"Permissions" and Third-Party API Web Pages

I have 'given permission' to several of the nice third-party pages people put up that use the Glitch API extensions, to do things like Inventory Summaries, resource searches, etc.

Each time, I am presented with a checkoff box for that particular page, which apparently comes from the official Glitch server.

Is there a control panel somewhere within the official Game Site to review which sites I have given approval to, and a way to rescind that approval? I haven't dug around much, but it would feel good to have a summary available of what 'rights' to my account I have delegated, so that I can remove those 'rights' for pages I was just checking out and don't use.

  • Try this

You can find it on your account page, bottom down:

View the applications you have authorized for use with Glitch's API.

I'd like to point out that for all of my apps, I do not cache this information.  In fact, I never see it.

Your browser talks to the glitch servers and does all the calculations and display in your browser window - there is literally no point in the process where my server has access to any of your data.  It's all done in your browser.

This is not the case for all other apps, however.  I can only speak for mine.

You can feel free to revoke the access that you've given my app, but it doesn't really do anything.  My apps always ask for authorization when you load them, since you destroy any authorization information they had when you close the browser window.

Since some apps can request write access to your account, I'd be careful what you click on and leave authorization for.  At this point they can only do things like change your active learning skill and put things up for auction, but I'm paranoid and I always assume they could be harmful :)
