The location change would not be caused by the browser upgrade; and yes, sometimes the client "catches up" right as it processes the activity which appears as super speed action.
I'm having this same problem using Firefox. In addition, it seems Firefox's flash plugin will pitch a fit every ten or fifteen minutes and crash without warning.
I've yet to try it with any other browsers yet. I've got access to Opera and Internet Explorer - once the game comes back up, I'll try out Glitch on those and see if things go more smoothly.
I've switched over to the Debugger flash plugin linked at the top of the bug forum. Hopefully this'll help our devs find the problem and give it a solid kick to the curb. I recommend anyone else who's suffering from plugin crashes get the debugger too. Link below in case you missed it:
I'll get that debugger, for sure. I had it in earlier tests, then my hd crashed and I'd forgotten that I hadn't reinstalled it. I've been having the same things everyone's complained about. I haven't tried it on Chrome because everyone had said before that it wasn't optimal. And I often don't seem to be able to move through the world as quickly as other people, especially if there is a lot of activity in a particular location.
