I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd give it a try.
My friend is an inexperienced player who doesn't play often and doesn't speak English very well. He recently reached level 18, and I've been helping him build his tower, which he's very excited about. I explained to him how to use SDBs to sell things, as he was running low on funds and wanted to buy the tower supplies that he didn't have the skills to craft himself yet. He doesn't have a good grasp of how much things are worth, though.
Sometime in the past few days he put his funpickle up for sale in his tower for 10k. I didn't figure this out until earlier today, when we were in his tower and I saw the ghost in the SDB. I wasn't in time to catch it and return it to him, and now I feel terrible for showing him how to sell stuff this way without having clarified that some items are worth far more than others. He knew the funpickle was valuable, but he had no idea just how valuable.
If you bought his funpickle, would you consider selling it back? I know it's unreasonable to hope someone would sell it back for the 10k she or he paid, but I'd offer a million currants, and then I could sell it in a proper auction in the Marketplace forum and give the proceeds to him.
In addition to the million currants, you'd make a friend for life. Me, I mean. And my friend, too. That's two lifelong friends! Even though I'm not really very friendly and I tend to scowl a lot. My friend is super sweet, though, and not scowly at all. Okay, this is why I should never be left in charge of posts where I'm trying to reach the good in people. I need to scowl less, huh.
Look! It's my HAPPY FRIENDLY FACE. I'm making HAPPY FRIENDLY HOPEFUL FACE! I'm making it really, really hard.
