Minor nomenclature gripe ...

Really. Quite minor. Nothing to see here.

I love your auction pages. They automatically sort price for me, the categorization is good, the various "back" options are intelligent, and it shows me what the current price is for other items of that type when I'm trying to sell it - brilliant! I just have one problem ...

It's not an auction. There is nothing auction-y about it. You don't/can't bid on anything. It's a place where players buy and sell stuff. It should be called "Marketplace" or something like that.

[Understand - I don't MISS auctions. I'm not asking for auctions. I've played a lot of MMOs with auction houses and I hate bidding on things, I just want to either buy it or not buy it. I'm strictly griping about the name here!]

  • I agree that it should be called a market. Changing it to function more like a proper market would be a good next step. I hate auction systems in general, just because every MMO does them doesn't mean your MMO also needs to. You can make it into a real market, with real market features.

  • I'll be honest—the first time I went to the auctions, I was really hesitant to buy (I was looking for my Papers). I thought I'd have to bid for the item and wait a day and I could NOT figure out why everyone was advocating the auctions. I didn't want to wait to finish quests!

    So yes. Please rename!
