Maze/Labyrinth Region - The Hive

I had a dream (which I'm using as a blueprint for this idea) in which Ur held a magical beehive region (complete with flowing honey and giant bees!) This region's "map" was uncharted, or rather, unchartable. The streets were set up on hexagonal tiles which would rotate periodically (similar to Hogwartz's moving staircases.) This makes getting to the middle of the hive very difficult, and sometimes frustrating. But at the middle of the hive holds a treasure to behold - as much honey as you can carry! Before you dip your empty jars into the honey pit, however you must appease the Queen! The queen's quest sends you back out of the hive on a mighty journey across Ur to retrieve her crown.

Maze region? Honey hive? What say you?

  • Buzzztastic idea !

Maybe every time you make it to the center you get a piece of a bee outfit until you complete the outfit?

  • I can imagine honey mining in such a hive, with coins, strange drops, and suchlike. Probably a time clock like ancestral lands? Maybe instanced?  Dunno about bee outfits; that would not motivate me. I'm there for mass quantities of freaking honey so I can bang out recipes.

  • I really love the idea of getting clothing from in-game! I want to crack open an egg next Easter and find some bunny ears inside! (What's a bunny?)

Hive or no hive, I want a cool way to get honey.
