Since we can't access the map in our houses...

Bees! said in one of the new housing threads that we are probably not going to have access to the world map from inside our houses. I assume he means by clicking on the map that's at the top of the game window.

But what if we could buy an Atlas! It would let you look at small version of the world map. Maybe owning an Atlas would also let you make notations on the map -- draw the hidden routes you've found, circle your favorite mining street, leave a little note about the cool hidden spot you found that one time. It would be really neat to be able to customize the big world map.

  • Dunno why they don't want any access to the map from the houses. I always found it pretty annoying having to exit the (former) house to teleport someplace. I'm afraid with the new stuff we're still gonna have to load the previous street, even if we want to go someplace else

About your Atlas ideas, maybe you'd like to meet the Glitch companion and it's travel book. You can't draw anything or teleport from your house, but you get custom notes & icons for each street and easy access for later.

But of course anything in that app is something I'd like to see natively in game indeed ;)

  • I would really like a map I could mark.  It would make planning completist routes for the areas where I've visited half the streets easier.  I really like that we now have markings on the list of streets for a location, but I have trouble visualizing the list especially when my goal isn't to hit everything or just a few streets. Plus I always forget where that really unique formation that would be just perfect for what ever goal I have in mind is located.
