Dear TS: I’ve come up with a few thoughts/ideas/suggestions while running through Glitch. Maybe other people think similarly. Here’s my list. The first few are my preferred ones, the last few are the less priority ones.
Butler/Mailbox:
--Messages from butler to show up in mailbox or in IM (especially when it’s messages about having packages or when fewer than 3-4 people visit home street)
--Mailboxes should keep a record of messages sent (sometimes I think I didn’t send a message or sent a message to the wrong person, confirmation on senders end would put me at ease). Give sender a warning (the first time?) that a message with an attachment can take more time to be received).
--Moody, brooding butlers. Maybe butlers don’t always have to be happy (option to have them always be happy if some want that). Change mood of butler randomly or because of someone or something. It doesn’t have to happen often but now and again would bring butler some variety.
--Notify when butler has given away all your street gifts. Or have butler say, as you pass by that he’s got “3 awesome stew left” (that could be spammy, so maybe only if you ask).
--Have bigger stacks of certain items specifically for butlers. I find that some higher value items make nice presents but replenishing after every one, limits me to giving only occasional nice freebies.
Home street/Tower Stuff:
--Option to see tower location on home street when the street loads or place arrow at the bottom where street sign is (like the Nudgery arrows/lines at the bottom of the screen).
--Mention towers in resources on street when loading a home street.
--Ability to close towers, even if for short periods/intervals (this would give a little extra time to restock, drop freebie additions for those who like to prepare before opening). This could also allow time for sellers to price everything before opening up (or have a feature that allows “activation of all pricing in sdb’s”) but this is a more minor feature.
UR/Home Streets:
This has brought a lot of …discussion and I know it’s hard to come up with something that will please everyone. But here it is. A little bit of my bit.
--Only allow keyholders/owner to cut down wood trees (no reason why patches or badges have to be done in home streets when they could be done in Ur). Also, all the other trees are protected from this.
--Give owner the choice to allow or disallow planting on empty patches. This is also less priority because I don’t see how it’s all going to work out for people to all be pleased about all this. I won’t even mention other resources that cause….discussion, regarding home street resources.
UR stuff:
--Having the option to hide the mini- map at top right hand corner of the screen (I’ve missed many quoins because of this :S ) Same thing happens at home for blocking of vision (zooming in and out can be a pain at times).
--Give warnings when using some potions (like the tree changing potion) such as: Are you sure you want to…
--Get new AL types of lands. Maybe some places can only be visited during certain months or days or alternating Mab days :D ( I have tried going to AL at many different times during the game day/rl day but still find too much traffic at times). Also, with population increase, there will be more traffic. This is also low priority. I assume doing something like this could take a lot of time and we do have a few options for freebies.
Stacks and other stuff:
--Tp scripts to the same location to be stackable would be nice :D
--Ability to write more than one tp script at a time (I sell and/or give away tp scripts but after doing less than ten scripts for one location, I tend to give up making/restocking them)
--Other nice stackables (can’t think of much atm) : Potions, Powders (even if stacking 2 I wouldn’t mind)
Well, I hope that made some sense and wasn’t too complaining. I love this game and the people in it (ok, I don’t love some things and some people but still, it’s a darn good feeling to be able to be part of Glitch). I’ve only been in Glitch since last November but I enjoy so much of it because of how hard TS work to improve and make things more interesting/cool/pretty and even useful :D. So, thanks a ton for that.
