This would be really helpful but it would spawn a secondary market for credit trading that TS wouldn't like. Makes me think of people selling Zynga poker chips.
Actually I think that this kind of interaction would put people spending more and that, in the end, they would get even more subscribers spending more.
A credit market like puzzle pirates would be quite nice. In the end this does end up with more people buying credits with money. Say you want some currents but feel like being lazy buy credits then sell to make currents. Also the option to gift credits would be nice.
Hmmm, yeah i do find that i need a few more credits and i am not willing to pay for it, but just giving people credits would end up in all sorts of hassle. Maybe you could make it credit poker or something.
I thought TS was going to allow us to 'gift' wardrobe items to friends. Least I thought I read that somewhere. Perhaps I read someone WANTED it that way. It's a good idea though. Wouldn't need to gift credits then.
Perhaps it would be better to allow people to GIFT wardrobe items, not credits. So you can buy a hat for your friend and give it to them in game. That way TS gets the money for it at least once.
I tend to worry about this sort of thing really. Opens a nasty door for 3rd party scams that will start stealing accounts. The Gift this sounds ok though.
Perhaps people should only be allowed to give a limited number (or even just ONE) of wardrobe gifts item per week (or per Glitch year). That would pretty much eliminate the wardrobe-farming idea.
I like the gift idea, though should also be possible to give credits. Both are actually necessary.
On Second Life there's the Linden currency system, and they seem not having problems with people giving linden dollars to each other.
Are we able to *buy* credits as a gift to another player? I'd definitely like that. I can understand not wanting to transfer already-existing credits, as people would be creating new accounts just to strip them of credits, but giving us an option to purchase new credits or tokens as gifts should be allowed.
