Rooks Destroying Inactive Houses

If Rooks come in and destroy streets that are underused / underloved, I think they should do the same to houses. If you don't play enough (up to TS to decide this)  you come in and everything has died, and maybe half of your stuff is missing.

Yeah, yeah, I like this idea!

  • ✦ SHI∇IΔΠ ✦, not all of us can play an internet game 24/7. If I quit playing for months and then decide to come back and keep playing, I should have the right to do that, just like I can in any other video game. I don't want to play a game that punishes me for going to school and working hard and not devoting my life to an internet game. There is no reason to have ANY form of forced upkeep on the houses, it only encourages people with lives to QUIT playing. Also, maybe you could give this a rest until the new housing comes out? They are planning on fixing a lot of the things you aren't happy with, but don't worry, you'll probably find something to complain about with those too. ;)  But idk, wait and see maybe you will be happy with the new system.

  • Alsooo, since this game has been out for like 2 months (-2 months?) forgetting to play for a month isn't "woefully negligent" but quitting for 2 or 3, that's a crime.

  • Haven't you suggested penalizing players who don't play enough for your liking before? What is it with you and this topic that you just can't let it die?

  • How about requiring repairs on houses? If you dont login for long your house is unused and thus will "deteriorate". Once a limit reached you are required to repair the house (by giving X). If you dont the house bureaucrats will confiscate the house, repay you and put it up for sale thus reviving the neighbourhood.

    implementation:
check on the time since last logged in: If time-now > treshold then send repair-mail
    Repair:
    just log in is enough
    OR donate currants/favor
OR repairing is equal to a streetproject with some low qualtities of work/items.

  • Punkiee

How would the game benefit from that?

What neighborhood is an example of one that needs reviving?  I haven't seen any, and so far, no one has been able to show me one.

  • I can imagine systems of upkeep that do not take away your house or items.  But I don't see the point even then.

I think it's safe to assume that one of the reasons they are addressing housing, aside from adding customization, is to fix the problems that arise from the current system.

I don't know if there are inactive quarters, but I know there won't be when housing changes.

And while I don't know how much memory a home takes up, I know it only takes up bandwidth if it is loaded and active.  And memory is cheap and plentiful.  So that's kind of a silly reason.
    So meh, just meh.
