brain capacity cost

I have been trying to add a brain capacity upgrade every now and then, now that we have new things to learn. Before I felt like so what, what's the rush.  The first one I bought was 55, 000 approx. img.  The second was in the 60's. The third, which I just got, and is fresh in my mind, started out 2 glitch days ago at 72,300, and now when I got it was 80,000. Same card. What is this? How high do they go? Does an unlearning card really wipe out a skill? I am upset and need answers. Thank you.

  • It is based on what your brain capacity is when you receive the card.  Here is a page with the breakdown of cost per unit.

  • @QueenKellee: that is odd ... my last one (the one that took me to 60) was only 80k.  I wonder if they've tweaked the cost?

  • You are both right, n4d4 showed me a chart that said it was 80,00 until you reach 60, My capacity is now102, so what happens after 60? What about the unlearning?

  • Further thought, if this is the way it goes, it will cost me AT LEAST 4,064,000before capacity if no new skills are added.

  • I will have to be a level 60 before I can even afford another Quoin upgrade. This is fun?

  • Don't be upset.  From 51-60 capacity all the brain capacity cards cost 80,000 a point so it won't get any worse. The maximum capacity is 60. They're intended to take a while to get. As n4d4 mentioned, the price of the cards increases as your brain capacity goes up which is why they were increasing.

The unlearning card teaches you unlearning. The card itself doesn't wipe out a skill, but it does make you able to wipe one out if you choose. If you feel like you're learning too slowly and there are skills you aren't using (like maybe you decided you don't want to bother to cook), you can unlearn unwanted skills to speed up the new skills.

  • Jamby, you seem confused about the number of skills you have vs. brain capacity.  You have 102 skills learned and 52 brain capacity.  (It shows on your profile.) That means you can learn 52 skills without any time penalty. Skills past your first 52 are learned with a cumulative 5% time penalty.  Increase your brain capacity or unlearn a few skills and the 5% cumulative penalty will decrease and you will learn new skills a little faster.

You do NOT have to have 60 brain capacity to learn everything in the game if that's your goal.  It's just a little slower to learn new skills as they are released if your brain capacity is smaller.
