I wanted this feat! Bad!
First I tried running all over the place trying to FIND the rare rocks to mine.
Once in a while I would have one re-spawn in front of me while I was running, nearly out of breath, from street to street.
"There's got to be a better way!" I thought.
I killed everything in my back yard and replaced it with sparkly rock.
(And one thing on my street too to plant a sparkly next to an existing one to allow for non-stop mining)
I mined for nearly 12 hours today. I barely ate so I could keep mining.
The sound of the pick striking the rock started reminding me of The Telltale Heart....
When I wasn't mining I was searching for the best deals on sparkly.
I spent over 2 million currants.
I even had help mining for a while so I could keep up with the re-spawning of the rocks.
None of this seems to matter though . We're within the final hour and half of this feat, and at the rate we're going it doesn't look like we're going to make it. I'm mentally exhausted. Mining is one of the least favorite things in the game for me. It's okay once in a while, but for hours on end...? Blech!
I have to wonder - was this feat even attainable? Rock on public streets were a rare find and usually didn't last long as a swarm of Glitchen descended upon them shortly after they appeared.
I really like the idea of this feat - but I have to wonder - are there even enough sparkly rocks on public streets to make this mathematically possible to achieve?
It was a neat idea, but I'll have to think twice about spending more than half a day on something like this again.
