or maybe one for veggie growing that guarantees superharvest on all your plots? or double the rocks?
no offense, but at least to me, it sounds a bit too easy (and yes, I do the guano harvest too, one 16 ct bag full of meat at a time, so I DO know what it takes)
I think, if the potion is sufficiently resource intensive to make (most potions are), that's not TOO much of an advantage. Even at double rate, guano harvesting would still be pretty time consuming. Besides, compared to everything else, crop harvesting is a little out of balance in terms of effort, imo. Clear, water, seed, guano, guano, wait, wait, wait, wait, harvest guano, wait, wait, harvest crop, repeat. It's the most tedious overall activity in the game. This does a small bit to reduce some of the tedium without mucking with the mechanics. And it's only a small part of the entire crop growing process. A small short term boost in guano collection is NOT going to double your overall production, it's just going to make it slightly less mind numbing.
I'm not against the award, I just think it could be abused to further drive the cost up for those who are unfamiliar with the game and establish a far higher cost of living than Glitch really requires. it's already easy to get enough for yourself and a few other people without extra awards.
I wouldn't "oppose you", but I don't support it. hope you appreciate the distinction.
The line of thought might be 'To properly garden, you need a house, tools and a constant supply of laxative.' While you don't actually need it, a new player might misconstrue the advice to use it as something that you need to effectively produce it.
I think the Batterfly Laxative is a wonderfully fun idea :)
Using the laxative would entail some sacrifice, of course. That rain of batterfly poo would certainly have a negative effect on your mood - not to mention the air quality of the caverns!
