Definitely not right now - I think you'll have to wait for more to be released. Right now they want to test placing furniture, so there is no reason to give us anything but a flat floor to place furniture on. I think it's safe to guess that more customizations are coming.
I think the future holds all kinds of amusing and amazing customizations. Bogs, Jungles, Mountains, Oceans, Deep Space. I want to live on a space station. :)
I'm pretty sure I remember both Stoot and Bees saying that we'd be able to make our houses more boggish (or one of several other variations I'm guessing) in a later update.
ETA: For now I'm taking a lot of comfort in the fact that my current marshy abode has not gone away. The bright cheerful "test box" is fun but definitely doesn't feel like home yet- I tried moving a few of my things in and they looked as out of place as I felt so I for one am going to hold off on moving or trying to feel like that little box is "home" until we're a little further along....
Stoot did say there would be more than one template.
This is just a test, using just one template and a limited number of pieces of furniture and decorations. This is not your final home and you will be moved to the permanent one later, after this testing is finished. Then you will be able to choose from a number of templates
i'm going to be a very sad little glitchen when i lose my bog house. i like the dark places! i don't want to be domesticated! i don't know how i could live in a normal house... it would be a bit like making a yeti live in an apartment!
I just do no understand why people keep insisting they are losing their bog house when every indication is that you are not at all. The devs have repeatedly said they will have multiple templates for housing and their settings just as we currently do - just more customization. If you want a bog house design a bog house. One tiny little test of one small aspect of the new housing is no reason to get all weepy and ignore what we have been told over and over about what the current test is and what is coming later. Jeesh.
