Or, maybe there could be a drink you make with the blender, like soda, from things like bubbles and fruit, that when you drink it, you're left with ice!
In days of yore, so I'm told, ice was cut from frozen lakes and ponds and then insulated with sawdust and shipped to urban centers. It might be nicer to have new areas that have ice as a resource that can be harvested and then sold at market.
I say this partly because I would like to see more economic activity between glitchen that occupy different niches within the overall economic landscape. The whole "I can make everything at home" schtick does not make for good social gameplay.
Maybe you could squeeze water to make ice (a la cheese). Of course, that brings up the question of where we get the water.
That leads naturally into the idea of water in the world (lakes in streets and backyard ponds) and a new tool to dip it out and get units of water. Water would also be a natural ingredient in cooking and alchemy.
