Trade Currants for REAL Money

Would be nice if one could trade Currants for some real currency as to justify all the time online. Then even more people would join & stay online longer to earn more money!!!

  • No way.  I really don't want to see Glitch become another gold mining site.

  • you could get a job as a game tester.. then you'll get paid to spend hours and hours running into rocks over and over to check collision detection in "my little pony 7, revenge of the pigtails"

  • nothing stopping you from arranging private paypal transactions out of game with other players...

but, um, yeah.. kinda sketchy, and, well, currants aren't worth the paper they're penpersonhip'd on

  • Well the real reason this is stupid is it's the reverse of what tinyspeck wants.

Glitch, when it opens to the public, is probably going to be like farmville or some of these other new games where you buy things with real world money to get stuff in game, booster packs, in game content, etc.

This is the new profit paradigm for games...

  • The devs have said they don't want paying players to be able to gain significant advantage over non-paying players. So... I don't think it'll be like farmville's system.

  • The ToS that was just written does not allow for selling in-game stuff for real world monetary value, so I doubt we'll see the idea happen.

I sure hope it doesn't anyway. Ick.
