Giant List of Locations for Traveler Achievements (The Penultimate Update as of December 5 2012) Current Count: 1439

An ongoing mystery with street location qualification has finally been solved (after 22 days since this thread first opened on 2011/11/8). A major thank you to everyone who helped report results, data, and information. The key results and findings that were previously uncertain but now confirmed are:

Places that count: Everything in Jethimadh Tower, all one-time quest locations including The Back Alley and Rooks' Woods, both old Hell One and new Hell One. Four locations from the limited time only Cosma Performance Testing.

Places that don't count: Subway Stations, Machine Rooms.
Before the release of new streets in Rasana and Aranna, there were 774 confirmed locations, which matched the maximum, non-glitched high scores leading to confirmation in exactly which streets did or didn't qualify.

Current List (as of December 5 2012)

  • Update 50: Over 100 new locations released in the last month of Ur. New places not in the Encyclopedia are: 1 Seam Street (Namaste), 1 Underground Puzzle (Purplysa), 1 Uralia street (Symphonious Maximus), 2 Quests (Mental Block 2, Picto Pattern), Hall of Rejected Concepts in Jethimadh Tower: Mid (access from Tower St. West), and 6 unlisted locations in Vortex of Random.

  • Update 49: Final two places? Distant End, uutiif (continues from Distant End). The door to Distant End is in Russula Involutii, Haoma.

  • Update 48: New transit system in region Moshi Moshi Oshilatis adds 7 new locations. Shim Shiri was previously known as Asslandia.

  • Update 47: 20 new streets in the incredible Nottis region. It's now possible to obtain the Globetrotter Extraordinaire achievement!

  • Update 46: 29 new streets in Vantalu.

  • Update 45: New Quest: An Old Fashioned B&E transports you to B.T.C Room #3.

  • Update 44: Third season-themed level quest An Autumn Day unlocked from Epic #2. With three different quest endings, there are 4 total locations associated with this quest.

  • Update 43: A new secret location unlocked by Epic #2: An Abstrixian Aside. A hint was announced by GOD in Local Chat:
There's also a new secret spot hidden in one of the existing secret spots. Sorry I can't say more, but I am contracually prevented from doing so. Let's just say that it's a region in which only a portion of the light source is obscured by the occluding body. Know what I mean??

  • Update 42: Three new starter quest locations for learning some of the elementary skills: A L'il Animal Kinship; Breezy, EZ Cookin'; Talking 'bout Soil Appreciation. It just so happens all three locations have an apostrophe in the name.

  • Update 41: New quests unlocked from feats, as well as reminisce quests from the Play Cube item. Receive the Play Cube after completing the Color Unblocking quest. Join the Club quest offers Pintura Prosa from jumping into the Curious Painting inside the clubhouse.

  • Update 40: Three new regions unlocked from the First Epic (The Penyahtewan Assembly): Ormonos, Lida, and Jal.

  • Update 39: New Mental Block quest released (2 locations, one for first-time and one for all subsequent repeats).

  • Update 38: The Greedy Street Spirit counts as a new location upon reminiscing from the Emotional Bear.

  • Update 37: Sequel to Walk Toward the Light, Radiant Glare quest added.

  • Update 36: Being Watched quest added. Drink a Cup of Water from a Bureaucratic Hall Water Cooler. One of the few locations where snapshottery is not possible.

  • Update 35: Two new party locations released (Aquarius and Val Holla).

  • Update 34: The second feat unlocked a new region, Firozi, with 25 new streets. 1 additional linking street added in Alakol (Via Firozi).

  • Update 33: First of the Giants-themed quest, The Last Pilgrimage of Esquibeth, adds four new locations.

  • Update 32: 3 new quests: The Wrizzards and The Rube, Operation: Grow, and Walk Toward the Light.

  • Update 31: Third Level Quest, Winter Walk, has four locations. Winter Walk and Winter Haven each have a first-time location and a repeat location. When you enter the quest from the second time onwards, you'll always be in the repeat Winter Walk and repeat Winter Haven locations.

