Making money is easy in this game. The easiest way is to trade a rube a worthless item for a cubimal box, which you can then sell to a TOOL VENDOR. You can also mine rocks and sell those, venture around the ancestral lands to collect quoins and trigger traps, and collect super quoins (if you know where they are hidden).
P.S. Go for the 50k houses. 50k is not that difficult at all for the determined individual. After all, it only took Larky Lion one day to get that much. For me, it took two.
I must be very silly...because I am struggling to make money. LOL
I did not know about the tool vendors, so +1 for that advice!! :-)
I mine, but I don't have enough food to keep up my energy. I buy Earthshakers, but they are expensive, so the trade-off isn't worth it for the little amount of buffer time that you get.
I am obviously missing something! *duh*
I have been afraid to visit the Ancestral Lands due to Juju's and traps that I have heard about. I just have to repeat "it's just a game...it's just a game".
I have avoided death for almost a week now (since I started playing) and I would like to avoid it for a long time to come.
LOL Victoria. I do want to die...someday. I want to see Hell. But there is something in my brain that won't let me do it. I guess I have to work up to it.
Come die with me, let's die, let's die, I say
If you can use some exotic booze
There's a Cloudberry Daiquiri
Come on die with me,
we'll float down in the red
Die with me, float down to Hell
In Ix land there's a crab band
And he'll toot his flute for you
Die with me, we'll stomp those grapes it's true
Once I get you down where the air is red and on fire
We'll just stomp, starry-eyed
Once I get you down there I'll be holding you so very near
You might even hear a gang of chickens cheer just because we're together
Weather-wise it's such a hot, hot day
You just say those words we'll pick those spices down in Guillermo Gamera Way
It is perfect for a dying honeymoon, they do say
Come on and die with me, let's die, let's die, I say
Once I get you down where the air is red and on fire
We're gonna stomp absolutely starry-eyed
Once I get you down there I'll be holding you so very near
You might even hear a gang of chickens cheer just because we're together
Weather-wise it's such a groovy day
You just say those words we'll pick those spices down in Guillermo Gamera Way
It's perfect for a dying honeymoon, they do say
Come on die with me, let's die, let's die
Pack up your bags and let's get out of here
Come on let's die, I say
Could someone please share where the Tool Vendors can be found? I was checking out the wiki, but it looks like the Tool-Vendor page was removed. Thank you!!
Get Gardening 3, then harvest eggs from Egg plants. You can harvest each plant 2x per game day, 12 eggs each, which is quite enough to feed you for a while! And each harvest only costs 2 energy.
Use this strategy and you will never have to cook or buy food.
I made my money with animal kinship by milking butterflies in housing quarters, nibbling pigs and crab runs every day. In ~18 hours of play time I made enough currants to buy two of the 50k houses in Alakol (one for me and one for my wife).
can i really sell my body? moons and kisses ;] ahaha It seems like the easiest and less complicated.
(just kidding, unless i really can.)
What are rubes?
What happens when you die a lot? Other than squishing grapes and unhappiness.
Can you make good money with cooking?
haha im a newb, please dont hurt me! ;[
Rubes are mysterious, but stupid, salesmen who show up unexpectedly in any location. They make a special music when they enter a street and look like wooden tikis. They will only talk to you if you are the one whom they have come to look for.
If one talks to you, keep asking him for another offer until he suggests an incredible deal - a Fancy Pick for a bean, or a Cubimal for Sammich. He won't leave if you turn down his first, second, third or fourth offer, but you never know what is coming next, so if an offer strikes your fancy, grab it.
If you die a lot you get a badge.
You can make good money with cooking. But you need some serious cooking skills to do that. If you are a good piggy nibbler, however, you can buy buns for 9 currants at a groceries vendor and make sammiches with just the bun and the meat. I think they are worth 29 currents (less at resale to the vendors). You need a knife and board to make them, but I think it is just the first cooking skill. That recipe has one of the best returns for currents and energy around.
Once you have advanced mining, gardening or animal kinship skills money comes fast.
Walk the JuJu lands (Baqala, Choru, Xalanga, Zhambu) for free stuff to sell on auction. Activate spinach to walk faster than anyone else on the same street. Set one of these areas as a teleport point and return when you can fit it in.
I always try to sell on the auction site instead of to the tools vendors. Never sell to any non tools vendors. Hit up the crabs (http://zoggish.appspot.com/find-crab/#) once a game day for a little something extra.
If you were part of the beta play with your pickle until you get the gng music box and sell it on auction. Or negotiate to trade someone your pickle who was not in beta for lots of currants.
In glitch the more you give the more you get. Build up a friend network via gift economy methods. It is through friends that you get invited to parties and other fun events.
JumpUpHigh...I love the death song! That's epic. :-) And I love your username as well. Nice.
Thanks for all of the posts. I appreciate all of the help and suggestions.
I actually bought a 4K house in Groddle Heights yesterday morning and I have an egg tree planted in the dark patch...so it sounds like I'm going in a good direction. And I will stop buying drinks until I gain more mining skill. Thank you.
I found the tool vendors earlier today by using the location finder extension from Ping, so that was helpful. I'm starting to get all my ducks in a row now, I think. :-)
My new concern is I think I've learned too many skills for my level of learning...if you know what I mean. I have to get the Lem emblem so I can get the learning 3 skill before I can learn anything else. At least, that's the impression that I'm under. I don't really know what happens when you try to learn too much, so I'm just guessing.
I think by next week I will die. LOL I have to do it sometime!
And if all else fails...I will be starting a brothel over in Tallish Crest Quarter! :-p Hit me up!!
