Pristine Pickle or extract the GNG?

Is there any reason to keep a pristine pickle these days, or is it better to extract the GNG musicbox and sell them separately? Just curious since I heard that there was a bug at one point that allowed a few people to reset the pickle. So I would guess the pickle's value is the same regardless of it's GNG status.

Thoughts?

  • If you can confirm that a pickle is pristine, then it would be worth a pickle and a GNG, since the new owner would be able to get a GNG from it.

  • I wouldn't expect there's an easy way to confirm it - and in any case, that at least seems to be what the market in general thinks.  When I was in the market for a pickle there was one price, not two prices for musicpickles and nonmusicpickles so I'd imagine you're better off extracting it.

  • @diaveborn You can if you got it at the end of beta, and never played with it, like I did.

  • Same here Sludge, but I think diaveborn means there is no way to PROVE it was never extracted.
