I was mining, and noticed that a large amount of space was going to gems, as they do not stack.
So what I propose is a Gem Bag. One that has about 6-8 slots, but only hold gems. Also, the Gems stack while in this bag, but only in this bag.
+1 to both tog and misha. I currently have about 6 generic bags and 4 bigger bags, and STILL don't have enough space for mining, so that would be very useful.
+ a million to @anilover suggestion to let us assign bags. I spend a lot of time rearranging stuff. I have assigned bags for certain items--but unless there is a slot that needs filing, new items go in random bags. Some kind of option for a drop down for types of items in a bag. ANY additional bag management tools would be very very very welcome.
Regarding the gems, I too would like to be able to pile them up. But I think that the point is to limit stockpiling. Once you get your gem trophy, best to spend the gems in shrines, give them away to others, auction them. Keep the economy going and whatnot.
+1 to assigning bags. Now how to make a nice, intuitive, non-time-consuming interface for assigning bags? What if, rather than having to explicitly assign bags, similar items (e.g. gems) would follow one another, and items would also go to bags in which they'd been previously stored (e.g. if you used to have apples in your bigger blue bag, and you get an apple, it goes there first).
