Rather than make several smaller threads, I thought the probability of having comments posted was low, so I decided to save space and post them all here. *u*
1. Wishing Well &// Soup Kitchen
- Glitchen can now deposit food stuffs in shelters where less fortunate (or desperately hungry) Glitchen can grab a bite to eat. Run completely by Glitchen, for Glitchen. Alternatively, a well that, when donated to, will cough up something previous Glitchen have donated (bags, food, equips, boxes, keys, etc), or possibly a souped up version of whatever they donated (hoe, meet high class; sammich, meet lemburger). They say the wishing well favors those on quests.
2. Long-term storage
- For the hoarders that can't stop, rent out your own giant container or ten. If you can't pay the rent, items will be locked until you pay a fee. We've got specially trained Juju frogs zipping around to make sure they're safe, but there have been incidents...
3. Smuggler HQ
- You don't like the Bureaucrats, but they've seen your Juju muju in action themselves. They'll pay you handsomely if you can sneak into one of the smugglers' lairs and retrieve an important package... (hey, a picture of the guy who plays farmville isn't what we had in mind!)
4. Pet Store
- Your colorful and well-populated home still feeling lonely? No friends want to be your roomies? Well, we know someone who doesn't have a choice! Pet pigs aren't just regular pigs, oh no! They know how to pilfer your fridge, follow you around and make annoying noises, or even beat you at cubimal racing. Or, you could be boring and select one of the more mundane choices we have in our catalogue. Cats, dogs, rats, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs, hamsters... I'll be over here pretending we don't see you ignoring the "Don't touch" signs placed everywhere.
5. Travelling Circus
- For a few days every month, see and interact with the most amazing animals you've never seen (but will now see regularly) before! Chickens that actually LAY EGGS (gasp)! We also have our Butterfly Garden, the only one of its kind! Marvel at the techni-colored beauties! Their milk serve as wonderful inks and paints! I bet you haven't tried making Sno Cones have you?
6. Obstacle Race
- Jump your way around this maze! Can you make it through the hoop of fire, or will you singe your clothes, and run out a flaming fireball, wishing there were more water fountains closer to Aranna than the ones in Ix?
7. Secret Orchard
- We have rows and rows of trees waiting to be harvested. Yes, yes, we have fruit trees. No Mrs. Doubtfyre, we have gas trees too. That's it, pay the entrance fee. Which one is it? Well you see, you'll have to jump onto this geyser, and though you could end up in the fruit tree orchard, there's a chance you miss it and instead find yourself surrounded by beans...
8. Rehab
- You need to solve your addiction. Take a break from Ur, try something new, get out there! We'll feed your pigs for you and water your trees. When you come back in 45 (game) days or so, we'll give you your keys and pigs and everything. Just tell us what they like to eat, and make sure you have enough money for it.
9. The Great Mall
- This gigantic mall stretches on and on, sideways and upways... There are pedestals on the walls where you can place cubimals (or anything else actually) and you can rearrange them for a new kind of street art! Ever wondered where your poor donated cubimals went to? There's no security though, the bureaucrats won't be able to tell the difference between thieves and--wait a minute, that's a Helga!Wait right there, *scrambles*
10. Travelling Merchant
- He looks suspiciously like the Rube's younger and less experienced brother (which is saying something). Like the Rube, he gives you insanely good deals. He'll pop in with random wares, and will buy things from you at a high price! Unlike the Rube however, he wants to be found, so you can actually follow him around or tell others where to find him if he passes by. How his wares change between screens is a secret between him and the Smugglers.
11. The Eighth Ghost
- You thought number Seven was bad, wait til you try to find the Eighth! Everytime you see her, she steals something from you and vanishes! What a heartless Glitch!
12. Home customization
I love that this feature is coming very soon. On the offchance you forgot about some of these features:
- Front door mail slot (or flap, you know, for the chickens)
- Kitchen (please, giant pantry, pleeeeeaaase!)
- shelving (display ALL your trophies at once!)
- Workshop (you'll have to build the ore repository yourself)
- walk-in closet (which leads to Wardrobe/Vanity pages and where you'll return to afterward)
- Store-front/table (while we're waiting for a physical mall/market where players can have stalls of their own, a place to keep some of your things out for visitors to see and buy. Managed by a frog you'll have to pay to stay awake.)
- vault (to keep your money so you can't go on a cubimal buying spree. Also a place to keep important documents or really important items you don't want lost in the world behind the wardrobe)
- NPCs you can hire to do just about anything in the house. They'll never do it as well as you can, and most of them actually suck at their jobs (oy! You're supposed to be watering the crops, not eating them!), but you like the feeling of control, like you actually have house servants.
