Removal of certain furniture and updating of styles with no official notification

As a furniture seller I have noticed a bunch of different pieces have been removed in the last few days. I was just wondering what the reason is for removing some of the pieces? I won't give examples in forum to give other furniture sellers a chance to remove those items from sale first.

I also understand that you wanted to update the rook stuff to the more realistic thinner twigs, (personally I preferred the old), for consistency reasons.

What I don't understand is how people who have purchased the old style but have since changed the style of a piece of furniture for temporary purposes are no longer able to revert back to the original thick twig style they purchased (Refer to this thread).

I know that you will probably say "but people can ask for a refund'' and I think that is missing the point. Furniture and clothing purchases are based purely on the seemingly shallow principal that you like the way something looks.

I want the original item that I purchased with my hard earned money/credits, but cannot help that my bed was in the shape of a sloth at the time of removal of design as I was too busy having a sloth knockin' party. It just makes me super paranoid that I shouldn't upgrade a piece of furniture more than once in fear of possible changes or removal of design.

Is it possible to be able to be given the option to revert furniture back to the item design that was originally purchased?

  • Sorry, Cleops. :(
    Here is the reason: www.glitch.com/forum/genera...
I also commented on one of your snaps which pretty much said:
I will take the blame for pushing for their removal. But after seeing the inspirations behind those designs, they were just a little too close for comfort. And if I were the original creator of the nest bed and saw that Zynga had decided to sell it in Farmville for real coin, I would say "Eff you Zynga, you effin' effers!". Like, way more than the usual amount, I mean.
We made a mistake. And we will work harder and harder every day except christmas to make better things that you won't even remember we used to have these old furnitures!

  • My friend got a pop up on her bed that had originally been a rook bed asking for her to re-purchase the rook style (new). I asked her to log it as a bug as it isn't right to be double charged.

  • Thanks Kukubee (hope Santa brings you coal...not really...well....:)

So it will never be possible to revert back to the original style due to the copyright-ish issues?

Also, what about the other pieces of furniture that have been removed from sale - some seating and decos?

  • That is so the opposite of cool. That's like Paul Pfeiffer uncool.
It is currently midnight here but we will discuss this in the morning and fix it. But i can assure you we will not be bringing back the old pieces. But double charging for the revised set sucks dongs. We will fix that problem.

  • I hadn't appreciated the copyright aspect of it before. Makes a lot more sense.
