piggies still appearing in auction

I picked up 3 piggies in auction from user T Bagger Vance between 930-935 pst.
(they were given to good homes).
Point is, I thought piggies were no longer allowed to be auctioned owing to today's bugfix.
Maybe these were legacy piggies?
No idea.
Over to you, TS.

  • I thought hogtied piggies were only barrded from being sold to vendors and donated to shrines?

  • Oh: Well. If that's the case, and they remain auctionable, then we're still going to see streets denuded.  Hmm.
The good news is I have enough currants to buy, catch and release.  But it still encourages street denudation. If that's a word.
Maybe I should stop buying them.

  • The less hogtied piggies fetch at auction, the less profitable piggynapping will be, and the more likely those who do it for profit (as opposed to doing it as social commentary, or because they thing certain streets have too many piggies, etc.) will more on to some other pursuit.  If you want to encourage more public piggies, CTP, you should pick up piglets or piggy eggs, rather than the hogtied piggies, at auction.

  • While vaguely offensive, that seller's name is clever, I have so say.

  • While I understand the necessity of posting topic-related facts, I must digress; check this seller's name out Evadrepus.
