I have 5,939 currants left. I didn't exactly make the best choices with my money. Bought alot of unnecessary things so i should have much much more but eh whata ya gonna do.
17,602 currants at the moment. i try to spend all the money i have at all times. currants sitting dormant slow progress. of course if you are saving for a house a big ticket item, then yeah, hold onto em.
7,846 Thinking about buying a different house, but at the moment I am quite happy with my nest. I also like to keep a few high priced gems on hand to either sell for emergency cash or gain a lot of favor with giants.
I have a couple thousand after buying an apartment, bags, cooking appliances and tools. I spend so much on food and drink, I find it really hard to build up currents.
Currants are pretty easy to come by if you focus on mining from the start. I started by buying a fancy pick and some cabbages to eat, by the time you need other tools and bags you'll be easily able to afford them.
Completing quests also give you nice cash rewards.
11k.... and I managed to re-purchase the 10k house I had before the reset.. but still need more bags and tools.
I'm sure a few people think I have a pile more with all the auctions i was running, but (a) i was just buying from the vendors and reselling (slim markup) cause otherwise the auctions were looking bare and people were always asking for food and drinks, and (b) most of my mining efforts went towards donating not making bank.
also, another hint: don't be afraid to sell things back to vendors when you're done. Low tinkering skill can use a TON of energy tor things like mining picks. a vendor will give you quite a bit for a used pick so you can sell a used one & buy a new one for less than food costs to recoup that energy!
I have 2,429 but I bought an apt. and tons of tools. Wish I had saved for a Shimla Mirch house but am glad for the storage, the tree and the teleport landing spot it provides!
9500 currants. The max I had this test was 23k, but I like to give people stuff, and spend frivolously.
If you guys are wondering how en had so many currants, it's from leveling up. I'm only 24 to his 37, and already I get more currants from leveling up than I know what to do with. The higher the level, the more currants you earn.
5,551 and that's after buying a couple small auction items after game shut down. I had trouble getting currants too earlier...but I see what Aldaris means with the higher levels and currants. I bought a 2,500 house today and also lost nearly 2k on a failed sno cone run (grrrrr, didn't see until I'd eaten them one by one that you had to have all five at ONCE because most stuff for quests with food, you can just eat as you make)...and still have 5,500ish because of more currants for goals the higher you go.
P.S. Zaphod, whoever you are, are you named after the Hitchhiker's Guide character? Cause if so you and I must friend up...in the Faunasphere game I had 38 animals, each named for something in those books. And um, if not, then ignore this message...return to your regularly scheduled programming ;)
wow i didn't know you couldn't eat the snow cones but truthfully it wasn't till that mission that i realized you lost one nrg point every second so i didn't think i needed the nrg boost
Haha, I have just under 1000. I've only played twice, & get very confoozed. I finally caught on that I could sell the rocks I mine, so good for that. I bought the wrong pick at first, but sold it back to a vendor for a *big* loss. Bought a case & tool I wont need for awhile yet. Did I say I was confused? LOL. Its sure going to be awhile before I can afford a house.
I have 240 currants, had a mix up with my house buying adventures lol, mining is my saviour, and piggy nibbling for food, confused yes, but so enjoying this, hoping I get to keep my dream house for now, hence will hopefully have more currants to save, unless . . . Fruitcake anyone?
I think I'm lowest with 175 :) I bought a 10,000 house in Shimla Mirch, and hosted a party there that cost a lot. I went on one mining spree that got me 2 diamonds, 2 ambers, a sapphire, a ruby, and a moonstone, but after that I pretty much stopped getting gems.
I have almost 1500. a mid level house and all but the large pot for cooking. Been seeing how long it would take to be able to make some of the good food stuff... LONG time. Also, the mines were pretty crowded most of the time. Became hard to even find rocks to mine.
I have 2,449 at the moment, with a house, most tools, three big bags, etc. and nearing level 14. I missed most of yesterday, and didn't get home in time to set another skill in motion before the test closed, but hopefully we'll have another test soon. This one seemed to go well, and I experienced so little lag that I actually had a lot of fun.
I have $1,473. I bought a home in Shimla Mirch which I absolutely adore, however, I was enjoying the cash crops from a garden prior to reset , which helped me to accrue about $160k. I don't think Shimla Mirch should have a standard garden, however, maybe we could grow mushrooms and catch salmon in a stream. But that's for ideas forum.
597 currants, but then I do have house and blew quite a bit on bigger bags and a tool box, and odd bits of gear. Forward planning I guess. I can always find something to spend it on!
