[not fixed] Crops grow faster without water

I received a notification that my garden was dry and needed watering, so I wandered back home to attend to it.

I found that all my plots were dry, apart from one. I had planted cabbage seeds in all plots at the same time, and all the dry patches were still showing just the seeds, whilst the wet one had a small seedling in it. As I watered each plot, the seeds immediately transformed into a full grown cabbage, ready for harvesting.

The popup shown when selecting a dry patch showed that it was less than half grown, but watering resulted in a growth spurt that caused it to overtake the seedling which had remained wet throughout.

  • I've noticed this as well. I've documented the process in this album:

  • Same exact bug for herbs.
Planted all 12 at the same time. All but the last two were dry, and as I watered them they sprang back to life as full plants.
I was wondering why the last two aren't done yet, and then a staff member pointed me to this thread. Darn bug.

  • Should be fixed, let us know if you still see a problem. :)

  • Yup, I still see a problem. I just watered my (dry) cabbage seeds, that were showing about 2/3 growth in the progress bar, and on watering, they dropped back to almost zero on the progress bar. This was a good few real-world hours after planting.

If they've reached the seedling stage, I wouldn't expect the progress bar to be at (almost) zero.
