How do you activate your quoin multiplier?

I have accumulated a bunch of multipliers, but quoins still only give me around what they used to before. (Actually, somewhat less, but I figure that was because of my lowish mood at the time I was trying it out.) What do I need to do to get the multiplier to kick in?

  • You absolutely need to be at full winky mood to take full advantage of your quoin multiplier number. And you don't have to kick it in. It is always in affect. It looks like you only at 18 right now. Keep buying cards for it to go up.

  • I've got mine up to 49.5. When in pretty good mood or better, currant quoins produce 50 currants and Imagination quoins produce 60 iMG.

So... it definite works if you buy enough. :)

I've noticed that my iMG from petting and nibbling piggies has gone up since I increased it so high... not sure if it's related or just a tweak, but I consistently get 12 iMG per nibble or pet (at Animal Kinship VII, to be clear), more than the 10 I was getting before my last batch of quoin multiplier purchases.

  • Credulous, I don't think it's related. I get 12 img per pet and nibble and my quoin multiplier is only about 7. It might be related to another upgrade card, though.

  • 12 img per pig was the same as xp.  When img first launched, we weren't getting that much per pet/nibble, but there were cards that put it back to normal, I think

  • Where can you see how high your quoin multiplier is?

  • Go to your profile, scroll down, and see your [insert number here] other upgrades.

  • I've been wondering whether the Quoin Multiplier cards are really worth it. Spending around 700,000 iMG pushed my multilier to 36.6x. That's a lot of quoins to collect to recoup the cost.

  • It's a long term investment thing. The idea is that it will eventually pay for itself after a while, and THEN you start reaping the benefits.

Also, make sure you're running through the ancestral lands a lot.

  • Aye, the Ancestral Lands are the only thing that will make it pay off in a reasonable time.

But even without iMG payoff, it means that I can quickly get my (over-elevated) energy and mood up very quickly, and can make pretty good dough just slurping up coins.

Also, at least in my case, what was I going to do with all that iMG? It doesn't take that much to expand your land and put in goodies, so I figured a high multiplier would be a fun thing.

  • I still don't think that it works as it should.  Spent a lot of img on those upgrades and still not seeing much benefits.  I think mine is close to 20 now.

  • What you need top remember that is that a 100% quoin multiplier card adds 100% of your original base value (which was one), not 100% of your current multiplier. So a 100% card add 1 to your multiplier and a 20% quoin multiplier card adds 0.2 to your multiplier.

  • They definitely work but you see it more at  higher numbers.  I like that it's no longer tied to level and energy pool; with my mult I get 74 energy (or 89 img), so with my low daily reset, they're really valuable.

  • I tend to play Glitch as an aside, so collecting a few quions then jump /home is something I do a lot. So, the multiplier is a good deal for me.

With AK7, 500 iMG is 15 pigs or so, so easy to rack up iMG I find.

  • Oh, the base value is one? That explains it. I thought it was the same as it used to be. XP Never mind then, mine's working fine.
