"Glitch Credit" Cards in Real-Life

So I'm thinking when the game launches, it'd be nice to be able to go to a convenience store and buy a "Glitch Credit" card instead of having to use an actual Credit/Debit card (especially to those like myself, who don't actually own one or the other yet).

Maybe they can come in $10 (150 credit) and $25 (500 Credit) Increments, and maybe a few teleportation tokens or some other goody can be included with it, encouraging people who aren't Tin subscribers to buy tokens when they want to.

  • You can use Paypal, no creditcard required.

  • @Victoria I'm talking more though for younger, early teen, players who maybe don't have a PayPal or bank account open yet for whatever reason. They can just use say, allowance money, to buy themselves a coin card without nagging their parents to use their credit cards or PayPal accounts.

  • People under 18 aren't allowed to have accounts here unless their parents agree to the terms of service.  They'll need to nag them anyway.

  • Well not necessarily, I mean I feel like anyone at least 17, like myself personally, should know the TOS.

By "Younger" teens, I meant players who were 14-17, who don't yet have a job, and can only use allowance money for this sort of stuff. I know my dad personally isn't a fan of using his credit card information online, and I don't think he has the patience (yeah, I know, like 5 minutes) to create a PayPal account.

But this is just my perspective. I just think having some form of Game cards would just be convenient for some players.

  • So what's stopping you from creating a bank account IRL?  And then using Paypal?

  • There's a simple fix to this (to those in the US). If you happen to live near a Simon Mall, they allow you to put money into a prepaid debit card. It's $2.00 to open an account. Additionally, if you do use the card with paypal, there's an addition ~$2.00 for activation. Make sure you register the card on Simon Mall's website so that you can set up a billing address otherwise your payment will be floating around for awhile (I made this mistake in my youth).

  • There are lots of pre-paid debit cards and even Visa and MasterCard gift cards.  I'm still not understanding why an entirely separate bank card has to be created for Glitch.

  • I use those sorts of cards all the time.  Particularly since sony playstation network got hacked and sony advised some customers to cancel their credit cards.
