Thanks to all who came to help revive the animals in Samak Shun. Apologies to global chat. I got so flustered at the sight of that bird that I posted there instead of in Rook Alerts...even though I am a member. D'oh!
As it was a Rook Roll, I think that Rook Alerts wouldn't like you to post it there. I understand that there were many more animals down than is usual for a Rook Roll, so Global was probably the right place to ask for help.
I came to help but most animals were up and about again by the time I got there.
I'm a Chief Rescuer (mod) of Rook Alerts. It's okay to post about Rook Roll revival efforts on the Rook Alerts channel, just make sure you label it clearly as a Rook Roll revival request instead of a Rook Attack.
The first time I ever saw a rook-anything, I posted it on Rook alerts and it turned out to be a rook roll (I'd never even heard of that). I got thoroughly told off by a bunch of angry senior players, and have steered clear of the group ever since. It was utterly mortifying.
@oscarette
Yes, I am afraid that seems to be the case with a lot of people. Even before I became a mod of the group several new Glitch players IMed me to help out with the situation as I was very active in the group because of the Aranna Rook Attacks.
I can only hope that the more irritable members of the group learn a bit of restraint in the future.
I think the Rook Roll is the easiest mistake to make in the game. It's such a rare event that when it happens the first time of course you think it's Rook Attack unless you have seen a real Rook Attack. You see hurt animals everywhere, rooks screeching, etc. Glad to see the Rook Attack board is calming a bit.
