What you gotta do, Haze, is find the flurbleforp in your browser, and jiggywigget it a bit. Then reboot your computer five times, and you'll be all set.
I tried rebooting, that didn't help at all. I think its a problem with the server side of the game. And there is a "We're currently closed" sign no matter which browser I use.
The problem might have been related to this account's user name, which contained a lot of squares, but for some crazy reason the number of characters in the user name increased over time...
Here's a quote from stoot from the other thread on when they are going to fix it...
"We're ALREADY fixing it!"
Posted 2 hr ago by stoot barfield
Since that quote is from 2 hrs ago, I would say they are well aware of the problem, and they are going to fix it. In fact, to be more specific, they are already starting to fix it.
I'll let you guys know what else I find out re: the fixing
I just heard from a source that the problem might have been related to a user's account name.
Their name might have been adding characters over time and it caused crashes for some people's games.
Here is an update from stoot. His update is entitled "Update."
Update (at 10:53pm, pacific): But, seriously, it was more complicated than we thought. And, we're taking extra to make sure that we lose nothing. Still working!
Based on this update, one can only assume that the problem was more complicated than they originally thought.
We can only hope that they take extra care in resolving the problem, so as not to lose any data. Hopefully they are still working on the fix!
Haze! You are a true hero! Where the devs failed, you have stepped in and spoken directly to the people! I applaud you for your service in getting to the bottom of this.
Guys, in case there is any confusion, Haze is trying to figure out what's going on. Here's an update from Haze.

Based on this information, we can only surmise that Haze is actually looking into what the problem is. Thanks so much, Haze!
Everyone, I just got word from Jimothy that Haze is collaborating with the devs to get a straight answer as to what is going on:

Update: Great news from up on high! There is actually a thread discussing the incident right now. Haze announced and promised frequent and/or infrequent updates if you check this thread.
Update: Those pertinent facts relate to the boredom related to the fixing of the problem.
Says stoot "Update (20-something minutes later): I'm still bored of this problem. It's boring."
Based on this statement, we can only imagine that some of the devs are in fact bored. And its most likely as a result of fixing this problem. This is likely because the problem is believed to be "boring" (re: stoot's comment "It's boring.")
Okay based on what we already know about the issue I did some research and found this documentary footage that may shed some light on the current situation:
@Jimothy, Sorry I missed your post. It got lost among all of my updates.
These look like great threads to use as reference for our reports. Your source is just filled with hard hitting facts, as reported by this post. I'm sure these sources will be valuable resources for our future reporting.
Acting on a hunch, and with gentle guidance from diaveborn, I tried reading the stickied thread again for more information. It turns out the previously mentioned hard hitting facts, are in fact very hard hitting, and some would go so far as to say that they hit really, really hard.
Sample quote:
"Seriously, those facts hit really, really hard."
