30k And 50k Houses

I worked and saved for awhile to buy a 30k house. And then was very disappointed when arriving to view the house that they are very hazy.... not a bright clear house like most areas. Are there any 30k or 50k houses in a area that are not riddled with the haze that makes it look like you bought a expensive smog covered house?

  • The only non-hazy areas I know are the Groddles and Besara, neither of which has the expensive houses.

Groddle Meadow cottages (always sold out) are so appealing and imaginative and varied!  How about offering a couple of those cottage styles with the great big garden and pig pen outside? I think they would prove very popular.

  • I wish there were 30k or 50k houses in the swamp style.  I love my little mossy underground grotto!

  • Not me.  Prefer the muted white of salatu.  Groddle Meadow was like living in a cartoon.

  • Before the reset, my first home was a cave in (I think) Bortola. I couldn't stand it, so I moved to the Meadows. I vowed to stick there after the reset, but then I surprised myself by buying a swamp home. They have a certain charm. Then I decided that I needed a bigger place, so I settled in a 30k Alokol (okay, I can't spell any damn place in this game) house. Since I was getting bored, I upgraded to a 50k house in the Grasslands up north.

I didn't know how I'd like all that orangeish landscape, but you know something? It's the most relaxing out of all of them. I like to pretend that I'm on some kind of safari. Elephants and giraffes and -- dare I say it! -- HYENAS (!!!!!!) could come knocking on my door at any second! That's so exciting. It's like a constant adventure!

So, OP, the point of this rambling story is that you never know how much you'll like a place until you actually get settled in.

  • Maybe the haze will clear up when the outer areas become more developed.  The world will expand and grow, the Rook will be pushed further back, and new areas to be hazy will become imagined.  I like to think that as Ur develops the hazy areas will brighten up over time.
