After having been a complainer about some of the past feats, I want to say good job on the latest ones. I particularly like the "The Incantations of Absurdity" because it caused us to organize into groups and travel through the world. Lots of fun!
I love it! Had a blast travelling with a group. Now, you have me wondering though, did you set us up to purposely fail the invite feat, so we could do this more awesome feat?
(The invite feat got me to use some invites to invite people I should've invited anyway, so I didn't mind.)
It's funny and I also like the Feats that get us out into Ur to do things. This one is not good for me for various reasons but it is a fun one. I was at Gregarious Grange when it started. I knew nothing about it and heard this ridiculous conversation being repeated over and over - Lol! I do love the silly stuff! On top of that Newbs were coming out of the Ministry having had Bad Water :D
I love that "Penyahtewan"/penyatuan translates to "unification" or "uniting of" in Indonesian. I feel like this feat accomplishes this spirit more than any other feat in this epic. I've had fun participating with complete strangers as I wander through Ur. :) So cool!
I can't remember the last time I had as much fun in Glitch as I did with this feat! I had a truly excellent group to run with and we had a blast. Thanks, TS!
I think something like this should be incorporated into the game. An incantation sequence among several players. Maybe after the feat is over it can give small amounts of mood and IMG.
Is it just me or are there faint echoes of Bart Simpson being punished by having to write something on the chalkboard thousands of times in this feat? ;)
This is the most fun I've had in the game in a while. I spent a few hours last night steering around two followers who somehow morphed into whiny siblings in the backseat while I was constantly consulting the map, backtracking, and making wrong turns. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
Um, I've gotten perhaps 50 "incantation chain broken", or no response at all, for the past hour or so. It's mostly "broken" responses, but dozens of streets with no response at all. More than one region too; Choru, Besara, and Callopee. Is it just my bad luck?
Sk8r Dave -- the group I was traveling in last night had that happen on every street we entered anew, but then realized 2 things: (1) we entered in a Follow-chain, and if the first speaker broke off before starting and re-attached after the Feat was done, it worked; and (2) if the first speaker repeated the first phrase (saying it twice before anyone else said anything), the chain worked just fine (we'd get the "broken" response with the first one, but the second one worked so we would continue for the triad).
Eleanor Rigby -- I believe I was doing the same as your group, but solo. Many times last night, after I got my first "broken" on a new street, I would speak the first phrase, and get a point. However, around 2 AM Eastern time I noticed several streets that gave no responses at all, no matter how many times I spoke each of the phrases. I saw that happen even more often between 8:45 AM and 9:45 AM Eastern time today. That doesn't seem right.
There were a lot of people going around just saying the first part, so when my group would get to a street, I would "break" it with the first part. But I just repeated it, then it worked, and then my group would finish. We visited well over 100 streets in a couple of hours last night.
That was SO MUCH FUN. I love this Feat the most of all, I think. Teamwork, and exploring Ur, and I got my Firozi completist badge, and we ran into so many people out in Ur. Definitely a winner winner chicken dinner! Thank you, TS!
I wonder if it's related to lag? It reminds me of the rare occasions in which I pass right thru the same coin 3 or 4 times before I get it. It always makes me wonder--is it a glitch (pun intended) or am I crazy?
What our group discovered was that if you tried to repeat a street, nothing happened at all. We only got the "incantation broken" message on a new street, and it would usually work if incantor #1 just repeated the preposterosity of the game.
This was loads of fun, and the glitchiest feat yet. Moar pls.
If you're going into new empty street, there is absolutely no point in saying first phrase. Whatever you say, it won't use up your chance unless it gives you points. So at random place, you shoiuld begin with 2nd phrase. If there is active chain going with only 1st phrase done, you will continue it. If last said thing was 2nd phrase, tough luck, start new chain from 1st phrase. If chain was completed, you won't get any message and have to start new one.anyway. Point is - you nevr lose anything when saying 2nd phrase over 1st. Even if you're going in 3-glitch teams, by leaving street with chain active you let next glitch that comes contribute 2 points instead of 1, getting closer to goal.
If using 2nd phrase breaks chain, it's possible you've stumbled across patch of glitch that was leaving streets with chains at 2nd step, and it might be worth to try to guess where he went and start with 3rd phrase on few streets.
This is very simple event if you are going in groups of three and don't care about others, but if you're going solo fact that you can stumble upon active chain and by picking best phrase increase your rewards, makes it great for me.
I think this feat is genius! I want more like this! Maybe we'll have to say something after completing a certain action. Like shuck a purple flower and say " That's some good shit" for a point.
Carn: I had the same experience today while I was soloing for a bit while waiting to leave for work. I found that the first phrase was breaking a lot so I switched to the second, and therefore doubled my points (and the points to the feat) with very little effort. And if the 2nd one broke it, then I'd just say the first one and move on.
This is such a fun feat and I'm kinda disappointed that I'm missing lots of it at work today, but I'm hoping to get home and help with it some more before it ends this evening. (I do love that feats are lasting 24 hours, though - everyone at least gets a CHANCE.)