  • Update 30: Talk to a Piggy to start the new quest (The Greedy Street Spirit). Two new regions, Haoma and Kloro, unlocked from the first Feat..

  • Update 29: Le Miserable, the second Level Quest, appeared prematurely on August 23, 2012, and later officially released on August 24, 2012.

  • Update 28: 11th Ticket to Paradise level Slip 'N Slide released August 9, 2012.

  • Update 27: 5 more Ticket to Paradise levels from upgrade cards (Abysmal Thrill, Beam Me Down, Bippity Bop, Cloud Rings, Mountain Scaling).

  • Update 26: Amberlyza is the 6th and latest street in the underground basement puzzle series.

  • Update 25: 5 new bonus levels from upgrade cards (Arbor Hollow, Cloud Flight, Radial Heights, Sky Plunge, Starlit Night).

  • Update 24: Two new regions (Balzare and Roobrik) with 21 streets each add 42 streets to increase the normal max score over 1000.

  • Update 23: A new quest called A Summer's Day now available by talking to any street spirit vendor (in Groddle, Uralia, Firebog). Three locations are involved with this quest.

  • Update 22: Fernucopia becomes the 5th street in a series of locations accessed via locked doors in relic apartment tower basements.

  • Update 21: 9 new streets (5 Apartment Tower Basements and 4 color-themed locations accessed from the locked doors in the 5 basements; it is random which of the 4 color-themed locations you are teleported to when entering a basement's locked door).

  • Update 20: 5 old housing Apartment Towers now count for location scores.

  • Update 19: 3 new Seam Streets added on April 25 2012.

  • Update 18: 127 new locations in 5 new regions! 21 of the new locations are new streets in old regions. 51 new Habitats, Parks, and Reserves are for Foxes. 4 Habitats, 8 Parks, and 9 Reserves are in old regions.

  • Update 17: Reformatting of list and organization. New categories added for Party Locations, Quests, Tower Quest (in Jethimadh Tower), Multiplayer Games, and a section for no longer available locations. The 4 Cosma Performance Test locations increase total maximum general public location count to 840.

  • Update 16: Three new Enchanted Forests and Hell Bar in Naraka

  • Update 15: New link and street name fixes for Rooks' Woods and You Feel Woooooozy...

  • Update 14: Two new quests (Four Letter Words and Word Up) lead to The Kid's Room.

  • Update 13: Revamp of the list display. Added latest discoveries section and made all lists collapsible with index to regions.

  • Update 12: The Back Alley has returned for those who missed it in the We're Off to See the Lizard quest (learn Fuelmaking to receive the quest). New Vision Quest travels to the Institute of Ocular Testing (learn Eyeballery).

  • Update 11: New holiday party pack location at Winter Wingding. A street previously only accessible by staff was temporarily opened as a portal via Door Potion. Only a few players in the right place at the right time managed to obtain this location score. See more info here

  • Update 10: New areas, some secret, have been hinted. So far 4 have been discovered as of 2011/12/22. Axis Denyde, The missing floor, The lost floor, and The forgotten floor.

  • Update 9: New region of Rasana and expansions in Aranna bring 50 new streets! Plus Le Voyage Violet for 51 new total.

  • Update 8: Mystery solved thanks to elka for the last piece in the puzzle: Machine Rooms don't count towards the scores! Now all the numbers add up and everything makes sense. HarleyQuin's score is currently glitched, no one will be able to match the score, unless someone also accidentally triggers glitched residential areas that counted.

  • Update 7: Naraka adds 6 locations extending from Hell One. New score for 766 people to be stuck on is 773! Scores have increased by 7 if you visit all 7 Naraka locations including Hell One (but Hell One counted before, so does that mean anyone who had visited Hell One previously would have 2 points for Hell One, while new players would only get 1 point for the new Hell One? Or the other explanation could be the old Hell One didn't count.)

