SDB that we can approve a sale of the contents within

Say we want to be sure all of a item we have set a low price on, aren'tt all bought up by one person.  We'd get a mail saying "so-and-so" wants to buy item X in this SDB.  Then we approve or decline it.

  • -1 The SDB's vending is set up so it can be bought when you aren't even in game. So this would defeat that purpose. Aside from that sales are just that sales, anyone that is looking to buy items, will logically go for the lower priced ones, if you way under price its not surprising that those items are never there long. People cant know your intentions, for how you price and why, everyone will presume your offering a deal because you have a surplus of that item. If you want to control who gets your items, hand them to ppl, put them in a free pile, or advertise in the the Trade Channel.

  • It makes more sense to just have item limits, which I have heard are under consideration.   When I go to the store and something is on sale for a really good price there is often a "limit 2 per customer" clause.

Still, if you set a low price, people are going to buy your stuff one way or another.   Wanting to have an SDB of low priced items that nobody gets to buy is sort of missing the point.

  • You can do something like this using a 2nd SDB (just no limits per player)

  • Sounds like a bait and switch: hey look an item for a low price, aw I can't buy it.

The devs are better off spending their time on non-micromanage features. This seems like the kind of thing only a few would want or use.

  • Maybe your concern is when someone prices an item way way below cost for helping newbies or such, and someone comes in and buys everything in one swoop.    All I can say is the sdb's aren't the right venue for that.
