You agree not to create a username that: (i) impersonates someone else, including another user, (ii) is illegal or is protected by trademark or other proprietary rights laws, or may cause confusion, (iii) is or may be considered vulgar, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise offensive, and/or (iv) is otherwise inappropriate. You agree that we reserve the right to refuse, change, or delete any username at any time and for any reason.
I just checked the ToS and there's nothing there about multiple accounts, but there is something about impersonating someone else.
EDIT: I am pretty sure that selling or trading accounts would be in the ToS somewhere. Better to just delete those alts so that it frees up the names.
"Except as expressly permitted through the Service, you agree that you cannot sell or otherwise transfer any of the Credits, Currants or Items, or any other content or information included in the Service to any user or other third party, including on Internet auction sites (e.g., eBay) or in return for anything of value (including "real" money) or otherwise."
Personally my reading is that Troll King's OK doing this. In what way is trading a username & the user's items for a dozen awesome stews different from trading a cubimal for a dozen awesome stews?
Only significant difference I can think of is that you also get the new account's skills & achievements. I guess you could look on that as a 'power levelling' service. But even read as that, it's not being exploited for commercial purpose.
"any other content or information included in the Service" seems pretty clear to me.
But, with a strict reading, why wouldn't that line apply to me trading you a cubimal for an awesome stew?
Agreed you can trim that paragraph to "you cannot transfer any Items, or any other content included in the Service to any user, in return for anything of value or otherwise.". The only proviso is the opening clause which says "Except as expressly permitted..." - so you can trade a cubimal for an awesome stew because Tiny Speck say you can (implicitly via the game mechanism), but you can't trade an account for an awesome stew because Tiny Speck haven't said that you can (or can't).
Though not specifically stated in the ToS, reserving names by registering alts and trading them for your main account's benefit is clearly against the spirit of what we're offering here, and is not ok.
