Well, your glitch doesn't really have a sex, but it does have a gender if you assign it one. Why not switch it up? Explore some other vanity and wardrobe options? Could be fun.
@Scarlett Bearsdale
I began to take interest in appearance at last as an old dog.
being a girl in reality makes me happy, then perhaps if I am girl in Glitch too I'll be twice as happy as I am now?
:)
Many people change, sometimes daily. I am female and so I consider my glitch as female but "she" could just as easily be "he". However my name may always indicate my true sex or at least, I have yet to meet an male named "Annie". I haven't really thought much about but one day a Newb asked if I were male or female. I was dressed in my Gorilla suit at the time.
I changed my name to one that was gender neutral because I wanted to wear a hairy chest or shirt and tie once in awhile for fun. I dress girlie about 80% of the time---the other 20% is with guy clothes. I hope beards will be offered one day.
Gender is also a spectrum... it'd be cool if we could hit more that beautiful David Bowie androgynous place with our glitch appearances.
My glitch is female because a lot of playing glitch (dressing my little avatar, chatting with folks, playing house) really delights my inner little girl. And regardless of your chromosomal makeup in real life, you've got an inner little girl.
I could take it so far to talk about the Jungian theories of Anima/Animus and say that part of our evolution into becoming whole people is to explore both of our inner genders (or the whole continuum of gender.) You needn't express it in an outward fashion, but you should have peace with and knowledge of your inner feminine and masculine.
So who knows, maybe only glitch "females" will get access to beards. :)
I did it and now I am calm and radiant inside. My inner little girl and my glitch avatar are now in concordance. ))))
such a different feeling, you know. :)
