How can one Musicblock be so elusive?

For a good, oh I dunno, 8 or 9 months, the 1 musicblock I need, to get all the music trophy's, has eluded me.
I speak of Musicblock BB-5.

I have had every other one, many, many times over. Before musicblocks stacked, and during the chicken squeezing rampage I went on last Easter, I had the floor of my house littered with a multitude of musicblocks, plucked from the feathers of chickens (and from the shells of the Egg Plants).
But in all those numbers, I still never came across a BB-5.

I know I could buy one from auction, but at this point that seems like a defeatist route to travel.

I know there isn't an answer for me out there, and really I don't have a legitimate question... It just kind of tweaks my brain that the Glitch Gods won't see fit to let me find this one, silly, elusive musicblock, whose sweet song, I have yet to hear.

  • Do you scrape a lot of barnacles? There are some uncommon activities that award BB-5 more frequently.

  • Truth be told, I have not scraped many barnacles.
A few for sure, but not many.

I shall, from now on, be a bit more scrapey!

  • It is pretty hard to find - it's the one that took me by far the longest to get too. You'll get there in the end though - I've got about four now.

Jellisacs. I'm sure it came from jellisacs.

  • I have picked up a few BB5s recently, all I think from either barnacle scraping or harvesting jellisacs.  The block I haven't picked up in months is the DR3 for some reason.

  • try smelting 1200 metal rocks at once

  • In my experience, the easiest way to get BB-5s (I have 19) is to tend tree patches.

  • Ah yes tending tree patches during the tree chopping badges netted a ton of BB-5's. If all these relatively uncommon actions were more common, BB-5's would probably be common too.

The DR-3 was my second-hardest to get. Herb gardens, I think.

  • There is a route just for tending tree patches that I did to get my last tending badge. I can just remember that Rnixon the Crook is on it (thanks btw if you're reading this).

  • It took me forever to get BB-5. Now I've gotten tons, but I think it must be the jellisac scooping I've been doing for fuel cells lately. Or the peat boggery. Or something.. In the past I didn't do a lot of that stuff.

  • Misers.

I just left the cube with Sporks' butler.

Now, I really wish I had a GNG block... ;)

  • Further confirming others' experiences, I've gotten 2 or 3 BB-5s over the past month or so from scooping Jellisacs....Get thee to Fjarke!

  • I try to carry a steady stock of all MBs in my tower, fourth floor.

  • Its funny, most of the elusive blocks everyone have mentioned are the ones i have in multitudes.  To be fair though, i have scooped an inordinate amount of jellisacs, peat bogs, barnacles and herb gardens.

The three that have been most elusive for me are DG-1, BB-2, and XS-4.  Anyone know what actions give you those?

  • 2nd Floor = Mystbecky's Music Shop.  Come on over.  I try to keep a full stock as well.   Hopefully we can have musical instruments one day 'soon'

  • Well big thanks to both Ayzad & Botia for the awesome gift of BB-5!

Now my set is complete... I'm still determined to find it on my own. I've scraped and scooped a bit, but nothing yet... However, I'm not exactly a professional scooper, so I might need more practice massaging the hidden wonders from Jellisac.

  • Try eating some rubeweed before you go scooping.

  • The BB5 is most likely gotten from 3 or 4 uncommon actions... these be, patch tending, smelting metal, and from what I've heard, barnacle scraping and jellisiac scooping too. And try using rubeweed too... like Botia said.
