To all the new players: the answer to ALL your questions!

Have you seen the Glitch Strategy Wiki? It's the player-run wiki about Glitch! Approved, but in no way related to Tiny Speck.

(spoiler alert) http://www.glitch-strategy.com/wiki/Glitch_Wiki
Introduction to the game: http://www.glitch-strategy.com/wiki/Start_Here

What to expect?
- spoilers, obviously
- hints on how to finish Quests
- info about all the Skills
- info about the different Housing-styles
- an overview about the world
- and much more!
- use the search box (top right) to find what you need

What not to expect?
- actual strategy, because everyone plays Glitch differently
- 100% accurate info, all the time. This is edited by volunteer players, we try to keep up but the game keeps changing. Consider this a disclaimer :)

So... bookmark for easy access and register to contribute!

PS: let's try to keep this on the first page

Glitch-strategy has been in the works since the days of Alpha - let's keep supporting it to keep it growing strong! Just like the Giant's imagination, it takes dedicated Glitches' love and care to grow.

  • To add a short comment:

Check out the option for the item before asking what it does. Most of it makes common sense.

For instance, I was given a "game show ticket" today. I was unsure of what to do with it or if I had to visit a specific area where the game show was taking place. I checked out what options it had and one option was to "use" it. Sure enough, a wheel pops up out of nowhere and I get to spin it for a prize.

When in doubt, check out the options for the item.

  • Would you mind adding Zog's app to the link list? It'll help people with all their "Where do I find..." questions that we get.

  • I found this wiki after two days of playing Glitch, wandering around in a stupor not knowing what the heck I was doing!  LOL
The wiki helps A LOT!  I try not to rely on it, since I believe that most of the fun in the game is discovering things on your own.  But when I get into a pickle, it's nice to know that I have the wiki to help.  I can avoid loading up the forums with endless (and probably repetitive) questions, as well...which is nice for everyone.  :-)

As a "n00b", I would recommend this wiki to all new players.

  • May I also add that you can check out the groups page and join the group FAQ. Some of us beta players put this together to help out when WE had questions. The information for the most part should still be valid. Put a question or comment in and we'll see that it gets answered or updated.

  • Can I jut throw in this link from the wiki too, it's a new player guide but it is kind of easy to miss it on the front page. I only found it because someone posted it in another thread, yes my fault for not reading properly I know but im sure im not alone in this. It was so much help for me reading this page as it gave me a rough idea what Glitch was about without too many spoilers.

  • Thanks Primevil, I added it.
Nerdcore, this post is primarily to promote the wiki, sorry. But I agree that the wiki needs some way to display all the useful scripts/tools! I will look into it :)

  • Also use the search box in the forums. Most topics have mostly been discussed and can get you on your way. I used the forum search for 2 weeks before I found the wiki. Very helpful.

  • @Braxton111, for things like that you should contact the Staff. File a bug report and they will look into it. Or post in the "Bug Forum".

  • To bump this back where it belongs I would like to suggest that, when you receive the 'Water all trees' quest, you wander around until you find a wood tree and only then begin the quest.  You don't have to start it at the point when it's originally given and beginning the quest when you find a wood tree makes it a breeze as all other trees can the be found in Groddle and Ix at your leisure.  It also comes with the satisfaction of having explored and discovered a wood tree by yourself as you wander rather than a mad panic to find one when your timer is running low...
