Trophies should consume items


Mainly just these, and the others should be left alone, for obvious reasons.  The only reason I think these should consume the items is that it is way too easy for people to merely trade off the items for the trophies, and in a lot of cases do so. I refuse to trade ever, and am trying to collect all the trophies based on my own luck.  But it still feels cheap knowing that many Glitchen likely get the trophies by simply giving items to each other.

  • I like that Glitchen help each other and that we have a sharing community spirit.

    I prefer that we help each get achievements and wouldn't like to be solitary and alone in Ur and have to be 100% self sufficient.

  • @Kirnan:Oh, I don't think your way is wrong and mine right. Both ways are right. That's what's nice about Glitch.

    You want to achieve things by yourself , then achieve them on by yourself
    I want to participate in community activities so I participate in them.

    Glitch can be played many ways and they are all the right way. That's Glitch's appeal

    What I do think  would be wrong would be making changes to force people to play in a certain way. So, I would hope Glitch leaves this as it is so we can all play as we each want

  • But, this game makes us play in a certain way as it is.  And right now, the experience of getting trophies feels a bit...cheap.  As it is, I just want the music trophies so I can hear the awesome music, but if they ever release all the music block songs on the blog, even that appeal would be gone....which is why I even bother to display them.  The only trophies as of now I feel are worth it are the street creator ones, and we all know how borked that system is!

  • If it feels cheap to you, simply don't do it.  Some people are completionists, some people like the experience.  Glitch lets you play both ways and any way in between.

  • I do NOT want trophies to consume items. I like it the way it is .
    I keep a set of my blocks as well as the trophies- I keep them for many different reasons- one of which it to share with friends that ask to hold them to gain a trophy so they can play the music in their homes.
    I, too, love that Glitch let's us play how we want - some dont want to "hold' for a trophy and some do . To each Glitch their own ;)

  • Yeah, not about it. 
    Right now, if I get a Musicblock trophy, I can still use them for donations after I get the trophy. Not only that, getting a trophy in this example (as it stands now) doesn't require you to be holding it at the time you get the trophy; in this idea, you'd have to carry them all around until you completed the set (so the trophy would be able to use the pieces). I don't really go out trying to achieve trophies usually; all my Musicblock trophies I got through drops, my gem trophy I got in the course of mining, etc. And when I get all my Cubimals, I'll get that trophy too.
    I guess my point is that, while it might seem cheap to you that "other" people can get trophies that way, you don't have to. Getting a trophy doesn't have to be cheap to you if you do it how you want to, regardless of how anybody else does it- that's their own game-play, and not to put too fine a point on it, their own business.
