What happens when you run out of skills to research?

I've been playing less than a month and am already ~halfway through the skill trees. Is the game still worth subscribing to?

  • You can start using those skills in-game.

There are achievements, street projects, and other activities where you actually use the skills you've learned.  Learning them is only a beginning.

  • Don't worry Kashtana, you'll lose them all when the game is reset, then you'll have lots more to do ;-) Plus the skills get longer as you go on, the second half will take a lot longer than the first half!

  • None of that is enough to convince me I want to buy a subscription. Petting piggies all day sounds, well, boring. And it all I get is a little badge that doesn't even go on my wall, what's the point?

I love the art and the gameplay. But, this game will last me about three months tops. I need something to keep my attention. Harder quests, new areas, etc.

  • Looks like you've decided this game is not for you.

  • I would give it a little more time. In three months you will find a way to keep yourself entertained. Some people like races and games. Some people like foodwriting in plexus. Some people like to host parties. Some people like to hang out in the noob areas and hook them up. Some people grief.

If you have ideas about how to improve long term playability, speak up! I'm sure the devs are listening ;-)

  • The game style I played in the first two months is totally different then the game style I play now. As you level up you will notice that it is a lot harder and in turn funner for things. You will get to a point where you won't have to pet pigs, you can just nibble at them.

  • As you level up, the quests do get harder (or at least more complex, especially the cooking quests). Plus, there are always street projects going on so new areas are always opening up.

  • Don't but a subscription unless you are sure, remember the game is free

  • "Don't but a subscription unless you are sure, remember the game is free"

    Sage advice.

Things will be added int he future. Has TS has said many times, launch is a milestone and not the finish line. So go away and come back. Play when you want to, watch things grow. If, at some point in the future, you find there is enough game play for you and enough things that you want from a subscription, get one. If not, don't.

Just being a player (if you are social and interact and not a jerk) ADDS something to the game. MMO's rely on players not just for money but for content. THEY ARE CONTENT! So use your free play with pride!

  • Def dont sweat the subscription tho. They've made it as nice as possible to play free. There's really no reason to subscribe unless you play a LOT (or have cash to spare)!
