  • Will potential candidates be expected to battle to the death?

  • I have all of the stated requirements, will participate in battles to the death if necessary.

  • If there are two equally qualified potential candidates, I may be able to arrange that... but most likely one person will stand out and glitchen won't need to bring any fancy swords.

  • I satisfy the requirements including botany, have a home located in Marypole Mount and I am interested in any way to get an edge over the other Glitchen. This includes my full support of the aforementioned death batles.

  • Traditionally job applications tell you what the job is doing, just sayin'

  • SacredBob, If my gardening strategy is a success, I'll make a post in the forums so that others may try it also. Until then it is an experiment, and I need one other player to help. That player will be told everything they need to know before the job so they can decline the position at any time. Also, this is glitch- If it were the real world, we'd all be paying taxes!

  • I'm very interested in hearing the results of this experiment!

  • This reads entirely like a scam, but I'd give you the benefit of the doubt if I qualified ;)

  • I'm not qualified, but can donate seeds or whatever, you know: for Science!  All in exchange for  1 ticket to above death battle.

  • I would meet the requirements except my schedule is no longer reliable xP I am on erratically due to a vacation :P I'd love to participate in a few days, though I doubt the position shall remain.

  • Sincerest apologies for my lateness of reply, due to unforseen circumstances I have not been able to access the internet AT ALL today, and was not able to get back to this thread at the time I promised. I will try to contact qualified applicants online ASAP.

  • You're supposed to mention something about unfortunately due to the high amount of responses yadda yadda incredible quality of the applications put forward blah blah but we will be keeping your name in the hopes that another position becomes available etcetera etcetera.

  • As the lucky person selected to be Vermilion's business partner, I must inform you all that the job is not, in fact, a scam, and I am being paid exactly what the advertisement states. :]

  • Special thanks to Effigy for agreeing to be my business partner, and for tolerating my lateness and laggy-ness. To those who were not selected, don't be sad! After an unspecified time of capitalizing, Effigy and I will go public with our special gardening operation, and *everyone* will be able to form similar operations. Cheers!

  • I'm guessing wood trees.

I have one wood tree which I keep at max health using fertilidust lite so I can harvest 120 planks each game day. I've been stockpiling them to contribute to a future street project.

I hadn't thought of using them as a moneymaking scheme!

  • @geekybird -- No need to guess about the scheme.  This is Effigy's house: www.glitch.com/realty/LA923... It has 5 wood trees.  So you're right, but no guessing involved.

  • An interesting proposition to sell a bunch of wood but at this point in glitch, I don't know what the point of cash acquisition is.  I've got more than I can spend and considering the amount of energy available, if I wanted to make money, there are less complicated ways of doing it.

However with 10 trees harvested twice a day for 120 that's 2400 planks.  Going auction rate is 3.9.  So 9360c per day.

The more interesting thing is that adding people grows the business exponentially.  3 people give 15 trees harvested 3 times a day = 21060

    10 people involved gives 234,000.

I just don't see the payback unless I'm missing out on the value of a currant.

I've thought about similar ideas involving the meat market (which is currently a lot higher than the wood market) and pigs are more readily available.  But ultimately, what's the point?
