Journaling Your Glitch

With all the wonderful spreadsheet, maps and API's being shared I was wondering how many of you journal your Glitch adventures. And if you do, what are the kinds of things you keep track of? Do you think you would make use of an in-game journal or do you like a hand written notebook. While searching out what had already been talked about I came across this wonderful Idea Forum post  with a very fleshed out idea that includes journal making. If we had a journaling feature in the game, what features would you like to see?

  • I don't but I have been thinking of doing a narrative journal after the reset.

  • I'd love a journal IG. Maybe with a cookbook section with all the recipes you know with a spot to put in some personal notes about them. And the ability to access it from the main site, not just when you're in the world.

  • +1 to making an in-game journal that is accessible from the website. I love how I can hop on to the site from any computer, anywhere and set new skills, etc.

  • This makes me think of my LiveJournal days... someone should claim glitchjournal.com ;)

  • Oh the LiveJournal memories.. XD I would love something like that for Glitch. I often don't get a lot of use out of journals on various websites (Gaia Online, for instance) but I think if Glitch journals were fairly interactive among friends, a la LiveJournal, that this would be a very welcome addition to the experience. :3

  • Xanga!!

Seriously, though, Glitch has the potential for a great "meta" community. My other game of choice is The Lord of the Rings Online and it has an incredible community out of game with many blogs and podcasts (to which I contribute). It's because the setting has grabbed so many people that they love the world itself, and who doesn't love Middle-earth (don't answer that)? So the game takes a second seat to the world.

I see the same thing happening in Glitch and look forward to the many blogs to come! I'm hoping to get in on the ground level with a podcast but that remains a shadow of an idea at this point.

  • I would love to have a glitch calendar that showed me the day I was born (joined) and the days when I accomplished things (badges and quests and first-visited streets).

On a related note, I'd also love to have a list of everything I've sold at auction and for what price.
