Multi-page Forum and New Post in Group Suggestions

On posts that exceed the first page, it would be very nice to have the numbers, like at the bottom, at the top as well, that way I don't have to scroll through all of the posts I've already read to get to the next page.

Belonging to several groups it would be extremely helpful, as some groups are more active then others, to have a different color text to the group name when a new post has been created so that you can easily see which group has had an update since your last visit.

  • +1 to both, also +1 to flask's suggestion (but how would that be tracked?)

  • @millie: dunno. it's standard on nearly every forum i've ever seen, though.

  • +1 to flask's "skip to first unread". Essential when you are following a well-populated thread.

  • I'm with flask.

Especially if a thread is more than a page long, clicking on the thread on the home page should take you to the first unread post, not to the first page of the thread.

  • I could probably go on at length about the faults with the Glitch forums, especially having set up one for my WoW guild back in the day. Suffice it for me to say that the forums are in dire need of some lovin'.

  • Actually, I'm not at all worried about the forums eventually getting to be pretty spiffy.  I've seen what these guys can do with groups/forums/etc.  I'd really much rather that their time go into getting the game ready for launch.

But, when they do turn their attention to forums,  these seem to be the pain points to hit first.

  • Having page number links at the top would make long threads more mobile-friendly, too! :)
