I've discovered the secret to getting Glitchly Rich and enjoying it

Mining Sparkly it the best way to pay attention and participate in Global!  Wonderful downtime and a couple of clicks without even having to take your eyes from the Global Chat, as long as you don't mind the occasional squawk form the chickens.  :)

  • Do you just sell the chunks or are you hoping for jems? How are you making money exactly?

  • Great suggestion.  Everyone should do this.  Immediately.

  • Sparkly is ... like... I dunno, there are better way's to get rich, BUT I would agree that this would make mining less painful. :)

  • Why do you think I practically live in the mines ;) You get to hang out AND make some bread.

  • Mining is fine as it is. Sad is sparkly is most expensive and ppl mine it to sell to vendors. There should be equal prices for all rock types, so there is no selective mining.

Sometimes is really hard to find sparkly to make powders. Except if you go into Ajaya or Neva which are crowded and many people dislike, because of the absurd rules.

  • There may be better ways of getting rich, but for me mining is an excuse to play in Global and still be doing something.  I Lobe my Global Family!

  • Lilla - you are welcome to go mine AB / NN and you don't have to follow their rules.

Anyone who goes apeshit should be blocked and / or reported.

There is no should in Glitch. They get to play their way, you get to play yours.

  • If you call it rules, stay out of AB / NN.

If you would rather call it (minimal) cooperative behaviour, feel free to join them.

  • I demand apeshit

Imagine how quickly that would make  our crops grow.

And you could probably apply it from a distance

  • With tinkering 8 you can craft an apeshit cannon.

  • With new housing you'll be able to build a house out of apeshit.

  • Combine sparklemining/global with active crops, gardening V and RHK, and yes, currants cease to be a problem.

  • +1 apeshit Can Poo-flinging be the next new skill please? Bahahaha!

  • I've never really had trouble finding sparkly outside of AB/Neva Neva.  And it actually makes sense to me that the rocks have different prices - I've noticed that I get more chunks of the dullite and beryl per hit than sparkly - so price seems to be tied to the energy expended to get it.

  • Neva Neva mind AB.. :)  There's plenty of good mining in Pollokoo and Callopee and many other streets less prospected.  Seam streets are well.. what they are.

  • I do like mining sparkly and chatting in Global but for wealth purposes only I much prefer crafting and cooking and selling crafted / cooked items.  :3

We lobe you in chat btw Lil Missy. <3

  • I have a few streets I teleport to regularly for my mining fix and sparkly galore - usually no one else is there, and I have the street all to myself.  Not a fan of the rat race and chasing with a mob to get one dig in on a rock. Just my 2 currants worth.

  • I dunno, I don't care much for mining and meat is worth about as much as sparkly, iirc. you don't get gems that way but you do get other random things (music boxes, etc.)

  • But why do you want to be rich? There isn't much to buy in the game.

  • I lobe you too Miso, and all of my glitchy Global chat family! The point is not to get rich, in that sense of the word, it's the richness of the awesome relationships forged in Global. The currents...........that's just a nice byproduct. ;)

  • I don't really know what to do with Sparkly rocks I mine... but everyone else is mining them, so they must be good for something, right?!
Posted 11 months ago by Bashere Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Sell them!
Posted 11 months ago by Li'll Missy Brenda Subscriber! | Permalink
  • You can make the sparkly into expensive powders (like extremely hallowed shrine powder), and expensive tools (like crystalmalyzing chambers) that are great for donating or selling. For the latter you will also have to mine metal rock.

  • I sell both sparkly and beryl, but dullite is a waste of time....
Posted 11 months ago by RJStormRider Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Donation!! Sparkly is the best for donations cause you can donate the exact amount to get to the number you need (be it just under the limit for faster learning or exactly at the limit for an emblem).  I love sparkly.

  • @rjstorm: Dullite is very useful if you need green elements. When crushed, it gives 8 green as opposed to beryl and sparkly, which give 2 and 1 respectively.

  • Oops... I should have said that dullite is a waste of time for selling, but yes Flowerry, it's good for green elements.... :)
