The Spirit of Glitch (this feeling of wonder...)

Hey everyone -- I've been thinking, just as a way of grieving I guess, and as a way to remember how much joy there is in life -  I'd love to know what else besides Glitch gives everyone feelings of wonder, discovery, cheeky enjoyment, like there's a little bit of magic in the world.

Let's all share the things in life that make us feel the way we feel when we play Glitch...

For me it has always been the Muppets - cheeky, clever, sweet but not saccharine .  Always positive and optimistic.  The original Muppet Movie has been my favorite since I was a kid (Even the quote on my profile page is a Gonzo quote).

I also love exploring park trails and hiking - I can imagine I'm in another time when I all I see around me are trees and water and afternoon sunlight.

How about you?

  • I can't tell you how many times I've been in a landscape under a moody sky and exclaimed, "This looks like Alakol!" Some of the game locations are such natural extentions/reflections/improvements (?) upon the real world that it has at times been hard to separate the two in my mind. It's wondrous to feel mixed up in two worlds that greatly compliment each other (Ur and Earth).

I have loved the firebog most of all. Much of my game time in the last few months (when not stocking my tower/shop) has been wandering around Shimla Mirch, my favorite region. I lived there for a long time before the housing change (in three separate houses over time), and am still in love with its moody mysteriousness. I love these places and memories, and hope I never forget the wonderful landscapes and moods in Glitch.

  • My trip to England filled me with wonder. Traveling anywhere I've not been usually does. England moreso than any other place I've been yet. Unfortunately it's too expensive to do very much.
