  • Just break them while cooking-- the Kitchen repairs are base don number of kitchen tools you repair, rather than the durability repaired.

  • They should break eventually; but sometimes you can also buy broken tools on the auctions (eg http://www.glitch.com/auctions/PUV8CMMGLFG2P7V/4ec86ea6/), repair them, then sell them on. (You can't see if there are any broken tools unless you click through to the tool's page, ie http://www.glitch.com/auctions/item-knife-and-board - you can't search for "broken", for example).

  • the kitchen tools badge is a slow one to get, takes a lot to break them, but they defo do break, saucepans, chopping boards and the awesome pot seem to go most for me.  Having said that I was making 300+ tetrazzinis a game day for ages and still don't have the badge for kitchen tool repairs, I might have to start buying knackered ones now i barely cook ;)

  • thnx for answers, obviously the good for approx 60 units of wear in the info on tools is way out, back to cooking for me then, done all cooking achievements was hoping not to have to do much more but such is life lol

  • Cook more stuff with them, making the maximum number of whatever each time. Stock up on raw materials (spices, butter, cheese, flour and meat) and just cook for a half hour or so.  It appears to be the number of items produced, whereas other badges and advancements might be based on variety.

Making large amounts of flour, for example, broke my chopping block. Then I broke something else with fried eggs, busted the grill with Abbasid ribs, and I ended up with the tinkering badge without even trying.

I'm dropping food all over Ur. Just follow the trail of omelets :0
