It's a well known fact that many people who play Glitch are drawn to the non-violent aspect of the game. However, just because the game is non-violent doesn't me we can't have wars. Here's a random example of something I thought up:
A special area is set up for "tree wars." In this area, the only vendor available sells only tree poison and antidote. Two teams, invisible to each other to prevent following, duke it out. One team is tasked with poisoning all the trees in the area, the other has to keep all the trees alive. The poisoners would have the advantage of knowing where to strike, but since poison costs more currants they would have to designate more players to earning them (perhaps there could be a mine incorporated on one street). The people trying to save the trees would have to communicate in order to do it effectively, for example they'd have to let the team know when they were going back to restock on antidotes. Different trees could take more time to die, and be worth more points. After 5 minutes, scores are tallied and a winner is declared.
This is a stupid idea that could never be implemented practically. However, it's a good example of how team-based pvp battles or wars could be fought in addition to anything thrown at us by the rook.
Think this is the direction the devs should be taking or not? Any thoughts welcome.
