Nudging is very cool but...

It seems that in order to nudge, there must be a free space in your yard to move things into. In other words, you can't just swap the positions of things. You cannot move A into B's spot and B into A's spot. You must move A into an empty space and then move B into A's old spot and them move A from the empty space into B's old spot.

At least that is the only way I have been able to get it to work.

So think twice before you fill up that last space in your yard!

  • Annie, this isn't really the same subject as the other thread. The other one is about brain capacity. This is a good tip for those of us that got the skill and are thinking about filling up our yard.

Thanks for the tip Miss Bobbit!

  • I've found nudging very useful in closing up the gaps between resources.  If you had a smaller footprint resource and put it where a larger one had been, you can open up some more space at the end of your yard by nudging things closer together.

  • For complicated reasons, there's no easy solution for this. But we are thinking about which of the hard solutions is most easy and will eventually implement one of them :)

  • will eventually implement one of them

...explosives?  you cant deny that would be lots of fun..

  • I thought "nudging" would allow us to squeeze things even closer.  For those of us that already maximized our yard space, "nudging"  is useless.

  • i vote for explosives.

i vote for explosives even if you need a new month long skill and a new permit.

  • You cannot move A into B's spot and B into A's spot.

Same problem with bags btw ;)

  • Eventually, your resources will expire and have to be renewed. You can choose not to renew a resource then you'll have and empty spot, and you can shuffle all the other resources around.

  • My suggestion is to make a nudge mode (if you have the skill) where you can move everything around even so they overlap; however, if you want them to stay, you must press a "save changes" button, which is only available if no things are overlaping. This would make it simple to reorganize your yard and even swap positions of things.

  • Maybe a "park space" on your bar for the one you take out to shuffle.

For me it was a big disappointment as i was waiting for days to swap some thing making my garden look better only to find i can not use it ...
    (no drama just pure fact)

Its even "funny" that this could be the first skill ever that gives me a reason to use "that" unlearn if this is not changed so its useful for all and new skills arrive.

Just an extra  thought but what if gardening could be planned  ,right now you have no clue if the last piece will fit .
Maybe make all spaces equal where you can plant.Given that it must be planted in that space so smaller ones could be moved a bit to left or right .
