Death--or maybe the quicksand burps you back up inside a prison bubble and a gush of wind then carries you off(teleports) to another location. The bubble pops and drops you. But cake sounds good too.
I hate games that take you out of what you were doing with no warning and require you to either complete some puzzle or slog across the world to get back to what you were doing for fun.
Fortunately, Glitch does not use this strategy to force people to stop playing the game they wanted to play, and instead play the game the developers decided they ought to play.
