The little things make a diffrence

I really love this game and what it has become but I find the game lacking of little things that most everything else has. These little things would make a WORLD of difference in my glitch's life as I am sure others.

First, foremost in my opinion,
--A chat filter!
System Chat | Action Log | Glitch Chat
These three should have the *option* to be rolled up in one but I don't think they should by default.
I would like to see this implemented the same but for each a different set of options for Group Chat, Private chat, and open world chat.

Mailbox:
--Accept All Items
--Delete All Mail
--Delete All Read Without Items

House:
--Allow List!!!!!!
--Toggle for allowing everyone in house or denying access to all
( You wouldn't believe how many people knock on my door a day to try and rob me)
--The option to allow guests to pick up items

Items:
--Able to specify exact numbers of Give|Donate|Drop Amount ( This has MANY uses )
--Sort Invintory: This is a major one for me. I don't care if it is just a per bag basis. Just the ability to sort
bags X,Y, and Z without sorting G, or F. Would be amazing!
--Swap something in inventory without needing to move it to a different slot( thepheebs )

--Ability to mess with items in bags when performing an action like mining would be nice. (Maestro Mateo)
I agree with this, I can understand not being able to interact with certain objects but to be locked out of my bag's and such I do not like.

UI inhancements:
-When pressing enter to interact with objects (trees/animals/people, etc), if there is a group of objects, always put the last-interacted with object in the default slot.(Pazza)
-Ability to disable certain options (e.g. turning off the ability to rename animals or sing to butterflies)(Pazza)
-Confirmation on large donations, or changing the default selection option on shrines to prevent accidental donations if one accidentally hits enter a few times rapidly in succession.  Or more generally, default selection options (on pressing enter) which prevent horrible consequences, e.g., giving 2000 allspice to a shrine or a pig.(Pazza)
-Give a visual indicator of which plants or animals can be harvested/nibbled/milked.  When there are large groups, the only solution seems to be to click everywhere until you can't find anything left to use, which is frustrating.  (This might not be feasible because it would require querying the status of all the things on the screen, which may put undue stress on either the server or the bandwidth).(Pazza)

Frog:
--Option to shut him up and just give me the Items..
lol... Kidding, but it would be nice.

===============

This section is things that the great imaginationers(developers) have given us that was noted here in this topic.

Items:
--Able to specify exact numbers of Give|Donate|Drop Amount ( This has MANY uses )

  • + a bazillion! @ deus - i know that i am driving u nutz with all of my requests for help. i also know that if even a few of the above listed suggestions were implemented, i wouldn't have to ask.

not that i don't like chatting with u...son. lmao

--chat filter: OMGiants, yes! i am having such a difficult time with chat lately. i cannot keep up with all the different people who wanna talk to me. it's not a problem to chat, just a problem to FIND them. Also, a way to be AFK in chat would be good. sometimes u just want to be alone with ur piggies...er, thoughts. Something like an 'away' feature.

--mailbox: definitely. this should work more like a RL email. Don't you think? And, seriously, I have way too much mail at times to be standing there deleting one message at a time. When I'm done reading and have the attachments, it needs to just evaporate into thin air. I really don't wanna see it anymore.

--house: I have a GG - Guard Gnome. An allow list would be so much more effective. I have stuff all over the floor and yard of my place. I would really hate to accidentally let someone into my place and have all of my work go down the tubes. So, yes, an allow list would be a very desirable option. This allow list could then also allow guests in your home to pick things up. Or to look in your cabinet. What if you're at a project and need more peat or whatever and a friend of yours is near your place and on the way out to the job? That friend could stop in at your place, pick the stuff up, and bring it to the project site. Without you having to leave. For that scenario alone, I would like to allow friends to do that.

--Items: yes...when i feed a chick or a pig, i'd like to do it once. not 10 times. Also, this applies to other things, which were already outlined above.

INVENTORY SORTING?! HELLZ YEAH!!!! lol   i really hate having to drop everything everywhere to know what exactly i have. very time consuming and annoying.

I'm sure I have a lot more to say, but I need to get back to RL and do my job. I will revisit this later.

  • Love these ideas especially the ability to specify the exact amount you want to give / feed / donate. Its a bit irritating having to either feed a batterfly with one at a time or 10 which is a wasteful.

I also think it would be great if we could swap something around in our inventory without having to move it to a new slot. For instance, when you click on an item in your inventory a verb 'swap' or 'move to' that when you click on it brings up the screen similar to when you donate - and you select which item you want to swap the item position with.

  • Many of these are in the works (particularly, the quantity picker and changes to the way mail works).

  • Thanks for the update and reply Stoot. I will eagerly await the updates!

--( Also, I challenge you to a game of crowns. I think I may have some tricks up my sleeve to win against the stoot. (And partially to see if you follow up this post so I can further judge you ( --But mostly just to beat you ( .. Yeah that's about it. ) ) ) )

  • I would really like to be able to allow certain people into my house. My husband and I play together and we each own our own house, but I'd like him to be able to come in and pet/water my trees or whatever even if I'm offline.

  • Some other small things I would like to see:

-Indicate how much time is left of sped up learning
-When pressing enter to interact with objects (trees/animals/people, etc), if there is a group of objects, always put the last-interacted with object in the default slot.
-Ability to disable certain options (e.g. turning off the ability to rename animals or sing to butterflies)
-Confirmation on large donations, or changing the default selection option on shrines to prevent accidental donations if one accidentally hits enter a few times rapidly in succession.  Or more generally, default selection options (on pressing enter) which prevent horrible consequences, e.g., giving 2000 allspice to a shrine or a pig.
-Give a visual indicator of which plants or animals can be harvested/nibbled/milked.  When there are large groups, the only solution seems to be to click everywhere until you can't find anything left to use, which is frustrating.  (This might not be feasible because it would require querying the status of all the things on the screen, which may put undue stress on either the server or the bandwidth).
