Overwhelming Warning Notification!

All I'm saying is that I chat too much or work on a project too much and never notice when I'm about to be overwhelmed... can we make something a little more visual on the screen... like a throbbing exclamation point? or make my screen start flashing like crazy?!

  • Huh? Also, "throbbing exclamation point" is extremely phallic to me (which is a good thing, lmao).

  • I wish one's avatar could stumble and fall flat on his/her face when approaching that point..it would be a funny indicator.

  • OHHHH I understand, lmao. By overwhelmed you mean going to run out of energy? Lmao, that may be helpful. But... I don't know. They already have the little grey window up in the left-hand corner that tells you you're running out of energy, not to mention the actual gauge itself. I understand these aren't the most visible but, at the same time... I don't know. Lol. I suppose it would be nice but it would also make me feel lazsy, or like I'm having my hand held...

  • no, not running out of energy..approaching your time limit in Baqala/Choru, etc...when you get booted out and are "overwhelmed by nostalgia"

  • I never see those little windows, can't read them anyway and i always forget about the Chat windows unless I am chatting (splank me but it's true).  After months of play, I have finally learned to look at my gauges occasionally.  Maybe our Glitches could turn Red as though they are having sunstroke?

  • There should be some kind of drink or herb that can buffed or relaxed the glitches from those ancestry nostalgia

  • How about a *snicker* "thlopping" exclamation point? (Sorry but that has made me laugh for three straight days, thank you, striatic!)

  • ~~~ Baaloolooloolooloo ~~~ baaloolooloolooloo ~~~
    (emdot, great skit!!)

If you are very close to running out of energy, you cant jump anymore and walk like an old lady.  I think its fun when I reach that point.

  • Dr007.........Glitch is not a nanny state.
it is time you take personal responsibility and mind your gauges.  Just a glance to the side in a tidy whitey box will tell you  to mind your p's and q's. I realize it is easy to ask for a quick fix... However, your Glitcherino will not develop character if life is made too easy for him.`

  • Edward... recently? There seem to be quite a few double entendres thrown hither and thither.

"Glitch is not a nanny state." Bwah ha ha. I want that on a fantasy t-shirt.

  • Um. It's a game. Games have stuff like this. Alllllll kinds of varying stuff. Glitch has warnings of stuff. Nothing wrong with wanting it to be larger or crazier. Glitchier:) Woot! Thlop!

  • Fokian, please, no thlopping in the hospital!  You might scare the nurses.

There isn't much you can do when you're overwhelmed by nostalgia, other than leave the area, so I don't think it's too important to see more notification of it.  It would be terrific to extend your time there with some sort of potion, though.

  • +1 glum for the potion idea.. but i'm thinking that's why ts already put all those extra seconds (and if we're lucky.. minutes) as rewards.  maybe the devs think that's already taken care of?  not that i'm averse to a blinding blinky something.. just don't think it would help for me.

  • I think the guy in the bed next to mine is more likely to scaring the nurses that way. Can you guess where his rather painful problem lies? ;)

  • @Fokian Fool...he has erectile disfunction?
Posted 17 months ago by napabeth Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Urinary tract problems with clotting in an uncomfortable area. Side effect of bad radiation therapy for his prostrate. Need I spell this out more? He and I both have had the agony of passing a kidney stone. The closest an man gets to the pain of child birth. He says his experience hurt even worse than that. Oooooooowwwwww!!!!

  • Ok. So I let the conversation flow for a bit before chiming back in... It was regarding the time limits incurred in some areas of the game, not losing energy. Napabeth, I did make the post in haste/frustration after finding myself having to wait half an hour to go back, knowing I'd miss the end of a project/new world opening. I'll grant you that I should monitor it and that I am also guilty of posting ideas with a bit of humor, wit, and irreverence. The point is that it could be a bit more informative and noticeable. I don't think that's going overboard. I would parallel it to when you are about to croak and your health meter changes color and you get a message indicating you're about to die if you don't eat something.

  • I knew what you were talking about Dr007 :) I've been there on street projects. Just could not let that opening go.
