Did anyone else feel barfy?

I've heard of people feeling dizzy or nauseous from playing 1st-person shooters, but I've never experienced it myself.

After playing the Glitch alpha for about 20 minutes (pretty cool, btw), I found my eyes working too hard to focus on things while moving/walking and ended up feeling barfy with a bit of a headache.

Just me?

  • Ghosting or blurring of the graphics can cause that - it's normally caused by using a CRT with bright images (which Glitch has) in a dark room.
Do you have a CRT (and a lack of lights)?

  • I usually get this very, very badly with FPS, I can only play for about 20 minutes before feeling ill, but so far Glitch is ok. Not really sure what causes this, since I've felt nauseous playing FPS on LCDs as well..

  • Wasn't a CRT, it was a decent LCD in a well-lit room. I'll give it another try another day to make sure it wasn't just a case of the Mondays.
