webforum idea : enable voting in post replys

20 answers it's difficult to sort it out.

my sugestion would be to enable voting in the replys and then have the ability to sort by date or most voted,
oh and be able to follow up answer - answering to answers.

  • voting is problematic coz it rewards ideas from people with the most friends they can tweet and ask to vote for their idea, and punishes ideas from people who might have a good idea but not many pals.

  • I also kinda think our role as alpha testers is not to design the game per se. As regards this sort of thing, it's to suggest ideas. (It's not a democracy!)

I think voting could tend to squelch some voices, when really, it's better to get more suggestions. (I fear there might already be a little of that effect here on the boards, where there's a little bit a sense of an in-crowd that could make some players hesitant to post.)

  • “The public doesn’t know what it wants," is a well-worn business axiom.

  • I didn´t saw it that way, but you could be right.
But being able to follow up answer - answering to answers, might organize things a bit.
