Animal death

This thread got me to thinking... Piggies leave a pile of meat when they die, why not butterflies and chickens too? Not a pile of meat, but a pile of milk and a pile of grain or something else entirely.

Amendment to suggestion

I suggest that all animals leave behind something when they die with the possibility of leaving behind an egg of the appropriate kind.

Pigs = Meat + possibility of Piggy Egg
Butterfly = Milk + possibility of Butterfly Egg
Chicken = Grain + possibility of Chicken Egg

  • IIRC, butterflies leave milk, plus a chance of leaving some eggs. I think it's random though; never encountered it myself but others have.

  • Somewhere, I've read that chicken disappear in a puff of smoke after you use them to incubate eggs a certain number of times.

  • I wish the current possibility of butterfly eggs was more consistent. I hear people talking about getting a pile of 10 butterfly eggs when some of their butterflies die off, while i've had 10 of my 13 (and possibly the last few as well, I won't be able to get in game until after work) die in the past day or two and I've gotten NO eggs and very little milk. (I have all the AK/Herdkeeping skills and was only getting 2 milk per dead butterfly. It costs a lot more than that to replace the butterfly.)
