Stop depressing the market.

I've been selling SDBs for 2151 currants.  I feel like that's a reasonable fair price and if I price them very much higher they don't sell very well.

Eggman informed me that someone left me a message while I was out.   The message was asking me not to depress the market, ok?

What do I do now?

  • some of us do need currants!
i don't have a subscription or real time money to spend on this game that i enjoy playing. so i earn money by selling to tool vendors or putting stuff on auctions - then i can buy the furniture upgrades that are not available to to me any other way

  • Pancito there are far easier and faster ways to make money, gathering meat is a good example...sell to tool vendor.

    There are plenty of others.

  • If you aren't making money because the item you are selling is in a deflated price range then sell something else. I use ecurnomics.com to check the market before I sell - if I see that the specific item is a lot lower than it normally is I'll hold off on selling. It's pretty simple.

Yesterday the SDB market averaged 2251, today it's averaging about 5k - markets fluctuate. IT WILL BE ALRIGHT!

  • I only sell at auction when I am likely to turn a profit.  Some items fluctuate across the day and night, some peak or plummet on the weekends.  Some (attached to minor skills or with immediate utility) will almost always sell high.  The delivery delay and the three-day listing have flattened things out a bit, but with some of the auction trackers - or just by knowing what price you like, and looking to see how it compares to the current listings - it is still easy to figure out what is likely to sell well.

  • +1 to Derek Smalls, on the first page, for the following (paraphrased):
The only thing depressing me is my inability to line the darn things up.

    YES

  • Selling things cheaper works good for buyers, and if that's what you believe a fair price is as a seller, then by all means, post it your price. What other people think you should sell it at has no meaning whatsoever, considering the fact that it is YOUR product and YOUR auction. I, personally, when buying things from the market, go for the cheap stuff. And if nothing is cheap, I put it off a couple hours and go back to find it cheaper then. Or make it myself. *shrug*
