Increase maximum purchase amounts from 999 to 9,999, or even 99,999

So I was just went to buy ~36K grain from an SDB and at 999 grain per transaction its going to take some time. Does anyone else find the maximum purchase of 999 limiting?

  • dont buy grain, buy the bundles of grain...

righttt? that would be *far* easier

also, you have at max i think 256 slots if you had all empty big bags on you

where would the other zillion of whatever you are buying go?

  • a) Far more people sell grain than bundles of grain.  I didn't even realize you could bundle grain until I was showing my mom how to use the menus when she started playing.  It stands to reason that I'm not the only one who didn't know this.

    b) This idea works for more than just grain as you can purchase other items from SDBs that you might require or want to purchase a large amount of that do not come in "bundles".

    c) You simply do not buy more than you have pack space for.  If we have max 256 slots in our inventory and un-bundled grain stacks at 250, that makes a grand total of 64k (or my math could be off) that we could carry out of a vendor at once (assuming that all bags are empty).  Thus it is completely realistic that someone could want to purchase 36k of grain at once.

There are a couple items that stack larger than 250, but I think the 99,999 might have been an exaggeration to make a point.  We should be able to purchase items in as large quantities as we can carry.
