Has anyone else noticed a bit of a problem with buns? There is exactly zero incentive to make them yourself.
The recipe calls for one salt and one flour.
The cost of an allspice is 3 currants. On Auction it's currently 6.6 though it deviates by about 3 in either direction, more with some frequency.
The cost of a flour is 7 currants. On Auction it's currently around 6.7.
All in all, depending on how savvy a seller you are, you can make anywhere between 9.7 and 13.6 currants per set of ingredients, give or take commission and listing fees.
That said, why would anyone make the bun themselves, expending additional time and energy, when a vendor offers them for less than the actual value of its ingredients?
