Would you like to extract your Glitch avatar?

If you would like to extract a GIF of your adorable little Glitch avatar performing an animation, that is the first feature available of a new site I'm working on:
glitch-playhouse.org/portfolio.php
(After authentication, click the Portfolio tab.)

The main function of the site isn't complete yet, but if you're curious, here's where I'm heading:

  • It'd be nice if Chrome didn't want to download it instead of playing it in the browser.

  • would you mind sharing that with the crew who do the glitch fashion site?

  • The GIF generator is cool! Can't wait to see the rest.
    EDIT: crazybat.ca/gfx/surprise.gif :)

  • @Fokian Fool it plays in-place for me in Chrome on Mac.  More info would help me look into the problem.

@ICountFrom0 I'd be happy to.  The Fashion Fun group seems to be inactive, and the Glitch Fashion Fun post I could find has been closed due to inactivity.  If you have a suggestion as to where I can contact them, I will do so.

  • nha, this one

    glitchmash.iamcal.com/top/

glitchmash, I'd love to see it with animated avatars, if only for the top 10

    perhaps via www.iamcal.com/ ;

  • Yeah, I can see the avatars walking a runway, or at least using the happy emote.

  • Can't wait to see all that happen! That timeline seems like a fun thing to code O_O
Do you plan to let people choose different backgrounds for the plays? (like in the post I linked in your previous thread)
Btw on the portfolio, the animation now works for me on firefox :]

  • @Lemo yeah, there are already a couple of choices for backgrounds, which you set up on the Playbill page.  I'm sure more will come over time, but I want to see how the current format works first.

Good to hear that the animations are working for you.  By the way, I updated the version of ImageMagick on that server so transparent backgrounds should work well now.  (I use one of these on the Credits page.)

  • Hey Janitch
Still working on this?  Tried to start a play the other day but the timeline edit isn't ready I guess
Btw it would be neat to have world items as props as well!

  • Yeah, I'll finish it eventually.  I've been busy at work and haven't had time lately, but thanks for taking a look!

Actually, the rendering part is working (you can use the auto-generated sample play where you tell a Henny Youngman joke), but the editing functionality still has a long ways to go.

  • Well, it will be awesome when it is done. :)

Edit: The sample play is too cute. :)
