I'm starting to get bored and before I get to the point where I decide to quit, I wanted to share a few ideas why. First, I think the lack of higher level quests is absolutely number one thing missing to keep me active in the game. Second, after trying different house styles, I definitely took a liking to the swamp (firebog) houses - but that also is quickly losing it's appeal because although I like herbs there's a limited amount of quests (compared to crops), there's less demand and less money to be made with herbs. If there was more quests related to herbs and more recipes, it would definitely spice up (hehe) the game. Finally, I know street projects exist and will probably surface again soon, but there needs to be more world activities. The party maps and mini games are great, but don't serve a purpose. Goal or quest oriented world activities would make me feel like I'm part of something larger than just my house and grinding - a feeling that was there in the beginning with all the quests and discoveries, but now is slowly pushing me towards a feeling of disconnect.
I know these comments have been said somewhere else in some others ways, and I'm sure you're working on these ideas already. I just feel like if I'm about to quit the game you should know why (and I wouldn't bother to start a discussion about it if I didn't like this game so much already - I just want more reasons to keep playing other than amassing a huge amount of currents and buying cubimals).
