The CONSTANT repairing of a grinder has driven me insane. Please, please , please........you gave us a fancy pick, can you please give us a fancy grinder?!
+1 million
It needs more units also. I have two of them but the 2nd one is useless because it won't switch to it automatically when 1st one dies (reported as bug but not sure they thought it was).
It's better than it used to be, but I still need to only grind 30 barnacles (say) at a time if I have many more than that. It's annoying when you need to get through 200.
Maybe this would take the form of a new household appliance instead. For the person who doesn't just want to grind a few items the old-fashioned way ... the Grind-o-matic! :P
Power it with a fuel cell, pop in your stuff, and let 'er rip.
what if crafted tools had double usage? Or that fancy could be something you do too a tool with high level tinkering? Takes fancy pick out of the store, and makes you make your own pick with fancyfication.
BTW, if you repair your grinder to 100% then click on it and choose grind, I think you can grind an unlimited amount (e.g. you could do 1,000 rock in one go). And if you drink a Flaming Humbaba, all that grinding is free (even though the buff wears off while you're still grinding).
I carry around so much crap as it is, can't the spice grinder and rock/barnacle grinder be combined. I'd pay double the price if it wouldn't break after only grinding 300 items and used a lot less energy. One hummer per 300 grinds and energy loss makes grinding a very expensive endeavor and time consumer.
Great idea guys.
We were wondering if it would be possible to be able to choose how much you want to grind (or smelt, etc) instead of the options of 10, 20, 30, or all, which in some cases could be a lot (1642 for ex.). Sometimes you just want to grind 250 or 300 but you don't want to do it in increments of 20 or 30, and you know you won't have enough energy to grind everything all at once. Perhaps the larger/fancy grinder idea would eliminate this and allow us to plug in the amount ourselves?
Perhaps these fancy tools could be crafted from the Molybdenum/Copper/Tin using tinkering or engineering? Would give a nice little bonus to a skill that is need of some awesomeness.
+1 for Lurell's post
Would love to input my own amounts and not just for grinding or smelting but for everything in the game where you have a number option.
When i've seen this mentioned most people have suggested a tool that allows us to do this but you don't use tools to eat or shuck seeds so my idea was that we had to learn a skill to allow us to do this. Maybe it could tie in with the better learning skills, an offshoot called maths or something like that.
EDIT: I somehow managed to create Lurell's name as a link so had to fix that.
