I really don't know how to search for this one, so I'm starting a thread. I'm laughing at what just happened, but am also thinking this shouldn't happen. Or that it should be impossibleized. Because while it was funny, it was also alarming.
Nutshell: when we're doing an action, like cooking, the pop-up box telling us that our action is completed should NOT NOT NOT be able to boot us out of chat windows in which we are typing and take precedence over the chat window.
"Whyever not?" you may ask. Well, here is why:
I was cooking and IMing with someone. When the cooking action completed, the popup telling me so managed to suck me out of the IM just as I was typing a combo of keystrokes that caused me to (in order):
a) open my img menu
b) open my img cards deck
c) teleport back to the world, out of my house
I came to in Folivoria.
Hilarious and odd? Yes.
Annoying? Also yes. Usually it's just garden-variety annoying, where I have to tab or click back into the IM window after making my glitch jump up and down and opening my quest log.
But this? This is a new one. This odd, hangoverish feeling of "How did I get here? What happened?" It really did feel like a mystery alien abduction that matched the teleport face of our glitchen.
So if there's a way to turn off the automatic precedence that these popup windows take over our chat windows, that would be fantastic.
