Maximum number of piggies, butterflies or chickens in a house?
I've read that you can't have more than 5 butterflies on a street -- how about in a backyard? Are there maximums for any of the animals, assuming I can keep them all fed?
I'm fuzzy on the details, but my friend has a 50k house and she keeps 14 butterflies, 14 piggies and 3 chickens. She came to those amounts after having more...but then some got sick. So I don't know the hard and fast numbers for each size of house but that should help a little.
I guess at LEAST 31 is how many animals you can have? I tried 26 pigs before that (raising the total to 34) and they were depressed. I am wondering if maybe there is a set amount of TOTAL animals you can have... then if you go over that number with any of the 3 animals, that group of animals gets depressed.
Earlier today I saw Beesford Heave (or whatever it's called, southwest in Heights) have 9 butterflies, and the Community gardens next to it also have 9 butterflies. None of them seemed to be in distress while I was there.
I have 16 butterflies - was feeding caterpillars quickly and they complained at 19, but didn't seem to perk up until I released back down to 16. Also, 3 chickens and 20 pigs.
I usually have 25 pigs, 14 Butterflies and 1 Chicken (in an Alakol pen). I think there is a limit on total animals 40 for my house), because I used to be able have more butterflies before I got so many pigs.
I've got a Groddle cave, and I've got 3 chickens, 6 pigs and 6 butterflies. When I tried to add another butterfly, two dropped to the ground. When I released one, they got better. But minutes after that, a pig said "Other animals make me happy", so I made another pig... strange.
I had 13 butterflies, 10 pigs, and 2 chickens. All happy. Then I had 4 butterflies die, so I put out 4 more to replace them. Several of the butterflies then lay on the floor and threw a tantrum about how much the crowding sucked. I let one go. Still sad butterflies. Another died, and they were then happy.
Perhaps it has something to do with the rate at which you add the animals??
I have 16 Piggies, 10 Butterflies, 1 Chicken and the piggies are saying something like "I'm happy with other animals", I plan to add more, but I do it slowly, so I can check that they don't feel crowded. I heard that the limit is around 30.
so far in my 50k house , i have 25 pigs , 13 butterflies , and 13 chickens. I tried to have 15 each of butterflies and chickens but had to free 2 of each cause of overcrowding.
I don't think it's good if it's too crowded. I saw a bunch of Piggies/Butterflies/Chickens depressed in Somewhat Sump. I really feel for them.... *Cry*
I dont know how you guys get so many animals all happy. I have a 50k, but as soon as I got over 20 pigs and 2 butterflies things went south. I logged in and my 2 flies were dead and my pigs were all sad...
I always keep my feeders stocked, and I occasionally sit around and try and pet every one.. To no avail.
I used to have 30 pigs plus one butterfly and one chicken, until my butterfly died yesterday. (I don't believe the butterfly died of overcrowding. It was never sad. I think it died because I've had it for a while already). Sometimes the pigs say that other animals would make them happy, but they're still moving around and seem okay. For the last three or four pigs I put in, I would put them in one at a time. Each time the pigs complained of overcrowding (and got depressed and at least half of them stopped moving and looked sad), but I left it and when I came back later they were all happy and moving around again. I think they just needed some time to adjust. I petted some of them too, to see if that helps, but it's hard to pet all of them ^^;; and I'm not sure if it helped in the end. I also have 5 feeders and 6 collectors. When I leave for the night and log on the next day, I come back to full collectors. I've been deliberating on whether to try adding another one or not... Oh! This is a 50k Alakol house by the way.
I just tried adding an eight butterfly in a different room of my bog house and it immediately flitted down to the room where the others are flying. Then it expressed a lot of unhappiness. But I named it 'Sad Butterfly' and let it complain for a little while. Now they all seem happy. Maybe we can 'push' the population limits a little if we're patient and slowly add animals. I don't have any other animals in the house as I am going with a milk-based diet for now.
