specify number of items for use

Is there a way to specifically, say, give 3 carrots to a piggy when the interface is only giving you larger denominations as choices?

  • No there's no way to do that.  The Ideas Forum has several threads you can add your voice to that ask for this.

  • The non-optimal way to do this is to drop most of your carrots.  Then you'll have smaller options.

I would love for this part of the UI to be better, it's a real pain with pigs, batterflies, etc.

  • ...but you can feed the pig one carrot three times. So long as its the same pig it will plop on the third feeding.

If you're planning to drop you carrots - watch out in case a pig eats them - they can be fast when you don't want them to be - and you still only get one plop!

  • This came up for me at a project recently... another player needed Green Elements, and I wanted to give a few hundred from my stock of over a thousand, and I had to parcel it out in packets of 30, which took a while and I'm sure was distracting to the player.

I also wanted to give some Allspice, and when I clicked on one stack to give them 250, the default came up as my entire spice stack... good thing I looked carefully before overwhelming their inventory! So maybe we can give just what's in that particular inventory slot?
