Easier map navigation

I've got 2 ideas:

- When we set a destination, show a: "areas/maps/regions left to reach destination" text to know if its far away.

- The possibility to know where our friends are and to go to them by setting a destination on them.

  • You can already do the second bit, though it would be nice to have a quicker way to do it.

For future reference, click your friend, select info (top right of the menu, not in the list with the other verbs), and that will give you a dialogue with your friend's avatar picture, name, home address, and current location.  Then click current location and choose set as destination.

But yeah, even typing that out was painful, would be nice to have a quicker method.

  • There's an MMO called EVE Online, where it has the same setup as Glitch. One server, but streets are star systems and street signs are called star gates.

When you set autopilot to another system in that game, it has x amount of jumps (jumps is when you move through a star gate) remaining near the GPS. I'd love this feature in Glitch.

  • Haha :D, that is exactly why I made this tread/topic!!, because I played Eve Online for some time (too expensive for me at the moment).

It couldn't be too hard to make it the same as in Eve Online...
