I've discussed this idea with a few other players and all of them liked it so here goes. This is just the initial proposal:
A higher level of interaction, aka "mini-games," should be available when "making" things. This would also be good for Street Projects where a lot of players end up just sitting around watching completion bars fill.
The result of the player's performance in the mini-game would determine the type/amount of the reward. A good performance would yield a reward while a bad performance would yield a penalty.
The mini-games should be optional. If you just want to push a button and space out for 10 seconds that's fine. Because they are optional and hold a chance for higher returns they should cost more (1 more material for example) or have a high amount of risk for failure.
Reward/Penalty ideas:
- energy cost reduction/increase
- superior item / inferior item (ex. more or less uses possible)
- bonus items (ex. should only make 5 but you get 6)
- rare/random drops (ex. music blocks, a trip to hell, etc)
Anyhow this is just something I've been considering I look forward to hearing what the community thinks of this idea.
