Contest: Dress the Bitchin' Glitchen! Make friends and win fabulous prizes! Friends not included.

The official entry page. Please note that we now have a shibby official domain name! That means we are serious. Srs. ]

LOOK AT THIS DRAWING.
Now back to me. Now look at the drawing, now back to me. Sadly, that drawing is not me. Or maybe that's a good thing. In any case, this is the drawing that the excellent and most palatable Dartha drew of the elusive concept "The Bitchin' Glitchen." She is sassy. She is boobular. She is...naked.

We here at the Bitchin’ Glitchen, of course, fully support nudity in all its forms. However, we also heartily support fashion! So, while we agree that the theoretical Bitchin’ Glitchen probably gets naked at every party they go to, that means that they have to have been dressed in the first place! That’s where you come in.

We want you to take your amazing artspertise and invent her an outfit. It can be inspired by clothing available in the game, by blockbuster movies involving blue sparkly space cats, or just whatever you feel like drawing!

 Here’s how to enter:

1. Join The Bitchin’ Glitchen Group! You only have to do it once. It’s not painful. You’ll just feel a little tickle.
2. Save that picture up there, open it in your local paint program, and ART.
3. Upload your finished drawing (we recommend using imgur.com) and post it as a comment here, or on the official entry page!
4. Tell your friends! I mean, you don’t get anything extra for doing it. But it’s nice. And you’re a nice person, I can tell. I like your tie.

But I suck at drawing!
So? Since when has sucking at something ever stopped anyone? Did Bjork quit because she sucked at singing? Did Picasso quit because he sucked at painting? DID ABBY CADABRA QUIT BECAUSE SHE SUCKED AT WRITING?! NO! So what’s your excuse?

But I don’t have a good paint program.
So use a bad paint program. We don’t care about quality. We care about heart. If your drawing’s got heart (or cleavage, which is close enough), we’ll take it. Also, if you're looking for an excellent free art program, check out: http://pixlr.com/

What are you gonna do with all the drawings?
Good question! They definitely won’t be sold on the black market to fund anyone’s no-no habit. Nosiree. They will instead be put as a rotating header for the Bitchin’ Glitchen until further notice! That’s right – every entry will be displayed, regardless of winningness!

Well, wait. Then what do the winners get?
A sense of satisfaction for a job well done, of course. Oh, you want a prize, don’t you. Kids these days, honestly.

Fine. You get prizes, too:
1st Prize: Your choice of furniture upgrade worth up to 55 credits.
2nd prize: 40,000 currants.
3rd prize: A grab bag of prizes worth at least 10,000 currants!
Runners up: A warm fuzzy feeling in your tummy.

So what are you waiting for?
Get out there and ART.

  • Alternatives for art applications:

Free ones that I have personally used:
    www.getpaint.net/ - Paint.NET (Windows only)
www.gimp.org/downloads/ - The GNU Image Manipulation Program (Windows, Linux, Mac, Solaris, BSD)

alternativeto.net/software/... allows one to search for an alternative to a given program (in this case, GIMP), and sort by certain things, like platform, cost, licensing.
For those who might need an installable alternative, the above may help. Have fun. :)

  • Thanks so much for that, Xial! I personally use GIMP, and it's a powerful little program (albeit a little complicated for beginners).
