Things You Accomplished in the 9-20-11 Test

1. I finally have my immediate family all on Glitch. (My brother Chancimus Prime, and my mom sapysnaps. Give them a kind welcome, they've never been on the forum before.)

2. I bought my first marsh house! (and my brother bought the one right next door. Expect a double-house party next weekend.)

3. I got up to level 9 in 2 days of playing.

4. I learned the magical glory of the pickle.

5. I Rube'd a Piggy Cubimal for a watering can.

6. I finally got to play again after 2 months of not being able to. (This one's probably the one I'm happiest about.)

Can't wait till Monday!

  • Reading these, I feel incredibly unproductive. But that's not really the point, is it?
Level 11. Got my GNG and a cave in Tallish Crest: my old one was taken, but I still managed the same block. I did a bit mining, but mostly gathered eggs. Because that's how I roll.

  • Level 11, 52 achievements (and now I'm looking forward to getting Completist badges - didn't know those were available).  I developed a fondness for Tinkering in the last test, so I focused on that this time, though I'll be mining soon enough, I'm sure.

I concentrated on collecting a lot more fruit, meat and beans, so as my cooking skills improved, I had the stuff ready to make new recipes.  I thought I might buy a new house elsewhere, but I am so fond of the treehouses in Groddle Forest, I might just go back to my old digs on Tii Street - good location, lots of other players (when I lived in Mien Evoke, I never saw anybody), and the treehouses seem like a good value.

  • I wasn't on for very long.  I only had a very vague strategy and didn't stick to it very well.  But I certainly got to level 6 a lot faster than I did after the last reset, so am impressed I obviously must have learnt a thing or two in between!

  • Hi TKT, love this post, thanks. =) Welcome to Glitch Tyler's family, can't wait to meet you all in game!

This test was incredible. A friend and I really worked together the last two days and bought houses next to each other in the meadow, the ones we wanted. Yay! We planted a wood tree on our street for our neighborhood and got our own trees planted.

Made it to level 13, earned 86 achievements, and learned 18 skills.
Most of all I really enjoyed the game and random hugs and notes to my friends. So very addicted to this awesome game. Thanks Tiny Speck. Roll on glitchez!

  • I want a cubemial toy.  I had half the set before the reset but still finding food hard to come by.  Love relearning all my skills and doing the quests again, well never have finished Rainbow Run or The Rooks egg but I keep trying.  Have a shack right now upgraded from an apartment, but the game ended before I could actually go there, something to look forward to on monday.  Do we all get hearts with our subscriptions, I never noticed before thanks for pointing that out.

Helping a friend get started on her skills as she is on vacation for the next month.  Silly of me to have forgotten how hard for one to get reestablished after a reset let alone 2 little starving Glitchees.  I cannot complain about being bored and it's really funny having another player follow you everywhere so you don't lose them.

Lots of very new things this last test I missed quite a few but there will always be tomorrow or the next day to try them out.

I find the reset exciting but dread when Glitch is open to the public, but will put on my smiley face and look for new friends I just haven't met yet.

Aren't we all lucky we discovered Glitch and have so much fun playing. :)

  • I went straight for the house I wanted, 1111 Tallish Crest, can't beat that house number.
I realized (again) that gardening was a pain and I didn't want to do it.
I said hi to some people I hadn't seen in a long time.

  • I got a 4,000 currant house in Groddle Heights, which I wasn't planning on.  I thought I might want my old house in Tamila back, but someone already bought it!  I'm glad that happened though, because it forced me to buy a mud house instead and I love having my own eggplant, and I'm meeting some of my neighbors and they all seem cool.  And what a difference it is to have a subway stop only three streets away!  However, it's harder to find trees that haven't been petted and watered, and high value quoins in this area.  It's funny how much it's like the city/suburbs debate IRL.

I am trying to get the completist badges because I want my glitch to be a well-traveled glitch.  I only have Ix so far, and I think I should have the Groddle Heights one, but there's a bug.  I hope when they get it fixed that I don't have to travel all of those streets again.

I'm level 12 and I really want my GNG musicblock.  Must play with pickle more!  I got to make 4 trades with the Rube, which was fun.  He always wanted my watering can, which I never gave him.  Someday he's gonna want it so bad he offers me a house in Alakol for it, I just know it.  :p

edited to change my level, cause I'm a dummy.  Felt like I was level 11 forever!

