Considering there is no real way to randomly lose currants, and no remotely stable investment opportunities, a user-run bank would be such a disaster xD
But I mean, if you have too many currants, I'm sure there are people who will... watch them for you. Lol.
There have been two.
The first was created by past XP leader-board champ en.
It is/was called Glitch National Bank www.glitch.com/groups/RA5SQ...
It never really got off the ground.
The second was run by someone through an alt account.
It was called First Bank of UR. www.glitch.com/groups/RDOKA...
It "closed suddenly".
This is an interesting post written about the subject you bring up. link
iDylan - I bid on lot's of rare item offerings but don't have much luck winning. Recently I have been making Expensive Grilled Cheese. It is not the most exciting way to make currants though.
I'm sure the whole point of the upgrades card system was to make sure that players didn't become the strongest just by the virtue of joining the earliest... So a bank that gave interest would be counter to that, right?
This isnt WoW, this isnt Runescape. You arent walking around tons of items taking up your bags that you have no where else to store them. This is Glitch, and we have /homes where we put our stuff. Our /homes have locks on the doors so our stuff is safe (except from bugs and our own stupidity).
I like the idea and all, and frankly, i see what you're doing. You're just wanting to do something fresh, never done before, to help Glitch in the most you can. I respect that. And if you want an idea, shoot me a message in the mail. I got tons of ideas just stored up, but I can't do them all. (This goes out to everyone). *im in the process of two, one being a trick or treat route, and a newspaper!
