Vendors avoid them. My animals freak out if I try to set them free there. Not a single Giant shrine to be found. Perpetual dusk. And, of course, treetops where nests can be built...
PQ, if it weren't for you, I'd still be all la-la-la-laaaaaaa and not looking up as I skip through the treetops. Foolish Vo-Vo! Thank you for this timely warning. I will proceed with caution and stay tuned to Rook Alerts for emergency broadcasts.
Unless im mistaken from my Rook hunting days - anywhere without a shrine is totally safe making this the safest island in the game so far and therefore the dullest!!! ;-)
Well the only point of a rook attack to to destroy imagination by hurting animals / trees - none of those on the new island.....also, no shrines to prime and fight so even if there was an attack we couldnt do anything about it. Which kinda begs the question i suppose is that as lovely as the two new regions are...........once i've got the badge will I go back?
It is not right to say Balzare and Roobrik do not have shrines and vendors... but it is not wrong. It had them... but ... they have fallen. You might do well to follow their example...
A Small Short Tale I Just Randomly Wrote Out Of Inspiration Of This Thread
================
It is old Rook territory.
Old Rook territory.
They are starting to slowly integrate their land until Ur... without us knowing.
Long ago, Balzare and Roobrik were alive. Trees, shrines, and animals.
But, in that time, Glitches did not have Martial Imagination.
They were the first land for the Rooks to attack. They succeeded.
The Giants made a deal with the Rook. The Rook could keep the land if Glitches were not harmed. The Giants created a veil between the islands of Balzare and Roobrik, and hid away the Isle of Perpetual
Twilight from the eyes of any brave, yet vulnerable Glitch.
They agreed. The pact was sealed, the deal was done.
All shrines in that land were desecrated, and eventually removed by the minions of the Rook. They hollowed out the trees, and time was no more. No life was known, and the land itself was corrupted. Now it is forever Dawn and Dusk, Dusk and Dawn, the small opening between Light and Darkness, the small slit between Night and Day.
It is where the Rook lives, and we shall only hope the Isle does not grow in size.
But, as you can imagine, the Rook was not satisfied with such land. Victory was boring; there was nothing much to do. Slowly, the blood of the many black crows boiled, the rage grew, and they attacked. With vengeance in their heart.
They attacked many other streets of Ur, starting with Marypole Mount.
By this time, Glitchen were much more civilized. They had subways, they could teleport, and they even had electric sockets (even if they didn't have any power plugs). They developed Martial Imagination, and managed to throw back the Rooks at any place they were brave (or foolish) enough to attack. They kept them back.
But not with many sacrifices. The Rook Museum was built in Jeth Tower to honor these many casualties, and to teach the new generation of what to do if the Rook ever returned.
Soon, there was word the Giants were imagining a new land: Aranna. The Rook sent envoys to attack, and to besiege. But again, they were beaten by the Protectors of Imagination, the Giants and the Glitchen.
But they do not give up. Still yet, they attack, but at every battle, they are defeated. Or as far as you know.
Have you not noticed these small streets, slowly falling off the map? Those ignored by the Rook Rangers... those whose cries of help were cut off... those who are no more.
No? You’ve never noticed? The map’s never gotten smaller, only bigger, you say?
WELL THERE YOU ARE WRONG
For the Giants, YES THE GIANTS THEMSELVES, are in cahoots with the Rook!
They are forced to.
THEY ARE TRAITORS THEY HAVE BETRAYED US
THEY HAVE BETRAYED THE THRONE OF TS
They themselves have made us to forget those Rookfallen streets.
They have not given us hope to restore... and reimagine.
TRAITORS
But no, not every last one of them. Some still stay loyal to the throne, namely Tii, Grendaline, Zille, Pot, and Spriggan... but no, they are outnumbered.
Their words count for less, as they have less followers. They are outnumbered 6 to 5... with Lem in the very front of the ones that have fallen to Rook.
THAT LEM TRAITOR
Why else would they have built Rasana for us? If they were any smart... they would have known, it's safer to stay small. We are more susceptible when split large. No, it is just the bridge from Grumbla to the Isle...
Perhaps they know what is best for us. After all, they are the Giants, and we are just Glitchen... but, we must have hope. They have removed our streets, not giving us a chance to build it back... After all, between us, we have enough Cheese, Fertilidust, and Hoes to rebuild, no?
But no...
And now, with the aid of Lem and THOSE TRAITOR GIANTS, The Isle of Perpetual Twilight is back. Long forgotten, Rookfallen before the lands of our Ancestors became the Ancestral Lands, before our generation was born... It is back. Those telescopes in Ix? They were left by the Rook, and the corrupted giants.
As you can see Uralia and Ix from the Isle, you can see Balzare from Ix... The foolish Glitchen explorers have refound Rookland. Perhaps it is a chance for us to conquer it back... or it is a chance for the Rook to conquer us.
Will we fall to the spirits of Rook? For now, the land we tread is relatively safe... But you never know. Have you seen those tripwires? How creaky the wooden bridges are? Have you not seen how they could fall... and thousands of Glitchen with them... with just one... bite of a raven’s beak?
Have you seen how the hollowed trees could be filled in with nothing so very quickly? How fast we could be deimagined... to be nothing but a whisper on the wind, a ghost... to be unseen?
Tread carefully as the forests of Balzare are full of lurking creatures. They wait for you... for the time. Do not fall to the false beauty of Roobrik.
Is it their plan? The Giant's plan, to trick the Rook? Let us find the Isle under the ruse of letting the Rook reign... but perhaps, they hope for us to reclaim the land that was once our foremothers'? Let us hope it is that.
♦♦♦
There is poison in the air... the Rooks have a chance, and the point is now. Perhaps this story is but a hoax. It is your choice to trust... or to belittle... After all, the ideas of the Giants, the GIANTS themselves falling to the Rook? Preposterous! That’s what I would think... but there are some that still remember... why have we been reset so? For our memories to fall... But there are some that still remember...
If you disregard this warning, that’s fine...
Just remember... the Rooks are out there. They have not always been defeated, and perhaps that time shall come again. But for now... The Isle of Perpetual Twilight, the Dusk of Balzare and the Dawn of Roobrik.... it is forever Dawn and Dusk, Dusk and Dawn, the small opening between Light and Darkness, the small slit between Night and Day.
They will twist and turn... they will float forever and forever. Until the land is once again pure... the Rook lives.
I also thought of the "Rook territory" thing when I saw it, but I also thought of them being a mirror of each other.
If you see them in the map, they are half "white" and half "black", forming some sort of "yin & yang". Also, the contour of the map inside them is mirrored, even if the streets themselves aren't. Also, one is sunrise, and the other is an afternoon (at least what it looks to me)
So, what I think this could mean: maybe one island will mirror what happens in the other one, somehow. Maybe we will be able to, for example, leave a meal and in the other island somewhere a drink will pop up, or something like that.
