Just wanted the devs to know that overall the game is really great. If I had to grade it, you'd get an 'A'!
Here are my thoughts on various aspects of the game in no particular order.
-The look is fantastic. The characters, the items, the different areas, are all so vibrant. The look recalls fond memories of playing Chrono Cross for the PlayStation. The market is flooded with games like World of Warcraft where the game world is very boring and cliche. It's like "Forest area, desert area, snow area, castles... ZZZzzzzz." Glitch has these places but it's just so much more fun to look at. The colors pop, and the world is populated with mundane things like pigs and chickens, but also strange things like Street Spirits, and that mushroom-looking Cooking vendor.
-The skill system is interesting. Using time as the measure with which you learn skills is something I haven't seen before and I wonder how it will hold up when the game is open 24/7. I think it would be interesting to make skills that don't help improve your Energy/Mood expenditure or XP reward. For example, a "Music" skill tree where you go on a quest to build a guitar(or accordion or something) and though it provides no real game bonus, it looks cool and plays a short melody. In fact, this system could be seperately named the "Hobby" system or somesuch.
-I like the dialogue with the Magic Rock. It's snarky and funny and I actually want to read it. It's not like other games where you are presented with a block of flavorless text that is "Kill X number of this and bring me back the item they drop."
-Let me drop stuff but make it un-pick-upable (that's not even a word) for like 10 seconds, so I can manage my full inventory without having it stolen by someone who thought I was just dropping it for kicks.
-I like the avatar design options. Consider adding quests where the prize is a unique article of clothing. Also, making clothing could be a skill tree. Picture it, harvest cotton trees, shave a sheep for wool, or alchemy up some polyester.
-I'm assuming home customization is going to get a lot better. I didn't care about purchasing a home until I had some questless downtime, but now I want all sorts of stuff in my house.
-Mass transit system. The teleportation skill is something I learned right away but it is not robust enough for the size that Glitch will become.
-Last thing: The players have been really friendly and helpful. It's a great community that I hope only gets better.
Thanks!
