As discussed in global chat today, we need to have a skill of curing or aging meat. That way we can get things like salami, jerky, or bacon. And maybe ham (although I think that should be what we get from pigs, I like the idea that it's generic meat so it gets used for multiple recipes)
It could be an addition to a cooking skill, or an adjunct skill on its own, but a necessary one in order to increase recipes (like bacon and eggs, or pasta carbonara, or salami sammies....)
