So many great suggestions! By the way, we're keeping tabs on every single request so it's likely that you'll see some of this stuff in the wardrobe in the future. On Friday we added a bunch of nice dresses, some black-and-white staples, as well as the coconut bra and the grass skirt that people had been asking for.
There's some very cool new outfits in the works, so keep an eye on the forums or check your wardrobe for any updates before the next test. I'm not sure if the diaper will make it to the next round, but the fezzes should definitely be good to go;)
What do you guys think of the Baby Doll Coat?
@ sugarQb, the Baby Doll Coat is one part Gaga, one part Tim Burton and one part Hannibal Lechter. I will have to see it on Glitches of different personality before I pass judgement. On my avatar it might look whimsical but on those little skeleGlitches, YIKES. I may run the other direction (but I suppose that is the intended effect, eh?).
I like the Baby Doll coat - but it doesn't really look like skulls to me (I definitely need glasses - or a bigger screen!) At first glance I thought it was puffy fur :)
I quite like my octopus but I'd love a cat for my head - It could lie there sleeping until I jumped then it could be scared and grip with all claws - like they do in real life :D
...or a crocodile skull? My face could peek out the mouth.
I love the hoodies, it would be nice to have a "hood up" option
Also love the new corsets. More colors please!
+1 for a ballgown/ super fancy dress (sparkly would be cool)
+1 pajamas (cami/shorts, full long sleeve flannels for winter, one piece for the "children" among us)
To go with the golf/country club or geek/nerd ensembles - vests
Blazer
Ballet slippers
More t-shirt designs (peace sign, different flowers, awareness ribbons, alpha & beta testers)
I was down at the White House last night (actually early this morning) and people had some great American flag apparel. Doggies were wearing bandanas, folks wore flags like Olympians, and the t-shirts, jackets and button downs from Old Navy 4th of July past.
It would be fine to have Canadian flag apparel, too. ;) and of course others.
More animal hats, disco gear - ie cat-suits, shirts with giant emblem medallions (pun!) for Glitchians who are *really* into contemplating them, to go with bell bottoms
+1 to α and β tester shirts!
+1 Steampunk gear
+1 Dinosaur
Roller derby skates and helmets!
Definitely need jammies to go with the bunny slippers. Fashioned my own out of a few separates but specific colors, stars, Superhero (for jdawg) and maybe rainbows would be lovely.
Also like several ideas upthread: bathing suits, ball gowns, glasses, wings.
A few other things that came to mind yesterday (hopefully I remember them all...) :
- metal trash can
- inner tube
- snorkel
- water wings
- Pipi Longstocking style socks
- feather boa (the Baby Doll Coat prompted this; I thought the thing was feathers and the 'baby doll' was referring to the style of lingerie at first. And then I saw the eyes... lol)
Can we venture into the plant kingdom more and add giant sunflower petals and little shop of horrors?
Animal Kingdom: sharks, got to have sharks
Cosmic: spiral galaxies and saturn, asteroids and comets, got to have martians and aliens
Marching band hats
Where are the pocket protectors?
And how can any world exist without Elvis?
"natural gassers" mask = as a long suffering edmontonian i find this hilarious
"double-0 jersey" = really rather clever, the old colours combined with the newer logo .. sly!
i would like to see more of this stuff, if it proves at all popular.
the slowly developing glitch-sports scene might well popularize this attire : ]
Cowboy boots
A spiderman outfit
Phantom of the Opera half mask
long, long hair (like waist length, parted in the middle, like a hippie)
An astronaut suit (just because I think it would be funny)
The robe and hair curlers that was brought up earlier
Geta (the raised Japanese sandals, to go with my kimono) and a traditional Geisha hairstyle
Spectacles or sunglasses
I like the cave man and women idea. The suit of armour is a neat idea. Swim suits with an option of the the ring floaties around the waist or some waist floaties that look like cute frogs and ducks. I like the thought of sunglasses or spectacles too. Lab gear was a good one. Gotta have the snorkel and goggles to go along with the swimsuit and floaties. Can't forget about the flippers too!
Halloween is my fav holiday so i would like to see, a skeleton, witch, ghost, pumpkin(hmm might wear this one all year) frankenstein, vampire, you get the idea :)
I just thought of some..hope they haven't already been mentioned and I am repeating.
How about:
Biker leathers: coat, vest, chaps, pants, some plain or with spikes or both :)
Tattoos (would we be able to see them on our little avatars?)
colored streaks for our hair
biker boots with buckles
Motocross outfits and helmets and motocross boots
how about one of those helmets some have seen in the opera with the horns coming out of them? (hahaha)
Hey WindBorn! Enjoying the new wellies yet?;) (Obviously this is a massive exception, but since your name refers to weather we thought that you might enjoy rain boots that bear your name.)
We love the Threadless Glitch and customizable hoodie ideas. It would be awesome to see people running around with their Glitch-i-fyed creations, especially knowing how creative our players are. One day, perhaps.
xopumpkinxo - we just released our very first themed mini-collection for Zille-O-Ween with items such as the Ancient Butterfly Dress and the skeleton suit (pants + shirt + hat). In fact, today we added a total of 37 new items to the wardrobe, including many of the clothes that people had asked for: the fedora, skull masks and staples such as the dark army pants and the black-and-white shirt.
The masks are totally awesome!! I will get some as soon as I can STOP buying clothes for my avatar....gak, she's worse than all 5 of my daughters when they were teenagers!!
Thanks, Sugar, you are a rockin designer and artist.
Did anyone said scarves already? Because I'm a huge fan of them. I just hate there's not enough winter for my collection. Any sort of accesories, like hair pins (that actually let see the hair) and so.
The Ancient Butterfly Dress is quite awesome, as is the mask/hat to go with it. The beauty of the game is that it is, well, just that, a game. You can go as crazy as you want. We have to disguise ourselves as "normal" people in the real world, with the exception of halloween, so why not use the game to go a little nuts. The only thing I don't like is that I have to go bald in order to wear one of the wonderful masks or hats. Any chance of changing that in the future??
Loving the windborn wellies. They go so cool with rain hat.. WTG
@ Miss Muffett, I was looking to see if anyone mentioned BIKER GEAR. Love this idea
Jacket can be with or without fringe (mine has fringe) same with chaps.
It would be nice if there was a plaid hat. Specifically, a plaid fedora, but any plaid hat would do. At least, it would certainly make my character's name make more sense (The Plaid Hatter).
Lurell, re: "The only thing I don't like is that I have to go bald in order to wear one of the wonderful masks or hats. Any chance of changing that in the future??"
This is more of a pain in the butt than one might imagine, but we are currently working on getting hat/mask/hair combos available in the game. No ETA and there are definitely some combinations that will never work, but there will be many that do work (masks might eventually be moved to their own category, separate from hats, since (a) most masks already work with most hairstyles and (b) you might want to wear both a mask and a hat).
I know the issue of hat+hair must be a pain in the butt to code, because the Sims has set hairstyles that are included with each hat (you can't mix and match). If it was easy to put hats on any hairstyle, I'm sure they would have allowed it. Soooo... an option would be to just have versions of the hats/horns/masks that already come with hair (where the user can then choose the hair color).
