Gather Ye Plops While Ye May!

Lol!  Thanks Devs, I am having so much fun with the garden restoration!

My Herb garden just broke and I got what looks like a good old-fashioned Street Project.  Yes, it requires a few things including labor but it is Fun and maybe (Hint, Hint) there will be a trophy for it at some point in the future or at least a good dose of iMG.  This was a Large Herb garden and here are the requirements to restore it:
12 Boards, 3 Strings -> 55 Units with a Construction Tool
150 Urth, 30 Peat, 22 Guano, 22 Piggie Plops -> 200 Units with a Shovel

Start gathering now because if you are not hoarding these things (I had all but the Plops) you can get ahead by gathering them.  This is the most fun I have had since I picked up all those Pumpkins from my floor at the Housing Reset!  Actually that is a lie because the Pumpkins were not Fun but this really is for me.  I fed my 4 pigs a lot of produce and got the plops easily.  If you have more pigs, it will be no problem at all.  Gathering plops took me about 1 min. with only 4 pigs!  Now that I know, I will gather and hoard plops every time I harvest so I will be ready for the next restoration which should come soon as I have a large Crop garden that was built at the same time as the Herb garden (though it may have slightly different restoration requirements).

  • Candidly, I find the projects a pain. I'd rather kill them off, and spend the img, which is rather a bit easier to gather.

  • I haven't worn out anything in my new yard yet (though I bet my herb garden is getting close by now), but I'm kind of looking forward to having a project to restore. It's a neat mechanic!

  • For those people who don't have all the skills, be aware that using the construction tool requires Furnituremaking 1, and digging requires Soil Appreciation 4 (i.e. more than you need for just digging piles). If you don't have those skills yet, you'll want them before your gardens break.

  • Ack!  I've donated all my Urth blocks!  Well, more work for me, then.  YAY!

  • I agree with Crashtestpilot - much easier to just remove.  I wish we would use wine to kill a current project, in case we decide we don't want to spend all our resources on it!

  • I enjoyed the barnacle and jellisac projects I've done so far.

  • Not urth block, it calls for lumps of earth.

    Edit:It says urth in the stuff need but the lumps of earth still say "earth". I wonder if they will make those the same.

  • Phew!! I thought blocks.

  • It easily took me over 1000 energy, but that kinda worked out because it was almost the end of the day  ;)

  • So THAT's why someone was complaining about multiple seeds being in a plop - individuals are needed for the projects!  Ugh, back to feeding 3 at a time >_<

    Do we perchance get the seeds back when we make the project? (find them whilst we spreading everything out in the new plot, you see)

  • NOT Urth BLOCKS!  Just Urth!  You can dig it in a dirt pile!  Sorry, I have trouble with "urth" and "earth", my bags are labeled "Soil".

  • I haven't finished yet, just need a little more shoveling and construction.  It does use a lot of energy so I am taking a little time but am nearly done.  i truly have enjoyed doing this though I can see how many people might prefer to just pay something and be done with it.  I always enjoyed projects so these little home projects are fun for me.  Maybe we can get friends to help?  Have a party!

  • I foresee a new way to make currants in Glitch. If you don't have all the skills necessary to repair one of your resources, why not hire someone to come help? I see a handyman group in the making. All we need now are pants that show plumber's crack!

  • Those of us with the skill will generally start or even complete a project when we come across one on a home street.  No charge necessary (and we'll often fill up your herb plots too : )

  • Multiseed plops should be usable for projects, they just cost more crops to make.

  • +1 Arabesque! A bunch of people repaired a friend's plot then repaired mine.
    People brought what they had and were glad for the iMG. It was nice!

  • I LOVE the projects. So if you have one and don't want to spend the IMG, just holler! Now to go hoard more resources ...

  • I wish they would let us get the seed and still have the plop remain behind. Or do you get the seed back when you donate the plops to the project?

  • Yeah the heck with that. I'd rather just remove and restore spending img.

  • You can also use wine of the dead to unreap what you sow, and activate a project.

  • Do you like to project?

  • I love the projects. I mean, there's so few things we "have" to do around here, I like having little goals like that. I'm in the process of doing my herb garden right now.

    This made me laugh so hard, because I totally felt that way too.  Neverending pumpkins! Also, thanks for the heads up, Brib Annie :)
