Hey there! I figured I should sit down and actually put together my thoughts into a forum topic, so that perhaps some of my ideas or suggestions will be worked into the game.
First off, even on high-end computers, there's a bit of blurring as your character is walking around the screen; normally, it's not that bad, but when you're trying to test even though you're as sick as a dog, it's enough to send your brain into spasms even worse than the ones you get from eating too many snowcones.
That being said, the art style of the game is MAGNIFICENT. This does NOT look like anything I've ever played before, and that's saying a good thing. So many games use a recycled art style from each other, it's not funny. The art style in Glitch is... out of this world. I like the little touches here and there, including the bureaucratic lizard wasting time on Farmville...
Now, as for the written text in the game... you may want to give folks the option of having the text stay on screen longer, or perhaps be logged to a text file. The writing in the game is something that I haven't seen since the Kingdom of Loathing, and then this just might be better. The crazy emails were great too, although I was sad when the headers on them started to repeat...
Overall game performance was great on my PC; I only had one "crash" that didn't even knock me out of the game, and was totally my fault. Things do get bogged down when there's tons of glitches, butterflies, and chickens all over the place at the same time, but nothing nearly as bad as I've seen elsewhere.
The control interface works well; you may want to allow customized key setups, including mapping a key to cancel other than the escape key; on some keyboards, it's dangerously close to stuff you don't want to hit.
The skill system was well done; you may want to give either a time bonus to skill learning while playing, or a penalty while not in the world... and a harsh penalty if you do put those in to someone who AFKs to get the bonus or avoid the penalty.
With all the insanity in the game, I welcome an upcoming wipe so I can experience it again from the start... but at the same time, I'm not feeling encouraged to experiment much more now, because I dread doing some of it again.
