Time to Death by Energy Rot

Had an interesting chat in Global earlier, and I whipped together a quick spreadsheet that explores death by energy rot. There are quite a few assumptions that have major effects, but oh well. Thought it was an interesting enough exercise to toss out. (And, since I didn't actually put it together with the objective of publicly releasing it, it's quite ugly looking too.)

Some more interesting elements:
L7 won't die from it.
L8 has the shortest life.
Stabilizes at approximately 3:10.

  • .8 is probably about right, considering the higher your level the more energy you lose as a moment goes by.  Good to know that on a full tank I have just over three hours...is that 3 RL hours or 3 game hours?

  • It's 3 RL hours.
    0.8% each 90 seconds has been documented on the wiki for a long time, I guess someone went through observing and calculating during 1st beta.

  • Well. The assumption of .8% is based on wiki info, and confirmation of [Staff] that it's percentage-based. The part about rounding is confirmed by [Staff] as well, though the mechanics of rounding weren't commented upon.
