Chunks of Rocks or Plain Metal Ingots?

Right. Just wanted to ask this.

I asked around about earning Currants in game before. Some people suggested mining rocks and selling them to street vendors (since they buy it for more than in auctions) and some suggested getting Metal, smelting them and selling them in auction (since auctioneers but it for more than street vendors).

However now I'm confused on which would be more efficient in earning me currants.

Particularly since the number of metal ingots you get is pretty low compared to how much metal I mine.

So which do you think I should do more to get Currants? Mining and selling sparkly/dullite/etc. rocks or selling metal ingots?

  • I can't tell  you which is more efficient, but I can tell you that 5 metal chunks equals 1 metal ingot, and that a metal ingot's Information Price is 30c, and that it costs 5 energy to make one ingot.

  • Well metal ingots sell at street vendors for 21c.

  • Mining 3 gets anywhere from 4 to 8 sparklies (24~48 currents) per mining and takes 8 energy. There are chances to get one of the 5 jewels that sells anywhere from 280 to 1600 a piece.

  • If you think about how much energy you're expending, that's your basic "cost" of doing business in Glitch.  You can't make any more money when you've run out of energy.  So, you have to consider efficiency when trying to determine where you can make money.

If you consider the process it takes to make 1 metal ingot, you're Mining at least once (for 5 metal chunks) and then smelting once.  At Mining 3, this will cost you 9 energy, and will net you 21c from a vendor.

Compared to mining sparkle, if you compare an equal amount of ore (5 chunks), you'll spend 8 energy, and you can sell the ore for 30c.
