Towers and Mood Loss

Towers were designed as specific public spaces, and seem to have a few major purposes evolving:
Socializing spaces, where it is safe to throw a party without your rare dolls being stolen by a random guest.
Malls, where you can set up an SDB vending machine for anything you want to sell
Art displays, where you can show off your sense of interior design, or use the standard objects and furniture items to build amazingly creative installations.

The standard periodic mood loss penalty interferes hugely with all of these functions.  There is nothing in the tower itself that will increase my mood, unless it's vending appropriate drinks.  If I want to stay and read the poetry posted on the third floor of a tower on the writer's route, I have to make sure that I have supplies with me, or constantly meditate to keep my mood from dropping through the floor.  It's the same if I want to browse several floors of offerings in a large tower mall while deciding what to buy.  At least on a street, I can harvest from some trees, or donate to a shrine, or grab a quoin or two to increase my mood.  When I am in someone else's tower, I can't even switch to Decorate mode to pause mood loss while I'm busy chatting.

Can you please consider rebalancing the mood loss for towers?  I know it could be a problem if that means people are going to go there exclusively to craft at a lower mood cost.  Can we switch back and forth between a Social mode that doesn't let you craft anything but lets you read notes and navigate the floors, maybe even buy from the SDBs?  I'm picturing something very similar to the switch between Cultivate/Decorate vs Normal mode on your own home street, where actions are limited, but mood is not lost, for when you are in other peoples' towers.

Thanks.

  • -1, not because its a bad idea, but there are already plenty of in-game ways to address mood loss, I'd much rather see TS work on the tutorial, or craftybots, or closeness feedback for achievements etc.
