  • They have something going on with that now to fix it. Animals have a life span now and the problem will eventually take care of itself.

  • Good!

Not that I am for dead chickens, just their sheer numbers threatened a chicken insurrection.

  • Agreed, and farming them is quite tedious. 5 squeezes each?!

  • So, wait.

In the buildings and apartments where no chickens means never ever being able to have animals, if nobody owns a place, or somebody is away too long, they lose herdkeeping abilities in that home forever?

Or a street that becomes neglected, that street can lose every chicken and from there never hat another egg again?

  • That's really only if there's a henpocalypse where every chicken falls down dead at the same instant including the chicks people own or are auctioning. Just incase, maybe we should wear tin hats like the bubble trees do.

  • So you can still place chicks?  Ah, good, then I misunderstood the growth cycle involved, thought there had to be a chicken to hatch an egg.

  • Chicks are hatched chickens and they're in game too. Plus, you can hatch a chick from any wild chicken if you have the skill.  Don't worry! The chickens will be okay :)

  • ICountFrom0 you can have a chicken in another street hatch the egg and then carry the baby chick to whatever home or street you want.

  • ICount: I am not positive, but I think they only die after a certain amount of interaction.  So the ones that have been left alone for too long don't die?  Again, not positive, that's just how I thought it worked

  • "Butterflies and Chickens Lifespans:
The world can get overpopulated fast with butterflies and chickens hanging around and cluttering up streets. But, the Giants now grant them some sweet relief: once a chicken or butterfly has fulfilled its Glitchy destiny by providing sustenance and wisdom to enough players, it will ascend to a Higher Plane of Being. Salute these noble creatures, for they gave themselves for us to play!"

Kevbob wrote that about chickens and butterflies in one of the test notes, hope it helps

  • I know they said it would do that Laurali...but I'm wondering about it...I've been to some places lately that are overrun with chickens and butterflies...maybe no one is squeezing/milking them, so they are living even though the areas are overpopulated...but seems to me the piggies get the raw end of the deal when it comes to ease of death in this game.
