I was just heading out to Ix to harvest alspice, vapor and bubbles to have my stocks well up for the next round. Unfortunately, I hit the wall with major game lag and decided to quit until next test. :-(
Was worried about missing out on swapping skills (due to lag), so I switched skills a few hours before test ended.
Last new thing I did before shut down was to quickly complete a quest. It showed up at end of test party for me, and it was harvesting 7 earth or loam from digging piles, and took all of 1 minute to complete lol 2 piles in the same street in Kajuu and I was done o_o
Last 10 minutes of test I was in my house, and in group chat. Petting piggies, refilling piggy feeders, watering trees, saying goodbye to friends... and then the last minute, I went to my usual end of test position. Standing in front of my couch (in case he wants to sit down during the down time). Refilled my energy and mood to max (as I hate seeing it lower than max when I can't get in to do anything about it) and ...waited for God lol
I'm working on the "use emblems to earn higher favour points" quest, and before the party had just got to 1500. One more emblem and two more days of donation, and I'll have that quest beat!
I set up a refinery in a corner of my property. Might as well put that fuel-making skill to use, I reckon. Scooped and scooped; shovelful after shovelful of peat. Worked until I filled up all those big pillowcases slung over my shoulder. Oh my Giant it was hot. Could as well been casting bronze. Beads of sweat falling slowly rolling iridescent constellations of languid fireflies- the occasional passers-by would stop to watch I'd tip my hat.
Kindly like how Chuck Bukowski put it; yes, some lives were made to be
wasted.
'Ported on back home. I don't know from nothing. Engineers and all them gears no idea how the majick happens. I just feed the machine. Not rightly sure if I enjoy it none neither, but out the corner of my eye I see my soul's silhouette.
Spent a good part of the last hour (as those who saw my homepage "note" to the devs last night mighta gathered) going nuts searching for the new housing blocks they had snuck in so I could keep up with the travel board. Once I did that, I went home to grind spice and kill my trees as many times as I could (working on that Whack Job Extraordinaire badge, 401 chopped trees). And watching friends chat about the blue ball at the party (reallllly wanna know what that foreshadowed) and about how they kept crashing every time they tried to leave the party. Sounded like a good one but I was glad I hadn't tried to get in there this time...will catch the next one!
Such incredibly beautiful answers! I sense such great sensitivity and poetic beings here...When the game draws down I also like to have my avatar safely at home, tucked in. We all hope the wait this times is only three days. That is doable.... @Malo, "Out of the corner of my eye I see my soul's silhouette. " This gives me good bumps...Bravo !
That's funny, Ebil - I always like to have my tank and/or mood low at the end of test because I know it will get refilled at the beginning of the next one. Kind of like running down energy by fixing all my tools prior to the new day. I hate seeing everything green when the game is closed!
@Ebil: I'm the same, re: energy/mood@jasbo: but empty tanks are so.. red!@RM: How do you know you've chopped 401 trees? Personal tracking, or is it possible to pull that info out through the API?
@Sheepy, oh my giant, fellow Glitch, how I wish the game had some sort of mechanism to keep track of how close you are to an achievement! (as suggested here)
With a lot of the achievements (especially the dang 2,003 egg and bean seasoning ones), I forgot to keep any kind of track and just seasoned till I thought I'd go stark raving mad. But this one I got smarter about: When I hit the 151 badge, I started keeping track by just making hash marks on a piece of paper. I have a friend who kept track by counting planks...25 per chopped tree. She'd chop and chop then gather up 5,000 planks and sell them. If after reset there isn't some sort of tracker (and maybe there won't be one; after all, that can be part of the challenge), I will have a LOT of lists running!
Hm. A lot MORE lists, I mean. I have a notebook full going now! LOL
@Sheepy, to be fair, I almost never get low in the old mood-meter. But my current tank is a deep gold and I'd be even happier if it were smokin' red...
