I think you really need to contact TS. I'm glad you were able to get it resolved before, but I'm sure the staff will help you out, if there's a log of what you did or where it went :)
Assuming someone got onto your computer as it was in 'suspend', you'd have to think that they know what Glitch even is, let alone smart enough to take a GNG and nothing else. Just some more 2cents from me.
If you gave someone your password, TS wont be able to help you. It doesnt count as hacking if you gave out your information.
But, if you didnt give out your password, and a fellow glitch really did hack you (there are some pretty smart people in this world, after all) TS should be able to trace it back to who took it.
I'm the only one that has my password, that I know of. Still waiting for TS to respond. I got a message saying they couldn't replace it, and I replied saying that I just wanted to know where it went. Uhg.
"Unfortunately we cannot investigate exactly what happened to your item as too much time has passed since the initial report. However, to date we have not had any issues with GNGs disappearing without cause. Commonly when items go missing, they have accidentally fallen into cabinets, are accidentally dropped, or are taken by other players. Again, I'm sorry this has happened to you.
Bashere - they are worth way way way more than that. If you feel like being charitable, do feel free, but you should know that Klikini is majorly low-balling you.
I was just about to say the same thing @zoe! a GNG going for 50k is insane. If you're trying to be charitable and you have extras, that's fine. But keep in mind this situation sounds very fishy and normally TS is quick to help retrieve lost items. This time I think it sounds more like something less than innocent, in my honest opinion. Sorry :[
You did say, the last time you lost a GNG, that after that you'd put it in an sdb. If you can't keep track of your things, that would have been the best thing to do. Many players over the past year have lost items, dropped them, accidentally given them to other players, accidentally donated them (during a rook attack or not), even had them stolen from homes; these are all natural parts of gameplay. It's not the staff's job to pick up after you.
For the 50k, I've already explained: I'm not rich.
I know for a fact I didn't drop it or anything like that. I KNOW! It's just gone. Like a bug. Something similar happened when I lost most of the bags in my inventory a while ago, and TS replaced most of the items. That was a bug too.
The first time, it was my fault, and I'm glad that everyone was so nice and helpful.
This time, I have no idea what happened to it.
This is great! I should try it! Here goes: I'm not rich, so I'm going to offer you $48.16 for a Lear jet and a penthouse in Park Slope. WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT, IT'S ALL I HAVE.
The most interesting thing to me is how often this sort of thing works. It's a shame to prey on this community, which is generally so generous, but I guess that's a fact of life in any online group.
