Cheffery 3 worse than Cheffery 2??

Is it me or costs cooking with your Frying Pan more energy with Cheffery 3 than Cheffery 2?

I'm sure messy fry-up and mexicali eggs were -3 energy with Cheffery 2 and are now -4 energy (with Cheffery 3). What's up with that?

  • Energy costs should go down as your skills improve, unless that was part of the tweak to recipes that was announced a couple days ago.

  • Victoria: I was unable to re-produce what you reported. For me, Messy Fry-up and Mexicali Eggs take 6 energy each with both Cheffery 2 and Cheffery 3.

The "energy cost" of cooking recipes generally does not change when you upgrade to a higher level of the same skill. Please let me know if you still see the numbers you reported, and I might be able to look into it further.

  • Mart Lume, the recipes say it takes -6 energy but when you actually make a Messy Fry-up it takes -4 energy. When I had only Cheffery 2 that was -3 energy, I've been keeping track of this and I'm 99% sure (maybe I made a mistake somewhere).

What I know for sure is that all the lower-level Frying pan recipes take less energy to fry now than when I had Cheffery 1. Bun 2 -> 1, Divine Crepes 7 ->5, etc.

This is not new, it was the same during beta. I reported many recipes back than that displayed the "wrong" energy info, that's the reasont I'm keeping track this time.

I bugged it just now, maybe that helps!

  • @Mart Lume: "generally", the energy cost of cooking recipes halves when you upgrade to a higher level of the same skill. It seems to function differently for cheffery though due to the presence of 3 skills instead of the usual 2. For all the other skills though, the amount of energy you spend does get cut in half when you get the level 2 skills. The displayed cost doesn't change though, which can be exceedingly frustrating when you HAVE enough energy to make something but the game insists that you do not because it's still acting like you have only the level 1 skill.
