Cartography

I know there've been numerous requests to be able to see visited streets.  I +1 that idea.

I'm pretty sure there've also been numerous requests to be able to notate the map.  I personally would like to be able to add landmarks and notate the map with locked door locations so the information is there on whichever computer I use for Glitch.

Perhaps making a cartography skill?  It can also be used to get info on streets (as in what trees/animals/etc are there)... and probably a few other uses I can't think of right now.

  • One of the better ideas I saw yet :D The ability to find street projects going on can be incorporated too.

  • Excellent! Please also include a way to keep track of what streets have mailboxes and mail dispatchers! I always spend about 5 minutes looking for one or the other.

  • sounds great
and I very much would like some kind of marking that lets me see on the map if I've been to a street or not

  • Yes, yes yes... a cartography skill which could branch out to 5 lvls or so... You should be able to see the contents of the street, if you've visited, and at lvl 5 the ability to notate... great idea ... +1

  • This would be amazing if implemented well. Kinda like Google Earth and Wikimapia where maps are "colored" and "marked".

  • Would be very nice if this was incorporated with the new minimaps, only available to see current items on the map with the skill heh

Able to get more info on streets (what's on them right from the map), and more information overall as far as the map goes.

  • +1  you could even use cartography V and teleportation V in conjunction, like to be able to visit the nearest mailbox to a certain area.
