Strategy for *Cubimal Trophy*

Today I threw a Cubimal Achievement party and since I have heard horror stories about the thievery and basic unfairness I thought I would share the concept that I used to throw a very successful team achievement.

I invited all of my friends and the folks in Global to my STREET.I gave ten minutes notice and by word of mouth I ended up with about 20-30 people there.I want to encourage you all to use your streets for this first half of the challenge.

I wrote a list of ALL of the cubes from the wiki and kept it at hand.I started out by letting everyone know what cubes I had (only like 3) then they filled in the list. the first go around we had about 6 or 7 cubes and I had them all give them to me to put in a bigger bag.I keep track of who gave what on my paper.I kept reminding the folks there of what were were lacking and we chose someone to collect donations (which were also tracked) and sell said donations and buy more cubes.More people were coming and giving more and more. After about an hour and a half of explaining or motives and collecting donations and buying cubes and collecting cubes we FINALLY got all 23 cubes.

It is at this point and this point only I entered my house and allowed the folks who had donated time money valuables and cubes into my home.I had already cleaned my floor up and all that.

Then with everyone ( 7 or 8 folks) lined up by the entrance of my door and me at  the other.I commence to pass around the two bags full of cubes ONE BY ONE(so as to keep trak of who had what when)

As people received their trophies the went to the left of me or left my house with a promise that I would mail/return their cubes after everyone had benefited.

Now , the hard part was defiantly turning people away who had found our gathering too late to work for the cause ( and prove themselves trustworthy enough to come in and hold the cubes).I spent about 2-3 hours on this project and was REALLY worried about losing someones hard-earned cubes! by the end of it I sadly and regretfully ended up chewing our very own cupcakes little head off thinking she had left with the bags when really she had just went to the other side of the room!!!!!(AGAIN...SORRY!!)

BUT, in the end the trophy was gained by all who had helped and I think it was a success! I might do it again but I think I would charge like 100 currants a pop into my house!it was stressful but worth it and I suggest that anyone with patience could again duplicate!

Mandee.

  • I was told by napabeth that you had a post asking if people didn't get their cubimals back but I can't find it so I'm posting here.

Mine were: snocone, cactus, bureaucrat and juju

but most of all I really have to have the smuggler cubimal back as it wasn't mine but Ebil's. He sent it over and I need to send it back ASAP.

Sorry to bother you with this again. Hope to see you online soon.

  • Ok folks! Happy to say I just sent the last of the cubimals out! That is one more thing I would add to my list: Make sure you have the time commitment starting out! I had to go fix my sisters wifi and HAD to leave before I could mail out all cubimals :( SO SORRY ABOUT THAT.

I am thinking of throwing another cubimal party but I am not sure if people would come or not ( has most of the community gotten this achievement?  ) but again if I did I would charge per head that way not only would the people who brought cubimals get it but so would people who gave currants to buy new ones.

    Any thoughts?
