An icon to show Martial Imagination Skill

Well, maybe not an icon, but it would be really nice if players who have the skill Martial Imagination would be visibly recognizable in the defensive team that forms during a rook attack, distinct from those who don't have it, (passersby who want to help, etc.), maybe a flag that appears near their head or something during a rook attack. It would help to clarify who the possible initiators of a stun attack are within the group, which could in turn help with coordinating back-to-back defensive actions. I have MI, but I'm never quite sure who does or doesn't and who is going to initiate when.

  • Some kind of indicator as to who knows MI during a rook attack would be beneficial, as well as a way to spot that person a little easier would help.

A flag would be helpful, and perhaps a second delay with a small animation that lets people know, "Hey, this Glitch here is about to focus her orb. Maybe I should not do the same thing at the same time."
Perhaps having a Glitch that is preparing to focus jump up about one head from the ground and float there while the orb is being charged would make them a little more visible, and bring their name out of the name goop when multiple Glitchen all gather around to fight off the rook would be a good idea.

(Being able to isolate a name would help for people who might not have the skills to help, but have Random Kindness on them to bestow its benefits on those who help defend and protect Ur from its avian nemesis, as well!)

  • I know MI but have found it to be rather useless, as during each Rook attack there are 3 or 4 people trying to use martial imagination at once, when you only really need one. There's not much to coordinate when there are so many 5th wheels in the group.

  • A simple way of doing this is to change the color of the name of a Glitch with Martial Imagination whenever that Glitch enters a Rook Attack area. Purple?

  • Xial, good point about RK. it's easy in the confusion and mood after a fight to miss being healed, then have to spend a 10-15 minutes rebuilding the mood lost during.

That's the whole point Shepherd. If we could identify who is and isn't, then maybe some cooperation could result in a more efficient "battle plan". As it is, people stand there for several seconds (at least I do) wondering if we're going to step on someone else's toes or just waste our time firing it up. Inevitably, several do, and I think that's because of a lack of informed cooperation. I share your frustration, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's "useless". Far from it when used right.

And then there's the issue if identifying those who are not MI enabled. it helps with that to, for managing their assistance (since they can do nothing without the MI initiators)

Great idea Mal'akh. Very simple and effective. Something bright and distinct, whatever color it is. Personally I don't care what color is chosen as long as it's effective.

  • I don't have MI, but I like the idea of those Glitches bring recognized for their service during a rook attack. Maybe a different color name? A slight glow?

In the meantime, coordinating through local chat seems to work decently well.
