We all know that it is not uncommon for Glitches to have large piles of items in their homes, and we all know that all that stuff can increase both load times and lag while also making it difficult to organize everything.
Let’s say you’ve collected 5,000 chunks of sparkly at your house, instead of a single large stack of 5,000 chunks of sparkly what you really have is 100 stacks of 50 chunks of sparkly. Not only does each of those stacks need to be loaded/rendered separately, but currently, if you want to pick up 500 chunks of sparkly from a large pile, you must pick up 10 individual stacks of 50 with each going into its own slot in your inventory. ..
If non-inventory stack limits were removed, or increased by a multiple of 10 or even 100, load times and lag would be reduced while also making the managing of our piles-o-stuff easier and simplify picking up quantities of items. You would be able to pick up those 500 chunks of sparkly by picking up a single stack and entering the desired amount into the popup (500) . Items picked up this way would still distribute themselves into standard-sized stacks in your inventory.
