New players often come to the mines seeking to earn the currants they need to buy supplies, tools and housing. They soon learn that mining is hungry work. The Community Kitchen has been cooking and blending food we think hungry miners will like. We've made stacks and bags of awesome stew, fortifying gruel, Ix-style braised meats, rich tagine, flummery, earthshakers, and savory smoothies. We made a visit to the mines this morning. It was cut short due to problems with server connection, but we had a chance to provide free food for a number of hungry miners and to try out our cooperative quiz idea.
A cooperative quiz works like this: If there are enough people on a street we visit, we ask a set of questions. If anyone on the street is able to provide the correct answer, everyone on the street gets bonus food. (We don't use charades potions for this. Just old-fashioned Q&A.)
We'll be visiting the mines again on Monday, Feb. 27 in the early evening PST and on Tuesday, Feb. 28 in the early afternoon PST. Maybe we'll see you there.
And a big thanks to the generous miners we met today who gave us gems! Those will be put to good use by the Community Kitchen.
