Audio notification when entering a street

Automatically play a sound when a glitch enters a street. Similar to how the local chat "announces" that "Player_xyz is here!", this would just be an audio indication.
- Make it short - similar in length to music blocks or shorter
- User customizable so user can choose their own sound
- User customizable so user can turn it off or on (both hearing and announcing)
- Could be monitized like current clothing choices

  • I do think that we should have a more elaborate mechanism for controlling which sounds we hear (other than just music and effects).  Until that happens, I would also be opposed to more sound effects.

    The sound effects are too repetitive and I'd rather listen to music while I play.  The only ones I've found useful are the "sproing" sounds of the targets resetting in Ancestral Lands and the tone when you enter a street with a DNA cluster for you.

  • I rather not have an an announcement every time I enter a street, it I really need to know what street, I look at the map. Nice thought though, just not my cup of tea. Keep with the good work.

  • Ever work retail at a store that had a doorbell?  It gets old fast.  If this feature could have a meaningful use, such as being a short announcement that is intended to help those who are vision impaired, and it could be a choice to have it turned on or off yes.

    Otherwise... go work in the mall during the holidays and see how fast your mind changes.  Hearing the same song five times a day is enough to make anyone annoyed. Multiply that times how many players are in the game.  O.o
