Well to this this, you'll need the following:
1) Quill
2) Some Paper 10-20, depends on the situation. Can't go wrong with 100.
3)The Penpersonship Skill
Now this is how you can slowly pay someone for something:
It's kinda complicated, but prevents you from getting side tracked and end up spending money on other things.
Situation: I can't afford 10 diamonds, so I've settled a deal with my pal to buy her 10 diamonds for 25k. I'm going to pay her a little, legit portion at a time. (Not the best example, but you see the point. You can't do that with a vendor.)
Steps:
1) Have the person you are giving the currants to a note.
2) Let them give you the note, and read it to see if it says what you will give them. If that's case Proceeds with the next step, if not it might be a sign to not continue, or just give them the note back to fix it (then re-read etc). Sustainable note: You can't edit notes if you didn't make them, AND you can see the username of creator with a hyperlink.
3) Make the trade! Click on the person, his/her name, and hit Offer to Trade, put in the currants that you have that match the IOU.
4)Then incrementally (add up over time) repeat this until you've gathered IOU's around the price needed to get what you want from that person.
5) Now you're sure that you've paid the amount (in my case 25,000) by adding up all the IOU's. To be safe, you can slowly divide up the IOU's to match up with something with more than one quantity, like in my case. So, like a IOU of 3000 for 1 Diamond, would do minimum loss to you. If you have 2500 (2500*10=25k) for one diamond, or whatever the price, that should be great to.
6) I have the thing I've wanted, and she had the all the payments but the last which I gave her in the last step! :D
Tips & Tricks
1) To many notes? Ask your friend to give you one of them for the rest, (if they run out at this point)
2) If the other person's cool with it, spend the money you get incrementally. Although always prepare to have it asked back. Since your such good friends. :3
Important Note: No guarantees you'll get your money back. This is someone you chose. If there's no one that cool, then simply don't do it. Take a loan instead.
