Real life vacation... What happens to my Glitch piggies?

I'm going to be out of town without internet for about two weeks... What will happen to my plants and animals on Glitch? Is there a way I can have a friend stop by and feed the pigs? Should I just buy LOTS of pig feeders?

Thanks!

  • Buy a lot of feeders.

  • Your chickens will not care.  Your butterflies will likely fare better than they would if you were in (since milkers stop milking once full).

You can toss garden produce on the ground in lieu of extra piggy feeders.

Your garden crops will stop growing once the plot goes dry, but water them when you come back and they'll pick up where they left off..

I'm not sure whether there would be any problem with trees or not.

  • Ask someone to feed them for you, just like in RL.

  • KulKoba, that can't be done on Glitch

You cannot get into someone else's house unless they are online.

But how does one let her friends in if she isn't logged on? I also would like to know what would happen with the trees if I leave them alone too long without watering?

  • Trees don't die unless you poison them, afaik. Now I dunno if the piggies can eat them down or not though... I mean, eat them to where they have no fruit on them. I'm sure they won't kill them.

One way you can have friends take care of piggies is by hogtying them and taking them to their place for the time, then pick them up when you're back.

  • @ Little Miss Giggles,
Thanks for the clarification! This gave me an idea, Piggy Day Care! Only if I have a large enough space, I would start the service.

  • Wait until we get communal spaces and you can have piggy orphanages and day care centres, I'm sure. :)

  • Hog-tie them, leave them with a friend, and come back for them after.

As it is in real life she need to give the key (or a temporary one) aka password to her friend (who, I suppose, she trusts).
