I have to agree with our devs, piggies/chickens/butterflies inside towers seems sad, therefore(!)
I propose we get a barn ~with functional doors which we can open and shut at will, so we can
choose to leave our animals inside the barn, or let them roam outside, in the sunshine! =)
He wasted credits specifically picking out a floor, wall, and ceiling to go with a pig barn. Hence why I think he might have a fair case to ask for a refund for those items.
The reason animals get sad in towers is because they are semi-public/semi-private spaces … and history has shown that any place which can have animals in Glitch soon will be coated with a uniform spread of piggies, butterflies and chickens.
Not everyone likes there to be animals in covering every available space (sometimes because it get a bit boring to see the same thing everywhere, sometimes because they interfere with other actions and sometimes for performance reasons).
So, once we build a way for the owner to decide whether or not to allow animals, we can start allowing animals (though it would be off by default). That way, people who don't want animals inside their towers won't have to come back to towers filled with animals … and people who do want 'em can have 'em.
Separate from this one issue, it is exciting to imagine future iterations of towers where each floor can be entirely it's own environment — so, an outdoor floor (complete with cultivation) sandwiched between a trophy room and a building materials store.
Will allowing critters be toggle-able per floor? Because I want piggies in my tower for one reason and one reason only.
I also need a rotating top floor. With a viewing balcony. And a second b0tler (that I may or may not name Max Quordlepleen).
Because when you've done six impossible things, you've GOTTA top it off with breakfast at Milliways, the restaurant at the end of my street! (Would you like to meet the meat?)
Jennyanydots, you are my new favourite. And I would LOVE to meet the meat. My friend, however, is vegetarian, so could you bring us a talking cauliflower? :D
