RFC 854.14c (Donation/Selling Interface)

Synopsis:

When donating an item to a shrine you get an interface that is just a screen of your entire inventory of donatable items.   When selling things to a vendor, you get 1 slot in which you have to drag items to.

Proposal:

Choose one or the other.

Preference:

Use the donation style interface since it's easier to pick the items without going through every bag in your inventory.

  • Preference: I'd keep the selling interface as it currently exists since I don't enjoy having to hunt through a visual representation of every single item in my possession at the moment of donation. (Though in case of Rook attack donations where speed is of the essence I can live with it.)

And I actually like going through each bag at the vendor. Sometimes it is like looking through each pocket of a jacket or pair of pants you haven't worn in ages, and suddenly you find that hunk of cash you had forgotten about (or the dried-out Banana No-Name).

  • Preference:

Keep selling interface as it is.  The donation interface is much too likely to select the wrong thing when you're on a laggy connection.

  • Preference: keep selling interface as it is, and change donation interface to be the same.

My connection is often laggy and it can take a long time for the donation interface to fully populate with all of the items in my inventory. During a Rook attack, the lag is even worse because there is so much going on; I might only get one or two donations in (if that) per round. I usually leave the interface closed and drag stuff to the shrine, but that runs the risk of accidentally giving the item to another player instead of donating it (again, because of lag).
