Food for the poor and food for the new

I started play this not that long ago, actually 7 hours ago and when I started playing lots of glitchies gave me random gifts, money and even tips on how to play the game then I found a person who would cook food and and sell it and give the cash to the poor or the new he did this with help from kind people. So thats what Im going to do.

I will pay you (either with cash or a gift), if you want to help but don't have the time just donate seed, cash, gifts, animals plants cubimals anything.

This is like a charity shop so donate, donate, donate.

Please come to 3329 Prestnash Thrash Quarter.

Thanx guys for your contribution

  • Food - and money - is actually really easy to come by in the game.  A glitch with even moderate gardening skills can harvest bubbles for an hour or two, sell them at auction and have enough money to buy most things, including plenty of food.

  • There aren't really any 'poor' in glitch.

This isn't a game about scraping by.  And as was said, it's trivial to work for a short bit and have an abundance of stuff.  We can pretend in a self congratulatory fashion that we're helping one another, if we wish, however.

"That is so kind of you!"  etc. etc.  Ya see it every day here.

  • Well, just to be devil's advocate here, (or would that be Rook's advocate in Glitchian, I wonder?)

Anyway, let's not forget that there are Glitches with serious no-no addictions, and worse, serious cubimal-buying addictions.

There are those who gave all their currants and goods away thinking that the giants were going to land on an appointed date and spirit them away to another world.

There are the Glitches who mine. And mine. And mine. And who are constantly on the brink of starvation and death halfway through the day because, ooh, another sparkly just popped up.

There are those that don't have too much time to spend ingame because of this strange thing called "real life", and so they're still pretty low-level and have to expend a lot of energy on even simple tasks.

There are those haven't quite mastered the skills yet needed to keep the currants flowing.

Or maybe there are Glitches who rely on the kindness of strangers because they think they're in a Tennessee Williams play.

And there are Glitches who are keeping the utopian dream of philanthropy alive because it feels good, whether others are in need or not.

Or maybe a mixture, or all, or none whatsoever of the above.

Who knows? Just thought I'd stick my oar in for the other side of the argument for absolutely no reason.

  • Those Glitchen who have been around a while might be forgetful how quickly a lower-level player can run out of energy. You'd only have to do a couple of actions and be near death. It takes a bit of time to get enough skills to have a decent amount of energy to do things with. I remember getting help from other players when I was a young 'un and I appreciated it greatly. Not only did it help keep me going, it made me feel welcomed and that I belonged.

You keep doing what you're doing, Capital Z. It's a good thing. :D

  • Good deeds are never in vain.

    Plus what Molly Bloom said.

  • Philanthropy isn't a utopian dream.  There would be no need for philanthropy in Utopia.

And Glitch is pretty close to Utopia.

Keep on keepin' on, whatever you choose to do.  You're doing it for yourself, even if just to make yourself feel good.  Don't kid yourself.
