Zobquet, there is a difference between making 'posts' and creating threads. As Beaneio, you asked a similar question and many gave you good advice about perhaps keeping all your posts in one thread, as opposed to starting a lot of new ones.
Perhaps this is why some of your threads are being shut down? I don't think it is personally down to Stoot; it is just Tiny Speck staff trying to tidy up multiples and duplicates that clog up the forums and cause confusion.
I think the reasons they are getting shut down are 1) you are creating so many, especially when they should be in Off-Topic, and 2) you are trying to use the forums as a chatroom.
Do you have facebook? maybe next time when the game is open, find out your friend's facebook accounts and chat with them there when the game is closed.
Well, several of us are on Facebook, MySpace, and Google+. These are social sites that provide personal chatting. You have tended to open multiple threads that have no other stated purpose but as a way to get people talking to you. Keep it to a single thread in Off Topic as other posters have suggested and you'll see that your posting probably won't get locked. Right now @stoot and the other members of Tiny Speck have been working on cleaning up and organizing these boards in preparation for this games anticipated release. It's not personal. I've had one of my own older threads locked not to long age and, after private conversation with the staff member who did it, I agreed it was appropriate. They simply just don't have the time right now to explain in detail about what prompts such action. Just understand it is for a good reason and it isn't to hurt you.
Dearest ZoBQuET, the truth is I personally do not know why your posts are being closed.
However, I have an idea that it is because you have made these posts very personal. These posts/threads are for game questions or information that helps others to play the game.
It appears to me that you want to communicate with other players as though this were a twitter page or a F-book page. You have many friends on Glitch and you have received very good advise from some of them on this question. Your posts are not the only posts that have been closed, I had one of mine closed and I have seen others' post closed also. I did not take this personal and I ask you to do the same. No one is trying to stop you from enjoying the forums.
May I suggest:
1:If you must; write notes through your glitch home page via your friends list.
2: Keep only one ZoBeQuET thread going so friends can look and answer you.
3: Post only on game issues.
4: Do not take personal that threads or posts are discontinued.
Glitch staff truly are here to help you and others enjoy the game, not one staff member is doing a personal attack on you!
Hope this helps you my friend.
Joy
Actually, a search of the forum shows at least 12 open posts by ZobQuet/Beaneio. And they pretty much seem to be all the threads that I can remember you starting. So actually I don't think your posts are being shut down, as I check the forums pretty often and all your posts that I have seen are still open. Maybe they are just off the first page of posts and you haven't looked at the other pages.
I am Aero and am p****d because they closed your posts.. no really... very very p****d
But the devs can do what they feel is right. I would also suggest that you just stay with one random post. I also have a lot of posts closed, seriously (because I love everyone).... no i donno what im saying.. really... yes im tr******g
ZoB, 'all your posts' are not being shut down. Only 3 of them have been shut down. I just did a search, 8 posts of yours are still up and running IIRC. Maybe you could send a message to one of the devs next time the game is open to get an answer from them.
Hey, ZoBQuET: I understand why you are frustrated by this. When I looked at the thread that g33kgurrl linked to above, I see nothing had been posted on the thread for 14 days. Then you bumped it up by posting "hey" on it. I think the reason it was locked is because it didn't serve much purpose. If you just want to say hi and start a conversation, you can do that through your homepage with your friends, as has been suggested and as I've seen you do. The point of the forums is more to post about very specific things that you want to talk about with other people, not just general conversation starters (like hello). So, when you come up with some ideas for the game or thoughts on something that is Glitch related you can start a forum topic about it, or just simply reply to other people's threads when you see something you want to contribute to. Have fun with it!
Ah. Ok. The OP has a learning disorder. Dyslexia among other things. He's an older teenage boy currently going to school in Canada. He's a sweet kid. That's why I look past his misspellings and avoid making light of it. But that WAS a funny link. :)
I'm still not sure I understand how babby is formed. Also, on any other forum, the amount of trolling would have been off the hook - this is prolly the nicest group I've ever been a part of.
Would you please at least try and spell, your posts are hard to read and usually don't make much sense. Maybe you shouldn't bother to create a thread since you don't have anything to really write about.
@xoxJulie - some Glitcherini have itchy trigger fingers... they are very quick to reply with something cruel. I myself have been guilty of this sin.. I am making an effort to think before I reply but there is great satisfaction from making zingers..... Do not take offense or think yourself dissed.
This is a place for free expression If you post here you must take responsibility and accept whatever comes your way.
