No matter what amount of jumping I manage to do, triple or otherwise, they always get me when I turn around back toward them. They also quickly become faster than me (even with maxed out walk speed upgrades). The only theory I have at all is spinach. My best so far, ever, was 13 seconds.
i did a bit over 100 seconds with the help of hairball. basically running back and forth along a home street and jumping lots too. i heard toxic moon works well too. its really hard to re-imbibe hairball while running tho :)
Pretty sure that when I did it, the hi's were slowed down for some reason -- maybe just lag, or maybe the devs were tweaking things. I was definitely able to outrun them by quite a bit, more than I could before or since.
I got 470 seconds and evaded 4 of them at the same time. You just have to keep moving! I never used spinach or hairball.... I just kept running and jumping! Even if I ran right towards the HI, if I kept running, it wouldn't catch me.
(I ran around in Frysta Virki, if that makes a difference)
It seems that some days they are faster than you can walk, and some days they are slower. I have no idea when or why. I just know when I first attempted the badge, the 'hi' signs always zoomed in real fast, regardless of hairball or spinach use. The day I finally did receive the badge, I could easily outrun them just normally, and jump over them without getting caught. EDDIE might be right, they could still be tweaking them.
1. Drink - Hairball, run and get a head of the Hi.
2. Double click your spinach very fast and jump over the Hi
3. Run to the other end of the street you will fly for awhile then land on your feet.
4. Keep an eye on your spinach meter. When it runs out quickly double click spinach again.
5. Jump over top of the Hi again. Run to the other side of the street
6. Rinse and repeat for over 300 sec.
It does take a bit of practice to get started but once you get the hang of it you should be making a nice figure 8 pattern in the sky.
I was never able to just run away from them, they were way to fast. I'm not sure how others claimed to accomplish this. Perhaps you can run faster on different ground types.
