Jobynana

This skillset is impossible given the amount of time we've had to learn these skills. Does this person work for Tiny Speck?

  • Ah, all right. I was foremost worried that she/he abused a bug in the game.

With that out of the way, presumably then they've goofed in including her on the leaderboard?

  • I guess so -  don't know if "contributors" get excluded from leaderboards.

  • I'm appalled and disgusted that you would think Joby would cheat!!! she is one of the most kind and caring people I have had the pleasure of knowing for years!! Get your facts straight before posting, would have been a better idea.

  • What the hell? Calm down. It's standard procedure on any online game with a leaderboard to post about someone with an impossible lead.

  • Yeah, i thought crepeist handled it tactfully. Its nice that you know them but...

  • My first cat's name was Joby.  So I can't read that name without thinking it's my kitty's nan :3

(I was six, and there was a famous politician of the time called Joh Bjelke-Peterson. I thought his name was Joby Elkypeterson. I have something I wrote at the time where I explained my whole thought process - it's adorable XD)

  • This sort of thread is the reason I wish that in games like this there was a checkoff box somewhere I could tick to designate "Do not include me in any Leaderboard or Ranking listings." Put more simply, the "who cares? I sure don't" checkoff, so to speak.

  • You need only go to our about page to see who does and does not work for Tiny Speck. And as you *will* see if you visit that page now, Joby is indeed one of us, and we value her contributions immensely.

As part of our testing, staffers will be seen to be doing things that may or may not be possible within normal gameplay, and this is standard. We need to test all aspects of the game at all times (even the leader boards), and sometimes this will create the outward appearance of an unfair advantage for those not aware of our staff role.

That being said, we'd like it if these kinds of concerns were raised through the Help system here rather than in the forums, so they can be addressed promptly and effectively. If you're concerned about the behavior of a member of staff, this is also best raised through the appropriate channels. We take your reports very seriously.

  • As a pretty unskilled tester, I often check in chat or the forums to see if what I'm seeing or experiencing is a bug or is just something I don't know about.  I don't like to think I'd be wasting the devs' time on something dumb.  I don't think the Crepeist was trying to besmirch joby's reputation--probably just doing the same thing I do.

Thank you for the info, Blanky!

  • Just hope the devs don't cheat when the game comes out of Beta.
