Piggy nom nom NOM NOM

I just noticed that when I harvested a tree around starved piggies, they all rushed to crowd around the tree so they could ravenously chow on its bounty. Is this new? It seems like before, they would just stop and say "Yum!" if they happened to be walking by. Now, it looks more deliberate. It's funny!

  • Until recently, I noticed precisely what you're describing whenever I changed the number of "fruit" on a tree - that is, a pet that replenished, or a harvest that reduced would trigger it, but watering, or petting when the tree was full didn't.

Lately, it seems the pigs in my yard feed themselves when they're hungry, but not all pigs are created equally. Some manage to be too dumb to live, ignoring piles upon piles of spinach and fruited trees.

  • If the piggys on a street don't have a feeder, they will feed from the trees. BUT the trees need to be petted and watered for them to be able to feed!  I had a piggy die in my back yard that way!  Ran out of feeder food and no one to pet/water trees.  Sniff.

Well, there's the lesson for today!
