I stopped playing Glitch almost a year ago due to various Skyrim and SWTOR/TERA related distractions. I heard about the move back to beta but unfortunately I never took a good look at Glitch again until recently.
I finally logged in and ... I'm stumped. I see the UI received an overhaul and housing was tossed out in favor or a new system. I also see that we have iMG points now and that my brain is 475% under pressure *YIKES* . I also see we've got furniture and some new islands. However, I'm either confused, confounded or just overwhelmed by everything that I just honestly don't know where and/or how to get started again.
I remember being addicted back when I played and I remember spending hours banging on sparkly in those gated communities of Ajaya Bliss and Neva Neva. But it all seems like it was so long ago now and I'm struggling to remember why I was so addicted to this game. I love the aesthetic and the silliness of Glitch but I sit at my new home on an empty street and I'm lonely and unable to make my first step.
Maybe it's because I need goals - yes I know there are quests and maybe I should pay closer attention to them - but I also need more 'meta' goals. How do I make money now? I assume income gathering has evolved from selling no-no powder and sparkly. Why should I garden or make furniture? Is there a market for furniture? When I log in, what sort of suggested goals should I prioritize for maximum fun? :)
I know feedback will be highly subjective, but I want that. Hearing about what specifically makes your Glitch-time fun and engaging may help me gain perspective. I also know that simply chatting in global is fun for many, but I bore easily of chatroom games :P I can do that on facebook and google plus all day.
So basically this is a long-winded preface to me asking - what should I start doing? I have a virgin house on a virgin street with a pile of iMG points and no idea what to do next...upgrade cards, furniture, cooking, gardening, petting, milking, farming. It doesn't just become a farming/crafting sim, does it?
Also, I know that Glitch's community has always been quite welcoming and helpful, otherwise I wouldn't dare to post this sort of thread. If I did this on a more mainstream mmo board, I'd get trolled to death.
Please help me out with specifics and give me some pointers on how to re-engage my Glitch engines ^^
Thank you so very much!!
