Personalized Support case emails about Bug reports I filed last test just make me want to give him sparkling gold stars.
Awesome customer support + sense of humour= my favourite kind of email.
Long live Kevin!!

Yes, Kevin is pretty Sweet! Even though my first report was a stupid user's error rather than a game bug, he still handled it without making me feel like a dumb donkey!!
-
He is awesome, remind me to give you a hug when the game is open.
-
Hmmm... perhaps I should consider him as a target for Operation Teddybear...
-
Huh? We're suppose to get email responses to bug reports?
--edited to add: never mind, just got a response from my last bug report. Cool :)
-
:-)
-
Yay! Beefcake is very awesome too :) and jdawg! All the Q&A staff! :D
-
Ditto!! My bug reports were in my email box, so nice to tell me my garden will be running right very soon. :) So sweet and on the ball!
You go Kevin!! Two thumbs up and a kiss with a hugger.. :)
-
Yeah love it! With two other glitchers we were stuck for more than an hour (1,5) in the bureaucratic hall. I did sent a bug report. But jdawg and beefcake came to rescue us. And it was fixed. Whoopi great! The email I got was too funny: The quest in the Bureaucratic Hall was a bit broken...... Really? whahahah SO great :-)
-
Yep, Kevin is great, jdawg is great... I have reported a couple of things that I have gotten e-mail responses on (that really made my day!) and ALL the staff are very helpful both in game and between tests! I feel very well-taken-care-of. :)

I think Kevbob might be sick of the sight of me, He seems to be constantly having to TP me out of some bug i'm in .I think it is fantastic that the WHOLE dev team have your back. Every one I have chatted to has been very friendly.
I think Tiny Speck must be a very special pace to work :)
-
Tiny Speck sounds like a very small place to work. Like Horton Hears A Who, except with normal sized people. It must be very crowded.
-
Misha, definitely not sick of the sight of you, nor anyone. :)
Thanks for the kind words here, I admit I was in *blush* mode. And yes, as Hburger notes- props to my colleagues as well, they are great to work with and I am gratified to be working with them to bring Glitch to you. :)
I'll echo jdawg over here, if you ever feel I (or any of us) am ignoring you during a test if I are slow or don't answer an IM, it's not personal- it gets *really* crazy, all of us have multiple communication channels open and are trying to juggle a lot of things at once; we (devs) are constantly in communication with each other as well, and channeling a lot of the feedback realtime to those who Make Stuff Happen. There are also a lot of help cases that get logged during tests; we try to take care of some during the game play (and sampling trending problems), most are sorted post test. So, game time is pretty busy. :)
Again, gratified for the kinds words- and we are thrilled to have you all here.
:)

I hope someone can relay this to her/him even though this thread started about kevbob who is, as are all of the devs, awesome...but I had special and prompt help from Kukubee during the last test I want to give a shoutout for. I had added a bunch of devs to my friend list before the test (yes, for "dev watching" lol). So during the test a friend got stuck in the rook quest area for 1.5 hours. When she posted that, I IMed Kukubee to ask if someone could help her out, and the response was nearly instant. She wasn't even helping me; it was a friend, which I thought was supernice. Wow! You guys all rock!

I was this close. THIS close to being able to surprise kevbob with a hug last test in Alpine Heights. Then a lagspike hit and by the time I came out of it, he was gone.
I'll get you next time, kevbob! NEXT TIME!

There should be an official "Hug a Dev Day" on the Glitch calendar.
(Btw, try saying "Hug a Dev Day" ten times quickly) ;)
-
Love the idea of "Hug a Dev Day" Could be when we officially launch into beta. I know at FS our devs were very special to us and our community support. We loved the interaction with the players. It made our community very special, and brought some of the less vocal players to the forums. So more interaction please, It really does make a difference.
-
He takes awesome photos, too.
-
hihihi, I did hug jdawg last test....great guy! Super fast and friendly :-)
-
Yep, the thing that impresses me most about Glitch is the support they give! They are always around trying to help! Three Thumbs up to all of them :)
-
Ditto on all of the praise for the devs, and Kevin in particular. Getting an email about my bug report and getting a "real" response back made my day in the interval between these last tests.
So keep up the good work, guys. We love you for it.
-
Ditto ditto, love the personalised reponse too. Also the quick work on correcting the bug I reported!;)
Thanks all :)
-
I agree! Can't imagine how much work it is but I loved getting a personal followup- or two. thanks Kev!
-
what Chelseathing said!
-
Aye to that, though all the devs seem to be pretty great!
-
I agree. The developers are all top notch. It is always a pleasure to interact with them.
-
Indeed, all are very good to deal with and very helpful from my experiences.
-
Yay for Kevin! Some of the reports I've sent in are really ridiculous in retrospect but I was aching to play for so long whenever something didn't seem right I clicked the ladybug without so much as a second thought. Yet the replies have always been lovely and helpful, thanks!
-
+1 to "Hug a Dev Day" :) I really like giving them hugs when I pass by and when they help me out with a problem. Hee hee. Because they are awesome.
-
Kevin Rulz!
:o)
