Coin Limit

While playing last night, my first night here in Ur, I could no longer collect any "coins." Is there anywhere that explains this rule? Does it stop me from getting coins from quests, AH sales, etc. or just picking the ones up in the world? Thanks for helping out this noob.

  • You can only get 100 coins per game day.

  • No, the limit applies to just the free-floating XP, Currant, and Mood boosts that appear.

  • If you click on the game time in your upper right, it'll tell you how many coins you've collected for the day as well as some other # I can't remember right now.

If you get your max limit of coins for a certain # of game days in a row, you can get achievements for it!

If you go for the achievements, I recommend getting coins in the ancestral lands because they're worth a loooooot more than regular coins.

If I started all my statements with 'if', it probably would get annoying after a while.

  • Thanks for the responses. That makes more sense that it is just the floating ones, but I thougt it might be a FTP thing.

  • I don't mind the limit to coins, but I wish we could still get the noise as we pass them by!  LOL  I love that noise and jumping around, but after the limit the game seems...too quiet.

  • Yeah, dude, you totally misspelled quoin. HTH! HAND!

  • The game misspells quoins all the time.

Just to clarify, Big_JD, only the free-floating boosts are coins.  Although coins give you energy, currants, mood, time, and favor, you don't actually get coins from quests or auction sales.

  • Quoins.

The devs ate too many Sno Cones when they were tweaking in the limits for brain freeze penalty.    Somehow their brains translated some of the quoins into coins.

It will all get better soon, cause Blanky is making it all right now.

  • Yes, Quoins please :)

  • It's interesting to see that by calling them "coins" they become less distinguishable from the coin-shaped "currants" symbol.

  • QUoin.

    Q-u-i-o-n.

Cwoo-oyn. Not to be confused with Cuh-oyn.

  • It's coins. A coin by any other name is a coin. It's like saying money instead of currant.

  • Coins was a late change.  All through beta they were quoins.
Posted 14 months ago by WindBorn Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Yes, I thought the term quoin was much more glitchy...sad to see they are just plain old coins now, and much more confusing for currants now, IMO.

  • Even if the game called them quoins, they're still coins. They could call them floaties, but they're still coins. Because they are coins in function, they are coins in name as well.
Posted 14 months ago by Mr. Dawgg Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Actually, they don't have the same function. I've never hit my head on a floating 'coin' while walking down the street.

  • A quoin by any other name is still a quoin.  A quoin in need (of being collected) is a quoin indeed.
