was trying to find mining) and just wanted to go "home" for a bit and take a deep breath.

So I guess my wish (idea) is that we started with a very small home. Or the option, and/or means, to purchase a home at the very beginning of play.

Just my 2 cents

  • @Pirat Apples, feel free to IM me if you ever feel like that again. If I can help I will :) I used my house like that. If I got kind of lost I usto just go home and rethink my next move. Always had my house as my TP point. :)

  • If you ever need a quiet space, give a shout... if you happen to be passing a housing quarter, feel free to wander the streets. They're normally deserted and a Glitch can snag a few minutes to think and sort inventory.

  • Aw Trav and Misha, you guys are sweet. I think part of my frustration today was with the dust bunny/shiny object quest. I got it the first test (for me) but I think it was buggy this time. So I couldn't get the emotional bear... I wandered on to other quests, but my map guide kept wanting me to go back to this quest (I think lol)

Not discouraged at all though. I'm in it for the long haul! The potential of this game is awesome!

  • @Pirate I had exactly the same problems. I think the devs are on to it, that and a few other bugs this test. :)

  • PA-Is it okay if I call you that? You can always find me in game to get a virtual hug if you like. I gave up on the dust bunny quest. I couldn't do it first time or this one. I was able to do mining though so if you need help next time give a yell. I do like your idea though and am also missing my sphere. Might have to go look at screen shots in a bit.

  • homes might seem expensive, but generally speaking you should be able to buy one only two or three hours from start of play if you play your cards right .. or even less.

certainly in the first full day of play, you should be able to afford a house if you want one.

  • @pirate apples, I know exactly how you feel! I am very shy in real life, and get annoyed with myself at seeming to feel just as shy in a game (it's just a freaking GAME for heaven's sake!) I often leave without participating in parties or projects for that reason, and I think sometimes lose out on a lot of fun. Before the reset I had my house set as my teleport location, and used to go "home" and do some gardening and pet my animals - just like I do in RL lol.

  • Glad I wan't the only one who had a problem finding the shiny object! :)

@Holly, PA is just fine! :) I answer to Pi as well. :)

@striatic with only two tests for a total of about four hours of play time and a reset in between and a general feeling of "ack! what do I do next!" I'm hoping for a little more progress in the next test. :) Thanks for the encouragement!

@Tradescantia Maybe we should be neighbors! I come home and garden and pet my animals in RL too!

    Thanks all for your comments.

  • @PA and Tradescsantia.
That will be three of us then :) That's why I love theGroddle Meadow as a location for a house.
Managed to get one of the last ones on Marrakesh last time and just got my new one now in Marylpole Mount. Love some like minded neighbours.....saying that I do talk ALOT and like a good party ;)
