Have stoot or other staff members hinted at all towards possible uses for Plain Crystals?
Or, any speculation?
Edit: in the future, not now.
Editedit: Uses in the future.
If you want to protect yourself against imagination inflation, deflation, auction house weakness and potential currency problems, if you want to hedge financial uncertainties, there is only one portfolio item you need - Plain Crystals. Leading glitchonomic indicators show the the timing is perfect to load up on crystals. It's a buyer's market, baby!
Stoot has said we will have additions to the skill tree in the future that will allow us to make different types of crystals for some purpose. I think it will be a big deal, so I am keeping ever single plain crystal I make, in the hopes I can turn them into something more useful/interesting later on. If not, oh well--I can sell them or use them in projects. How far in the future is this change? Absolutely no clue.
It is not a bad idea to stock up on things that don't appear to have much purpose, because the game often expands in that direction. Back some months ago a friend of mine moved to the bogs and started growing herbs because she was convinced they would be needed for potions, which there were already hints of. When potion making did come out she had stacks of them ready to go and has made a pretty currant.
