Ok, going to need my Glitch very soon!

I am taking my son to his dorm tomorrow, for the first time. I will need something to distract me.  Please tell me my wonderful, amazing, sweet Glitch will be coming back soon to distract my brain....please.

  • Thank you. The image is part of an API project of mine. I needed to do a test to see how the Glitches scaled in it anyways. :) Trying to cheer up an anxious mother who's baby is leaving the nest for the first time was well worth it.

  • Aww... Innie....   There's an elementary school that has a sign on their marquee...  "Klennex and Koffee"   for all the parents dropping off new kindies.    Maybe they should do that at college as well!!!  :)

    (((hugs)))

  • New kindies? But I love that idea. Her son in this case is under 18 and going more than 100 miles away. He's been admitted into a special program for gifted high school students in mathematics. She's definitely proud, but understandably anxious.

  • Oh, I totally got that Fokian!!!   But the post totally reminded me of the weepy parents dropping off their little ones...    and it's not all that different for dropping off the "older" ones.  (((hugs)))

  • I had this big group of kids that are a year older than son watch me walk out of his dorm with tears welling up in my eyes.  One clapped, the rest started giggling. I said "Yep, you all watched your momma's take this same walk, didnt you?"  It was a resounding "Yes!".

Well, he is up there, in his dorm. Making new friends, growing up fast.

It's gonna be alright, if I can just remember to breathe. LOL  (But yeh, would really really like my Glitch back)

  • As RM said -- {{{{HUGS}}}}.  great big emo-bear hugs!

    Wow Fokian!  that's awesome!

It is hard to drop them off at college.  Esp. when they are younger.

Sounds like he's in a great place.  You do your job right, they break your heart.  Deep breaths and lots of love.
