Stop learning; Save time?

I know there will be a release of the Unlearning skills, but would you ever consider stopping your Magic Rock in order to leave room for the new skills that may be coming out? I say this because I recall in Beta when learning times actually went up to 15 days for me due to being over BL skill limit.

If we wait for the new skills, they will be considerably less time taken and we can always turn to the auction house for stuff that we aren't able to produce ourselves.

  • Personally no, I'll just attempt to save up emblems and raise that favor limit so that I can reduce the time out of any newer skills as much as possible.

Who knows when they will come out, let's say none come out for 3 months, I'll have wasted 3 months in which time I'd have finished all current skills, so that I could save maybe a week in 3 months to get that new skill?

  • I'm currently thinking about this too. The thing is there are skills that for me personally are not that interesting or not to my play style. New skills however might be a "must have!" skill and I will want to get it as quickly as possible. I'm still wondering if I'm willing to sacrifice those entire blocks of uninteresting/"not going to use" skills for faster acquisition of future "must have!" skills or not. Of course, it's always possible that one of those unlearned skills are required for learning the "must have!" skills but that is something that you cannot predict or control.

The answer I think is down to personal play style. If you're a completist for example, for sure you will want to learn all the skills available regardless of whether or not you will use it in the end.

  • It doesn't matter to me, as I plan on learning all of the skills at some point or another. Regardless of what I learn or when, plenty of skills are gonna end up taking me weeks to learn, and I don't really mind that, since I'm more of a casual player now.

  • Well you have to think that the devs will probably release new skills with either shorter learning times at first or just balance out the whole games skill algorythm themselves so that those who now have ( or will have by that time) completed skill trees won't be super penalized.
