there'd be no way for them to show the "you are here".
certainly ways around that, but that's a pretty simple reason why. it would require some work to adapt the map to show you on the street the indoor place is connected to instead of the indoor place.
If memory serves me, the "Quarters" or Buildings dont show up on the main map. But why cant they just put a little marker on the the map at the entrance to your quarter on the street? Seems simple enough to me.
I don't even care if I can see the "you are here" part -- I just want to see the map of the world, where the vendors and shrines are, etc. The fact that I have to leave my house and go out to the street in order to see a copy of the map is just silly.
those places are not currently even connected to the map; you can tell that whenever you go anyplace indoors, the routefinder will say "you're off the path!" It doesn't do this in your apartment maybe, but I think it's still the issue -- think of it as they haven't yet told the routefinder where those places are.
Yes, please! Or I would at least like to be able to see it when I'm in my yard. You can see it from the yards and balconies in Alakol. Why should the rich get all the benefits? Kidding, but it would be nice to have everywhere.
I have the same problem. When I bought my house, and even currently, I can go to the reality page where my house is and set it as an in-game destination. Works just fine. So the route finder does have it somewhere in its database.
Only if you have an Alakol-style house, Skwid :p For those who don't have such a house, there are work-arounds, but the map doesn't show up automatically. +1 to the OP's idea :)
+1 I think it's reasonable if 2464 Mien Evoke Quarter simply shows up as Mien Evoke for the You Are Here in the map, if that's easier to implement. But I really want the indoor map so that I can plan where I'm going next. As just one example, I've got a few teleportation scripts in my storage from street projects in Besara and Kalavala. In order to figure out which one I need to get to the next area, I have to put them in my inventory, leave my house, check the maps, take them back in, put away the ones I don't need.......Of course, having more location related items indicate their local region, such as Bortola, instead of just Ur, would also be a huge help. I remember seeing that on a thread elsewhere.
