[not a bug] Bureaucratic Hall - Can't See Someone in Bldg.

Date/Time:  Thursday, July 28, 2011 / Approx. 12:50 a.m. PDT –

Repro Steps -----------
Teleported to Adanac to meet someone to give them a bag since I couldn't mail it.  Dropped the bag on the ground and she picked it up.  She then asked about how to get papers so I told her to set Gregarious Grange as a destination on her map and I’d meet her there. I used the sign posts to get to Gregarious Grange from Adanac.
Travel Path
: Adanac > Blue Mountain Bore > Meadow’s Edge > Estevan Hummock > Gregarious Grange.
Once there, we walk towards the Bureaucratic Hall but first stop outside the subway entrance in Gregarious Grange.  She enters the subway briefly and comes back out.  We continue on to the Bureaucratic Hall and enter the building.

Expected Behavior -----------------
Expected that we would be able to see each other once inside the building.

Actual Behavior ---------------
Once inside the Bureaucratic Hall, we can't see each other but I can still communicate with her via IM but notice she is not responding.
I exit the building and re-enter but still can’t see her.
I mouse over her name on my friend’s list and it says she’s inside the building even though I can’t see her.
When she finally responds in IM, she says that her IM wouldn’t let her respond for awhile.
When we exit the Bureaucratic Hall, we can see each other again.

  • The bureaucratic hall is an instance, probably to avoid crowding. I discovered this when I tried to meet up with a friend, and I asked kevbob or Jade about it. You'll see another person or two occasionally, but idk if the grouping within instances is predictable.

  • Ahhh, thanks for the info, Millie!  We wondered if it was an instance when that happened last night.  The very first time I went to the Bureaucratic Hall, I could see my friend, so didn't expect that to happen last night.  Really helpful FYI, so thanks again!
