Live Help needs a way to distinguish it.

Last night I was answering a question in Live Help, and then went back to playing, later, I saw a comment in chat, and responded, and started a conversation before I knew it, until someone pointed out that I was in the Live Help channel. OOPS!

It would be VERY helpful if the background of Live Help was colored differently or maybe had a bunch of lightly colored question marks or something to distinguish it visually from other communication channels.

  • I agree. I have talked in help by accident when I meant to talk in global chat and it was very embarrassing. Especially as its not nice to think you might have cut in on someone receiving help which can be confusing especially if they are new to the game. After I've used the Live Help Chat, I often don't close it as I get a lot of information from what others ask. However, it would be good if even the writing was in a different colour so that when you went to post, you would realise you were in Live Help and know to change tabs to the Global Chat. Of course, that in itself comes with difficulties because many coloured fonts are harder for people to read.

  • That would be quite nice

  • thepheebs just an improvement on the color idea...maybe it's a different color while you are typing it, but then goes back to black when you enter it into the coversation (if you do accidentally). Otherwise just a light colored background maybe?

  • I would prefer a light colored background over different colored text.Different colored text might be harder to read and or difficult to distinguish from normal text.

  • Another thing that might work is to pop up a little tooltip-like box when you enter text there mentioning that it's the Live Help channel. It shouldn't be intrusive, but just there to remind you. It should go away fairly quickly thereafter, and only come back if you start typing 5 minutes or so after the last time. That way people that respond for help don't get annoyed by it.
