Sharecropper Glitches

I posted this elsewhere, but here is my take on the plots in our housing streets.   With the new housing, the owner must pay/build/imagine the plot to put in right?  So rather than discourage others from harvesting, it could be used as a community & economy builder.

Like sharecroppers, if one Glitch harvests another  Glitch's street plot then they pay half of the crop etc, as a kickback.  Like 50% of the crop, favor points, or XP.  Or a third, something.

It's a win/win situation really; A person harvests seeds they didn't plant and gets 50% of the return and pays the land owner for what they harvested.    Sharecropper Glitches.

and if someone plants seeds in another Glitch's plot, they should likewise get something larger in return than XP and Mood.  Say perhaps "harvest credits"  perhaps that can be used to "pay" for harvesting another person's plot somewhere (or the same one, you get the idea).  Or helper badges, something to make it worth it.

Otherwise, you will see less people putting street plots in due to the possible negative return on investment.

Just an idea! What do you think?

  • If they're going to keep them available for anybody to use on your street, then i absolutely love this idea!

I, personally, do not care what they do with our public streets as far as plot sharing because I use my backyard for everything that I need.

  • I love this idea! It would be really nice if I didn't have to live in constant fear that 100% of my Yellow Crumbs will get poached.

  • This might actually work if you got MORE crop when one plants and another harvests, sort of like rocks are advertised to do when you 'help mine'.   Example - you plant potatoes, you harvest.  You get X potatoes.  BUT, suppose you plant potatoes and someone else harvests - you would both get (X / 2) + N potatoes.   IE, cooperative gardening would give a bonus.
