Yep. So just don't teleport more than 5 times per 4 hours. It encourages people to actually walk around more or use the subways. Those 5 teleports plus my set ones I can use unlimited times are enough to last me through most game days so I barely ever use the subways or walk more than 6 streets.
If it was just energy cost I wouldn't have posted this. I'm talking about teleportation tokens. You only get a few free ones then you have to buy them with credits, which cost money. I'm not talking about the destinations you set.
Those aren't tokens. Tokens are what you use after you use those 3 (5 with tele 5) and yes those non-token ones reset each game day.
edit: The above is Not talking about the set points, but the map teleports where you pick the destination each time.
Anyone else notice teleports take more energy as you use them at the same skill level? At least they seem to be increasing. Right now (at Teleport skill level 3) it take 144 energy to teleport with each of my 3 points. It was 136 earlier, and earlier than that less. I've been T3 for awhile now, so I don't believe I'm imagining this increase. Is it tied to my avatar's level?
Ok so that's what I'm saying, you get those 3 destinations you set, but as far as teleporting anywhere you would think max level would at least allow you some sort of recharge on the freedom of token teleporting.
You get 5 teleports to anywhere on the map for simply the cost of your Glitch's energy, every game day (which is every 4 hours). If you use all 5 within 4 hours, you have to wait until the next game day to get 5 new teleports, if you don't want to buy tokens.
Zephlar, I think you should read the wiki entries on Teleportation, every skill level adds a little more. There's a difference between the teleportation point set at the Magic Rock, map teleports using energy and map teleports using tokens.
I am doing the below mostly for myself and to see if I can remember correctly...
At TP5, you get:
- Lower energy cost (based on max energy)
- Fast cool down
- 5 "map teleports" which cost energy
- 3 set locations that cost energy but you can use as many times as you want (except for cool down)
- The ability to make TP scripts... which take work but basically allows you to TP anywhere (you can use tokens or just energy)
Plus the already token jumps, 5 a day, which, yes, cost real world money - either bought for credits or as allowances for subscriptions.