  • Update 6: A previously missed location on the list has been added thanks to Folderol. "You're Feeling Wooooozy" directly follows Fireflex 3000 Lab so if you have been to Fireflex 3000 Lab, by default you'll have been to You're Feeling Wooooozy.

  • Update 5: With a breakthrough discovery by Folderol in lifting a previously incorrect assumption that the 12 Subway Stations counted toward the score, the total number of confirmed locations is now (more accurately) at 766!

  • Update 4: 770 locations have been confirmed to count for users. What could this mean in terms of scoreboard discrepancy?

  • Update 3: Highest score is now 769! List updated to include 789 locations, but there is much uncertainty for some locations...

  • Update 2: Confirmed locations up to 762, with 768 total possible contenders listed. Who will be able to solve the mystery of the one missing street that so many people are stuck on?

  • Update 1: Added in links to available Encyclopedia entries. Updated notes regarding those entries.

    • I bought a party tester pack last night, and my spouse (who's avidly trying to get all the streets) noted that it gave him XP and announced "First time here!" when he got there.  It's my impression that the only difference between a party pack and a party tester is the amount of time.
Posted 14 months ago by Wrdnrd Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Im also convinced the test party packs work, they got me from 761 to 766 last night.
Posted 14 months ago by SacredBob Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Anthropocene, thanks for your info! Maybe if you got a chance to visit The Back Alley, the score would be 768.

SacredBob, that's really interesting about "The Back Alley", hopefully it was just a scoreboard glitch in not updating, or else it would be worse if it only counted for some people but not others.

JarHaven, HarleyQuin said she visted every residential street, so maybe there's a glitch in some residence locations counting (she already sent in a bug report).

Wrdnrd, that would be awesome if you could test the Rook's Woods! I suppose if you try to time 502 streets, then wait for the leaderboard to update and confirm that you have 502 streets, then try the Rook's Woods and see if it gives you 503.

Party Packs definitely should count towards new locations. If it doesn't count, it might be another leaderboard issue.

    • Testing the back alley on my husbands char isnt likely to be a flaw with updating the lists, I used the method I did previously, doing two streets at the same time, both new, so I could tell if the list updated but didnt count the back alley :(

It is still possible its only counting for some people.

Im working my way through the housing blocks at the moment, checking every single damned one, damn this leaderboard, but I WILL FIND YOU!!!!!! I WILL FIND YOU OH MISSING LOCATION!!!!! YES I WILL!!!!

    • Yeah it's sounding likely The Back Alley is only counting for some people, which would not be good and hopefully that's fixed.

Good luck with the housing blocks, I have a feeling you'd end up with 769 too if you visited ALLL of them haha.

    • Erm... so there's a weird problem. I'm still going off the formula that you get XP for places that count, and Dopple-Folderol just visited the Besara Community Machine Room and... it didn't count. If it had counted, I'd be at 180, but I'm only at 179, and this is with my detailed notes and consistent benchmarks.

I'm wondering if maybe "what counts" is in a state of flux? Maybe some things count and some didn't depending on when you got them. I'll continue my experiment, but I'm curious to see what number Dopple-Folderol will end up with, since I have 767 as Folderol...
Posted 14 months ago by Folderol Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Hmm that's very confusing for HarleyQuin had last visited a Machine Room that helped her reach 769. Similar state of flux seeing with The Back Alley.
Posted 14 months ago by TomC Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Oy... well I guess we'll see then. It seems like being in flux is just about the only rational explanation for so many discrepancies. Maybe Subway Stations used to count too, but now they don't, who knows!
Posted 14 months ago by Folderol Subscriber! | Permalink
    • I sort of hope it's flux, actually.
Posted 14 months ago by Pearl Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Heh, I like your attitude, Pearl.
Posted 14 months ago by Folderol Subscriber! | Permalink
    • For what it's worth, the Back Alley existed long before launch.  You missed it because you rushed to the Bureaucratic Hall to get your papers instead.
Posted 14 months ago by larky lion Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Oh it will so suck if that Rook Quest counts because that was the one I accidentally hit the "no" button on when it came up. Argh. And I guess those of us who didn't get our papers via that Back Alley quest have no way of ever getting to the Back Alley, huh.

