How will Glitch scale geographically?
Assuming streets continue to get built out to support an expanding population, what will compel me to go to a new region that is 10 or 20 subway stops away to get the same resources that are available 3 stops away? Sure, you may have an attraction like a tower or another castle, but beyond that one-off visit, why will I go back more than once or twice?
This leads me to think that geographic segmentation will start to be more pronounced. My question is - will the segmentaion happen willy-nilly, or will it be imposed by some sort of structure?
I like the idea of competing economies and, dare I say, competing 'governmental' styles (*gasp*). I know the words govermnent/economy/rule/order strike fear/loathing in to most, but...it is a logical next step.
('stop me if you think that you've heard this one before'...or...sorry if this dead horse has been beaten).
Thoughts?
