Honey Badger Don't Care

Since eventually we're going to be able to collect or craft all the items currently available from vendors, honey is going to have to come from somewhere. I think that honey coming from the most ferocious of all creatures, the Honey Badger, would be amazingly true to the spirit of Glitch.

Much like eggs don't come from chickens and butterflies have nothing to do with flowers, I think honey coming from a badger somehow would be amazing. We also already have a lot of sly references to culture, from AOLspeaking butterflies to sparkly vampire-disliking rocks. Plus, the possibilities for shouts are wonderful. I would love to harvest honey from a badger hive only to have it say "honey badger don't care," a true Ur critter excited to share its bounty with helpful Glitchen.

For a fantastic video of the honey badger in action, check out this video (warning: language).

  • +1.  Anything involving honey badgers is ALMOST as good as anything involving sloths.

  • Yes, honey badgers may just be the only animal capable of following the sloth.

  • I would prefer a Honey Bunny, as I've suggested in the past. Shake it for hunny. But ya know, I'm not picky, I could have the bunny be shaken for ice cubes instead or whatever.

Either way, Honey Badger Eggs, Baby Honey Badgers, and ability to youth potion and place them in our backyards would be lovely. A fourth player-controlled critter would be nice. :)

That honey badger video has always creeped me out.

Badgers are nasty ugly little creatures. I live in Wisconsin (the badger state) so I know.

I agree with Lorraine, I would really really love to have honey bunnies. Or honey bees would be good too. It would be cool if a honey bunny hutch or a honey bee hive were objects we could place in our yards.

Maybe I should change my name to OMG HONEY. It worked for bacon...

  • Or, though maybe this is too logical, a honey bear.

  • Honey bear is way too obvious, that would be like getting honey from bees! Imagine that, pssh. Bunnies is quirky too though, I like the idea of shaking a bunny for ice or honey.

  • +1 for honey badgers! Just the kind of awesome to add to the glitch experience :)

  • I would love a bumble bunny.  Hybrid of the bees and bunnies... Bumble bunnies would busy themselves burying honey.  Everyone knows that honey is milk of the earth.  So this explains how it got there.

Hehe.  I just made myself laugh at what would probably be cause to medicate me if it were not in this context.
