Launch...it's a-coming

Q1. Are you staying or going? (Yes, No, Not Sure)

Q2. If you are going, why?

Q3. If you are staying, how will your style of play change?

Q4. From your time testing Glitch, what is the one thing that you will take with you wherever you go (in life, online, to poop)?

  • 1. Yes! I'm staying
    2. I'm not going o_o
    3. I will hopefully play less frantically. There's something about limited access to a site that makes me want to play as much as possible when it's open. With 24/7 opening I'll hopefully get myself less addicted... otherwise I'll just burn out.

  • I guess I should answer...

    1. Staying is the only option.
    2. See above.
    3. I see myself with less frantic dashes to get something done, but playing as much (if not a little more) just less time-boxed. It will give me a chance to de-stress here whenever I feel the need.
    4. Although I have a lot of silly responses, I will be serious for a moment. I will take the friendships I have made with me wherever I go. My life is changed by the friendships I am forging and I am thankful for those.

    2 not going
3 change my skill set learn pattern. Otherwise I don't play like the server is shutting down soon until near the end of a test.
    4. Go? Where? I think my attitudes and personality patterns that allow me to enjoy the game will remain the same :)
Edit to #4: Good point from someone else in this thread. My multiple friendships and contacts. I have a LOT!

    3. also changing my skill set pattern. probably will play constantly when it first opens to get skills back up, get a home, etc for the first few days, but then things will calm down.
    4. The memories- parties, pics, bugs. the whole testing experience has been amazing. I couldn't ask for more fun with a more fun bunch of people.

    2. Does not apply.
    3. I don't think it'll change much. It'll just allow more freedom to play a few min here and there rather than as much as possible when it is up.
    4. Lots of bags, food and drink.

  • 1. Limiting my playtime drastically/Leaving
    2. Mostly because school starts back up in September for me, and partly because the game itself is getting kind of boring for me. I hope they do introduce something new for the "end-game" Glitch players, but until then, the game just lost it's fun for me.
    3. I'll log on to make sure skills are researching and whatnot, and occasionally pop in to do some quests/see what has changed in the game if there are any big updates.
    4. How I would love to work at Tiny Speck one day, or a project that is similar to this. Although I am loosing intrest in the game, I still love the idea of it and the work the devs and Tiny Speck are putting into it. Would love to be a part of something like that some day.

  • 1. staying

    2. not going

    3. i might be more deliberate in the skills i learn and the order in which i learn them (right now i'm a jack of all trades.

    4. Glitch has taught me a big lesson in rewards and positive reinforcement. I'm not joking. If I received the "attagirls" in real life that I do playing Glitch, I seriously would meet all my life goals. I'm currently trying to figure out how to create badges and emblems for real-world things I'm working on in hopes that it will spawn the same determination. Getting a rainbow over my head that said SUPER HARVEST might be tough... but you never know. :)

I've been thinking about this #4 thing a lot since I started playing (late May or early June). I think it would be helpful to many people.

Q2. It all depends on the community. :)

Q3. Better Learning FIRST. Then Mining!

  • 1.Definitely staying.
    2.Lol
3.-Skill set order (still trying to figure out the "right" order for me. Wondering how BL can be helpful, if it removes 20% but adds 25% by being 5 skills...)
-Hopefully I will learn to stop playing and eat. Toast and noodles have been what I manage to cook for dinner during testing. Oh, and anything that I just place in the oven, but I don't have many of those things. If not, I might have to install a timer to switch off the internet and make me cook.
    4. Idk. It is a fun game, but I don't take it that seriously. (lol 16 hour gaming days and I "Don't Take It Seriously")

    Staying
I think I'll try to find a group that I "fit in" with, to expand my enjoyment of spending time on Glitch, instead of just learning what's what.
When you have enough to make you happy and to carry on the way you enjoy life, give a little something to others who don't have that privilege. I know that already in life, but in Glitch it's very easy to help others so why not do more of it?

  • 1. Not sure yet, see below.
    2. Unlike some here, I kinda like the frantic nature of the time-limited tests, since everyone is playing hard trying to do as much as possible - building streets, running quests, or partying. Having the limits removed is going to mellow the game considerably, and it'll lose a lot of it's dynamic energy.
The whole start-again-from-scratch thing is a bit of a shame, as I'm not sure I want to go through the *entire* process again. I feel I've done much of the game already, and building back up to where I am now again would be a fairly long and potentially tedious process, since it won't contain anything new. Yes, the chance to do things "better this time around" might help for a while, but there's only so much variation to be had with the same quests and skill progressions.
    3. If I do stay, I'll have to adjust to the slower pace, and either go more casual and do little bits on and off, or just do lotsa things in bursts. Perhaps this will fit with my IRL schedule a bit better, rather than steamrollering for a few days at a go!
    4. Building things (in a semi-competitive way) can be just as much fun as smashing things up, and more sociable too :)

I think it's fairly easy to spot the users that aren't 100% sure if they're staying or not - anyone with a heart by their name is gonna stay ;) ... but I ain't one of them... yet :)

  • A. #1. Yes, I am staying.

    A. #2. The reason why I am staying is because the atmosphere of this game reminds me of a recently closed game called Faunasphere(I know some of you have played this).
This game fills the hole that was made when FS left.
I know why I'm staying wasn't the question, but what else was I to put here?

The question should be, 'why are you staying/going?'.

    A. #3. Since it will be officially open, I'll have time to do other things I like to do on the computer.
I've also decided that when I'm doing something else on the internet, I'll keep a tab open with skills, so I can gain abilities faster.

    A. #4. Thoughts of my many old and new friends on here. :)

    4. My commitment to drive kevbob coocoo about spelling! (j/k) Really, what I take with me is the knowledge that "virtual life" is not necessarily exclusive of or worse than "real life" because the friendships you make are as strong (and sometimes stronger than) as those in "real life." And my deep gratitude to Tiny Speck for letting to participate in something this incredible. Fantastic memories, zillions of screenshots and an eagerness to get going again, also. (Oh yeah, and the memory of my son looking at Hank Tudor's computer screen a couple tests ago and saying, "That's Daddy's fruit changer!" HA. Ha. Yes, son, it is.)

Why won't they let me into the petting zoo? (It was only a couple of chickens I squeezed! I didn't even nibble that piggy~) And the memory that I ordered a Cloudberry Frappucino at Starbucks by accident. Hey, it was that same delicate shade of orange on the sign...
