Autions - Crazy Prices

Just wondering what the outrageous prices are in the auctions? Are people doing this when they don't have enough room in their cupboard and bags? I would say they are using it as an additional storage slot somehow, just curious as to the strategy somehow. Thanks for the help.

  • Those were part of some players' pre-reset strategery. The idea is to set a way too high auction price, thereby preserving your item from disappearing in a reset or from being purchased...then you just cancel the auction and get your stuff back.

  • Wouldnt the Devs, just clear the auctions as well or has there been a previous reset were this worked? Thanks.

  • It's a gamble, and of course it'd be very easy for the devs to clear the auctions - but there was one user (Hburger) who got to keep one item through a previous reset by accidentally doing this, and I figure I have nothing to lose.

  • Hello! Yes, hopefully if my theory is correct and the reset won't affect the auctions, all we have to do is keep our most precious items on there for 24/7 then after the reset, 'Cancel' it to have the items back.

  • I thought I read that if it was in your inventory it would be saved, or does that apply only to the Christmas Yeti?
If everything but the Yeti gets wiped, I'm okay with that.
