"Back" Doesn't Take Me Back

It's great being able to see more than one page of updates by using the "More..." button on my home page. However the "back" button on my browser always take me back to the first page. If I have pressed that "More..." button five times to catch up on what my friends were posting while I was asleep, and I want to click on someone's snapshot, when I'm done looking, going "back" doesn't take me back to where I was, it takes me all the way back to the first panel of updates.

  • HTML "back" typically means a whole page. The more button does not change the page, but simply updates the page in place [AJAX] to add more info.

If you want to get back to the normal home page do a refresh.

  • I feel your pain, Sirentist. I'm trying to train myself to open all links in a new tab so I don't have to click eleventy more times to get back to where I first clicked from.

  • @Sturminator 5: Yeah, that makes sense. I guess in lieu of the browser "back" button, it would be cool if the place you linked to had a link that would dump you back to where you linked from.

@Aleph Zero: Opening links in new tabs. Duh, me. You may have just saved me a lot of extra clicking!
