A visible mark for which items I haven't touched and which places I haven't seen?

The completionist in me wants to see every street and collect every item... but I have no idea where I've been and what I've held. Could there be some visible difference to distinguish the places/things that have been witnessed compared to those that haven't?

  • Perhaps a different colour shading on the map of places you haven't been...perhaps showing less clearly what is there on the map so that you "discover" it.

  • I like Mimi's idea of different color shadings.
An alternate idea similar to Mimi's second suggestion is to obscure/partially obscure unvisited areas with some sort of misty thing or clouds. Or maybe leaves, depending on which area of the map it is? and rocks or something for the mining areas....  For this idea, I would leave the lines of the streets on the map, but put/scatter a few/pile of clouds/leaves/rocks/dirt on the name and info of the unvisited street.

  • i hate the fact that there is no way to know where we have/have not been, as I have spent hours go to/from places, over & over again, missing the same one street i didnt discover, until i finally finish the area, having wasted many hours of my time. There has to be implemented something telling us where we have not yet been, as to discover the whole area, and getting the achievement for doing so.

  • There IS currently a way to see which locations you have been to, but it is slow and burdensome to navigate. Basically, if you click on Encyclopedia, then locations - you can see a complete list of street names organized within regions. Each street name is a hyperlink. Click on any one, and it will tell you information about your visits (e.g.,
You've been here 6 times, most recently 2 hr 14 min ago)

  • There's a greasemonkey script that automates the encyclopedia process, but takes awhile to load. It's been mentioned in the forums somewhere...

This would be a good feature though.
