This game has the best support of any game I have ever played.

I came here to write about the awesome experience I had with the game support. Today, in game, I was fooling around with my friend in his house. I picked some spice off their tree, and then raced 11 of my cubimals to show them off. My friend, however, was annoyed that I took their spice, and decided to kick me from their house. This caused all of my cubimals to not reappear in my inventory! Now here is where the great staff support comes in and saves the day. 

I filled a bug report at 11:24 EST. I have dealt with other company's tech support before (>.> microsoft), and was expecting to wait 24-72 hours before I would get a reply. To my joyous surprise, I received a reply one hour later! 

The staff member, whose's name was Justin, was incredibly helpful. 12 minutes after I replied to his initial response, the cubimals were restored to my inventory.

So I just want to say it again, thank you Justin and the rest of Glitch Support. You turned a bad experience into a great one!

  • I agree; I hit a bug where Icon-izing 11 emblems didn't properly give you an icon, yet you lost your emblems. kevbob came forward, reimbursed the emblems within an hour of reporting it and dropped by again later to say that it was fixed. The speed at which they respond to bugs, and even problems that aren't strictly bugs, says a lot about how much they care.

  • I agree! I had problems one day logging on and found out later by my own trial that I just needed to restart my browser. However when I logged back on and a few moments later a dev came to me right in the game and said "I see you were able to get back on Casombra". And explained that it was pretty much the browser issue (I had sent a report). I was gobsmacked to say the least and very pleased to see WONDERFUL service. I have and do play many MMO's and this is the first time since the early days of Everquest 1 that I saw such great and personalized service!

  • I got my replies before asking a question lol.

    Seriously, they have the best ban service that I have ever seen:

    A) I did something stupid against ToS

    B) They put my account on a "Time out"

    C) Put up evidence of exactly what I did, Put the line of ToS that it conflicted with, then made a decision.

    D) Didn't have to wait a whole month.

    The Support team is awesome, but they have a life, so be sure to check out the FAQ group or Live Help if it is really that serious.

    (I wanted to sent invites to people but didn't have friends who wanted to play, so I asked my friends via status update if through a work around, they would have given an indirect e-mail so I could invite them that way, assuming that they would change it in account setting's letter. WHICH is wrong and unforgivable so don't ever do it, at all, no matter how nice you think you are. [My defense for their side is that they understood that, for I would have not been able to where I am today...but I'm on my last straw, so hence my warning, lol]. In other words, I didn't hack/scam anyone. That's all.)

  • +1 and then some.  Friendly, intelligent, prompt, and effective are all adjectives that come to mind.  My tickets have been handled by Jobynana, Araldia, and Daina, and they all did a great job.

    Glitch isn't just some cutesy game - it's pure goodness through-and-through.  The staff and the community match the spirit of the game perfectly, to the point where I feel like I'm still in Ur even when I'm browsing the forums or adding to a bug report.  That's what ultimately sets it apart, to me.

  • Off to the side a bit -- Why was your friend mad that you harvested spice from their trees? It shouldn't really matter. What kind of friend kicks you out for that? I invite people in to harvest my spice trees. Sorry that is just really bizarre to me.

  • I've never played a game where the staff/developers have been so approachable and involved, so much a part of the game itself as we, the players, are.
    It's cool not to have that inviolate ivory tower looming with all communication stopped by unresponsive standard phrases.
    In short, it's great to have people who care as the creators and as support staff. XD

  • Adding my satisfaction here; I reported a bug regarding entering and leaving my house and had a member of staff visit me not long after. It's not resolved yet, but I know they are working on it :)

  • Love you guys! It's not every game where you see the staff hanging out in the game, AND will help you with bugs almost immediately.

    Although I maintain when stoot came to that Double Rainbow party for a while and magically grew a spice tree because the patch was buggy, it was just like in the Sims when if you threw a really great party, Drew Carey would show up. Celebrity guest!

    I have worked as a volunteer community organizer for a local mmog company as well as played beyond a dozen mmogs, but the customer support in Glitch is THE BEST I have encountered.

    I tip my Butternut Pearl Hat to the Tiny Speck guys. =)

  • I just want to add my thanks to the staff of TS and how fast they respond to questions and concerns, either here or on Facebook. Within a few hours*, Kakul addressed my subscription question on the site and once Essie Kitten answered a query within seconds on Facebook!! HOW GREAT IS THAT?!! :))

    *It was after hours that I'd sent in a report. Even the Esteemed Glitchens must rest. :)
