Techie question about Flash and 64bit Linux

I've just installed  Ubuntu 10.4 on a 64 bit PC.  There is apparently a bug with current flash that prevents it from installing into this configuration.  The solution is to install Adobe's beta 64bit Flash 11.  This installs and works, but, of course, when I run any TS flash-driven page I get the "That's some cutting-edge flash.  Glitch works best with Flash 10.4" message.  So... I'm wondering will I really have problems when Glitch opens running a Flash 11 version (apart from problems related to the Flash itself being beta)?  If so can anyone tell me how to install a 10.4 (or older) version of Flash into a 64bit version of Linux?  (I'm not sure whether the particular Flash problem exists for all 64bit Linux, only 64bit Ubuntu, or only 64bit Ubuntu 10.4)

  • There's a "Ubuntu users" group. I only know enough to be a danger to myself, but other people in the group should be able to discuss this intelligently and mabe even be helpful. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and the most up-to-date regular release flashplayer works fine.

  • I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 (the upgrade is worth it). I'm also using Flash 11. Flash 10 does work though. The problem with the 64 bit version of Flash 11 is that there is no debug version. :(
And I think it's been causing other system problem. @Chickgeek is the founder of the Ubuntu users group (I'm a member).
