Copy Function
I'd like to see a "copy" function for notes so those who like to write newsletters or multiple notes can do so more easily.
To minimize the potential for abuse of this function, I suggest the following possibilities:
1. Make it a learnable skill, possibly called Scribery
2. Limit it so that each copy is made one at a time rather than many at once; it's more effort than doing many at once, but less involved than manually cutting and pasting.
3. Install a Copy Center with copying machines that are accessible in a few areas, similar to the way community machine rooms and bureaucratic offices are distributed. The copy centers could charge a fee per copy that would not be outrageous, but still require an investment on the part of the Glitch that would discourage abuse.
Making notewriting accessible to non-penpersons
I've seen quite a few people ask for penperson assistance from those of us who do have the skill. The problem with this is, the asker doesn't have his or her name on the note, so the content is assumed to be that of the note writer.
Instead, could we have an NPC functionary that can do this? Similar to the copy center idea above, have a scribery (call it Glitchleby's?) in the same place as the copy center. There would be a fee, and the player would need to supply the paper. The note would be signed with the player's name, perhaps with a "dictated to Glitchleby by Player_name"? And more awesomely, have the scribe randomly insert typos, translate into lolbutterflyspeak, or something else. Just for amusement, of course. :)
