New Low: People stealing pies?

**After Zilloween the lighted pumpkins we had turned into pumpkin pies**

When I logged on and went to my street home I noticed all my pumpkins were gone. When I went to my friends street I was surprised to see he had pumpkin pies all around his house so I went back to my house for a 2nd look. After I got there some random person appeared on my street saying he was looking for rocks to mine. I'm starting to think my pies were stolen grrrr

  • That's an old low. Pie snatching is a nasty business.

  • Your post doesn't make any sense.  You had pumpkins, not pies.

  • Rufus you simpleton, the pies turned into pumpkins after Zilloween.

  • ... What?

  • Do you have pigs on that street? They will eat pies.
Posted 8 months ago by MaryLiLamb Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I got rid of all those nasty pigs but I have tons of chickens
Posted 8 months ago by Polly Nomial Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Don't they turn into pepitas?  Mine did.

Maybe if I'd lit them, they'd be pies?

  • That is just the way it goes. Leave your pumpkins out the day after Zilloween is over and they will be turned into pies. Just like every other type of food that is dropped on the floor of your front yard is up for grabs by anyone (unless they're blocked).
It's not stealing. If you wanted the pies you should of brought the pumpkins in before Zilloween ends.
It's just like when teens go smashing all the left out pumpkins on Halloween.

  • simpleton?  you change the original post to clarify what I was questioning and then offer up an ad hominem attack?  what are you, 12 years old?
Posted 8 months ago by Mablem Tiipot Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Sys Rq, yes, lit lanterns turn into pies and unlit carved pumpkins turn into pepitas.

  • Molly Butters, if you want some pies, I can give you some I have tons. I'd be more than happy to.

  • pigs on your street? they will eat pies quite fast, before I can steal them.

  • Look out for the frog!!!  :D Pies coming your way!

There may be people who steal pies but there are people who will give you pies and that is what Glitch is all about.

  • Now that burp should make you giggle Molly! Just remember what I said re: not stressing.  Be the cool cookie ; )

  • I also was not around to actually **take** anyones pies, because I have enough of my own food and really don't care enough to steal things.  My pigs ate my non-lit pumpkins/pepitas/whatevs.

  • Hi thank you everyone for the replies and pies, it wasn't about the pies, I was annoyed that someone stole my surprise from the game. When I went to my friends house it was really cool to see all the pies that were left for him. If I had not gone to his house I never would of known about the pies.

To Rufus, when you give out negativity you should expect to receive it back. Don't all adults know if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all?

  • Cardinal, its the whole jist of it.  Someone went on Molly's street and deliberately took it.  Anyway Molly, I am sure you already have a lot of pies coming you way, but i will send one to you right when i get to a mail box :)

  • Pies suck anyway.  I can only eat like 4-5 before I really feel full.  Maybe 8-9 if I am really hungry.

lol. You indicted your own thread here. Oh, the irony.

And, btw, my pointing out that your post doesn't make sense (and it didn't until you edited it) isn't negative.

  • I think that the pie disappearance must have been down to the brightly colored analgesic birds, for is it not written that the parrots eat 'em all?

  • Someone please come take my pies, I still have leftovers from last Zilloween. I have other food and drinks on my street for the taking, too! And crops, and herbs! And rocks and fireflies and peat and dirt! Please come by. Please I beg of you. Oh God I'm so lonely. Hold me. Where was I? Oh, yes. Pies! Free Pies! Come on by for your fill o' pie! Promise I won't creepily emerge from behind the purple bush and proceed to follow you around the rest of the night. Promise.

  • mm, the pies tasted good.

Excellent use of the word "simpleton", too.

  • I think the post didn't need clarifying because carved pumpkins turn into pies after Zilloween, and so the original post made perfect sense. Also perhaps the use of the word simpleton could have been a term of endearment akin to calling someone silly because of the need for such clarification in light of what is assuredly common knowledge. If it had been taken that way, (even if that wasn't the intent) there would have been no need for argument...its called letting things go. I for one am going to remember to use the word simpleton next time one of my friends does something deserving. Thanks for reminding me that word existed.^^
