I ventured way, way out to Xalanga, and was *really* disappointed that:
- It's just the same selection of chickens & butterflies.
- It's the same trees.
So, basically, the background is different and that's it. There needs to be way, way, more variety in flora & fauna to make the game compelling in the long term. I spent a couple hours walking all the way out there to be "rewarded" by something interesting (new items, new fruits, new meat, new recipes based on that stuff, etc.) Anything that would motivate me to go back. I did the weird Ancient DNA questy thing (I had no idea what was going on) and that was a huge letdown. I got lots of great drinks by knocking over signs, and that's about it.
Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, Tigers, Baobab trees, cactus, grasslands, meercats, etc. All this stuff should be out there, and should yield new, valuable items/ingredients and knowledge that can be used/taken back to Groddle and some money could be made.
I'm not feeling the "Trading" vibe in Glitch. I can auction stuff, but that's not the same as having a selection of far away places where some items/supplies are bountiful, and others are scarce and valuable. I should be able to grow something "rare" in my back yard that's not possible to grow elsewhere, and then take these items to be given/donated/sold to other players.