- House servants (I would have liked a house elf, but I'll settle for a house lizard. They look average in their black and white suits, they'll look average in another sort of black and white uniform. Of course, if I could hire one of the Rube's many cousins to be my cook, I'd like him too. Three meals every day, I just hope he actually knows what he's doing. He looks too snazzy in his chef hat to be fired!). By extension, maybe houses should get dirtier as well, since realistically, moving between your garden and your home or teleporting in from the ancestral lands would probably mean some dirt or sand got on your wonderful floors. You need to clean it up! Or have someone clean it for you! Also, you could tell your house servant which of your friends have free reign of the house or are expected to pass by. You can also probably leave some objects for her to distribute to visitors (here's the package you're to pick up/candy for zilloween!/ your name is offline, but s/he says you can come in. Please don't hesitate to ask us for assistance). In hindsight, there should be different kinds of house keepers, with varying types of speech. Alternatively, the house keeper has permission to spend some money to buy things for a certain price, if a player comes along and tries to sell some items.
- yoga room (soundproofed for maximum relaxation. meditate for as long as you like, or just sit around and listen to the music and prevent mood and energy loss)
- bedroom (soundproofed for maximum relaxation. meditate for as long as you like, or take a nap. Either maintains or replenishes energy/mood levels)
- bulletin board/side table with sticky notes (for people to leave messages for you for free? I mean, they'd need the Pen skill, you could leave a quill on the table, but if they walked all the way to your house, the least you could do is let them leave you a message for free...
- personal mini-cave (choose which type of rock will spawn. Who knows, with enough persuasion, maybe you could entice a Batterfly to migrate into it?)
- cellar (next to/in the mini-cave, ferment your own grapes (that you secretly pocketed from hell) and leave them there in the cool shade...)
- shrine (subscribe to a religion, choose your patron giant. You'll need a minimum amount of favor with one to prove your sincerity, and you'll get an "enlightened" buff whenever you get an emblem from there. "Peace of mind" is achieved when you donate, say, a hundred favor worth for that day. If you ever decide to switch faiths, it's going to cost you. A lot. A "traitor" buff might give you reduced favor when donating to giants for a few game days afterward, so really, don't switch unless you're serious.)

13. Frog Delivery Service
- if you can get and send stuff to the auction house from where you stand, I don't see why frogs can't be persuaded to make a sidetrip to your house as well. They can only be persuaded so many times a day though (like, once?), and can only be pushed into pushing the items through the mailbox slot in your front door. You wouldn't want them sticking their non-existent noses into your business anyway.
14. Family system
- I was thinking, rather than having to make a second account for a second character and trusting them not to play simultaneously, what about supporting several characters per account? They'd have an independent skill set of course. Then I thought about having them in a "family". Inactive characters could hang around the house (they could be "visiting" if they have their own). Once in a while, in their extreme boredom, they might just help around as well (oh honey, you harvested a crop for me? you shouldn't have!), but mostly they'll just walk around the house, make you feel less lonely. They might complain about the lack of space if you don't have enough though. In line with this, I think Glitchen of various heights would be adorable! They wouldn't have to be overly customized, but having "kids" would be cute! Each character should be able to buy a home for themselves (because with a second char, you can anyway), but this way, you can share clothes between characters (especially for subscription accounts!). There should be a limit (2 or 3 alternative chars?), and you can charge people who want to go over the limit (doubtful, but some Glitchens...). We could still make a second account of course, but the items... Well. It would also be interesting if one interaction you can have with your other characters would help you learn your current skill faster if they've learned it already, and this could also only apply on certain skills (like the ones that needed the emblem and later, or maybe any skill that has at least a day left of remaining time) and help you only for a few minutes a game day. Also, the achievements *could* be shared; an alt could purchase one of the smaller firebog homes to take care of the herb/crop achievements you haven't gotten, freeing up the larger homes (possibly). When switching between characters, each char will be where you left it on switch/log off, but when you visit an alt's home, your other alts will also be "visiting". I haven't thought about whether alts should be allowed to manage the garden, but aside from the closet, it's the only thing that visitors don't have access to isn't it? New players might take advantage of the extra chars, but there's (1) the limit to 2-3 alts and (2) I don't think it's an issue. When the main character levels up, the extra characters will probably be ignored and eventually discarded. Hmm, maybe they could "migrate"? To some far off corner of Ur that hasn't been imagined yet, or I don't know. But it would be akin to deleting an account. OR, they could also be summoned back for a family reunion? But the name would have been fair game, so if someone else got the name while you had it, then their story could be that they've reinvented themselves, they are now called fill in the blank .
