So how are the chickens doing?

Black Recurse, a day of irrational terror
There's never a day that has been any drerror.
Our bodies are aching from squeezing all over.
It even won't help when we roll in the clover.
We tell them we've emptied out all of our pockets
But nobody cares. They continue to sock-its.
The day that was meant to just celebrate Pi
Has turned into terror. I just want to die!
If things don't begin to start turning the tide,
We all might as well just commit suicide.
So we ask you to help us in some sort of way.
To help us forget all the pain of this day.
So how 'bout you all will just give us a break?
We all are so tired. Our lives are at stake.
So just do not squeeze us. If you do, it's rude.
We'll appreciate all of your fine gratitude.
And do not forget that it will come again.
More torture and trauma for each working hen.
So take time to honor on day March Fifteen.
The worst day of terror we've never foreseen.
So please do not squeeze us. Or we'll go to Hell.
If you do not squeeze us we'll still serve you well.
And plase take some time out your life full of pride
And thank us for all of the grain we provide.

  • I do admit to tormenting numerous Chickens today.  I blame it on Pi.  I got carried away but I promise to be much kinder tomorrow (maybe).

  • I've squeezed chickens today, yes I have.
And when I read your poem it made me sad.
But I hope they'll all forgive me, you see,
I still need them for another Pi (or three).

  • I thought Butterfly lotion would sooth their backsides. . .
But it didn't work, no matter how hard I tried.

  • I suspect chickens are mostly made of that squooshy foam stuff that no matter how hard you squooze it, goes right back to shape. They are fine.

    Good job on the poem/song.
