There have been many suggestions about how to solve the problem of "accidentally" getting an emblem when you are trying to get as close to maximum as possible. There is an annoying amount of math that goes into getting this right (not to mention currants lost due to using shrine powder and getting an emblem instead of time off of skills), and something as simple as completing a quest or leveling (happens to me all the time!) will push you over the threshold. It's stressful and tedious, not to mention having to drop items and pick them back up in just the right number so as not to go over the limit since you cannot tell the game an exact amount to donate. It's just plain not fun.
I propose that instead of automatically awarding the player an emblem when the maximum is reached, allow the player to choose either an emblem, or spend the favor points. I would also suggest increasing the maximum favor by 200 for each emblem redemption to give a better incentive for people to get emblems (aside from giving us a real use for emblems).
