Restricted sale of seasonal items in SDBs
Based on my own recent unpleasant experience, I have to suggest there be some (or more?) restriction on the sale of seasonal items in players' SDBs. Here's what happened:
- I entered a player tower and spotted a Lem Pumpkin. Having never seen one or experienced a Zilloween, I had no knowledge of the item other than my first impression and the encyclopedia entry.
- Being suitably impressed, I decided to buy the item. My own decorative Lem pumpkin: how delightful!
- Immediately upon purchase, I received a stack of roasted pepitas. Surely this must be some mistake!
- After sharing my new-found horror in live help, it was explained to me that this was a feature of this apparently seasonal item, and that there was no recourse available. My currants were gone, I had no pumpkin, and none of these facts were going to change.
So, to repeat, I'd suggest there be some restriction on the sale of seasonal items in SDBs. If it were common for SDB purchases to deliver unexpected (and subjectively worthless) items rather than the item they display, no rational person would buy from one.
