New release of glinvite.com brings many new features

Hello everyone,

I've just pushed a new release of glinvite which introduces many new features to help you in your party or event planning needs:

Private Events
Mark an event as private and it will not show up on any public areas of glinvite. Pass the link/address to your event out to your friends/minions so they can event to their attending events list.

Daily Agendas
You can configure glinvite to automatically remind you each day of the events you're planning on attending. If you aren't attending anything on a particular day, glinvite won't send you anything.

Short Links
All new events automatically generate a short link from bit.ly making it easier to share the event link on Twitter, the Glitch forum, or elsewhere. Each short link even has a handy button next to it to easily copy the link to your computer's clipboard for pasting.

Lots of Design Changes
Many little tweaks here and there to make glinvite look a little easier on the eye.

Enjoy and let me know if you run into any issues!

  • This is a great idea - I wish I'd thought of it first :-) Really nicely done too.

I'm definitely going to have to organise an event soon, just so I can post something to it...

  • Thanks dopiaza. :) After browsing the Glitch forums and seeing so many people trying to plan events with people in other time zones, I thought something like glinvite would really help.

  • Bump...

Many people seem to be planning events for the holidays - both the ones for the giants and out here in real life.
It would be great if more events were posted to glinvite so we can all keep track of them!
