I was just thinking today that I wished we could make wine in the game. I was wondering if I was aging more like a fine wine or like a glitch stinky cheese. lol. That made me wonder why we can age cheese and make hooch but there is no wine. Winemaking would be such an great addition to the game because then we could really MAKE rare items by letting them age over years.
We've got the vines (as the thread attests) all we need are varieties of grapes and challenging ways to make the wine more desirable to collectors. And don't lets forget those hell grapes.
I would like a wine making skill that is as intricate and multilayered as possible.
I can confirm the vine is not climbable anymore, but hopefully this will register as just a small blip in the vine's full life of climbiness. Devs made a few changes earlier that kept it from briefly working, this should be something similar.
Also, it wouldn't really be the Cebarkul vine if it didn't reject us at least a few more times.
Our stated goal was to either make the vine climbable, or remove it.
Make it climbable or make it gone! I don't see how that's so wrong!
We strongly believe in the universal nature of vine equality, all vines shall be climbable under the eyes of the Giants. However, if this vine can not be climbed, it would be better to sever it from the platform in a fit of mercy, and this cursed vine should be sent straight to Panka Surazu, the seventh layer of hell.
If fixing this vine is causing too much trouble, just have an artist draw a splayed out vine on the ground, and throw it on the ground of Panka Surazu. There could be a whole memorial down there.
Thursday: we Demanded change and we got it!
I'm sure there are some things that you don't like in this game. Do you not like how people take your feeders and collectors? Well maybe you could start a group and get things changed too!
It was a really small change and pretty easy for the devs, I would think.
A method to lock RH devices, though--I'd wait for after housing, if you really don't like it just put it in your backyard. Not your front yard. Your backyard. Why is one a compound word and the other not o.o
It has actually turned in to a headache for the devs because what they thought was easy, is now broken completely. Now the vine has to investigated, and fixed.
Like I said, I would rather have housing than a vine.
yay! Yay! YAY! OCCUVINE REJOICE! No more falling on me teensy bottom in embarassment. Missed the celebrations but know that I was there in Cebarkul in spirit and solidarity.
ETA: Much apologies to any devs who were inconvenienced by these protests. Sending all our lobes and bear hugs to make up for it. Hope the broken vine did not break the interwebs.
katlazam: I LOVE VINE.
me: katlazam, are you just looking at things in the street and saying that you love them?
katlazam: I love vine.
me: Do you really love the vine, or are you just saying it because you saw it?
katlazam: I love vine... I love vine.
I have never put out feeders or collectors on the new road. To me having decorations taken is annoying but other than making a suggestion on ideas about it...i dont worry.
I agree with innie~ let them get back to work on major expected changes before worrying and demanding other changes.
I guess it is a to each thier own but...we need priorities.
Exactly, Lemo! Stump! We had a fun chant for that, too... On this stump! We will jump! And, now we can. The vine is cool too, but the stump is more useful IMHO. Both are awesome examples of TS listening to players.
You guys are right. The vine doesn't even allow you to climb to the top of the platform, so the stump is definitely more useful. In the end #OCCUSTUMP will be more important than #OCCUVINE ever was. The movement was short and sweet, with quick results and a more lasting impact.
That news is reassuring to hear, as others led me to believe the whole vine fiasco delayed the R2 housing deployment by about 14-16 months. I'm glad you all were able to make up that time so quickly.
