Fuzzy Math

Hi I bought an upgrade to cut my intellectual learning skills speed by 20%. Before I bought it my Teleportation 5 was 15 days long and after I bought the card its 14 days long. Shouldn't 20% be more of a cut?

  • If you bought the 20% card that means that you already had the 15% card. The cards don't stack, so you only got a 5% increase. 5% of 15 days is 0.75 days or about 18 hours.

  • Were you already learning Tele 5?

  • By the way, I was considering purchasing Industrial Learning V because I still need a lot of the furniture skills, but even though my total learning time is almost 45 days, all I would save is like 2-3 days on learning. Not worth the 20,000 iMG points in my opinion.

  • No not yet, I'm finishing Levitation first then I'm going to do Teleportation 5.

  • This is another case where explicit wording would be a huge help.

"You currently are learning 15% faster than normal. This card will increase that percentage to 20%. This will reduce 5 days' time of learning to 4."

  • If TRB4 is correct about the cards, that would be "This will reduce 5 days' time of learning to 4.7."
