I haven't logged in for awhile and none of the people on my friend's list play anymore, and I don't see a lot of people wandering the streets/mines like I used to. Where did everyone go?
I wander about..it's kind of fun now that the streets are not so crowded.
But yeah, I've noticed that many of my friends aren't playing as much now, it's sad.
if you want to know when your friends played last to see if there still playing click on there pic in your buddy list and it tells when they were on last :) hope this helps (: oops i forgot to add friends are located in your Profile tab on your home page .
I believe, from someone posting information tracking accounts switching to inactive, that the game is at about 20% of the active players from launch. Activity has increased since the housing reset, however.
Not unexpected I'm sure: going to back to beta meant a long period of time without new content, and the content that has released since then seems primarily designed to get the game back live, not to retain edge case beta players.
But right now I have 64 out of 504 friends online.
I think it's different for everyone; I know that I'm not online as often as I was and depending on the time of day my online friends list can be long or short. I think people are spending more time at their homes or visiting other home streets, so some of the streets in UR are pretty deserted. But, in the last couple of days it seems as if more people are roaming the streets. Maybe it's the new quest and cubis's, at least that's what I think.
I stopped playing for six months when the game went back into beta, but began playing again about a month ago. It was a shock because the place was deserted! I think for the first few days I saw about two other players. The streets do seem to be busier in this last week or so, I have to say, especially in places like Groddle Meadow where there are lots of quoins. Zilloween seemed to stimulate more activity as people wanted to earm acheivements from giving to other players.
I would reserve judgment about whether or not people are playing until you've taken a sample at various times of the day. I would imagine that many US players aren't online during daylight hours because of work or school obligations.
I'm not sure where in the world the OP is or where their circle of friends are based, but they posted at roughly 11am PDT, 2 pm EDT. Try again in a few hours and see who's online. :)
