Problems when dropping gems

I have one "hill" of gems inside my house and I never before had this problem, until some days ago: Now every time that I want to drop there a new gem I need to jump and drop it from the air.
I reported this issue when I noticed it. I found a trick meanwhile and managed to drop the ruby. I replied that on that same report. I also was told that this is a known issue.
Days had passed and I am still having this same problem now. I need to jump over that "hill" to drop the gem stone.

Maybe this info can be useful for people that are having this same problem.

  • Have you tried picking up all the gems, refreshing, and then dropping them again?

  • The problem was solved for amber, sapphire and rubies, but not for moonstone or diamonds.
Old-style moonstone and diamonds (obtained before stacking gems was introduced) don't stack. If you try to drop a moonstone/diamond and there's another on the ground, the game wants to stack them, stacking fails, and you are unable to drop it.
Initially, the problem was happening for all gems, but since several days ago it was fixed for amber, sapphire and rubies. Hopefully it will be fixed for moonstone and diamonds as well.

  • Wow, Zary Serendipity is right!

To get around the problem, pick up any disparate gems you have, and refresh the page. The gems become stackable!
For me, the amber, sapphire and rubies became stackable after I inadvertently refreshed the game while carrying them. I did it again for moonstone, and those gems became stackable, too!

  • Yep! We also have the workaround posted in the Known Issues post at the top of the Bugs forum. :)

  • Thanks. I'll try to do that, but before I'll need to have many empty bags because on that "hill" there are lots, lots and lots of stones. :)
