There's an amazing app called iSwifter which you can purchase from the AppStore for 4.99 USD. It's not free, but it's totally worth it. Aside from Glitch, it enables you to play other flash based media, e.g. other games and movies.
Does iSwifter itself work over cellular data or is it wi-fi only?
I use an app called Rover that uses the iSwifter platform/protocol/whateveryoucallit,and I believe I got it for free. It's laggy and sometimes crashy, though.
theres another app on there, and darn me for forgetting, for free. For now, theres also an app called CloudBrowse for only 99 cents. if u wanna save, though it skips my mind if you can download stuff on it, i know for a fact, that if you use the Internet Explorer you can f5 to play, and i know u can download adobe, just im unsure.
I saw on the app it had subscription charges, I already subscribed to glitch, I don't want to have to pay on my iPad for flash content, although I can see why because it looks like their servers have to stream the content to you.
Your welcome everyone. yeah i know that buying it maybe a cost but it one time 4.99. and the best that i know that works.the others i heard that were free didnt work and keep crashing .
I use a remote desktop app called Logmein. You'll have to have a computer connected to the internet that you can leave on (or Wake-on-LAN) though. I use the free version, no ads but lower data stream than the pro version (meaning less frames per second, you won't be able to watch any quality video with the free version). But it works fine for doing most things in Glitch. And it has the benefit of controlling your computer.
Yes. i do what Ghaurok does. i also added apple tv, bluetooth keyboard and mouse and now i can play glitch 1080p on a 40+ inch. I enjoy the fact i can still use chrome as my browser, all my bookmarks, and access to my desktop if needed.
@Ameh: There's Photon, which I use but isn't compatible with your 2nd gen iPod touch. An app store search took me to Cloud Browse as another option. May want to see if that's compatible. I actually might try that too, to see if it's any less laggy than Photon.
Great news, I had to finish a badge before testing. But rover the free web app works. It's a bit jolty at times but it means I can use the iPad on wifi when I'm on holiday so that my piggies don't die. Great for menial home tasks, but very difficult to jump correctly with a touch of lag. Still amazing for a free app though.
I've used iSwifter, Puffin, and Photon. All of them work, but jumping is problematic in all of them. Based solely on my own experiences on an iPad 3, Photon is fastest and Puffin is the slowest (considerable speed difference).
If you just want your Glitch fix while away from your home or work machine, it's a viable option for chatting, auctions, inventory management, and harvesting your yard/street. It gets much harder once you start traveling around Ur and trying to play as normal.
