What personal projects are you going to do?

We have people trying to establish businesses, folks trying to keep ecological balance, people hiding eggs, fullest house contests, and new sports (Dev Jumping!).
The next test my plan is to get a bag worth or gems, hide it in a very devious location (already have a couple picked out) and then start placing notes through out the world with clues. Keep an eye out for Glitchy Slickers 2: The Legend of Bacon-o's Gems!
What about you?

  • Make people laugh...
So far my favorite is running around like a chicken squawking at people. Every time someone gives me a hug, I give them grain.

    Make people smile...
The Easter Egg hunt was just one of many efforts. I think everyone had fun with it, so I'll do more down the road.

Truthfully, I'm mainly focused on making the world a little more accessible to others. It might be taking the time to explain something, answer a question, or help someone else with a mission or goal. As everyone becomes more familiar with the world, guess I'll spend more time on my antics.

  • Lol Lord Bacon-o!  My personal quests are not as elaborate as what I have seen so far (they are all great too!)
I like to say that I aspire to be Cosma's greatest pupil, devote follower, & radiant Glitch.  I also like to randomly chase down various Dev's and see if I can catch them... and let me tell you.. that is no easy fete!

  • My personal project, that I attempt every time the game is open, is to get my inventory into some kind of logical order, clean all the crap off the floor of my house, and teach my gnome a few witty remarks. But every time I try to get these things done something shiny catches my attention and away I go ending up many miles?...kilometers? from home. Sigh...

  • i actually invented another sport last test, beyond dev jumping.

maybe i should start a forum post describing it so other people can play it.

i wasn't able to test it much, since it was near the end of the test that i invented it, but lelu and i found it compelling enough do play for well more than half an hour straight.

  • During Alpha, and going into Beta, I was giving out home loans to those who didn't have the currants saved up yet, but wanted a house.

  • I loved the group project the Faunasphere Refugees did where we set out to put more pigs in Shimla Mirch and then name them varations of the word "soon" (the FS moderators always used to tell us game features were coming soon but as here, that word kinda lost all meaning). We had fun coordinating the resources and who could name pigs and stuff.

A small personal project I did was planting trees in my neighborhood when I moved in because at the time I was the first person on the block. So I enjoyed putting in a couple varieties of trees to welcome the neighbors.

I don't have any more planned yet, but I definitely can see myself coming up with ideas and planning more stuff like that. Lord Bacon-o, your gem hunt sounds downright awesome. What a great idea:)

  • On my all these creative juices flowing - I am excited and duly impressed.

Have not participated in any "group" endeavour yet but will go to the top of the queue as soon as we are back in the game.......... Dah! not quite sure how to do that but alas I will find out............Super people play "Glitch" and I am proud to be part of it.

I miss FS but with you guys working so hard no doubt “Glitch" will fill the hole.

  • One thing great about Glitch is that it does not limit you on what you can do in the world. You don't have to do everything the "Rock" tells you, as its tells you.

As for personal goals, I've currently set up myself to learn the skill sets one at a time. Now I'm focusing on the Animal Kinship skills and will probably move on to the Gardening skills afterwards. The first time I played Glitch, I was trying to balance learning all the skills but noticed that though I had a lot of lower level skills enabled, I still was mining heavily to earn currants --- leaving a lot of the other skills unused. Eventually decided to focus on one skill. Doesn't earn me as much currants but it does provide sufficient rewards to get my Glitch through every day.

  • I plan on passing out no-no powder to all of the new players. Once they get addicted, they'll have to buy more, and who better to buy it from than me? Eh heh heh.

  •  I am planning on doing group projects. Unfortunately I did not know about them till the close time :( Oh and learning skills, while dreaming about glitch in my sleep is fun.

  • I just want to make more friends, clean up my inventory, learn more skills, get a house (I play slowly so I don't have one yet)

  • I spent a fair amount of the last test trying to amass a bag of jewels for my treasure hunt. Done! And I have a good start on collected paper to spread my clues on. Sadly, I didn't lock down my hiding place before the test finished. I was hoping to be able to this down time writing clues. Erumph.

  • The simplest and most obvious quest for me is to explore every street and location.  This seems to have no end but does give me something to do while I contemplate what to do next.

  • I tend to have several projects running concurrently. And I let myself get distracted and sidetracked a LOT.

At the moment I'm randomly dipping in and out of the following:
    - visiting not-yet-visited streets (now more fun thanks to the greasemonkey script. Yays!)
    - hiding things for others to find, like green eggs, apples, drinks, gems, emblems, bags, etc. I also like to leave random gifts at my neighbours' front doors.
    - collecting/ incubating pigs for my garden and butterflies for my street. I had a plan a while back to turn my whole street blue with butterflies. But then there was the thing with too many animals slowing down streets loading, etc, so I've changed the goal to 'add a butterfly to my street now and again'.  Seems more sensible.
    - finding level ones (or level 2s, 3s... anyone below about level 6) and giving them bags and emblems. Also piggy plop. The uncertain 'Thanks...??!' always makes me giggle. Oh, I also like giving away gameshow tickets and watch people work out what to do with them.
-2 tests ago I renamed pretty much every pig I came across in a Royal-Wedding theme. I found it hilarious at the time. No, really, I did.
-hugging/ kissing devs. Especially when they're asleep /afk.  Sometimes I splank them, too. For good measure. And leave them apples. I'm sure they need/ deserve all of the above. They probably know why.

Biggest distractions from the above Masterplan of Action:
    - sometimes i get obsessive about making the next level up, so I'll mine and donate like a deranged person until finally- 'Ta-da-da-daaaaaah!' hooray! Utterly pointless but ever-so-satisfying goal achieved!
    - similarly I get fixated on projects and simply mustmustMUST! donate and be active in the new streets chat. More guano! more talc!! more lumpy earths!!! It can be surprisingly addictive.
