Common Cubimals/Cubimal Commons

Probably for a limited time only (you know how these things tend to evaporate): an art installation at Kottima Cast reflecting on the fleeting rewards of acquisition and the beauty of the familiar. (And the jargon of the art world. :D )

Thanks to dear friend Lyell for co-creating with me.

  • The most evocative representative art I have ever seen that describes the plight of the common cubimal is completely organic.   A toy vendor, and below it a few chicks, pigs and butterflies scattered about.   Opened, once, with anticipation and desire only to be thrown down and abandoned for no greater transgression than to be who and what they are.   A still life that says so much about them, and about us.

  • ...and that's why I take all my Cubimals home and snuggle them and put them on my bed until I can find a good place to release them. I've kind of been hoarding my commons until we get more newbies.

(Yeah, I guess I can be a little over-sentimental at times. Why do you ask?)
