Subscription talk! (non-question kind)

Want to talk about subscriptions, without it being a question? (if you have questions, direct them here) Here's a place to talk. TALKING. :D

Let's start with a question. Are you buying a subscription? If so, what tier? If not, why not? Are you mad about subscriptions? Happy they exist?

  • Happy they exist, not sure if I am buying yet.

I want to try the tokens first.

  • I jumped off and bought that top tier.  I had previously purchased a ridiculous amount of credits so I got a good discount.  I had intended to buy the second tier but the discount was good enough that I went for the whole works and then I went shopping in the wardrobe - LOL!

  • From what I have seen and enjoyed so far, I'm prepared to take the next step and subscribe. The level has to be determined by the greatest value and obviously that has to be top tier.

  • I took the plunge with top tier under the same scenario as brib. Value is great. I enjoy the wardrobe features enough to pay for credits, but I am chomping at the bit for votes (and for housewares).

  • I "took the plunge" also, feeling that the top tier was most generous.  I am hoping that subscribing is a vote of confidence in Stoot and all of Tiny Speck.  What I considered most was the amount of money I have spent on other games, say Portal 2 for example, the year of Glitch, with it's exciting possibilities was too good to pass up :D  Looking forward with great anticipation to the coming months of play!  Thanks for a super fun game that requires thinking and planning, without violence, but with such great tongue in cheek humor!

  • Well...to me I want no less than top tier, but it's a bit much for me to spend in one chunk.  I wish they would do it differently and allow for the different subscription types monthly in the three tiers.

  • I'm still debating, I have the clothes I like and my hair and eyes were subscription btu they are easily changeable.

Not that I don't think it's an awesome game, I am just a broke student.

  • I bought the top tier subscription because I have great faith in Tiny Speck continuing to put out a quality product and I think all of us that play should support them as best we can. That being said I also think that because I am paying at the top tier I should have game perks available to me that are not available to non-paying or even lesser paying players.  I am looking forward to see what come down the "pipe" next . I am very impressed by the talent here so far.

  • I have my fingers crossed for a new job that will take me out of "severely below poverty line" to "hey poverty line, i'm gaining on you!"... and, me having my priorities nice and straight i will get a subscription. Most likely the mid-level one.

  • Truth be told I haven't checked out the subscriptions yet.  If any of you have seen my avatar you'll know that wardrobe isn't a top priority. lol. I'm glad the DEVs have said that we'll be able to use them for customizing our homes.  Now that I'd get a subscription for!  I'm holding off at present because I was burned by an MMOG in the past. I can't agree with you Zev.  I think the only dividing line between paid and free accts should be that paid accts should be able to buy special items -- at whatever level they subscribe to.

  • Wow, the devs better appreciate all this free market research we're giving them. :P

I'm going to get the Molybdenum subscription in beta, once my dank summer internship checks start arriving, since it's the best value and subscriptions are discounted during beta. Once that runs out, I'll probably play it by ear. My guess is I'll get the copper one.
