A Libertarian Comment

Maybe many of the tweakings in the pipeline could be covered by adding buy orders to the Auction Hall and pinning vendor prices to the market rate for items (say 70% for buy and 120% for sale)?

I'm just saying, let the market solve what problems it can.

  • I don't understand. What do  you mean by "buy orders" and "pinning vendor prices"? And what kind of "problems" are you talking about? Can you be more clear, please?

ETA: as far as I understand your proposal it doesn't sound very libertarian to me. Or do you perhaps suggest the vendors should act more like individuals, setting their prices to compete with the Auction? You should know the Auction prices change like every hour...

  • AH buy orders always stabilize an economy. A sell-order only economy is too easily controlled by griefers.

  • Hey guys-- do you think you could flesh this out a bit here (http://www.glitch.com/forum/ideas/8519/)? I'm trying to think about ways we could regulate our Glitchy economy...
