I love Ajaya Bliss. It's the most social part of the game for me and people are amazingly helpful there. Seriously, after a long day I love being in a group where people are cooperating and being nice :)
I just got a key. I need a large amount of shiny elements to craft my powders and AB is the quickest way to get it. So, i'm sorry, not going to happen.
Whoa, whoa, I'm sorry - I absolutely should have caveated my post. I've had a lot of fun in ab and Neva Neva myself. The players in there, in my experience, have been awesome.
My post above was extremely tongue in cheek, and should be read as such. Sorry for any confusion.
I am sorry that this message came out with such dramatic impact. That was not my intention but I am unable to explain why it happened this way at this time.
I can tell you that changes need to be made to the Ajaya Bliss space for the good of all Glitch participants.
I am wondering why the original title of my message was changed.
I'm glad that all the hardcore miners are behind locked doors. I do a full Callopee run every couple of days, meet no more than 1 or 2 people to share with per street and easily fill 5/6 big bags. I meet new people every time which I love, and stil have far much more money than I need.
I disagree with your stance on changes. Ajaya is working fine the way it is now. The occasional bump we run into is settled between the players or `if requiring greater action by staff. I don't understand why many say that Ajaya is ruining Ur or harmful to its residents. It's a group of people on a street enjoying mining. What is so horrible about that?
What changes need be made? There have been several changes already… spawn locations randomized, spawn times randomized, bonus amount reduced, access changed, key spawn randomized, location of key spawn changed.
Bottom line is if you don't like Ajaya, don't go there. It has a key for a reason. I've had great experiences both in the locked areas and out. They're just very different.
I myself don't understand all the forum posts about the problems with AB. Perhaps I'm not in there at the right times, but I have never had anything but a good time in there. Yes, it's a bit overwhelming at first, but the people there are helpful, friendly, and they make it easy to get the hang of it. I'm with Deff and Rathany on this one.
I agree. I have read all of dmnddgs posts about Ajaya and I have not gotten a clear idea of what he thinks is wrong or what he thinks needs to change. I have a great time in AB and see no problems with it at all.
For a second reading the OP I thought it a dev asking us, cause only a dev could ask something like that? Then I saw the poster and I was even more confused. I have seen the previous thread and decided not to post since it was already too dramatic, but this is just ridiculous.
Let's be perfectly clear here. No zone in the game can force players to behave better or worse.
I've only been in Ajaya Bliss once following someone, and while the sparklies were good, for me personally the vast number of glitches jumping all around in such a tight space was making me dizzy so I left rather soon. BUT I could also see how much fun they were having, and I perfectly understand that most players do not have my problem and can stay there for a long time. And thats entirely their choice and their right.
(I did spend more time in Neva Neva and it was a good time)
IF some disagreement should happen between players, trolling, fighting, bugs, whatever, I dont see what the zone you're in has any relevance to the issue.
In the same spirit as that of the OP, I would like to ask dmnddgs to stop going to Ajaya Bliss or making threads about it, if what happens there bothers him so much.
We have every right to go in any area that is put at our disposition by the devs, and we have to follow the rules of behaviour no matter the zone we are in. We also have the right and means to remove ourselves from any stressful/bothersome situation.
I wonder why the individual who changed the title of the post is so frightened of me and what I represent that he cannot answer me. Their silence should tell us all something.
dmnddgs, why are you commanding other players? First you tell everyone to leave Ajaya Bliss, then you tell us we're not allowed to post in your thread anymore...? And you're so matter-of-fact about it, like naturally, if you say something, it shall be done.
And also, the fact that you seem to think that the developers are frightened of you. What exactly is your theory supposed to tell us?
I'm not even sure the title of the thread has changed since you first posted. Other possibilities include:
the title of the thread had not changed
you changed the title of the thread yourself and just forgot
staff changed the title because it broke one of the Community Guidelines
If it has, only you or a staff member can change it, and, since you are playing in their game, there's no reason for them to be afraid of you. Other possibilities include:
the change was so trivial that there's nothing for them to comment on
they are ignoring your post because it really has no impact on how other people play the game
you don't represent anyone else but yourself, and there is no reason to be concerned.