I'm not visiting every housing block. Does every housing block mean every set of numbers in every quarter? I'm not asking because I'm gonna do it. I'm just, you know, curious. I'm not even considering doing that. I'm NOT.

    • Housing blocks no longer count. They counted at least two days prior to beta ending, and, did not count at launch time.

I was lucky enough to be between #1 - #3 for the last two months of beta and was stuck at the at 1 below the high number here just before the party packs launched. Once I finished the party packs I found one seam street that I had missed.

Now I think there is possibly something out of place that has allowed one person only to be two streets above the rest of us.

This has been an interesting topic - I hope we can nail down the locations.
Posted 14 months ago by Shadowy Time Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Quest accepted!  ;)

To make sure my number of streets on the leaderboard is (reasonably) accurate, i'm going to wait another 24 hours before i start visiting new streets.  All i'm doing right now is mining in the street my house is on, then dumping the ingots in a shrine to Lem to cut down my Teleportation V, so i'm sure not adding any new streets at the moment.  :P

Once i start traveling again, i'll keep careful count of how many streets i visit so i can try to time my visit to Rook's Woods to when i should be hitting my 503rd street for the Wanderer badge.

Now all i'm hoping is that the quest will actually LET me visit Rook's Woods.  It's weird that it was allegedly dropped as a quest but i still have it available in my quest log.

    • Well this is an untested idea, but if you were to follow a new player and that new player visits somewhere like The Back Alley, perhaps that will lead you to The Back Alley also? That could be very interesting though, if multiple people end up in a place like the High Jumping area through following a person who hasn't done the quest yet.

Sirentist, yes, so 5100 [Street Name] is a block, 5200 [Street Name] is another block. So there may well be over 1000 of these, yet one or two might have still been flagged as counting so that's how the 769 came about.

I'm going to try and collect stats on if everyone with 767 all joined before a certain date. I only started October 9th so I missed anything that was in beta or within the first week of launch.

Shadowy Time, HarleyQuin herself has already sent in a bug report on the issue because she thinks one or two of the housing streets might have counted when they were not intended. She did visit every single housing street though.

Good luck, Wrdnrd, I eagerly await your results!

    • Tom,

I just finished all the Completist Quests and started using your doc to track down the rest of the locations I am missing.  However I found one that is missing from your doc... Canary Sand in Besara has a Machine Room.  As you say the other two count I'm presuming this one does too.
Posted 14 months ago by Malacalypse Subscriber! | Permalink
    • That's the' Besara Community Machine Room', isnt it?
It is on the list, under 'Besara' 4th down.
Posted 14 months ago by SacredBob Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Yes the machine rooms have a categorized location in each of their respective regions. Your browser should have some kind of search feature; try Ctrl + F and type in "machine" and you should be able to find all three on the list. Good luck!

Posted 14 months ago by larky lion Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Ah okay, thanks larky lion, though would you happen to know when the Rook Egg quest was available? I joined about two weeks after launch and never saw it.
Posted 14 months ago by TomC Subscriber! | Permalink
    • I think remember seeing something a week or so after launch saying it was being taken off-line for a while for the devs to improve it.
Posted 14 months ago by Zin Subscriber! | Permalink
    • TomC was wondering whether our last two missing locations were buggy housing blocks that count as locations even though they shouldn't. I don't think so.

I just finished visiting all the housing blocks that the Glitch Location checker knows about including Hakusan Heaps Towers, floor 20 I don't think my score has changed. Since housing is added to that script by hand, there may still be some missing, but I doubt if that's what we're looking for since HarleyQuin apparently isn't a housing completionist. Maybe after the leaderboard updates I'll get a nice surprise but i doubt it.
Posted 14 months ago by Anthropocene Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Thanks for the info, Zin, looks like I probably missed it by a day or two :(

Woah Anthropocene, how long did it take you to visit every housing block? That's pretty insane, hats off to you!

