Odd skill binning

We got an update of:
'Mining has been moved to the Industrial skill group and Fruit/Spice/Bubble/Gas Transmogrification now belong to the Gathering skill group.'

Doesn't this seem to be a bit backwards?  Mining seems to be more of a gathering activity (gathering ore from rocks) and the Transmogrifications all seem to be more in line with the other industrial actions of woodworking, metalworking, etc. even if it is using a handheld tool to change a basic item into something else.

  • I understand why they binned them that way in the first place (gathering raw materials vs. processing them), but I suspect that that re-binning fits better with playstyles -- you're more likely to find a "miner" glitch also doing a lot of refining, smelting, and tinkering, or an itinerant tree-hugger also doing a lot of transmogrifying, rather than a "gatherer" glitch who does lots of mining and tree-harvesting and doesn't process the results much, and a "converter" glitch who does lots of both transmogrifying and metal/wood crafting, but not much resource gathering.  (Although I'm sure *somebody* fits each of those descriptions in this crazy ol' world.)
