*ahem* I have a poem.

So, er, yeah. The first verse came to me fully formed while I was waking up this morning, and it kinda grew from that. Totally inspired by William McGonagall, for which I make no apologies :P

While waiting for the key to spawn,
realisation 'pon me dawned;
Of all the dodgy things in Glitch
this here's the one I'd like to fix.

Standing round in Gori Blear,
it's enough to make you swear -
AFKing, wasting time,
while sparkly all around to mine.

And Giants help you, if you miss,
the precious key; you will be pissed
When some nasty jumps the line,
leaving you alone to pine.

It's even better in Callopee,
where you cannot even see
The bloody thing, for it shows up
behind a rock – just my luck.

And once you're in Ajaya Bliss
(big teal-white door, it's hard to miss)
Watch as time slows to a crawl,
while mad glitchen splank and drawl:

Of shoes, and ships, and sealing wax,
of cabbages – and kings.
And why the sea is non-corporeal,
and whither piggies sing.

And though I've plagiarised that verse there,
think upon't, and know this, unfair -
For every glitch who gains their keys,
another still lingers, ill-at-ease.

  • Ahahaha I love this XD

I made a poem on the fly earlier too.  I wanted to tell a player to come up where there was sparkly so I said,

Roses are red, Violets are blue
I'm up here and you should be too.

    >_>

Edit- Yours is better. hehe ^_^

  • While I certainly do appreciate all of this, let's not get off track. The real topic at hand is Treadhead's epic poem, comparable only to the work of Homer or Hesiod. Perhaps Ovid or Virgil.

@Treadhead - I quiver with anticipation. Indeed, when I become Empress of Ur, I should be honored if you became my royal bard.

  • Oh crap...limericks are harder than I thought they would be :S nonetheless, here's a small taste (haha, pun totally intended :P) -

There was a young chef from Muufo,
who decided to bake a gateaux -
    all the glitchen got cake,
    but discovered too late
that the carob inside it was guano.

And feel free to post your own poetic masterpieces here! :) If enough people post here, we should totally make a compilation book or something :P
Also, Xev, that'd be an honour :D