There are definitely lots of housing blocks missing on the Location checker since tons were added since the checker was last updated. It could be also that the housing locations were fixed after HarleyQuin visited them so it's only counting for Harley right now.

Or since it's only 1 or 2 glitched housing locations, those locations may still be in houses you haven't been to.
Posted 14 months ago by TomC Subscriber! | Permalink
    • I had already visited all the housing blocks a few weeks ago so all I had to do today was visit the new ones that have showed up on the list since then. Some of the new quarters have only one or two blocks on the locations list but I visited all the unlisted blocks too.

If anyone is extremely bored you could compare the Locations list that greasemonkey gives with the Sold and Unsold realty pages to find any housing locations that are still missing. Its probably a waste of time but if anyone is bored enough to come up with a list I'll go visit those places.
Posted 14 months ago by Anthropocene Subscriber! | Permalink
    • FWIW, I've done all the housing blocks in Muufo  and all 4 firebog regions; including those not listed on the Locations page, but listed in the Realty page. Nothing so far has given any XP for visiting.

I am almost done with Bortola; same visiting everything on the Realty page and Locations page. Nothing giving XP, yet. I just have half of Savi Sense to finish and the Hauki Seeks.

ETA: Nothing in Bortola or Kajuu housing blocks.
Posted 14 months ago by Jarhaven Subscriber! | Permalink
    • I've done the same as Anthropocene, and was thinking about checking the realty pages to see if I had any missing.
I take a screen shot of each housing block as I go round so I know all blocks I've done.
Posted 14 months ago by Teena Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Good luck with all of your housing expeditions. Looks like a lot of new blocks were added today!

I did some stats on the date started playing after the reset of all the people with 767 (and 769), and the results point to potentially another problem. Everyone who has been able to get 767 joined before October 1st, or in fact before September 29th. Perhaps the original starting location counted, but later when it branched out to multiple starting locations, these stopped counting? I joined on October 9th and my tutorial was at Salatu Start. If someone who joined in October 2011 manages to get 767, that will be interesting, but so far it looks like September and earlier Beta users got some kind of extra street that once counted but no longer counts.

So if you are stuck at 766, and you joined after September 29th, your chances of getting 767 seems bleak at the moment (unless some housing locations counted, like possibly in HarleyQuin's case).

      HarleyQuin: September 20
      Onath: September 28
      Sethy: September 28
      Moi: September 26
      Super Jeebs: September 20
      onicoe: September 27
      Xev: September 20
      TaDa: September 20
      Liza Throttlebottom: September 20
      snarkle: September 20
      Pearl: September 21
      YukiaN: September 20
      Folderol: September 21
      Ebil: September 20
      Yark: September 20
      larky lion: September 20
      Max Output: September 20

    • My count is 766, I was in beta and started again September 20th.  My husband started playing on the same day and is on 767, the only location we know of that he has definately visited and I have not is the back alley.

Posted 14 months ago by Ida Keen Subscriber! | Permalink
    • Ximenez, yes that could be a possibility, though it may all be a coincidence that everyone at 767 has started playing within the first week of launch. Or those three people have missed one of the known streets, perhaps "unnnn" or a seam street.

Thanks for the info, Fyxxen! That really supports the theory that The Back Alley may indeed count (or at least for some yet not others) despite a staff member saying it doesn't count.

Teena, did you visit The Back Alley? Or maybe somehow you just missed one of those streets somewhere out in Ur xD

Makona, have you double checked the list? At the moment I don't think anyone could be stuck on 764 no matter when they joined. The biggest issue is being stuck on 766, and then 767 people for some reason can't get to 769 (though only one person has reached 769).

Ida Keen, you have to teleport there (is what I read from an old thread). But there's nothing of interest there, only the elevator to go back down.

