Post-Launch Animal Tweaks

Now that there are so many more players in the game, there are a couple of tweaks which should be made to animals.

1. Butterfly lifespan should be increased to accommodate hundreds of new players milking them.
2. Chickens need to be less flighty! With dozens of people on some streets running around, it's almost impossible to keep chickens on the ground long enough to squeeze them 5 times.

  • It's seemed to me, ever since the reset, that the butterflies are tending to stay flying at extreme heights (spinach or levitation high), for very long stretches of time.  Sometimes they will be off the top of the screen after you massage them in a normal Groddle Meadow environment.  This, along with the fact that the butterfly icons have disappeared, is making them REALLY annoying to work with.  I don't know how they're getting milked to death when they are so hard to catch now, but the game balance for them is really crappy now.

  • I also have noticed a severe lack of lepidopteral population.  I will second Sid's call for removing the 4 - year lifespan on the Nexus-6 Butterfly...

  • Something definitely needs to be done about butterfly lifespan. Just a day after launch, several of the butterflies I hatched and released in Groddle Meadow yesterday have already died. Butterflies should last at least a week, not just a day.

  • I found several streets where the butterflies are flying at knee level.  Almost too tame to catch.

As more players gain the skills, there will be an equal amount of new butterflies introduced by the new players.  I doubt that there's anything really wrong that won't right itself after some of us level up a bit more.

  • Now you can squeeze chickens while they fly. Not a bug but a feature. (I asked in Live Help.)
