Snow land... what about Space(Moon)?

Rocket to space... new place to explore.. would be fun?

Maybe charge a steep 10,000 Currants for the space flight.. (Scheduled trips.. see *)
(This would be a good excuse for the 'super rich' to waste Currants)
Have an oxygen mask for maybe 1,000 Currants.

items available/things to do:
Space Lab (opens up more learning skills)
Mining Meteorites
Machine to purchase space food (yes.. those boxed food)
*Space Party

  • Love it.

Scattered through out the forums are ideas that might play with the physics of the world (zero or low gravity, under the water/swimming, etc.). Still have no idea if that is possible or not.

  • I'd be happy if I could just levitate:) Spent 8+ hours learning the skill but have yet to actually do it successfully:)  'course it took me a loooooooooong time to jump and climb without falling on my ass, so I haven't given up! hahahaha

  • I like this idea, Aero!

I'd also like to see a more developed snow land...arctic mountains would ROCK. Igloo-style homes? :). Wintry Place is cute but...a whole couple regions of snowy would rock. Though would we lose energy every time? That would kinda suck.

Underwater and truly tropical beach areas would also be neat. Oh and more total fantasy worlds like Ix (mayhaps Keita will be doing some of this:).

These folks are so creative, I am sure much of this is in the works. One of the backstory things said that the world as it is now is only a "fraction" of the world. So that speaks well to mad crazy future lands:)

  • Love this idea!

@Rascalmom We wouldn't have to lose energy if we had 'knitching' (: We could get all sorts of winter clothing through that!

If the giants develop stronger personalities, we could have more whimsical regions, based on the imaginations of individual giants!

  • Rachel - yeah several people have been bemused by the levitation skill... it really needs better in-game explanation. The trick is to select levitation on your Orb then, until the effect wears off (which is only about 5 seconds), you can repeatedly hammer the space bar and keep going higher and higher. It's a worthwhile skill... saves you carrying lots of spinach around and you're rather more maneuverable.

And I LOVE the idea of streets/regions with different gravity.

  • Would be badass. Makes me think of 2001.

  • @ Snazzlefrazz:: Thx for tips and encouragement. Mastering levitating is my next personal quest:)

  • maybe, you would require that skill to get to the stars from the moon.. lol

  • Maybe, since the moon is in the heavens, you could learn a little about some of the gods there? Alph? Gods related to the sky? Mathematics, physics?

  • Also, the moon goes from very hot to very cold... Very bright to very dark...

  • any new addons to this idea?

  • I'd like an arctic/polar region.   Someplace without roads and houses.   A real wilderness.   When I played secondlife I was really disappointed in the obsession with houses, clothes, and general consumer culture.  And everything was tropical.  It got boring fast.

A wilderness is a bit advanced I suppose, and would likely require lots of new and different skills.  I'd like it to function in the way that aboriginal cultures functioned in the arctic and not in the way that the explorers functioned.

  • An arctic region would be very interesting. It would open the way for new resources such as snow. Dig for the snow resource, use the snow to make new drinks (slushies), food (ice cream!) or as coolant for future machines. You could even eat the snow by itself to get a frosty buff (turn self into an ice cube for limited duration).

New animals are harder to imagine, as Tiny Speck traditionally goes full ridiculous  with the animal/resource pairings.  I spit out my drink laughing the first time I hugged a chicken for grain.

  • They really should introduce new animal types if they implement a space or artic region. Also, clothing options that allow your glitch to remain in a space/artic level without losing energy should be available.

Plus I think animals should get frozen if you incubate them in an artic region. Or the game shouldn't allow you to drop them there in the first place.

  • I love this idea too!

In snow regions, we could have special animals that can live only here... like penguins! Or cute white bears...
It may be the natural evolution if you incubate an egg in these regions... They naturally grow up as a different animal to adapt themselves to the cold.

(and penguins could be so cute...)

  • Hmmm... interesting idea. Eggs hatched in space or in the artic yielding a different form of animal?

  • I like the idea of non-arctic animals freezing if brought  to the region. You could also have arctic animals melt if brought outside to warmer areas, or space animals get sick from Ur bacteria.  That would be a way to keep it dramatically different. I have wracked my brain for what animals would be in the zones but I get stuck on making them fit into this world of imagination.  The best I could come up with is a seal. You interact with it by playing cards (deal), and for a resource it gives you fish (Go fish!).

Clothing options to be in the zone without energy loss does not seem like a great idea to me. The point of the wardrobe is to look how ever you want at all times. The choice between looking how you want versus having mandatory clothing to experience the zones seems like a negative game experience.

The zones could be designed like the ancestral lands. Special zones you can visit but for a limited duration each day. You can be limited by oxygen running out (space zone) or by frostbite due to prolonged exposure (arctic) which forces you to leave. There could even be St. Bernard type NPCs that give out air or hot coco to keep you going a little longer.

The things I think about during my commute. Anywhere else I would sound crazy.

  • There could be drinks or food that give an arctic buff- which would work if, say, the buff is long enough to make a difference (helping avoid having to drink or eat something every two minutes) or the loss of energy is slow enough that it won't kill you if you go without for a period of time. This is assuming that a polar zone isn't like the ancestral lands and you can travel through them for as long as you want- which would be necessary if people planned on living there/gathering resources/etc.
