Ability to set multiple destinations on a map route

Sometimes I want to set a specific route to wander through Ur (usually because I want to gather specific supplies or I'm trying to update my locations visited, etc).  It would be nice if we could have the option to set multiple destinations on a map route either because I want to visit specific streets (where certain resources or vendors are, or locations I've not visited yet) or to avoid specific ones (for example, the center streets in Chakra which I have challenges with all the jumping, etc). I'm sure we'd need to have a limited number of destination points...say maybe 3-4 max...and then let the standard auto-routing take over for between the points.  It would be really helpful instead of having to open/close the map multiple times to build out short segments of travel.

  • Nice idea. We could even have a 'navigator' skill which allows you to use the multiple destination routing.

  • Oh, such a good idea! Sometimes I want to get somewhere but I need to hit a specific vendor or shrine. Multiple destinations would be perfect.

  • yes. I would love waypoints.

  • This would be lovely. Perhaps you could gain more waypoints as you advance in levels/skill/whatever, like you earn more Teleportation abilities as you learn more in the skill.

  • Definitely agree - especially when trying to stop by a shrine or vendor.

  • We could tie this into the general desire to be able to route via subways and currently-ignored shortcuts (eg locked doors between regions).

    eg
"Navigator I" allows you to route with 1 intermediate point
"Navigator II" allows you to route with 1 intermediate point plus the use of the subway
"Navigator III" allows you to route with 2 intermediate points plus the use of the subway
"Navigator IV" allows you to route with 2 intermediate points plus the subway and short-cuts
"Navigator V" allows you to route with 3 intermediate points plus the subway and short-cuts

  • I envision something like the way google maps works. You get a route from A to B, and then drag your path to include/exclude certain roads along the way.

  • I think everyone should be able to do the 1-point one seeing as noobs are the most lost. I kinda like using the subway as an extra but shortcuts? Where are those?

    Zany's idea is cool too

  • since 'navigation' skills do nothing that you can't already do just 97% as quickly manually, they would be the most useless skills in the game and thus a complete drag on the skill tree.

each skill you learn makes each subsequent skill take longer to learn, and it would be almost impossible to justify wasting a skill slot on navigation, which wouldn't even integrate with teleportation.

generally speaking it should *never* require skills to unlock an improved UI. the UI itself should feel easy to use and powerful no matter what skill level you are at.
