Lowest current auction price is incorrect

The auction shows 5 currants as the lowest price for fancy pick, wrong price is also showed for eggs, cherry, and I'm guessings other things too. I just wasted 200 currants on putting up an auction for something that will never be bought because I thought I was giving a good price, but I wasn't. Please fix this or I'll starve my Glitchen to death.

  • All the auction prices are correct, they are the price per unit.

  • No they are not, please check before posting.

  • 4.6 is the per use cost, the 924 is for the pick (meaning it has 200 units of use left)

    This is correct.

  • That's the price per unit of USE? Well that's not very practical.
Also, the prices for cherry and egg are fixed now.

  • Would you mind giving an example?

    They look correct to me.
You've listed 250 Allspice, for example, at 4.5c per Allspice. The buyer would pay 1125c, as is shown.

  • I go to Allspice in Auctions and I see the lowest price per allspice is 4.7 currants, but when I want to sell my Allspice it tells me that the lowest price per Allspice is 5 currants. Thus, for someone that isn't first checking the real price (as I often don't), this can be very misleading. Here's a screenshot.

  • It looks like it maybe an issue with rounding.  In the pricing window (or whatever it called) when you're posting your items it looks like it is rounding to the whole currant, whereas the actual price listed on the auctions is accurate to one decimal place.  Unfortunately with things like allspice a fraction of a current per unit can add up to be a big difference in the total price.

  • The game has, since I joined it, always rounded. That doesn't term wrong to me, but I guess if you're trying to undercut by a few currants it would.

Knowing this used to be a great profit maker for me, once I figured out the buying bots ignored decimal. Not sure if that's still the case.

Still, bug? Rounding has been common practice forever (see your gas for example).

  • Thanks for that info Evad. I better be more careful next time!

  • Rounding is not a bug, but the game doesn't always round.  Yes if I sell grain to a vendor which is only 1 currant than 70% or 80% would still be 1 due to rounding (times however many I decide to sell).  However when I sell in an auction *I* determine the price and then TS calculates the per unit price which can then end up resulting in a fraction.  TS shows this accurately on the listing page however as of yet they don't when you're posting a new listing.

On most auctions this has absolutely no effect such as auctions which items don't stack.  And most other items only have minor stacks at best so the difference will be very minor.  However with something like spice which has large stacks and goes for relatively large amounts (it sells for more then it's listed price vs. most items which sell for 75 to 80% of listed value) it adds up.