    • i am totally at a loss as to what streets i'm missing. i got my papers legally; was that a mistake?

i have checked and double checked the list and for the life of me i can't see where i'm missing three streets.

      all the games- played.
all the completist badges- in my pocket.
machine rooms, seam streets, whatever. i am going crazy.

    • Me too, stuck at 766, beta tester, play every day.  Been to every location on the list, all the parties, seem streets, secret mines, etc.  The only thing i can't recall is the back alley...I feel like I did it, but maybe I did it before the reset?  IDK!!!  AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!  Grr.

    • @TomC - no I havent been to the Back Alley, *cries...never thought, I just went and got my papers!

I've got all the available completist done, and double checked all other places including seam streets, locked doors, machine rooms,  and Unnn. And smashed the rook egg!

Been to all the residential blocks other than the new ones just opened.

    • Well that was really weird, TomC.  How many other places are teleport from the location page only?

I was a Beta tester, and started playing on Day 1 after the reset.  The only thing I don't remember doing is the Back Alley (I didn't go there in Beta either).

    • Hi there! I'm at 757 now, but I haven't done any of the races, only Game of Crowns, so doing those should bring me up to 766. I did go to the back alley, but looking on the list, it seems like the place I've never been is Rook's Wood. Is it possible that the people who started earlier were able to get that quest (for the most part) while the people who started later, like me, were simply never offered it and thus have a max of 766?
Posted 14 months ago by Intrepia Subscriber! | Permalink
    • I can confirm that I did both the Rook's Wood and Back Alley. I had missed one of the seam streets and was stuck one behind that others for a few days until I went back and did all of the seam streets again.

The party packs also added a hiccup because I believe that a few people somehow managed to get to them prior everyone knowing they existed. After I learned about them, it was only a matter of a couple of days.

The races also had been a problem and I managed to finish the one I was missing once you could purchase the exact ticket you needed.

I think the one Glitchen at 769 must be something related to either a bug, or perhaps they have gotten to a street or group hall that hasn't been opened to the rest of us yet.
Posted 14 months ago by Shadowy Time Subscriber! | Permalink
    • @TomC I've checked and double checked.. (I used greasemonkey script first then moved onto the big list.) But obviously I'm missing a few XD

I've done all party packs, races + GoC, model homes, secret mines/doors, seam streets, the tower + rook museum, community machine rooms, and bureaucratic halls. The only places that I know for sure I've not done is the Rook egg quest and Back Alley.

      I can't think of anywhere else :(

    • flask, Gadzooks, and Teena, it looks like some people were able to get 767 even without The Back Alley, yet The Back Alley also counted for some people who have 767. Maybe if the people at 767 also did The Back Alley, they could be at 768, but it's all unknown right now.

Jarhaven, it might take visiting every single residential block to stumble upon the 1 or 2 that counted for HarleyQuin, but it's too insane and probably not worth it if this turns out to be a glitch and gets fixed. But as for when it'll be fixed (if it's a glitch), that could be next year as it's probably low priority.

Ida Keen, I believe that's the only place that's teleport only.

Intrepia, I'm in a similar situation at 766. I never got the Rook quest before it was taken offline.

Shadowy Time, yes HarleyQuin thinks it could be a glitch also; she definitely wasn't expecting to be 2 points ahead of everyone else. She said she submitted a bug report but I'm not sure if there was a response yet.

Makona, in the Jethimadh Tower, did you visit "unnnn" where you go below the floor of the Mezzanine and jump up and left while in the dark?

Crocen, you are one of the lucky 767 people! You started on September 27th so it looks like the pattern of no October people at 767 continues.

Liza, yes the Rook quest has been brought up many times but so far it's not with 100% certainty whether or not it counts. There are a lot of discrepancy in different people having different results, as well as the possibility that Rook's Woods and The Back Alley only counted for some people but not others.

Thanks for the info, Ebil, your case further adds to the perplexity of the situation because some people had to do The Back Alley in order to have 767. Perhaps you would have had 768 had you done The Back Alley.
