Oops or By Design? Flower Geisha Dress

I couldn't help noticing that the outfit was designed with the right side being worn over the left which is only used when dressing the dead but wasn't sure if this was an oops or if it was deliberately done that way.  With Glitch, you never know...

  • i don't think it matters since all clothes are just flipped when facing the other direction

  • I'm Japanese, and I was taught that right side under left is for the living and left side under right is for the dead. Guessing by your name, you're Japanese also, so now I wonder which of us is correct? If it's you, I've been dressing like the dead for the past 25 or so years... (which is when I received my first kimono.)

  • @sc803
Don't know if you prefer the information in Japanese or English.

    English
    Japanese

As for the Geisha Dress in Glitch, Jellyfish is right in that the dress is flipped when facing the other direction (thanks for pointing this out JF; I didn't realise this!), so even if it were shown in the wardrobe as left over right, anyone wearing it will still be a walking dead person half the time anyway.

  • Very interesting! Thanks for pointing this out, especially as we'll definitely be getting into other unique clothing combos.

  • Yes, Marebito, that is how I wear mine. I wrap the right flap first, and then the left flap over it, and secure. I just read your comment wrong. So, we're both right, and we're both dead half the time. :D
