The (1) behind animal names

Does it serve a purpose? It might make more sense if it counted the number of critters named something, and would even be helpful if it counted the default names, or cool if it counted the number of that particular type of critter you've created... but it doesn't seem to actually do anything or represent anything. If it's just visual clutter, can we get rid of it?

  • If the (1) helped to differentiate between the different 'Frank's on a street, it would be quite helpful. It doesn't seem to do that though :\

  • Wait.. was there a reason so many butterflies were/are named Frank? I've somehow never thought to question that..

  • Oh, I believe you. I just never saw it... or maybe I just didn't notice? =)
I'll be sure to look whenever I get a chance to play again.

  • I always assumed that someone had gone around naming all the butterflies "FRANK" to raise substance abuse awareness.

  • Zany it is when you use enter to interact with a pig or such (if that wasn't made apparent). Good catch Travinara I don't see the purpose in it's current use either.
