Can you rearrange your home street?

I've been looking for information on this and can't seem to find anything (I'm afraid I'm a terrible newbie. I only started playing yesterday afternoon!)

Is there a way to change where you've placed your house and your garden plots after you've put them there? Or is it 'once there, there forever'? =<

  • You can move a plot, any resource actually, with the Nudgery skill.

Also all resources have a lifespan, so they will need Restoring or Removing at some point. Restoring uses materials and work units of tool, Removing frees up the space for something else. The something else will cost iMG

    But the house is immovable

  • You can even nudge your tower to a different place.  But the house and the signpost can't be moved.

  • Ah! Thank you very much! I was hoping I could move my plots at least, since I mis-clicked and put one in a terrible place. It left no room for a second one on either side. =< Time to chase the Nudgery skill! Thanks again!

  • You've got a few options Carrie. The most obvious being to learn the skill of Nudgery which allows you to move/shift things placed in your front and backyard (except your house of course).

If you want to get rid of a tree or plot or something entirely to place something else in that same location you can either wear it down gradually via natural depletion or get some Wine of the Dead and pour it on the item to get rid of it straight away.

To get some Wine of the Dead you might have to pay a visit to a sort of grim reaper by dying and keeping going to the right until you reach the bar at the bottom;) If you get stuck with this IM me or ask on global.

  • We have been told that "someday" we'll be able to move house and signpost too. Holding breath on that one may lead to anoxia and horizontality.

  • the best i ever got from nudgery was pushing a few trees around . maybe i m not doing something right. hmmm, maybe i ll try giving it another go, it was fairly disappointing when i did it before.

  • Thanks for asking this, I was wondering the same thing. On this topic, even though I use expand, my home street doesn't look any bigger. How much does the street expand each time?

  • In the expand menu, there should be a preview image of the portion of street you'll be getting after the expansion. It's not a very noticeable amount, but after many expansions you can see a substantial difference.

  • When you are using nudgery you also have to remember you need the right amount of space for whatever item you are moving at it's new location.  You can't move a ----- tree into a ---space it has to be -----of empty space for it to fit, this applies to all of the items.

  • To bad there's not a "Stack Exchange" type of system here, where people who ask questions can pick the "Best Answer" and everyone else can vote up responses so in the future we can just link to this thread if it's asked again, or better yet when posting a question, TS does a search on possible previously asked questions.

    Ah well.
