A Higher Level of Interaction (mini-games)

I've discussed this idea with a few other players and all of them liked it so here goes. This is just the initial proposal:
A higher level of interaction, aka "mini-games," should be available when "making" things. This would also be good for Street Projects where a lot of players end up just sitting around watching completion bars fill.
The result of the player's performance in the mini-game would determine the type/amount of the reward. A good performance would yield a reward while a bad performance would yield a penalty.

The mini-games should be optional. If you just want to push a button and space out for 10 seconds that's fine. Because they are optional and hold a chance for higher returns they should cost more (1 more material for example) or have a high amount of risk for failure.

Reward/Penalty ideas:
- energy cost reduction/increase
- superior item / inferior item (ex. more or less uses possible)
- bonus items (ex. should only make 5 but you get 6)
- rare/random drops (ex. music blocks, a trip to hell, etc)

Anyhow this is just something I've been considering I look forward to hearing what the community thinks of this idea.

  • Like a race between who can make a certain amount during street builds? That would be kind of fun.

  • even a game of "pong" would make those street projects more enjoyable :D it really doesn't need to be very sophisticated....

  • I love this idea, I think it would be especially good for the more 'grindy' activities, like; Mining. Where, instead of just watching a progress bar and clicking occasionally, you would be able to directly influence the amount of rewards you get from the process.

  • How about a balancing game to keep in the zone during meditation?  It wouldn't do anything extra, since you would still be limited by how often you can meditate and how much energy you can get from it per day, but it would make it a bit more interesting than just sitting there and waiting for 15 seconds.

And and something like a one line game of Guitar Hero when using the knife and board for chopping; chop in the right times to limit damage to your materials and possibly trigger a 'Super Efficient' bonus, which would work exactly like a 'Super Harvest'.

  • All of ideas offered are good ones!
Anything that takes a long time, or is super repetitive, could use some variety.
