beeeeeees!

we should have bees. (1) honey. I'm tired of this smelly-feet briney honey that we get nowadays :-P also (2) wax! which could have all kinds of uses. e.g. candles. wax + firefly?

  • Myself and a few other glitches were actually talking about this the other day! Only it involved honey badgers climbing a tree to get the honey for us! I like the idea of the introduction of bee's at any rate! +1

I've said it before and I'll say it again but in a game where we get milk from butterflies and grain from chickens, it would be seriously disappointing if we got honey from bees.

(and badgers don't work for me either - internet memes don't age well)

  • Yes yes and tripple yes.
Also I would like to have a random chance of being stung with a negative buff for a short while unless rubbed with some honey or something else to sooth the sting.
I don't think we have enough negative buffs in game.

  • Honey badgers aren't just a meme! >:O  en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honey...

    Moar Mustelidae always.

Though I'd settle for honey buzzards.

  • We should have CUCKOO BEES! And they will be drawn to dong-shaped objects, much like their idol, Kukubee.

  • Honeybush?  Honey ants?  Aphids?  Bears that you *squeeze*?

Or have flowers around Ur from which you collect Nectar, and YOU make the Honey.

It sounds like boots from salmon fishing give out honey, but that's a bit unreliable.

  • Stocking up on honey now, in case honey from bees is as tedious to get as salmon.

  • I like the nectar idea, and then maybe you'd 'age' the nectar the same way we do with cheese to get honey

  • I think that there should be a few more icy regions up north (it looks like there's plenty of room for more), then they should introduce polar bears that live on polar bear preserves, just like foxes. The park ranger would sell bear bait and honey sporks.

Catch a polar bear, get honey.

Sorry I'm extremely afraid of bees (little buggers should be removed from the world, and never added to UR). ... And yes so afraid that the little firefly hives freak me out. Every time.

I'm sure the wonderful creative team of TS could come up with some other idea for how to get honey from ... something, something other than bees.

  • Maybe honey doesn't have to be an animal product?  There could be a tropical mountain region that is always covered in fog and clouds... the honey comes from the vapour in the clouds, which condenses like dew in pools on the rocks.
