Doors

So I decided to move the bedroom upstairs and the crafting room to the second floor, however I notice that the doors I purchased don't transfer.  Why is it that any other piece of credit based furniture design is transferable between floors (or even people) but the doors are not?

  • Did you remove the other door first so you aren't trying to give a floor more doors than it needs?
Assuming doors can be moved...hmm...well good luck!
Maybe I am not making any sense.

  • What do you mean, don't transfer? Do you mean that the styles you've upgraded the doors work only work on the specific doors you upgraded? If so, then yes, that's working as intended.  If you want to change the look of any individual door, you need to purchase another upgrade.

  • You can't drag a door to another floor. As a workaround, it should be possible to exchange upgrades between doors. TS, what do you say?

  • He means that, unlike other kinds of furniture, a door becomes locked to a particular floor in a particular glitch's house when used.  I understand why it works that way, but I think the implications for upgrades were not fully thought through.

  • Oh I understand! Yes, I'm not sure if that aspect is working as intended or not. Xim's suggested solution is an interesting one.

  • Yes, I agree Xim.  Either let us drag the door to inventory or allow the style to "transfer". Personally I prefer the drag the door to inventory.
