Leaderboards + Adblock

If you have the adblock addon on firefox and go to the leaderboards (http://beta.glitch.com/leaderboards/xp/), none of the rankings show up, leaving the middle of the screen as a blank void. If there is no way to fix this, I suggest at least having it written down somewhere on the page so that those using adblock know what the problem is.

  • It's not just ad-block; a lot of add-ons do weird things to the pages you view.  If you're having problems viewing a page, the very best troubleshooting advice is to disable your scripts and add-ons to see if the page works for you, and then add them one by one, testing to see which one is the culprit.

I run No-Script, and continually have to adjust my settings to manage web pages.  Ad-Block is another common add-on that messes up what people see on a page.  That's the whole point of it though, so it's not surprising that it blocks things.

  • Thing is, this is the only time (that I know of) that I've had adblock block anything other than an ad. I wasn't aware that it is a common occurance.

  • I run an AdBlock Plus addon and I can see the list of leaderboards (xp).

  • That's funny, the leaderboards never worked for me until I thought "Maybe it's adblock", and disabled it for this website.
