You can choose to unlearn skills you don't use in order to speed up learning of those you have to still learn.
Each skill adds 5% learning time, compounded, to the base learning time. I had learnt all the skills which meant when the new skills are released I had a learning penalty of over 600%. I unlearnt some skills I don't enjoy (fox brushing for instance, ground away at the badges and never again) and now have a learning penalty of just 354%. That's'a big improvement and I have only lost skills I have no intention of using again
But if that doesn't worry you just keep learning until you have them all
This is actually a good mechanic to increase skills usability and game longevity, or else it would be too easy to just learn them all. It wouldn't take more than a week or so.
or, buy Brain Capacity upgrade cards. You have... one.
My learning looks like
Brain Capacity:
101/60 Skills
639% time penalty
Brain Capacity + Donating + Not really caring if you learn at the speed of light + potentially unlearning the easy/fast skills.. = not -_- <--- that face
It is not my fault you can't get jokes. Do you know at least what "ba dum tss" means?
Thanks for making mods noticing my joke, I'm pretty sure they'll laugh!
Well adding that noise or things like "just kidding" or "no offense" to a rudeness doesn't make it less rude! If you would at least had said something constructive AND that "joke" but nope
Buy brain capacity cards, unlearn the little ones - you can still tune bubbles without "knowing" bubble tuning, it'll just fail occasionally. I unlearned everything that takes under an hour to learn, I'll relearn those later. I'm also only at 54 brain cap, but I'm working on getting those last six. Mining 4 just took me 3 weeks to learn (well, that's what it SAID, I donated and spent favor like crazy and I think it took a little under two weeks.)
@Aliera Hrm donating is a way I haven't played in ages and got totally out of the loop and wanted to learn metal working now ...dead X_X lol
@Wellincolin Hrm haven't notice that that one comment was by you too...not helpful at all but well...and next time you should think about the fact that this is TEXT no one hears your voice or sees your face! And I don't even KNOW you so such "jokes" are just rude to a stranger!
It's just that I expect people not to take things too seriously on the internet, as they shouldn't (and they usually don't, you really overreacted).
It won't change my way but I apologize. I made a joke with the wrong person, that's all.
And if you take it from me, don't take things too seriously. Not even in real life. :3
Keep in mind that learning a skill that takes 10 minutes at a 600% penalty is better than learning a skill that takes five days at a 600% time penalty.
So it's in your best interest to buy brain caps, and unlearn the little ones.
As frustrating as waiting for new skills can be, I have always figured that this is a game, so I have all the time I'll ever need. I have learned unlearning, just in case, but I've never actually used it. But I think that's the only skill I have that I don't use. And there are less than a handful of skills that I haven't learned yet. I really like having the ability to do any activity that exists in the game.
Early on, I planned my learning times around when I would be in the game. I would learn several skills with short times while playing, so I could start doing new things and working on quests right away. When I would be away from the computer for a several hours, I would start learning one of the skills that would take a long time that was on a path that I was most interested in improving quickly.
Ok, on top of the heavy penalties, once you have learned everything. Having a bunch of spare emblems will be spent quickly cutting the time penalty, on any new skills then donating and spending the donation on learning speed.
On top of that is yellow crumb flower and essence. Then one of the drinks, I think it's pungent sunrise also gives a learning buff.
Right now it looks like for evaaaaar, but really right now I'd love to have something new to learn and maybe get another quest with it. I'm holding back learning nuggery cos I don't need it and I want to see what comes next.
The more emblems I earn and sell on, now I have 2 sets of icons, I'll have more space in the donation tank to cut off my learning times in future.
Why NOT unlearn stuff? Many high level players never eat, or only eat items they've purchased, and are sick to death of hoeing and watering. Unlearn the croppery! Unlearn the cooking! Aren't you tired of logging in every day just to feed a bunch of maniacal pigs? Sell that stuff, let the pigs starve and unlearn all your AK skills! Or perhaps the reverse. "Wanting to know everything" is not something the game is going to let you do easily, as evidenced by the mechanics that are a part of it and that you are linking to. You are pissed at the game not letting you do whatever you want. That's not how games work. They challenge you to work within limits and accomplish difficult goals.
