I saw that people wanted a wearable halo for level 60 players, which is cool, and would look great, but I just had a frustrating experience and I can think of a more pragmatic way to do halos, maybe.
I was in a crowd of people jumping around trying to find things, and was supposed to find and follow one friend in particular. I had a terrible time finding her. I ended up quite upset because I thought she was impatient and maybe didn't understand my situation. When there are enough people moving around in a room, I just can't tell what's going on or sort out who is where. (That's one reason I don't like parties very much. I just can't see what's going on well enough when it's crowded.)
What if we could "bestow a halo" on a particular player (or even NPC type character) to make it easier for those of us with vision problems to find a particular person we're dealing with? It wouldn't necessarily be a halo everybody could see--it could be something that just shows up on our screens if we opt to use it. I could have clicked on my friend and "Halo On" would be an option on the menu along with Follow, Give Something, etc. I imagine that overusing it would cause lag, but I can't even begin to tell you how helpful it would be for me with my retina problems and thick, distorting glasses prescription.
What do you think?
Maybe being able to set halos on for deimaginators would give me a tiny chance in heck of succeeding at a smuggling quest, too!
