Piety

So...  I've got Piety, when I can charge the shrines for the destruction of bad glitchy folk?  When I try at the moment it just says:

"You can prime a shrine only in the presence of enemies of imagination"

Any ideas?

Thanks

  • There needs to be a Rook attack in progress.  They're rare but you won't miss it when it happens.

  • Bah is this true?  No setting up shrines at random to punish the naughty ones? :(

  • nope. "your enemies" in the case of the skill info refers only to the rook, sadly.

  • what is a rook?

  • Rook is another name for Crows. There are random Rook Attacks usually in the outlands (Aranna). Join the group Rook Alerts, then open the chat for that group when you play, and we'll alert you if anyone spots a rook attack.
Some attacks can also be triggered by the 12 sided die sold by the Toy Vendors. I have not seen one of these attacks, and do not know if they differ from a random one

  • ke$ha,

After you play and explore long enough, you well get a quest to visit the Rook Museum, where you will find out all about rooks and Ur.

  • The rook attacks that are rolled from the 12 sided die are not full attacks. They tend to just send all the trees/animals into a daze. Often when you roll Rook nothing happens at all (besides -50 mood penalty for the roller).

Which is disappointing as I just want to try out Martial Imagination already!!

  • only slightly related, but, 'Rooks'?

I thought 'the Rook' was (theoretically) supposed to be a collective term.  like 'humanity.'  or 'the Sith'.  From common usage, though, I'm guessing that's not going to fly...;)

  • @Lara..lol..it is a collective term for "them"...The Rook, although It appears as a big, black Crow...is actually the embodiment of fear and dark evil..The Rook wants to destroy the 11 Giants and all imagination in Ur..,(that includes all us Glitchizens..ouch) and so many of us have learned the Martial Imagination skill to turn our Focusing Orb into a stun ray to stun The Rook, and this needs other Glitchens to add their energy to the Orb to stun The Rook...then one with Piety 1 primes the Shrine at the Battle site...we all donate whatever we can very fast..all donations turn into more energy that then blasts The Rook out of commission for awhile..then we rescue and revive all the rooked victims so they do not die from being rooked...whew...lol...

  • @SavannaBlueRose What a nice explanation! I've been looking for what Martial Imagination and Piety skills were meant for.

    Thank you.
