My favorite aspect of the video had to be the elevator-style smooth jazz theme song. :P I like that the developers can poke a little fun at themselves, but I'm sure nobody minds the wait if it means a well-polished game is the result. What we have so far is supremely fun; it can only get better!
reading the techie link from the vid makes you realise how hard these chaps and chapettes are working to pump out a high quality product. i particularly like that they plan on giving all alpha testers free access all areas lifetime platinum membership of the final product.......for life....;-) worth a try!!!
aaargh - its that 'soon' word again. Its come back to haunt me!!! seriously that was a great clip, really made me laugh. Don't worry devs we behind you 100% every step of the way - we just kind of like to express our frustration a bit.... Strikes me you must have more than your share of frustrations, but what you have achieved is fantastic. No pain, no gain (allegedly). Sigh, back to playing repetitive little games with silly noises for a while...
Iycan: It's cool and everything... but *testing* an *alpha* game without computer skills... umm... :/ Oh well, the gameplay is fun and your experience is valued just as much, perhaps even more, than nerds such as myself and others here! :)
LoL Mabey she means she is good with some things but not with others :D She might be good with Computer games but absolutly crap with Hotmail and facebook and so on
Truly an awesome trailer! I love the serious movie-style voice-over and the music at the beginning.... were those glimpses of some new worlds? Hilarious, all and all, and oh-so true! The devs should be (and probably are) flattered at our impatience, however, as it shows that they have a great product on their hands! I hope it also bodes well for a bright, long, and profitable future for Glitch!
In order the backgrounds are Fireflex Lab Timewarp, Fireflex Lab, The Ilmenskie Caverns, Shimla Mirch. After the wait symbols you're in the Bureaucratic Hall, Subway Car and The Amazing Race.
Along with Palindrone, The Estei Life Catalog, shots of the Heights, Forest, and Meadows... As several screens merge, there's one in the top right corner I haven't seen yet. It has a lamp post and a stone arched bridge with a snowy winter look. It also appears center bottom for a brief bit. Anyone know what that one is?
Wow, Travinara, you sound like an expert :). I haven't seen the Fireflex stuff yet, but I only became a tester a couple weeks or so ago, so I'm sure there's still lots more for me to discover.
Nah Shepherdmoon, I just have a memory for names, places, and data. Give it a couple of tests and you'll be able to rattle it all off too : ) Don't let it intimidate you, the devs gave us a gentle world.
Wow! So looking forward to it opening shoon. Nibble and nosh supplies restocked, coffee at the ready, and fingers (incl both left thumbs) ready for action...is it time yet? =D
Trav-I ran across a stone bridge last test though not in a winter world. I can't remember the exact name of the street though. The only winter place I know of is Wintry Place, where you go to find the snow cones. Has anyone done that quest yet? I just got it before the game closed last time.
I'm hanging out in the Eastern Approach this game off go round and I have found a snow cone cart up on top of a stack. Gonna try and access it first thing when it comes on and see what's up.
I've done sno cone quest and yes, Wintry Place is right. I don't want to give away too much because some prefer to solve quests on their own, but...make sure your health is full up before you do that quest...that's my hint:)
Dont you need lots of Cash as well Rascal??? I seem to remember being able to buy sno-cones from a polar bear or I might have been smacked out of my tree on fizzy pop at the time.
Erm, yes, Bob Apple, you do need cash. Forgot to mention lol. I'm never sure how much help people want! Ex-FSers are bound to err on the side of too much help, but I notice that many hardcore Glitchers enjoy figuring things out on their own, so can be hard to know here:)
@Holly: I don't think I'm giving away anything when I offer this tip: Make sure you keep any snow cones you obtain for later if you can't get them all in one shot--if you get rid of any of them without completing the quest, you'll have to get them all over again, and that will not make you happy (it irritated me when I did that).
