Ancient Trees

What if trees after a long duration of time (like at least a RL week) level up again, providing possibly much more yield and having possibly other perks.  This could help in highly trafficked areas like East and West Spice where the trees are always running out of spice.  Also Ferilitdust should have no or very little effect on obtaining the last stage.  It would create a greater moral dilemma for people who like to kill and replace trees (not knocking doing this, I'm about to start myself in order to get some badges).  Currently if you carry enough Ferilidust there is effectively no effect to just randomly replacing trees.  To help prevent greifing maybe make the count down timer on the "Ancient Trees" much longer time period than normal to give people more time to save them (like 5 to 10 minutes).

  • +1 I like the idea of Ancient Trees and no way to Fertilidust them up. Also, I think it should take either twice as much poison to kill them, or twice as long, or even a better more expensive poison

  • +1 I think this is an idea that mirrors the real world in a good way.  Trees that have been growing longer in a certain location should definitely get and give bonuses.  Currently all our wood trees are the equivalent of "trash pine."  Reward the Glitchen that practice responsible forest husbandry.

  • *like*  This is also a really good way of rewarding Glitchen with a collection of trees in their yards at home.

  • Oh, yes. Maintaining your at home patches should definitely have a reward :P Then the poor jump failures would be able to cultivate a reasonable amount of gas at home instead of slogging around the hard to traverse Jethimadh :P

  • Another addition would be the amount of time, energy, and damage done to your hatchet trying to chop down an ancient tree.
