Wannabe Whack Job

A couple of the achievements I am yet to achieve are the higher quantity clearing of dead trees. I used to think that poisoning, clearing, and then replanting all the trees on my home street was the way to accomplish this in a manageable time frame. Now that I have to restore each patch when its tree dies, I'm not so into that idea.
Then I thought that I could get on a No-No Rush and poison a bunch of trees. (And I do fully intend to replant in kind, so don't condemn me.) But three trees puts me into serious guilt.
I suppose I COULD just poison 'em a couple at a time and spend the next 6 months inching my way to those lofty numbers, but with my short attention span, I'd probably wind up mixing Flaming Humbadas and never get it done. Then I thought of the vast collective wisdom of my fellow travelers.
Is there an efficient way to kill off a bunch of trees or should I simply plod?

  • IIRC, after planted on a private street, a tree has a lifetime %. As long as you poison and clear it before it gets to 0%, you don't have to restore it. It will return as a patch. Once it gets to 0%, you have to restore it (assuming it dies or is poisoned, else it will last as long as the tree does).

Hope that makes sense. That's how I remember it working as of a few weeks ago.
