Is there a centralized place to see updated content?

I notice for Minecraft, the Minecraft Wiki has a pretty detailed list of content added and changed with each update (as well as a list of content for future updates). Is there anything like that for Glitch, that I've just missed (especially in my recent absence)?

  • using the "test notes" search, I found the most recent updates of what's new for each test date.

  • I don't know of a centralized place for updated content. The closest seems to be the front page and using a "test notes" search as WindBorn suggested.

As for future updates, I think it might be nice to have a centralized place to see what devs have said they'd like to do (e.g. when reset might take place, ideas regarding sandbox-ness, the economy, etc.). As far as I know, this doesn't exist at the moment, but we could perhaps create a thread that collects links to various staff posts/comments. Anyone else interested?

  • Except for stoot's one experiment with getting player input, the dev's have pretty carefully avoided saying anything about the near-future plans or what's in progress.  We do have some generalized statements about group in-game 'houses', and being able to customize the look of our own homes happening after re-set, but it certainly makes a lot of sense that they would not want to raise our expectations and then fail to meet them.

It would be useful to collect what has been said about far-future plans, understanding that those will evolve before they are actually implemented.

  • Adding the "test notes" is a newer feature, but very beneficial.  I like how they update the thread when new changes are made after the test has already started!

  • I thing this is a fine project for someone to do on the wiki! (hint hint wink wink.) It would take some investigating using test notes here on the forums and the blog. Glitch Addict posts would also be a good source.

It would be nice to have a historical record.

  • This would be a really great page idea for the Wiki, but with so few people playing atm there are a lot of us working on the Wiki and there's not much work to be done!

Wait, strike that. Reverse it. Thank You! Alright then, moving along!

Once the number of players gets up to Minecraft levels there will be plenty of people offering their time to the Wiki or fan pages who will keep us up to date on these things! In the meantime the Test Notes stickies and forum threads are a great place to find out what the devs have changed. They usually post it right at the start of a testing phase, and keep it updated until testing is closed. This helps players know what to test so we can offer more useful feedback to TS.

  • Hee, nice Skwid. :)

Yes, I think this will be something to incorporate into the wiki.  Anyone nice enough on this end to post a link to all the URLs available with these updates?

  • Certainly, wherever this information is aggregated, it would be worth saying that future possibilities are just that - possibilities - and that we are fortunate to have devs give us a small glimpse into those possibilities, even if none of them come to pass.

Wiki would probably be a better place for this information, because threads can be lost easily. Perhaps two sections, one for past updates and one for in-process/future possibilities? It may also be worth identifying the source of the information, like the main home page, forums, an article, etc. Also, somehow there needs to be a balance struck between enough information and too much information.

I imagine the format will not end up exactly so, but perhaps something like this:

I agree - I'll see what I can do wiki-side for this content.
