Lots of missing possibilities for Achievements

I was looking through the list of Achievements, trying to get ideas for mini-goals for next test run (Splanking? Sneezing?  Oh boy!).  Unless I was skimming too fast, there seem to be a few categories missing.

Why do pigs, chickens and butterflies get all the love and not barnacles, batterflies and fireflies (well except the whistle, which is a fun quest)?  Mollusks are people too!  Why no recognition of crystalmalizing or block-making efforts?  Since it's so hard to get into the street project leaderboards for the trophies, why not badges for simply participating in many projects, similar to the explorer-type achievements?  Every little bit counts.  Why do you get a reward for No-No, but not Purple?  On the very dark side, you are rewarded for starving yourself but not your pigs (maybe that's too easy).  Or on the other hand, promote social responsibility with a refueling trophy.

Anyway, I know that the good deed is its own reward, but I still love the feeling at the start of each day when it tells me that I had new achievements yesterday.  Thank you!

  • Great idea Mereret. It might be a bit more work for the devs (if they don't have stuff like this started, I have no idea) but it would also help those who are out of in-game quests and are looking for things to do.

  • Love this one. I agree with Gabi, achievements are a great alternative for quests - and I also love the sense of accomplishment every new day :}

  • I would like to see more "social" achievements, like the stalker badge. Not just the "talk to x players" and "add x players to your friends list", but things that actually require interaction.

    - Achievements for participating in conga's
    - A badge & trophy for leading a large conga

    - Achievements for visiting houses from players that are mutual friends
    - Achievements for having friends over at your house a certain amount of times (cumulative)
    - A badge & trophy for hosting a party/having a large amount of players in your house at a certain moment
    - Teleporting-related badges: follow-teleport the same player 3 times in a game day, be summoned x times or summon x players
    - "Generous Gifter" badges for giving valuable items to other players or "Scrooge" badges for giving worthless gifts like 1 red element.
    - Mail-related achievements: received x amounts of mail/express deliveries from individual players. Or a "Pen Pal" badge for exchanging x amount of messages with the same player.

And badges for silly things, like licking apples or smelling/tasting piggy plop.

Here's a totally different idea: badges or perhaps items that can only be earned when other players nominate you. There would be a button on your profile that other players can click once a real/game day to show their appreciation for... you showing them how to milk butterflies, leading a peat digging group, explaining piggy feeders, hosting a great party, etc. These votes should be anonymous and result in badges or an express delivery from Tiny Speck: "here's a fancy item that's hard/not to acquire in the game for being such a kind player".

  • No thanks to any idea in which you round up your friends to vote for you so you can get an award.  The possibility for abuse is too high.

  • I'm sure there will be more achievement badges created and added as the game continues to develop/evolve/grow,
but I hope none of them are based on popularity and require someone to be nominated for it
-sounds too much like politics *shudder*

Actually, I was thinking "high school", but it's all pretty much the same.