15. My biggest wish: Full home customization. Inclusive of room size and layout, design, etc. This would be a rendering nightmare if one gets overly creative I think, so I guess this'll never happen. But a girl can dream. :p
16. Books/notebooks (dried herbs)
- this will eventually lead to a book shelf item, but a book/notebook item would be nice, expecially for those literary (literarily?) gifted individuals who want to publish their creations but not litter. You could also probably press a flower inbetween the pages, just coz you can. Or hide some money for safekeeping.. or for inquisitive visitors to chance upon.
17. Job Office
- or something else. An office that gives out jobs/quests when you just have nothing to do or would like a purpose for your wanderings. Jobs offered will be random, but will take your skills into consideration. Gatherers will be given a special bag and will need to fill it with the requested materials. Workers could offer their processing services (you'll be given a special bag of spices for instance, and processed spices will return there as well). The special bag lets things in, but not out, and will never accidentally eat anything irrelevant to your quest. Explorers may be asked to journey to the farthest ends of Ur, and retrieve one of their specialists who's gone paranoid from staying out in the countryside for too long and has forgotten the way back (a frog has been sent to them to tell you you're coming of course). Paranormal hunters may be tasked to talk to a ghost that "people" have sighted and want to get rid of (similar to eighth ghost suggestion above). There could probably be a limit to the number of jobs you can take per day (so you don't just drop and apply for a new job until you find one you like), and either you can only finish a set number of jobs per day, or there should be a cooldown between jobs (maybe 30 minutes like ancestral lands?). The job itself may or may not have a time limit, like the retrieval or paranormal hunter jobs.
18. Giant's favorite item
- imagine if a giant had a random favorite item for the day/week. Imagine your surprise when you get double the favor without using any powder. Imagine... if the giants got tired of their favorite item extra fast because people have given him HUGE amounts of those things, and would suddenly like to change their favorite item. Or, just imagine the giant randomly liking your donation, whatever it may be, and giving you triple the favor.
19. A Tree's Treasure
- see something sparkle in the tree? Or maybe the leaves rustled? Whatever it is, I DARE you to stick your hand in. If you're lucky, a player did hide something there for someone else to find. Just pray that it isn't a peckish chicken, or a poisonous caterpillar... Maybe you shouldn't stick your hand into any more trees today...
20. Ladders (portable/craft..able)
- So we're mining in Neva Neva and the rock above the door is just a liiiittle too hard to get. Or maybe you just want to reach the top of the dragon and you don't feel like jumping. Or maybe you're in Ajaya Bliss and you just want to be able to climb straight up to the sparkly rather than jump around and pray you get there on time. Craftable ladders (vine-type and step-type) can be placed anywhere there's solid ground beneath your feet, or a ledge to hang it from. They should probably be good for a game day, if a hundred people haven't climbed them and broken them down first of course. Finally a use for all those planks!
21. Bribe the Bureaucrat
- for double the money, the bureaucrat will gladly work on a stack of paperwork for you, post-haste! You need to keep an eye on them of course, so make sure you don't go anywhere.
22. Flea Market
- I don't like the auction house. Everytime I see the base price and the commission I'll lose for putting something up for auction, I get all queasy. A place where Glitchen can set up shop themselves would be great. Players can come buy as many items as they want (and not in predetermined stack sizes either), though the price is rounded up (if a purchase is worth 150.1, person is charged 151). I might be convinced to pay for the store space as a one time big time deal, but a free flea market would still honestly be best. Taxes are for bureaucrats, not Glitchen.
23. Mini me
- Remember when you were shrunk down to size, and you helped the dust bunny find his stone? I personally liked being small. Now, if there was a place for small people to hang out, maybe a bee hive... hey, free honey! Explore the combs, and stay away from the queen bee! Or you could go down the traditional rabbit hole... Speaking of rabbits, shouldn't we be shaking them down for chocolate?
24. Origami
- ... a thousand paper jujus! Just kidding. But Origami would make cute wall art. Finally, something to do with those notes! If you're a master origami folder though, perhaps you can use paper shuriken to keep the jujus away? Or make a pinwheel! Use some colored butterfly milk to stain it, leave it on some platform with the dozens of other pinwheels there... preeettyyyy. Think it could go on the cubimal wall?
I don't know what possessed me to write this post... I think I'm just really excited about house customization D: Forgive me?