  • 1. Got a house on the same block as two of my closest friends here (pending a third)- we live next door to each other! We're also complimenting each other's skillsets and lack thereof.
    2. Hit level 15
    3. Got AK VI and about 15 piggies and 3 chickens in my backyard
    4. Bought five piggies and a chicken for one of my friends
    5. Invested in Bean stocks (they're going to rise in the future!)
    6. Got a high class hoe and a black watering can
    7. Planted some trees
    8.  Broke a few achievements
    9. Died a couple times (Once while blissfully nibbling a piggy)
    10. Two emblems..
    11. Gardening I

So I think overall I have a good head start!

  • I got back my lovely cave house in Andra. It feels a bit empty though without my butterflies -Annie, Aura- and my piggies -Frijol, Arroz, Brocoli & Manitas- so I'm itching to get the Animal skills necessary to have eggs hatched and get them back.

I visited a lot of streets I'd never been at before, and enjoyed helping random Glitchens with their quests - it's much easier when everyone around is more or less at the same level and working on the same quests. So I made some new friends, too. A huge accomplishment for a shy little Glitchen like myself!
I made a point of carrying seasoned beans with me at all times to plant trees in empty patches here and there. Incidentally, I made it to level 17 and had the odd satisfaction of being in the top ten for a few hours. But above all, I had loads of fun! :)

scheduled my learning so that I'm learning Mining 4 over the weekend :D
Completed some quests that I never did the first time around
MET THE RUBE!  For the first time ever!  Got an orb off of him for a firefly jar
Died three times, all completely by accident... I forgot how HARD it is to stay alive at the low levels!

  • A poem. Ahem.

    18 skills I have learn-èd;
    17, level reached;
    16 (plus a hundred)
    Achievements achieved.

    15 groups a-joined,
    14 henceforth ignored;
    12 hours of game time--
    Cannot cut the cord.

    11 trees fondled,
    10 Jujus outran.
    9, of zie deutsch
    No sprechen, I can.

    8 lords i've outlept;
    7 fireflies lured.
    6 trades with the Rube,
    And 5 piggy turds.

    4 ghosties I've spotted
    In dark depths of Ur.
    3 levels of mining
    Have I had to learn.

    2 emblems groveled,
    And 2 emblems spent.
    1 Sno cone bemoaned
    No room when 'twas sent.

  • I got to level 12, trying to focus on plants and trees, so no mining skills yet.
    got one emblem
    visited many many streets
bought a house, realized it was the wrong one, sold it at 80% and bought another one.  I wasted 1k, but that was offset by multiple Rube trades for cubimals and expensive items.
renamed many, many pigs and chickens and butterflies.  That might be my favorite thing to do on Ur.

  • Got the house I wanted
    Got a pig
Grew three trees in my back yard
    started planting/harvesting awesome stew ingredients
    Got to level 10
Was helped a ton by Audaria and bored no more.  Thank you ladies!!!
Stared my walkabout.  I notice that I tend to go to the same places all the time.  So I've got a plan to visit all the streets (with the possible exception of brand new ones.

  • I achieved my aim of getting an Alacol house - not a 50,000 c one like I used to have but at least the more modest 30,000 c one. I did this with a mixture of mining, roaming the desert and barnacle scrooping. I realised that with mining at a low skill level one is less likely to get good gems, but with barnacles, you are just as likely to get good music blocks, which are quite valuable to sell.
I also got 6 out of 7 ghosts, and a load of badges and learnt mining 1,2 and 3 (4 on the way) and basic cooking and tinkering skills. Going to start on the gardening and animal skills this week.
I got level 13 at the end of it all. Phew!

  • Spent the first day in the mines, working hard trying to follow my plan.
Got bored with mining, always being out of energy, and not really making much cash.
Totally abandoned my carefully laid plans.
Decided to nibble piggies and fondle butterflies instead...
Earned 8 completist badges (would have been 10 except Heights is broke, and don't have key for the last street in Deeps).
    Bought an apartment.
Saved half of the 50k for my dream home.
Mis-timed my first No-No rush and was pooped just after the day started.
Went on a No-No bender right before close and became super pooped for the EOTW parties.
Still searching for a beach so I can kick back a read a book while my crops grow.

  • - I abducted over 20 piggies and released 16 in my room and the rest in my hallway (Gregarious towers, level 10) I will keep abducting more, hoping to flood level 10 and the lobby with piggies so that all Glitchers living there may benefit from an easy supply of meat!

    - Chased a note thief that stole a friendly note from the hallway

    - Experienced my first end of the world

    - Gave a random person (now a friend) 1500 currants to buy an apartment... Generosity first!

  • Athunc, be careful with the piggies!  If they get crowded, they get sad!  16 seems like an awful lot for an apartment.
