We definitely have no plans for any additional resets after this one. I hope that answers your question while remaining sufficiently vague and political that no one gets mad at me.
I think that having resets periodically would be a great idea, especially since it seems already be built into the storyline. Games like this tend to stagnate after a while. High level people get bored because they run out of things to do and people who play less often or start later feel like they can't 'catch up'. Also, the reset lets devs fix bugs, restart the economy and generally tweak parameters. The key though is to tell people now so its just part of the game and they expect it.
OMG, Anthropocene, no! How many people would be willing to play for an extended period of time and pay to do so if everything they're doing now is temporary and will be wiped away at a particular time whether they like it or not? If you want to start over, start a new account...
Totally agree, Shepherdmoon!! Start a new account, or have an option to reset your own Glitchling, you know, if you want to keep your friends and stuff, but want to be able to re-do the earlier quests.
the real solution is to make the game compelling over an ongoing period by giving players sufficient tools to build "things to do" so that we never run out.
@Anthropocene - I understand completely where you're coming from, however, I agree with Shepherdmoon and RachelFrost - I want the satisfaction of working toward a goal and completing it. Moving on to something bigger and better. AND having it remain checked off my list. I think I'd lose my mind if I had to redo everything say every six months. BUT, I could deal with the game being down every so often for the fixes and tweaks could occur. As long as it wasn't for too long. I'd have withdrawals and that is NOT a pretty thing. LOL It's going to be difficult enough to handle it this time around even tho I knew it was coming.
