Hello, for those of you that don't know me my name is Nerdcore, founder of the group WTF (Wood Trees Forever). I am a self-proclaimed advocator of wood trees everywhere. Today something very frightening happened, which has been something we all could have predicted long ago: the last wood tree in the wild was harvested and cleared. Many new people were affected by this in their quest to discover all the trees in the world, not to mention the psychological strain put on all the trees bred in captivity for the good of the species.
For this reason I have decided to embark on a quest I call Tree-pocalypse, or the reforestation of wood trees in place of some of the more common trees (bean/cherry). I'm just planning on sticking to a certain region rather than making it a world-wide thing. Bean and cherry trees have their place too, of course, which is why I'm planning on focusing on the Aranna area. It's out of the way, but hopefully it'll make a good home for the wood.
I'm not asking for donations; all of the wood beans/tree poison/water are bought with my own hard-earned currants and I'm fine with that. I'm not asking everyone to go out and do the footwork themselves, just hoping that if you run across a wood tree, even if you don't plan on harvesting it, just pet and water it. Everyone knows a mistreated wood will wilt. :/
Also I'd like to promote the education of others on wood trees. I believe that most people just don't know that if they harvest/clear the wood tree then that's it. They're used to all other trees growing back, especially the new players. If someone asks where to find wood, it doesn't take a lot of effort to kindly ask them to pleasure their wood before they take it. If you see a chop-happy Glitch, a kind reminder that wood trees are delicate creatures and asking them to leave some for the next Glitch isn't very hard either.
So if people wouldn't mind tending the wood trees in Aranna and maybe leaving a nice note next to trees every once in a while asking them to respect the wood it would be much appreciated! Thank you Glitchens!
