Use Loam to Rejuvenate Plots

The lumps of loam item do not seem to have much use yet.  One useful thing it could do is help with he crop and herb plots.

For example, after 13 plantings, the soil of could wear out and need loam to start being productive again.

  • Interesting idea! I like how this would make different parts of the game a little more interconnected.

  • I've thought of that before since I don't really have a use for loam, except it was with tree patches instead of plots. But I agree with Millie about the whole interconnection thing, and it'd be a good use for those of us who aren't that into street projects.

  • Somehow, I don't think blockmakers are going to be happy that the loam is being used up... ;)

  • I think this is a neat idea. =)  Now, what could we do with lumps of "erf and stuff"?

  • Well, to make the block makers happy, a Grade AAA Earth Block could be much more effective in the garden than a simple lump of loam.

Though naturally, that implies one should likewise be able to make blocks out of guano too.  I guess that would be a Stack of Steaming Fertilizer.

  • I dont see why it should bother blockmakers per se; whatever loam may cost just get passed on to the consumer anyway. It might slow down street projects slightly, which is probably great, but the real cost of blockmaking is how. Goddamn. Slow. The blockmaker is. The real flaw in this otherwise cool idea is that this would further elevate the cost of gardening, and i really cant see the advantage to that. maybe once the produce vendors are all shot...
