Realistic/more appealing visual stacking of decorations/etc.

Specifically when I'm arranging my SDBs along my wall, i find that they don't visually stack in a way that looks realistic, Because of the view point, the top row of SDBs should hang over the next row down, because of the visual perspective of the game. Rather than stacking this way, they seem to just stack based on which one I set down first, so If I'm not careful about how I place them, and I'm trying to keep them as close together as possible, they layer over eachother in a way that looks like some kind of M.C escher painting (Physically Impossible) and sort of un-immerses me visually, making the boxes seem more like icons and less like physical boxes. And yes, I am the biggest nit-picker in the world, but I figure this has to have bothered someone else, and it doesn't hurt to mention it.

  • Yeah, I hadn't thought about the shelves. I had noticed the thing with the walls, but I figured it looked better than if they had just made the walls a a straight vertical line with no visibility of the wall itself. I like being able to see my doors and such. Now that you said that about the shelves I won't be able to unsee it though lol. And lol at making the same Escher reference the same day haha. Hivemind and all that.
