Closing chat windows / Option to eliminate pop-ups / Glitch Lite?

Been having some mem issues with my computer, and Glitch has been getting laggier for me by the day (frame-rate, akshully).  A couple of ideas I had for this are:

Being able to turn off the Local chat log (which also logs ALL actions).  Being able to turn off (or purge, w/out reloading) would help since the game wouldn't be logging so dang much info for us.  Ultimately, it would be great if I could turn off action tracking in that chat, as well as tracking of who has come in to a street/where they went.  That way I could still see local chat, but without all of the mess!

Being able to turn off pop-ups would be a huge help as well.  Every action you take in Glitch provides a text pop-up, and they stack like crazy when you're performing a lot of actions.  I, for one, don't need to see the three meat I just nibbled in a graphical form by the piggy, in a pop-up in the top-left corner, and in my chat-log!

A "Lite" version of the game would be great.  I've stopped watching Netflix and/or surfing other tabs while I perform actions, since the game isn't running so hot for me atm, even when it's the only thing going!  A major suggestion I could make towards that would be a Lite version that only ran one or two background layers.  They are gorgeous, but there sure are a lot of 'em!

Not loading the clothing of players who aren't on your friend's list would also be helpful as heck (in a Lite version of the game), as well as removing a lot of the extra graphics that pop-up when performing an action (keep the action bar though, of course).

I know a lot of this would make Glitch less purdy, but it would keep some of us (with older, crappier computers) in the game and Glitch-in' with our friends!

  • Yes, this would be useful to have toggle options. I don't want to see the tree/chicken/pig pop ups, all the time. I would like to turn off all the quest dialogs if they're new and I'm seeing them in my Log. Do I need to talk to the rock if I can read the quests already?
