A Table of the New Upgrade Cards (Incomplete)

Link.

I didn't include the Alchemic, Animal, Cooking, Gathering, Growing, Industrial, and Intellectual skill speed ups because they're boring.

For reference,  here is the breakdown:
I: Unspecified, it just says it improves it., 400i
II: 5%, 1250i
III: 10%, 5000i
IV: 15%, 10000i
V: 20% 20000i

Edit: Now with categories.

Corrections and additions are encouraged.

  • I've got a Brain Capacity+5 for 100,000i. Lv24. The Brain Capacity+3 for Lv24 is 30,000i.

Edit: Just got a +3 again asking for 120k instead... Maybe they're random. :(

  • Elly, did you buy the brain capacity cards? Each one you get becomes more expensive per slot, just like the Quion upgrades.

  • Nice! The Wiki sure could use a little help with the new content. (and the conversion to Imagination, but we're still working out how to change that efficiently) :)

  • I got 2 cards that I don't see in your list (tho I may have missed them)
    1 was for:
Intellectual Speed III - Speed up your Intellectual Skill learning by 10%.   -    5000i
    And the other:
Intellectual Speed IV - Speed up your Intellectual Skill learning by 15%.   -   10000i

  • I have a question. Do all cards effect last forever? For example if I got the Rube Radar card which doubles my chance of meeting him does that only last a game day or forever? If yes, what other cards aren't permanent?
Posted 7 months ago by iDylan Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Huh, so it seems at BL5 I was only compensated with the level III learning upgrades (10%). As well, my brain capacity is at 37. However, my learning timers are more or less the same pre-iMG. The maths isn't computing in my head, because BL5 reduced skill learning by 20%, and now my skill learning is only reduced by half of what it once was, yet the times are the same. Unless - the effects are cumulative i.e. 5%+10%+etc?

But all in all, it seems we can increase our brain capacity even beyond what BL5 offered, therefore it's possible to learn even faster than what was possible before?

Sorry for the winded question... this part of the conversion confuses me the most!

EDIT: Asked this plus a few other more succinct questions in the other Better Learning thread!

  • I got a card that made it so metal music plays when I use my metal machine, it cost 500i but I don't remember what it was called.
I also got a card that makes it so sometimes sloths spit snails at me when I walk by

There is also a card that makes it so you can chat during meditation without chatting distracting you.

  • I just got a brain capacity +3 for 240,000i. I'm level 38. Did NOT buy it.
Posted 7 months ago by bayBi Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Ok, I think I got all of them. I guess there is some threshold for brain capacity, energy tank, and quoin upgrades when the price will increase for more upgrades. Like if it the threshold for energy was 2000, you could buy upgrades at the same price until you hit 2000 energy?

And the gassier/paperer harvest text has been fixed, so I've added those too.

"I got a card that made it so metal music plays when I use my metal machine, it cost 500i but I don't remember what it was called." - This is Making Metal.

"I also got a card that makes it so sometimes sloths spit snails at me when I walk by." - This is Friend of Metal.

"There is also a card that makes it so you can chat during meditation without chatting distracting you." - This is Tune out the Chatter Meditation and Mantra Meditation, which prevent distraction during mediation from incoming and outgoing chat messages.

As for whether cards are permanent, or run out, probably most of them are permanent, except for Rube Radar, which I suspect is a 1 game day thing.

  • Industrial speed:  Increase your industrial skill learning by 15%  cost 10,000im
Posted 7 months ago by Mystbecky Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Perhaps add a column "reason NOT to upgrade ?" (with the question mark)

for example, all the ones that add durability to kitchen tool, if you don't have Senior Mending Manager, Kitchen Division , the upgrade will make the badge harder to earn

and you can link the Is higher energy tank linked to anything positive? thread

  • And, I found out how much imagination snapshottery costs (300i) and that I missed adding "Increase Quoin Multiplier by 10%". So that's 150/a little over 200 upgrades, not including brain capacity, energy tank and quoin multipliers.
    I expect we're missing:
    1) Get imagination from still.
    2) Get imagination from woodworker.
    3) Reduce fuel use of metal machine.
    4) Reduce fuel use of woodworker.
    5) Some with the crystalmalizing chamber.
    6) Reduce wear on picks.
    7) Imagination from grinder.
    8) Imagination from smelter.
    9) Something to increase grain from chickens other than super harvests?
    10) Knock out Wood: "Plays guitar music while you knock out wood."

Edit: This is my (Scarf's) alt. Because I'd already learning snapshottery on my main.

  • UGH!!! banging head on desk. I never thought of the   Senior Mending Manager, Kitchen Division  before I bought the upgrades. yikes!!! eh..it's OK. I'm sure I'll be playing long enough to get it anyway. I like having achievements left to get.

  • Hey man, ta for the list ;)

Just to let you know, you have two of the names wrong:
    Bubble Bonus should read Bubble-licioius
Knife Skills should read Sweet Knife Skills
Posted 7 months ago by Synkronos Subscriber! | Permalink
  • The names keep changing. Even the text changed.  Really, they'll probably change all the tool ones so they say "extra imagination" so it's clear what's going on.

  • Ok, I added the recent updates to a majority of the text, now stuff is more clear.

For example, Harvest Fool/Fiend didn't say anything about it being a crop upgrade, so before I got the card I originally put it into the tree section. Then I thought about it making no sense that there would be both that and the 4X per tree harvest or the tree hugger ones, so I moved it into crops.

Tool text now says that it gives extra imagination, except for Enlightenment, which I assume works the same way. Sometimes I do get like 10x the normal amount.

Brain capacity, quoin multiplier and energy tank cards now say what exactly you're upgrading to.

Quoin multiplier now says 0.1 etc, at least on the card in game.

Also, spelling mistakes are fixed, like Fuel Efficiency and the word ethereal in the the gassier harvest text.

Upgrades that said % chance are now vaguer.

Brain capacity text has a typo (you instead of your)

Some text got more interesting (Dirty and Extra Dirty, Master Assembler, Rub er' Up)

Snapshottery may or may not give you a camera.

Bubble-licioius is still spelled wrong, as it should be Bubble-licious like the end of delicious.

    Someone likes the word "whopping".
