Print Your Glitch And Play With It Too?

I saw an interesting report on the news today.  You have probably heard of 3D printers.  Those amazing and amazingly expensive printers that create 3D models.  I have seen them on TV in the past but never dreamed that anyone could get one.  Well, three nerds who felt the same way decided to do something about it and they created their own 3D printer at an affordable price (well sort of).  Now you can get one for less than $1,500.  This will get you the printer and some plastic to print with.  If you wanted, you could print out your Glitch and play with it too.  You might need to first render a 3D image of it.  Here is a link to the printer I saw on the news.  I do not know how well it works or anything other than what was on the news and at this WEB site.  I have no connection to these fellows but their product looks like fun and there is a cute video on this page of a kid telling why he likes his 3D printer which is very cute and funny.  store.makerbot.com/makerbot...

  • I was hoping to turn a Munny into a representation of my Glitch. But until I do that, I might just have to settle on paper dolls or having someone else print/make one for me, haha.

  • Check out shapeways.com . They offer 3d print service that is very reasonable. The final finish and detail are much higher resolution that the makerbot.

  • i wouldn't mind a 3D version of my avatar but i like Lord Bacon-o's idea about the paper dolls.

if glitch sent me a print out of my .. ahem .. naked avatar .. as well as various sets of glitch clothing, that would be rad.

or maybe do it magnetically with that fridge magnet material.
