High end food that can't be auctioned.

This idea is incomplete, help me with it.  How about a particularly advanced cooking skill that allows you to make special "Restaurant Quality" food that (perversely)  CANNOT be auctioned.  This special high-end food would have to be retailed to other players.   Trading on the street might be ok, but with the right mechanics (which I will leave for others to ponder and add) "sit-down dining" might be an option.

If you don't want people to buy it just don't auction it, and if you think it shouldn't be able to be auctioned just don't buy it.

  • I can see where you're going with this. I don't really get the practicality of it though. We already have lots of player set up, ingame, non auction trading, and we even had a restaurant buffet on Sunday. If you're interested in this type of thing here are some groups you may like:

  • It would be relevant for those who like to play restaurant, because it would be (ever so) slightly less interesting for some people to just grab everything and run to the auctions.

There is a lot of glitches out the who love to be generous eg by making free restaurants in houses and unfortunately a select few are lessening their joy because they "steal" it all just to make currants in the auction house.

  • Maybe placing the only options on the item of "Eat" or "drop" would be a way.
filet mignon, roast turkey or chicken(the whole bird), kim chi, sannakji, etc

Another idea might be a buffet table that you'd have to craft to obtain.  Only the owner could place items on it and once placed they would become "eat" only not pick up.
