xbox, mostly. Used to play Guild Wars back in the day (I'd have preordered GW2 but I don't have a windows pc that could run it, I'm on a mac these days), and WoW for a while although it wasn't really for me.
Used to play citybuilders and rpgs back in the day, Deus Ex and Pharaoh were my favourite older games :)
Another non-gamer here, I only play Football Manager too (wherein I pretend to manage my beloved Tottenham Hotspur and guide them to Premier League glory). Not sure what the hell I'm actually doing here, to be honest :)
@ Molly Butters: I don't even know if Second Life can actually be considered a game.
Most likely one thing you really like that you would absolutely, positively shoot yourself in the foot if it came down to that or admitting you play it to people in real life lolol
I'm not playing games other then Glitch at the moment, but some of my favorites:
Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection (I used to create items/paths/buildings/scenery, etc as a fan) Civilization 2
Ys Eternal (for PC)
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (PS2)
Wild Arms 3 (PS2) Various casual games such as Phantasmat, Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, Chocolatier series, Delicious: Emily series, Mystery Age 2: Dark Priests, Gemini Lost and MANY more!
And of course, the now-extinct FaunaSphere (as Genkicoll and Genki-baba)
@Arabesque: I admire that. I got sucked into it on the 5th day of 2008. I don't play as often as I used to. Basically log in, stare at my doll, log out.
wii. do have my 3DS cause i have a animal raising game, ( yes, i really do have one, get over it.. )
i am also roaming for animal games to cure the piece that FS broke.. this game almost covered it!.
In the land of Old Skyrim!
Nah, I'm past that. I also used to play Guildwars. ATM it's Dark Souls on the Xbox but that's nothing serious. For serious, just waiting for the third major Kingdom Hearts.
To be honest, this game has turned me over to the cute and social world. It fits me better than the constant battle of other games. I now want to play Flower and Journey, games that one of our devs delivered to the world.
WoW
Portal & Portal 2 {still debating on getting a companion cube tat}
Plants Vs Zombies
the Harvest Moon series
the Virtual Villagers series
and lots of random time management games
Apart from Glitch I play a lot of iOS games mainly: Godville, JetpackJoyride, Tiny Tower and My Town 2. I don't really get a look in on the xBox or PS which is just as well as Id have no life whatsoever.
omg Journey, I've played it on my sister's PS3. It's pretty relaxing and nice not having to talk to anyone other than communicate via a musical note : )
Is anybody else writing down new games from this discussion that they want to try? (Raises hand) It was a bummer to hear about Faunasphere -- it shut down right about the time I heard about it. Never got to play. Well, there's always something new coming.
Various games on the 360 and Steam (RPGs and FPSs), World of Warcraft (Warcraft too), Starcraft, Minecraft AND SOON, DIABLO 3! OH YEAH! Occasionally I'll play Runescape (I get random urges to play around the Holidays each year), and a couple of RTS games on the iPhone and iPad whenever I'm bored n_n
I've been a 6 year WoW player (Boomkin ftw) and have been in SWTOR since 1 week after launch. That being said, Glitch is such a refreshing breath of fresh Lancre air :D Collaboration, cooperation, building, growing, farming, creating: Ah, Glitch, where have you been all my misspent video game life (hence life)?
All the Myst games, though I haven't checked in at the online game for awhile. Plus a lot of ancient stuff, mostly interactive fiction ... not heavily involved with that online community either these days, since getting sucked into Ur ...
I've been playing on my PC a lot, as you can see. It's not that I don't have consoles or console games... I do. A good amount. But I've finished most of them, and there's not much to do for me anymore unless they have some really great exploration opportunities. And there are other games I do want, but they're just so expensive.
Though I did play Mass Effect 3 on the 360 recently. But the house doesn't speak of that anymore... Well, at least till summer.
I regularly played Puzzle Pirates in the mid 2000s, but now I just play Glitch. Once school's out, I'll probably play some Lego games on the Xbox, but probably just more Glitch.
@dm
Oh, Puzzle Pirates? I remember that. I played it back when it was still subscriber-only, I was playing a free trial. It was all right. I like Three Rings's Spiral Knights better. But my connection's unreliable so I can't play it much...
I've been a gamer since I was little, so I'm not gonna make a list of stuff I've played. :P Currently I'm working on Arkham City on 360, and waiting for the next GW2 beta weekend. I played Botanicula recently, and cannot recommend it enough; it's adorable.
