I'm so livid right now! I replanted 3 wood trees and I came back to check on them and they were gone! Why, would someone do that? Animals I tell ya, Animals!!!!

  • And where were these wood trees :)? My guess is they were gone because someone harvested them :P Can't blame a fellow for coveting another creature's wood. Well, insofar as a tree is a creature. You get what I mean, though ;)

  • Because that always happens to wood trees and spice trees.

  • In all seriousness though I think only the words of the great Atticus Finch are applicable here ;)

You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view--until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.

Today maybe you planted wood trees in the hope that all would stop by and collect planks :) Perhaps, however, a Glitch wandered by and saw the stump of a wood tree and thought 'What a perfect opportunity to plant a Cherry tree and share the FROOT with the world!'

Pretend you're the Glitch with a taste for Frooooooot and their actions seem less like that of an animal :)

  • Pigs don't eat wood trees.

  • Yeah, some players have an aversion to wood trees and kill them wherever they find them. (Tiny Speck had to create the "magic forests" because of the wood tree haters.)

The only thing I can guess is that they're offended by the double entendres made by wood trees when you pet them. It must be terrible to have the crippling disability of lack of a sense of humor.

  • ...some people/players are idiots...

Oh, wait, did I post that out loud?!

Where on earth did you get that information?  Please post the link to where staff said that.

If TS had wanted to stop people from hating on wood trees, they simply would have changed how wood trees work. But they didn't.

We're about to need huge amounts of wood to expand our homes and make furniture. It's far more likely that TS created some never-ending magic forests to help meet that surge in demand.

  • @ Windborn yeah, because people keep killing 'em lolol

@Molly, I hope it wasn't me that upset you...I came across a couple of stumps on Hayden Seek Alley I think it was so harvested and cleared them then planted bean as that's what I had in my inventory.  No poisoning took place though.  I now leave my poison at home to save on accidental poisoning (which was happening more than I care to admit!)

  • I had a similar thought when I wandered onto Hayden Seek Alley today: "who would do such a thing as to replant the whole street with wood when there are 5 pigs here?" So I guess, as with history, the 'animals' in the story all depends on who the observer is.

  • They weren't fully engorged.

  • On the contrary, if they were fully engorged for an extended period of time they most likely needed some emergency procedures.

  • Hi thank you for all the replies, and no it wasn't that street Windborn. I'm feel better now I wasn't aware of the piggies needing food.
