Stronger versions of kitchen tools

OK, so now that the kitchen tools (or at least most of them) wear out much faster, it's time to ask about tougher versions. Instead of creating new versions of all the tools, how about just a craftable upgrade that works with any tool to increase its durability?

I imagine a new Tinkertool verb that would add an adjective to the name of any tool and double its wear units. For example, the verb might be "Soup Up" and after application to a tool, that tool's name would change ("Souped Up Awesome Pot"), its wear units would double and it could not be able to be upgraded again.

There could be a new icon for upgraded tools or not. The adjective might be different for every tool as well.

    Maybe a MOAR Awesome Pot?
    A SUPER famous pugilist grill?
A tricked out cocktail shaker with, I dunno, a dragon's head dispenser?

  • There's an upgrade card that does this already.

  • That upgrade card would still apply to the improved tools.  /shrug

I do think it's a good idea for when new players come back.  Most of my goals in my early days were about getting the more expensive tools.

  • @EE Cummings Now the kitchen tools have many fewer wear units than they used to so cooking has fallen into the "constantly breaking tools" state that gardening is in. (And yes, I have the wear-reducing upgrades already.)

  • +1 Definitely a good idea. I posted awhile ago that I thought it would be cool to be able to upgrade all tools in various different ways to tailor them to what your play style is, but even just this is a step in the right direction. I'd just like to see some more variety in tools in general, I feel like there is whole skill set for repairing and eventually building them and it could go alot further. Maybe you could even make mass-quantity producing versions of various tools, maybe even to where (And I say this with hesitance as I'm not a minecraft fan, but it is similar to minecraft) a system where you could have production lines for food or various things, to where, for example, you'd have an entire production line composed of multiple machines that would connect to eachother and process all the ingredients into say an expensive grilled cheese, or another item with multiple stages to it. That was long-winded. It was almost even more long-winded.
