NPC quest Hubs (built by players)

I've heard alot of people saying that Glitch looses its steam later in the game, So how about having quest hubs? These quest hubs would first have to be built by players, similar to Street Projects, but instead of being over in an hour or two they should be geniuenly massive. Taking days perhaps a week or two of large player participation. Which each phase of the project, unlocking new NPCs to give quests. This would give older players a large activity to do, as well as, give newer players and even veterans direction and meaningful gameplay. It will also allow the Glitch Dev team to show off more of the amazing NPCs they've created in the past, like, Uncle Friendly and Rube.

  • What if.. Players could design quests?

There could be certain elements designed (and the quest itself decides how much of a reward it gets).

    Ie.

    Player 1 selects these elements:  Kitchen vendor/Marrakesh meadows/West spice/Grand ole Grinder/1 day

Congratulations, you have created this quest!

(The Kitchen vendor in Marrakesh Meadows wants you to deliver a Grand ole Grinder to 'Chicken Kiev' {who can't be renamed till quest ends} in West spice within 1 day. You will be paid 388 currants.

Player 1 cannot start this quest, but can select any other quest available- thus creating a pool of quests. Or they can create another quest.

  • The problem with Player created quests would be that, they would end up being very much the same, take 'Item' to 'NPC', Harvest 'Item' Those sorta quests. However, if the Dev team makes the quests themselves, we could end up seeing some very original story-lines, like the Rook Museum or, Smuggling Quest.

  • I'm thinking about this as not a replacement for dev quests- but a means for people to interact with quests on their own if they choose to. Because at higher levels, you run out of quests- no matter how many the devs make. This would be another option for people who want to do a different one.

Or the reward could be random- with some rare items possible.
