Glitch Events

So Glitch is a fun mmo, but in my opinion it's still too much focused on resource gathering and other repetitive actions, which can get more or less annoying in the long term.
I think the social aspects should be reconsidered, and integrated right into the game mechanics, to give the players some alternative ways to enjoy the time in game, while still building their character.

Feats
First, I like this idea of collaborative events that bring people together in the game, but this first demo of the "Feat" system felt quite artificial, and the goal to "unlock" slightly fake...
What worked great already though, was the dynamism added in our "Home" pages, with the sense of something going on in the world at this time, and I think this kind of popup could also be used to display current or incoming player created events.

Events

Now that we have a brand new calendar, we should be able to add our own dates and events. Like it's been said before, the Announcements forum is not really popular, and player-created events should rather have their own display space, just like some social mmos, as this events calendar, where you can create, join, and organize your activities in-game.
Glinvite has also been created just for this purpose, but it can hardly be popular while being so disconnected from the game. So let's create a new "Events" area right here on this website (and top navigation menu), with direct consequences in the gameplay.

Imagination
Since the game got rid of the "experience" system, I'm still confused why squeezing a chicken gives me points of "imagination", while creative events like this one don't get any...(beside the "street traffic" one, which anyway is mostly resource-related).
The best imagination rewards should come from player minds, and player created events, so the idea is to give imagination points to each player that creates an event and makes the game alive, as well as a smaller amount for any of the attendees of those events. The rewards could be proportional to the number of guests, or eventually as some Flattr-like img credits, that players could spend on a monthly basis on the events (or player designed spaces) they liked the best.

So make it social, make it fun, make it creative^^
