SUCCESS!!!: I duly noted my new test house... I SAID THAT I DULY NOTED MY aw forget it.

Now that the dust has settled, is clear that I won the batlle, after weeks battling against the odds the sign and the "duly button" has dissapeared FOREVER from the new houses. You can thank me in the comments.

You are welcome Glitch, you´re very welcome.

Here you have the original OP:
__________________________________________________________________________
Dear Dev. Team.

Yes, I have duly noted my new test house for the Umphteenth time. Please don´t make me do it again, I grant you permission to STOP notifying me about the new test house every time I log in. Please?

If you want to add your comment: "Is just a button, press it and move on" please answer this question out loud in the comments " What is easier, to push a button or not pushing any button at all?.. " The answer wins an internet!

I already know the instructions, I duly noted it, I know it, I understand it, I grok it. The constant repetition to those who already know that is like entering your real life house to be stoped by a banner the size of your door, explaining to you things like "remember you have a dog" and "the right faucet is hot water" and "to turn on the lights you got to flip the switch" and you have to tear down the banner EVERY-FREAKING-LIVING-DAY-OF-YOUR-LIFE because somewhere someone just bought a new house and don´t know any of this.

Thanks.

  • So?? Is it really that hard to click it?
Posted 7 months ago by daniel5457 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • You like it the way it is now daniel5457? Because "duly noted" has lost meaning to me due repetition and now it sounds in my mind like the name of an emo band. I blame Glitch for any furter deformation of my perception of the world.

  • We probably don't have to deal with it much longer.

  • True, and there are those who don't seem to read what it says, and have posted questions on the forums that have been indirectly answered by the info plaque.

Edit: One thing I noticed, you restrain yourself from the keyboard, and to "us" keyboard users, the esc/enter key is our friend.

  • Also i definitely, for sure, know where the new imagination buttons are and blah blah blah because tht pop up wont go away either...

  • *buys ticket to watch Duly Noted live*

and considering the test phase for houses is nearly over can we move on to "permanent" clicky annoyances such as that frog. Once a game day i'll read about his backbacking not when I'm buying tons of stuff and he comes a dozen times...gah. Duly noted to you yoga frog!

  • I never said I like the way it is. Read what I said before replying. I said "Is it really that hard to click it?"
Posted 7 months ago by daniel5457 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • @daniel5457, I read it and it was duly noted ^.^
Posted 7 months ago by KhaKhonsu Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I don't think the ease of clicking it is the problem here. I think it is the annoyance of having to constantly click it.

Everyone just relax. Go grab your focusing orb and do some meditation. Think about the deep meaning of why you're in Ur. =)

  • You have to type to log in. You have to click to enter the world. You have to wait for it load. You're fine with all of that, right? So why is this any different. It's easy but I don't understand how it is annoying.
Posted 7 months ago by daniel5457 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Dear daniel5457, I will note your reply as: "OMG I really really REALLY hate that notification and I hope that the dev team hires a crack team of web experts to solve this RIGHT-NOW!" with the noise of a loading shotgun at the end. Your support to the cause has been duly noted.

And yes, is  *click* realy  *click* hard  *click* to  *click* click  *click* that  *click* every *click* single *click* time *click* I *click* log *click* on *click*. A Glitchen allways is one click closer to maddness.

  • Umm... no. Thats not what I said??
Posted 7 months ago by daniel5457 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I know is confusing daniel5457, but let me assure you that I support your cause, I want the notification to go away as hard as you, and you are not alone, lets do this together team!

  • my word...what are we 5 yrs old and stomping our feet because we were told something we didn't like? i'm sure you've heard before...we are in beta. we are testing the house. i'm sure TS has much better things to do than remove the warning that we are only testing the house. IF they even considered removing while we are testing, they would start getting questions:  Is this costing me img to upgrade? Do I have to pay for the upgrade of the bed? i think the small annoyance of either clicking on the "duly noted" or hitting the esc key is a minimal use of time so we can give feedback on things that aren't working properly before the game is released.
Posted 7 months ago by CatoriTala Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I predict it will be gone in a few weeks. And the devs aren't going to go all the way to make it disabled when it's going to dissappear entirely in a few weeks. I gotta agree with what daniel said.

