backyards and more space needed

Back again and being very nice.

I've kill off any number of trees with tree poison, trying to do the "7 potions in 7 hours" quest. Sometimes I have antidote sometimes I don't.

So as the tree dies and the pggies root around the roots for truffles ( hey where are the truffles ?) I get my guilt and take a lemonade from my inventory 'cause nother cuts the taste of guilt like lemonade.

So i have no tree in the backyard and the piggies are getting sunburned. When I pet them I get negative experience since it's cruel to pet a sunburnt pig.

More guilt, more lemonade.

Can I please expand by backyard sometime in the future?

Thanks and much guilt to you until you do, come by and we can sip lemonaid, if I have lemonaide and guilt.

Where's the backyard table with the umbrella, the BBQ grill ( piggies don't get hurt when they "donate" and they seem happy to fee on their meat or a friend.....and there's already Tangy BBQ sauce.

  • Hrm.  Try clicking on the little house-shaped brown sign by your back door.  Expand your backyard, and cultivate a patch in which to plant a tree.

    Happy Piggies.

    Cheers.

  • I'm with s100bus here. My fully expanded street is way bigger than I need while my fully expanded back yard is way too crowded. No idea what the possibilities will be once we have the real housing reset, but I'd sure like to be able to do a lot more with my back yard.

  • You know what would be really fun? s100bus and a Rorschach test.

  • In the future, we will be able to have more than one tree in the back yard.  But, there may be a limit to how much space we can have there, because our back yard is only half the space of the street that represents it and the house.

Though, I think for some of us, we'd be just as happy to sacrifice house space for more yard space.  I, for one, do not need a very big house (though I do have one right now).  Perhaps these things could be made more variable, adding up to the same total.

This is a thread better suited to the ideas forum, by the way.

  • You don't really need to expand the house sideways if you can add two stories.  At least not for functional reasons.

  • I agree with Hawkwell; I have no interest in having a large public street, but would love a larger garden behind the house.

  • +1 to Hawkwell and glum - moar bigger in back, don't really care about the front

  • Adding +1000 to Hawkwell, glum and Audaria!!

I'd rather do without extending "my street" if I could have lots more backyard space!

  • I agree with Hawkwell, glum, Audaria and sgjo.  I'd love to have private areas on both sides of the house.  I want an area where I can plant my trees and let my animals roam.  I want another area where I can have crops (produce, jellis, FFs, etc).  Never liked the pens.  Even though the piggies said they were happy there I never believed them!

  • What about people who want a larger front yard? I say that there should be a limit to how many times the front yard and back yard can be expanded COMBINED. Say, 30, for example. We could expand our front yards and backyards in any combination that is less than or equal to 30 expansions, to suit everyone's tastes. We could use all 30on our backyard, and our front yard really tiny. Or all 30 on our front yard, and have the back yard be the size of a sedan. Or any combination, so 12 on our front yard and 10 on our backyard.

  • Didn't stoot say that the real limiting factor in yard expansion had to do with the amount of imagination that it would take?   It sounded like each expansion 'costs' more, such that at some point it's beyond reasonable reach.

  • I also feel like the backyard is cramped, somehow, even though it seems big when I walk it, it's hard to place things such that you don't end up clicking on the thing next to the thing you meant to use.

The number of items you can place is fine maybe, but the placement of them is still too close together.  I don't want to have to hit enter > arrow over > enter every time I want to mine, you know?
