Botler has amnesia?

I just checked in with Brabinger; he said "Oh, I have 1 Pumpkin Pie, but I don't remember who gave it to me. It must be for you!" and sure enough, there was a pumpkin pie!

Bug, feature, easter egg? Is it a real gift and he just can't/won't say who left it, or is it like a random harvesting drop? There was also a message (no gift attached), and I had given him some panini to hand out, at least one of which had been claimed, in case any of that makes any difference.

And if it was you who gave it to him to give to me, thank you!

  • I'm not sure but I think the botler only remembers visitors for the game day they visited.

  • I had a friend ask if I'd ever received a bunch of the things she'd left for me...I hadn't, and she said that my Botler had stopped accepting more than 1 stack of items from her...wouldn't you know, a couple weeks go by, and suddenly, he remembered a bunch of the things she'd left...and just like you, Jinkies had forgotten who left them...thankfully, I knew who it was, so I could thank her properly!

  • Thanks, Octo. That would make sense.

Goodness, Dahlia Dreadnought, that is a forgetful botler! Now that I think about it, I wonder if this pie was from the last Zilloween? Perhaps we need to send them off for memory upgrades.

  • Mine is a pea brain.  It's memory is worse than mine.  I'd trade him for a good old mailbox in an instant.

  • My Miss Sunshine likes to play tricks on me all the time. I'm about to run off with the arm she keeps dropping.

  • Gosh, I find that adorable!

But,  yes, mine has amnesia.  I "set post" only to have Pablo Honey wander back off to his old, pre-set post.  Okay, fine, I tried again because I want my welcoming committee to be on the side of the house where the entrance sign is.  Nuh uh, he just finds his way back every time.  "I like it on the wrong side of the house, thank you very much", he says.

  • Well daniel, as they are Non Playing Characters, or NPCs, I guess it would be okay for one to call them botlers..

  • We are unsure why your faithful servant is forgetful in times like this. However the Executive Director of the Butler Education Office of Ur is looking at possible cures for this condition.
