Sorry about that!

Behold the power of cheeeeeese

How do these changes affect the energy gained when eaten and the img gained if the food is eligible for Bonus/Super Bonus?
And thank you for making cheese make sense!
-
Oh yea.. I knew there was a reason I held onto my full bag of stinky cheese (besides it reminding me of my ex's smelly feet) ugh!
-
Awesome, thank you!!! (redacted.........no thank you.)
(But, this is still the only thing in game that takes lots of energy, but gives no iMG, why?)
-
Yay! Things feel in sync again =)
-
Excellent Update! looks like I have to change a few SDBs and re-evaluate cooking strategies.
-
Does this affect only newly crafted foods, or the old ones too? My old ones still show the old price.
-
Mary: Energy gained from a food is in most cases equal to the base cost of the food (with some exceptions, such as spices). iMG Bonus and Super Bonus are tied to food's base cost as well, so both energy and iMG will increase if the food's value increases.

Nice! Thanks!

Shepherdmoon: You might have to reload your client to sync up.

Whoo. I don't have any cooking skills at all, and don't have any plans to learn any. I have all that milk, though, and no-no is fun.....
-
Nope--after reloading lemburgers in my inventory are still at 127.
-
Yay - time to revisit cooking. :-)
-
What about increasing the price of bacon?
Wait-there is none. *cries*
-
Hmm — it seems that these changes actually aren't live yet. Checking into it!
-
shaking 80 milk into butter costs 160 energy, no img
compressing 40 butter into cheese costs 200 energy, no img
aging 20 cheese costs -100 Energy -100 Mood , no img
This just seems like a crappy trade off. In the end, making anything with cheese at all is not worth the amount of energy spent to create such dishes. So I will continue to never make anything with cheese. I take back my "awesome" post.

Innie, I think those are the old [and busted] costs -- hoepfully it will make more sense when the new & glorious is released {and looking at what Mart whipped up in the spreadsheet for potions, I wager it will be better}
Keep in mind, one no-no can make enought butter / cheese / aged cheese to last weeks. I'd be happy to send you some Innie!
-
Psh, sure you can. You just need one or two packs of nono to make thousands of butter.
-
So is that a 'whoops, the change didn't get made yet' or a 'whoops, we're not going to do that after all!' It's a little odd for the OP to be completely wiped. Down the Memory Hole so to speak. Now I wish I had saved a copy of the detailed changes that were going to happen for, er... historical purposes.
Who's the guy in the black coveralls, anyway?
-
what was the change?
-
Hee, beta!
-
Yea, those are the unaltered costs, Innie.
-
Oh boy, did my Cheese Balancing protest/contest pay off?!?
Hooray for activism!
-
I hate it when my post is premature.
-
Dorgan - stoot said it's not live yet. Which suggests to me that it's not live yet.
-
I'm aggrieved that a change I don't know about didn't make it live. Let us know what the change was so that we can be upset about that instead!
Who moved my cheese?
-
ಠ_ಠ
-
The cheese has been moved! (ie. cheese and butter changes are now live... there was an issue with some db-s and such). See this forum post for details.
-
The api is returning new, higher values for cheese based foods. For example:
Expensive Grilled Cheese base value (according to API): 220
Expensive Grilled Cheese base value (according to a spreadsheet i havent updated yet): 173
I didn't catch the OP before editing, but the comments and API results give the impression that it is live, and is rather cheese related.

Hah, figures Mart would post about it being live after I started typing and confirming my claim.
