Glitch in Flickr

I was just on Flickr uploading some pictures for a book review I was about to post on my website (done!), when I noticed the file uploading message at Flickr:

"Milking butterflies..."

Hahaha  That's great! Wonder what else it might have said if I'd had more to upload. *snicker*

  • hahaha

I have noticed flickr  being sort of .....glitchy.   Thought it must have been my imagination.

  • of course it does amount to a subtle bit of ... free advertising?   They probably have more secondlife users than Glitch users.

Not that I would complain about it or anything.

  • Doesn't hurt that a lot of TS came from Flickr :D

  • Stoot was co-founder (or something like that, if memory serves) of Flickr.

I haven't uploaded anything to flickr directly in ages since I have my iPhoto app linked up for that purpose, I wonder what other fun little easter eggs I've missed?

  • Indeed, sexy Stooty was one of the founders of Flickr. (That's on his Wikipedia.org page)  He has nothing to do with it now, but I believe that his ex-wife still has something to do with it. (That's what I read somewhere here in the forum)

  • @Serra: AFAICT, almost all the cool people have left Flickr now that Yahoo! abandoned it.  Which is really sad, as it was so well designed and way ahead of its time in terms of social+photos, and then it stopped trying to innovate and lost to Instagram and Facebook and others.

Stoot's ex, Caterina Fake, was one of the people who left Yahoo! -- she founded Hunch after that, and is now working on some sort of geo-social-something site, Pinwheel.
