Name of a new 3rd-party Glitch tools site

Anyone have any fun suggestions for the name of a new tools site? Currently I have the rather unimaginative glitchtools, and would love a better moniker.

  • What kinds of tools? And no, a gay pun was NOT intended that time.

  • First one will be a better "nearest feature to me" searcher, and then probably a skill queue framework and possibly other things.

  • Ahh, those. I wasn't sure if you were making a site dedicated to the tools used in Glitch (e.g. the Tinkertool, etc). Hmmm...

PimpMyGlitch, lmao. Gimme a sec and I'll think of others.

    ETA: GlitchPlus. (e.g. Glitch+Tools, Glitch+ queuer, etc.)

  • Or GlitchStitch, a new way to fix up Glitch.com to make it your own.

  • I think I like glitchplus :-) I also picked up tinkertool.org if someone comes up with a good use for it.

  • Heh, that sounds more like a news thing, maybe?

  • Hitching post, glitching post? Maybe more of a place for young glitches to hook up. :)

  • Cerulean, I love PimpMyGlitch!  ROFL! :-)

  • Lol, you might be thinking of Glitchington Post, the number 1 liberal news source for Glitchen.

    I like Glitching Post.

Another suggestion is a AGlitchInTime, though that doesn't seem so relative to the purpose of the site.

  • Son of a Glitch.

  • Okay, I am weak to rhymes and puns. I will knock that off. :)

What about choosing a favorite area or street or term and then building off of that. For instance, let's say you love Firebogs (like me! I love the firebogs!). You could think of a name that had to do with firebogs or things or streets in firebogs.

But you've mentioned you might make something for skill queue, tool box, finding things.... is there a giant associated with the things you are considering? Or what about the Magic Rock?

  • I tried stuff about the magic rock, but everything interesting is taken and "familiar" is too generic to be available. magicro.ck is available, but would cost many thousands of dollars so I think its a bit out of my budget :-)

  • For the giants, grendaline.com is available, but the others are all taken.

  • At this point I guess I'm just buying up interesting Glitch-related domains, both emobear.com and focusingorb.com are available but I can't really think of a use for them.

  • Well, the API is still pretty limited. You can read info about a character and participate in the auctions, but that's it so far. I hope they expand it some. Some kind of off/online communication would be great.

  • @Fokian A bunch of new API calls have gone up recently and Bees! has been very responsive about adding new ones. Chat is much more complex since it isn't just a REST API, so I wouldn't expect that before launch certainly (maybe later if they feel like building an XMPP bridge or I go back and finish my protocol analysis).

  • @coderange - I was thinking more of a post office feature than a live chat feature.
