I recently posted in a thread about icons, saying that they were more about devotion than an exchange of goods and services. Boy, was I wrong! I got an icon of Mab, installed it in my house, got all oblatey with my arrow/enter buttons and supplicated all up in dah house...only to be met with a terse demand for a tithe in order to keep the whole process going!
"occasional" tithe, as it was vaguely described by stoot, my aRRRse! That thing hoovers up my currants on a daily basis; I feel really bad for the really observant among us, with multiple icons all making little sucking sounds every time they get passed in the hall.
And now that we are really on the subject, whatever happened to an annual tithe? And since it happened to be an icon to Mab, can I just say these two words: tithe pig. Delivered to your nearest shrine of the same name, the tithe pig would shut up your icon and keep the daily proffered RRRewards flowing for a solid Glitch year!
Now that is some devotion I could get behind.
