Maybe it's because I have a back button on my mouse but I agree with larky lion on this one. For a while I thought it would be nice but with how much some of us click on things it could get really annoying.
Maybe it should be a settable option? For me it would be a practical solution as Glitch is an app tab for me and it gets annoying when I forget to right-click the link instead.
I'm with larky - if it's set to open in the same tab then I can decide where I want it to go - same tab, different tab, different window. If it's set to open in a different tab then I don't know how to force it to open in the same tab. Maybe it's just cos I'm terrible at managing my tabs (today is a REALLY good day... I've only got 26 tabs open).
I really do not want this feature, if I want to keep the forum page open I will do the right-clicky thing as well. As someone who can regularly and literally get hundreds of tabs open easily I do not need more.
I could have sworn that option was in my browser settings "Open links in new tab" or window for IE but I consider that to be a very very poor form.
Maybe it's because I'm just a sucker for tabbed browsing, and because I hang out on the Something Awful boards too much, but every time I come to these forums, I want the links to open new tabs. I suppose I could go into the Chrome settings and make it happen myself, but when almost every other website I visit regularly does it automatically, it gets frustrating to have that one that doesn't.
That works, but sometimes I "misfire" my timing on ctrl (command) - click. I prefer off-site links to open in a new window. Local links definitely in the same tab.
