Those dust trap thing will not work!!!!! }:(

Every time I go to the ancestral lands all the dust traps are used and nothing is in them! O this is frustrating. All my friends brag about what they have found and I haven't found hardly anything!}:(

  • it's best to go when everyone's asleep... early morning in the UK is often a good time,  cos all the lazy Yanks are snoring!

  • It's definitely hit or miss for me, too.  It really helps to be able to teleport in to a non-entry route, and if you can't do that, zigzag over.  Also, when you encounter someone, try to take a perpendicular route to the direction they're traveling.  If you can see where they're going, you can often deduce where they've come from.

  • "lazy Yanks"?  you're just bitter because we outnumber the limeys :)

but shhexy is right, the best time to make your trip to the ancestral lands is during off-peak hours.

  • It's hit or miss and I just randomly wander around.  I think yesterday I ended up with nothing (but the quoins are still worth it) and the day before I ended up with somewhere near 90 sheets of paper (seriously what IS IT with paper in those lands?) and some drinks and a EHSP.

  • Don't forget that the lazy Yanks are underneath some equally snoozy Canucks. Canada: America's nightcap.

In seriousness, like Carl says, setting a teleport point in some far-off corner of the ancestrals can be a big help!

  • Ardent Avenue 1 then zig zag towards the traditional entrance, I is UK based here so late morning to early afternoon works best, your local milage will vary.

  • I have a teleport set in Xalanga too. It's from a TP-related quest (for TP5?), but I find it useful as a starting place for savannah-running.

I don't always stay in Xalanga; there are roads that cross into Xhambu and Choru. Try a different area if where you are seems empty.
