Too bad they didn't take this into account and plan a long test for this weekend...would have had a lot more players to really test the system with two national holidays. Oh well.
Hopefully they realize in the future that they'll need at add workers for long weekends with the influx of players/issues, and not take off the standard holidays like other professions. Here's hoping they build their schedule to provide their employees at TS time off/holidays in the middle of the week when there are less players and beef things up on weekends. I've seen MMOs that thought they could keep to a 'normal' work week schedule, and the players have suffered for it - especially on weekends when players can't get a hold of the customer service, or moderators, etc to report issues to the devs. Seems the servers will always start acting up on Friday nights, and the influx of players on weekends creates more clashes between players.
Well, yes - the point is that there's no test *because* it's a long weekend! The devs need the break, eh? Don't begrudge, feel priviliged to have beta access.
When Glitch is up and running *and paid for by customer spending* then there has to be live support. But we're in *pre-release* and only get a play at the requirements of development.
I hope everyone's paying their way as beta testers by logging bugs.
