Auction screen is needlessly confusing

The auction screen is very badly designed:
Lowest current auction price for a single onion: 3₡ How many onions do you want to sell? / 36 For what price? When reading this you would think that the price you are specifying is the price per unit because the example price is the price per unit. But in fact it's the price for all your items. This means that if you're selling (say) 17 items you have to multiply your desired price by 17 to get the total, and plug that in. I don't know how many times I've wrongly posted the item price rather than the total, but it's a pain to do the calculations even if you don't make a mistake.

  • Since it has yet to be addressed (probably because it's an Idea not a Bug), I want to chime in -- not to overstate but the screen is batty.  Nobody cares what the final price is (and not everyone has the os calculator open like I do).  We almost always want to set the per unit price and be on our way.

  • Some of us care (sometimes) what the final price is.  Especially if I have a partial stack of stuff, I don't want to have to calculate the per-item price to get rid of it.  I just want a nice round number to offload it with.

  • It would be nice to see both the per item price and final price.

  • It would be nice to have this at some point, and we get the idea, but it's not high in our priorities right now. (And yeah, this is best for the ideas forum, so, I moved it.)
