problem with my email?

On my home page i get a message saying that my email address is bouncing...

Your email address (my email here) is bouncing.
Please update it so we can contact you.
But my address works normally, i can send and receive emails. I prefer not to change my address, is there a way to test it again?

  • Mine does that if my mail provider goes offline for a bit, i just ignored it and then when the next quest was learned it was fine, try asking someone to friend you and if you get the emails for that it will fix it :)

  • It said that about mine too, I think something was up with Glitch's emails because my comcast account didn't go down (In fact, I have it on my phone, so if it did, I would know)

  • If we detect that notifications to your address are not reaching you (bounced by the ISP) we will put that up as a courtesy notice. The notifications might look spammy to some automated detectors and decline to pass it on, but also give us a notice that the message could not be delivered (and hence, our notice to you). Feel free to open a help case with us if it continues, and we can correspond with you directly, and clear the message if all looks ok.

  • When I first started playing Glitch I got email notices every time someone added me as a friend. Lately hotmail has been auto bouncing these messages to the Junk folder, which didn't happen before. Whenever I notice this I select them and tell hotmail they're not junk, hoping it will learn. 

    Not sure why this is happening now, but wasn't before? Maybe Glitch has changed something in the way they mail or too many other hotmail users have labeled Glitch mail junk?

  • I just got the notification again. I know my emails working because, well, I'm logged into it right now. I submitted a help case because I haven't gotten glitch emails in weeks and they aren't going into my Spam filter.

  • Lynnt, that happened to me too.  Glitch emails used to come through fine.  Now, I still receive them, but some get sent to my junk box.  *shrugs* It's a mystery