Posted 7 months ago by phelps.mike Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Actually, the real reply to the OP is that, no TS can't do that, because there are still people asking constantly in global and live help "what do you MEAN I'm going to lose all the upgrades to my house and yard soon?  And the response to why they haven't noticed the information about testing is tl;dr
    *sigh*

  • Yes, yes, but do you want to recommend your game to your FRIENDS?
Posted 7 months ago by Pale Queen Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Hmmm... Yes, I can see that you need the notification for those who visit their new /home for the first time, and even seeing that a couple more times doesn´t hurt....

BUT!

I don´t know what kind of wizardry or new high tech is needed to do this, but I think is possible to the Dev Team to disable notifications for those who already have read them for the UMPHTEENTH time.

  • You mean like one of those "don't show this again" type tick boxes?
Posted 7 months ago by geekybird Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I don´t know if the technology has catched up to that geekybird, but I know that the TS Dev Team can crack that mistery!

Sounds like science fiction to me, a button to ask the system to don´t show something again.

  • It's. Just. A. Little. Enter. Key.
Posted 7 months ago by AwesomeCardinal2000 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Your opinion is duly noted, I am sure.

I was getting a little tired of it as well, but now I don't really notice it. I figure at this point, it will be gone too soon to make it worth changing.
Posted 7 months ago by Little Miss Giggles Subscriber! | Permalink
  • ....Mikah, I think you might be getting a little too bit frustrated.  All you have to do is hit the Enter button.  :)

  • NO DEATHLYHORROR IT'S MUCH MORE COMPLICATED. you have to actually wait 3 seconds, 3 SECONDS, for it to load, and then you have to decide whether you want to press the x, or the duly noted sign. If you press the x, it takes ONE SEXOND for your mouse to go over to it, and if you click the duly noted, it will STILL TAKE ONE SECOND. And then if you click on the wrong place, it takes ANOTHER SECOND to click one again. It takes up too much time, ok? I HOPE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND NOW.

Now all of you that believe this hellish ordeal I´ve been living is nonsense please answer this question and your answer will be duly noted by me: What is easier, to push a button or not pushing any button at all?

  • Press Enter, Kronos.

  • Enter is for wussies AwesomeCardinal2000, we don´t speak keyboard.
Posted 7 months ago by Mikah Subscriber! | Permalink
  • JUST PRESS ENTER. IT'S THAT SIMPLE. I hate having that thing pop up too, but it ain't a big deal.
Posted 7 months ago by AwesomeCardinal2000 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • No  AwesomeCardinal2000, is easier to not press any key at all. And Glitch is an easy game. So it should be easy. Meaning there should be no button to press. Think about it. Search your feeling. You know it to be true.
Posted 7 months ago by Mikah Subscriber! | Permalink
  • It's not a big ****ing deal.
Posted 7 months ago by AwesomeCardinal2000 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • No  AwesomeCardinal2000, is a small anoyance, and it should be gone. You never answered my question:  What is easier, to push a button or not pushing any button at all?...

... I wonder why nobody wants to answer it n_n

  • Do you complain about how you just have to sit there and wait while mining, harvesting, smelting, repairing tools? Do you complain about how you have to stand around and wait while you cook stuff? Do you complain about how you can't do anything while meditating? Do you complain about how you've been sitting there for ages waiting for a key to spawn?
Posted 7 months ago by AwesomeCardinal2000 Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Sometimes, I don't even get the message.
Posted 7 months ago by Rook Subscriber! | Permalink
  • No AwesomeCardinal2000, I complain about the issue at hand, that is the banner that appears allways any time I enter my new /home every time I log in.

I read your comment but didn´t found the answer to this question: What is easier, to push a button or not pushing any button at all? Hope to hear your answer anytime soon :D

  • Rook you don´t get the message again once you have "duly noted" it at login. But when you logout and login again, there it is. MADNESS!
