just now found out in encyclopedia

in section "locations" the list of all the streets of Ur with green ticks infront of those I visited.

Am I alone so stupid and uncurious here, who discovered this wonderful piece of info only now, after reaching 47 level?
The easiest way to get completist badges is to check with list and see if there is no tick near. )))))

  • That came out when they revamped the encyclopedia.

  • In addition, as noted in that announcement, the Achievements page shows which ones you've attained. Both are super handy.

  • I don't have ticks. Is it likely to be the browser I am using (IE) Keep meaning to download chrome or firefox, which one is best for Glitch?

    Thanks!

  • Miss Parsley I like Firefox more than Chrome but have used both for Glitch and both worked well for me. Please dig a nice hole outside and drop your IE down as deep as you can before covering it up with some freshly dug loam ;)

  • Miss Parsley, I must second The Cat Face...the deeper the hole, the better!

  • Hey now; don't dig TOO deep or the people on the other side will suffer from it too!

  • Don't forget to dump some gas in and throw a lit match at it first ....

  • I prefer Chrome to FF, but I am a fan of both, and both seem to work okay with Glitch. I want to say at one point TS recommend Chrome, but I am to lazy to try to find that thread.

  • Before the encyclopedia update, I was using a Greasemonkey script + Firefox to determine which locations I was missing. Now, I'm happily playing Glitch in my favourite browser: Opera! Me and the 2 other glitchen ;)

  • Miss Parsley - I have to use IE at work and I get the tick marks here, so it is not the browser.

I won't say anymore about IE and how deep I think the hole should be.

  • Thanks kookaburra and everyone else who answered. I am using a netbook and the IE was already on there, keep meaning to change it (IE by inertia, I expect there is a lot of it about!) Used to use firefox then chrome on my pc, think i will try chrome.

It's still a mystery why i don't have green ticks. I have been looking by opening each street in turn and it says whether I have been there. It's a bit tedious!

    Thanks again :)

  • You might be in compatibility mode, if you uncheck that it should show the ticks :)

  • Anne216 you are a genius! I have the ticks. So happy, you have saved me so much time waiting for the pages to load and backing out to the list again.

For anyone else who might have this problem, it is easy to solve by clicking on the icon that looks like a torn sheet of paper in the address window. Mine was blue (to show it was on) and to see your ticks just click it and it will turn grey and the ticks will show.

    Thanks again anne216 (((hug)))

  • For those reading this on a Mac, while I use Chrome for everything else, there's a very problematic known bug with Mac Chrome and Glitch -- Safari works great with Glitch, though.
