Missing livestock!

About 2 weeks ago I lost all my piggies in my garden, and today all my butterflies were gone. Is this normal?

  • Sadly, our wonderful animals do not live forever.  But the butterflies should have left behind milk or eggs.  The piggies should have left a pile of meat.  If not, file a missing piggy report using the in-game bug mechanism.

  • I answered your question before :)

Well, did yo feed the pigs everyday? Or leave food on the ground? Did you always pet them?

Singing to butterflies helps them stay alive for longer. They will still have a short lifespan.

  • Lately, my butterflies are dying much quicker than they ever did. I am not doing anything differently. Does anyone know the average lifespan? The ones outside my house, just on our street, have been going for weeks and the ones in my yard seem to be very, very short-lived.

  • I agree that the lifespan of butterflies now seems much shorter, at least in my garden. Somebody said this happened if the Milk Collectors harvested them too often. I am experimenting with having only one Milk Collector for my butterflies, even though I have to keep two Meat Collectors for the same number of pigs.

  • The animals only have so many interactions in their little lives. So a housing street where butterflies are probably not milked often, they will live longer. The farm life with a milk collector is a tough one on them, but if you sing to them they will live longer (but costs some good energy). Me, I just replace them with new animals with the same names... working toward those badges. :)
