A Game: Ditloids - added up to #15

What is a Ditloid, you ask?  Simple. Its a puzzle where a number is given along with the first letters of some words that number relates to somehow. Some are easy, some are very, very hard.

For instance:
4 S in the Y       ---->   4 Seasons in the Year
7 D in a W        ---->   7 Days in a Week
8 P in the S S   ---->   8 Planets in the Solar System
4 H of the A       ---->   4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Get it?  Good.

I've renamed 10 butterflies and chicks (mostly butterflies) in relatively common locations with Ditloids for you to solve. Post here with the area in which you found the critter, along with the Ditloid number and puzzle and answer. If you solve it first, I'll send you a nice shiny luminous moonstone for your puzzle solving uber-prowess. :-)

Kinda like a treasure hunt with puzzly goodness. Have fun?

The puzzle are mine. YMMV. ;-)

  • Not even going to say what I thought the word "Ditloids" was when I first glanced at it.  :P

  • @Ambillina - unless I had a typo ( which is always possible!) the name should look like this example:

    Ditloid99 4 C D on a C

    I think I put 4 or 5 spaces between the Ditloid number and the number youre associating with a phrase. Can't use a dash, colon or other symbol in names unfortunately as that would have made it a bit easier to read.

    Who can solve the example above for a moonstone?!? ;-)

  • Actually 4 crocodile dinners on a cooktop was my backup answer. Sooooo close!

    That gets you 1 not-so-luminous guano, AwesomeCardinal! Would you like to come collect it or shall I leave it in Level 2 West for you?  ;-)
