That's from the alpha trailer (0:15). I'm making up a story about it.
The giants were all discussing their newest project, when suddenly, Lem, having a bright idea, decided to think up a several pieces of paper (He also decided paper has to come from somewhere, so he created Paper trees. But I digress), and a Quill. He rapidly drew something on a piece of paper, and the other Giants leaned in to look, fascinated by what he was doing. They saw the quill move at surprising speed, forming a circle, then a square, then a torso, then a round head, then limbs...... soon, Lem was done. He proudly showed his creation to the other giants, insisting that their creation should look like that.
"There's too many arms," said Alph.
"There's not enough legs," argued Spriggan.
"It's head is too big!" "It's too small!"
Complaints flooded in. But Cosma, summoning every ounce of her mental powers, had caught all the suggestions, and was adding to the drawing Lem had done. The Giants stopped their arguing, and stared at the drawing in wonder.
"It's pretty good, though without tentacles," Said Lem.
"It looks.....right!" Exclaimed Spriggan.
"We shall call it the Glitch. This stays here, as a plan of what we WILL achieve!" Said Alph.
So, tis' the story of the creation of Glitch and the Vitruvian Glitch (Pot wanted the plan named the Potian Glitch, but the others agreed that it wasn't fair).