@Windborn (in response to the possibilities you listed)
The first and original name of this thread was "is it down to close down ajaya bliss"
which I remember because I thought he was asking if the game was closed for the moment in order to kick everyone out of Ajaya and close it off forever. When it became clear the game was still up and running and nothing out of the ordinary was happening in Ajaya, I stopped being as interested in this thread.
Dude, it's time for YOU get out of Ajaya Bliss. Seriously. It seems to be bad for your mental health. You need to find other areas in Glitch that don't upset you so badly.
O.K. I see there is a lot of confusion about what is going on and what I am trying to do, so let me outline a few things and set the record straight.
First, I am sorry that this message was posted in the first place and caused such a ruckus. But in retrospect, it has got us talking, right? And that can only be a good thing, regardless of what you think about what I have done.
Secondly, in no way do I wish to command what happens in this game. A lot of the things I say in the game space are in the guise of my character DD. To minimize your confusion when you interact with me, I am going to follow two simple rules:
1) In the game space local chat and other broadcast chat windows, I will speak in the voice of DD (and if you want to know who DD is you can find out by following me on my Google+ space)
2) If I ever talk to you through IM it will be my true self talking to you. I will talk about anything you want. You can ask me anything you want. I may not be able to tell you everything at the time, but I will never lie to you or try to deceive you. Also, if I post in the forums it will be me speaking not DD.
Now about my relationship to A.Bliss. Yes, I was addicted to it and it has caused me some pain as you will realize if you have read any of my previous threads. Take a look at the way I harshed some individuals thinking it was all good fun. This was when I was still forming the character DD and I thought that at the time he should continue to be present here outside of the game space. So I understand if up to now you have been confused, by what I am doing I truly do. Let's try and draw a line under that and move on. There is a quote I came across some time ago that I think sums it all up:
"Everyone knows where we have been. Let's see where we are going!" - Another
Let me begin to wrap this up by letting you know that my relationship with Glitch and the world of Ur has changed. So while DD still hangs out in the mines, you might see him wandering through other spaces around Ur. DD has a journey to go on and it has only just started.
Now, I realize some of you may think I have lost it - lololol. Let me assure you that I have never been this sane before (what a relief!). You can continue to mock me, give me grief or as DD would say "harsh up my shine". I welcome you to do so. I will not respond to your unconsidered criiticisms but I love you for it anyway, I may laugh at you but I am not mocking you. I believe that we should always look at what we put out there and reflect on what that says about our intention and mindset at the time. It's like my girl jurijuri told me "haters gonna hate", lol
We have been given a wonderful place to explore here in Glitch. It can be anything you want.
Thank you for the tip Lord Bacon-o, I am still getting used to the various interfaces. As I have said before I am an old fart but I am willing to learn :)
OH SNAP I've been name dropped! Guess that means I need to put in my two currants.
Ajaya's unofficial motto is "come for the mining, stay for the chat." If anyone reading this thinks AB is intimidating or overly aggressive, I would like to invite you in for a Gurly Drink and some chat. We've had levitation trees, a crossword puzzle contest, random trivia questions, and a million cubimal races. People hand out food and drink, others radiate, and we all work together to mine sparkly - when we remember to. Heck, I've probably handed out a dozen cubimals to Ajayans just for funsies.
tl;dr I don't get the Ajaya hate. But yeah, haters are indeed gonna hate.
Different strokes for different ... And I'm out. This thread is baffling. Whatever you guys are on, give me some, because you're on a totally different wavelength.
Regarding the original subject, I have nothin' but love for bliss and Neva, and all it's many inhabitants. You guys are good times. I would never agree to shut y'all down, and anything above to the contrary was in jest.
Mining in glitch is like sex; some like it hard and fast, others like it long and slow, and some like it both ways. But at the end of the day, we all get some.
I don't get where all the negativity is coming from o.O
My experiences in AB has been positive so far. No one bosses you around like I experienced @ that "other" mining place...people there were barking orders and would flip out if someone new joined the cave and didn't know there was a "routine" to follow..and god forbid you start mining without other people!
AB is so social and people cooperate really well. It just goes to show that Glitchens needs a designated spot to hang out at. I really love the socializing @ AB and don't mind if I miss mining a sparkly or two because I am busy typing
