I'm not sure if this already exists or not, I only just joined the beta a few days ago. The app I made allows you to search the features of a street by region.
I was always looking for the closest rock or shrine to my current location, but there isn't an easy place to find that information. Eventually, I'd like to add a pathfinding algorithm that tells you the closest street that has the item you're searching for. I'd hate to go through all the trouble if it already exists though. There's also no styles, I wanted to wait and see if this would be useful to people or not.
It does have the ability to set a street as your destination, I think. I never got a chance to test it before the beta closed again.

I went ahead and completed a breadth first search algorithm to find the nearest location. I occasionally receive errors from what I think are bad accesses to streets that don't exist. This code could use some cleanup to catch errors like this and be more user friendly, but again, just focusing on the functionality.

Not so much a
creation as just a couple things I made to structure playing with the API, but
www.101suburbia.net/glitch/ has the world's simplest Glitch Trumps (Glumps? No, never mind), and a quick and dirty stuff finder.
It's all pretty heavily cached while I'm poking at it, so info's not current or anything.

Allows users to add items they want to build in game to a list.
After the items (and quantities) chosen, the app will let the users know what items they are missing to finish the recipes they added to the list.
There's also the possibility to filter the items that need to be bought on each vendor.

I'm slowly building a random collection of things. The most interesting ones:
Inventory of Ur lets you find your nearest patch, wood tree or firefly swarm. This updates every couple of hours.
Auction price watcher is interesting to watch when the game is up - it shows you arbitrage opportunities, has over a month of history with interesting graphs; for example, see the
decrease in price of allspice during the last test.

I'm working on a better API wrapper for PHP; I released version 1.0.1 today. It's currently packaged as a plugin for CakePHP, but I also plan to release a general-use version of it in the near(
-ish) future, hopefully.
One of the biggest improvements over the current PHP API wrapper is
super-simple OAuth2 code-based authentication. Right now it only has method wrapper functions for the skills methods. It does direct requests to the API, and a big update is coming in the next couple days that will add wrappers for all available API methods.
Future plans include helper functions for easy rendering of various Glitch-related things, such as animations. Let me know what you think! I'd love to hear your feedback, and if you have any questions, I'd be glad to answer them.

This looks impressive.
Having written
my own API abstraction for CakePHP, I'd suggest looking to restructure your plugin somewhat. Connection to the API should be handled through a datasource. Calls to the API would be issued implicitly through models using the datasource. There is also technically no need to "out source" the specific API call implementation to classes in
lib.
Regardless, one thing that struck me when looking through your code is the
initialize() method in the
GlitchApiComponent. You're instantiating a new object for every possible class of call. It would probably be better to think of a somewhat more
lazy method of loading the right class / instantiating the right object for the task at hand.

Revilo, thanks a lot for the input! I'd really like to discuss it more with you, if you're willing; having another interested mind to exchange ideas with would be wonderful. As you likely know, when you're just working on something alone, it can tend to be difficult to break out of your established thought patterns.

I am working on a route planning system which allows users to set waypoints. It is just a proof of concept at the moment, but in a later stage of development i want to add clickable maps like the ingame map, maybe a search for streets or planning a route by resources...

It allows browsing the world by region and each region by street, showing maps along the way. It has a nice feature for searching by regions and streets by one or more resources, including the production of a heatmap as well as street links.
In terms of resource search, it has some overlap with the excellent Glitch Resource Database, which I didn't know about until someone mentioned it to me after seeing my site. However, the approach is different enough that I think both sites are useful for exploring the world of Ur.
