I have a surplus of items so I've been trying to place auctions for lower-quantities of products, hoping to give lower level players who might need the resources, but can't afford them, a chance to pick some stuff up.
For example, all the auctions for butterfly milk are for 80 milks, a whole slot's worth, at the price of 475+ currants. Knowing that lower-level players won't need a whole whopping 80 butterfly milk at once, and that 475 can be a giant dent in your wallet, I was hoping to find a way to get smaller amounts of resources to people who only need/can afford a few.
All the lower-quantity auctions I post at the going price are pushed off the main auction page (and I'm not sure if you can even access them) because items are listed lowest cost per item, but highest quantity first. I started to list lower-quantities at a lower price, to get them on the main page, but big surprise, higher-level players were buying them en masse.
It's a shame to have newbies priced out of the auctions, and I'm not even sure I have a solution to offer. I'd like to sell my stuff to a specific subset of players, but since the auction is the only way, I don't think I can. Perhaps a way to set aside certain auction items for level 10 and below? Or maybe it's just a flaw of the way auctions are listed right now, with lowest price/highest quantity taking precedence.
