Collaborative grinding.

Is there no greater joy than watching a bunch of people rage about changes they have no control over? I will answer for you. No. There is no greater joy. This is goddamn _magical._

If you are surprised by the increased emphasis on collaborative play and more and more grinding, then I suggest you familiarize yourself with Noby Noby Boy.

Before you rant and rage, dear glitchen, over "nerfing" ask yourself if you are playing a game or satisfying a compulsion. Are you? Really? Because I've met you, and I'm pretty sure that's not true.

At the risk of seeming sycophantic, I feel compelled to congratulate the gang at Tiny Speck for daring to make bold changes. For good or for ill, this shakes up the status quo.

  • I don't know what Noby Noby Boy is, but I'll tell you this- it seems like a valid concern to me that things you were able to do yesterday with ease are now either much more difficult, slower, or not possible without buying upgrades to do them. Kind of makes people feel like the other months they've been playing were wasted on wheel-spinning, and that they're using what they'd built up in terms of xp and levels to fix nerfs (e.g., "Mining now takes me twice as long as it did, even though I spent all that time learning M4", which would be a nerf by definition). I don't think that's necessarily "raging", just voicing concern over what bothers people about the changes.

  • I'm just looking at it like this:
Yesterday, I was playing an old game. Today, I'm playing a new game. I have new things to learn and discover--it's almost like being a baby glitch all over again. And I think that's pretty cool.

    Thank you, TS!
