Excellent. Bu is there a reason not all the hairstyles will work with hats, yet again. For example I switched to a new one and my hat has disappeared. It will really annoying.
www.glitch.com/snaps/PUVTV7... love this style though is a bit messy <3 I also wish more girly styles too and that our hairs wouldn't disappear when wearing some hats
Yes, the new hairstyles are cute. Thanks for making a few free! Love some of the additional skintones, and glad we got some darker ones, but yes, seems like a few are pretty close to the same thing. Would have liked some more hair colors too (still waiting on fluorescent pink, and have to agree with the other person that posted in the bugs that we need black back...or at least to be back in black...). Still would love some eyes with glasses and ears with earrings. Overall, thanks...glad to see so much work being done on vanity. Looking forward to all the additional wardrobe surprises, I'm sure you have in store too...
Tibbi, re "Bu is there a reason not all the hairstyles will work with hats, yet again."
Yes, there is, and it's same reason as always: some of them are just too hard. If there was no reason, we'd just make them all work :) So, some hat/hair combos work, some don't.
Tibbi, bored no more, Lila: we've tried to make as many of the new hairstyles work with hats as possible. Unfortunately there will always be some combinations that won't work.
On the other hand - why would you want to hide your cool new hairdo with a hat anyway? The more basic styles work with all hats and let you show off the accessories in their full glory. I realize that there's an attachment factor involved but... just a thought! ;)
I'm rather disappointed that all the new skin colors are so dark. My glitch's features just don't stand out against dark colors. And, as Uniquely Prime pointed out, some of them are awfully close to previous colors. Why can't we get more light "non-weird" colors? Something closer to white and some more light beige colors would be nice. Oh well, I shouldn't complain too much :-)
sugarQb - As a derby girl, I'd love to have better hair that works under my makeshift helmet. For the moment, my helmet is off, but that's just...not safe!
Becky, Uniquely Prime and others: thanks for voicing your opinion and we'll definitely take it into consideration when prepping the next batch of colors.
Thanks, sugarQB. I like to match skin and hair to the clothes, and sometimes I'd rather have a "blank canvas", which is where my desire for white comes in. Black is also good for a neutral background, but like I said, many of the facial features just don't stand out very well against dark colors.
I object!!! Pinkish discrimination!! No just a teeny bit darker color than naked mole rat? My glitch wants to sport a slight tint while wearing her bathing suit!
There was a request a while ago for darker skin colors and I think it really makes sense for this to be one of the requests they made sure they addressed.
Thank you! Many of the new hairstyles are so pretty. But I agree that the new skin colors are too dark, too drab, too similar and not very attractive. We already have a thousand ways to look strange and non-human. I wish we had more ways to look like pretty people.
Originally there were free skin colors in all the colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, beige and gray). Many requests were made for there to be free colors that were darker-toned. Although I'm perfectly happy with my Macha Green, I appreciate TS's response to those other requests.
BogBlossum, I believe part of the requests for darker skin colors was to get a broader representation of human skin colors available too. I see multiple skin colors that are marked new and do not qualify as non-human in any way. Also, keep in mind that to some people, the non-human color options (for lack of a better term) are the best way to look pretty.
Magic Monkey, most of the darker skin colors seem to be deep greys, greens and blues, not human at all. Pretty means pretty (a : pleasing by delicacy or grace; b : having conventionally accepted elements of beauty). I understand that pretty is not for everyone but neither is quirky, funky, scary, grungy or whatever. Keep in mind that those of us who want to look pretty (in the commonly understood, dictionary sense of the word) would like to have choices too.
There's plenty of ways to be pretty without hating on the new colors.
I think (I don't know - I tend to classify my skin color as reflectively pale - but in my understanding) that some people would identify with "darker skin" to a certain degree that even if they wish to create a character that is blue or green, they would want a darker type of blue or green.
