"overwhelming ancestral nostalgia" + Street projects = painful!

I'm trying to help with a street build in Xalanga. The area isn't exactly highly populated.

Due to this ancestral nostalgia phenomena, a glitch is only given about ten minutes to work on the street.

I think it's just me and one or two other guys working on this street.

I really don't know where I'm going with this, except to say that it seems like a futile effort.

  • It'll happen though! It has in the past :)

And … we're almost done with these projects. It'll be neat in the end.

  • Thanks Stoot!  I get a bit of a kick out of these projects.  I was ROTF when a Juju attacked me under the project window.  I so wanted that paper - Lol!

  • I love the nostalgia projects! It spread the love around, especially for those who can't contribute to the usual ones. Plus the time limit challenge added a new dimension.

  • Yeah I like them too. They're slower paced than the regular ones and even if one person can't contribute as high of a percentage individually, it's not like there are trophy pieces on the line :)

  • I kinda like 'em, and kinda hate 'em. However, I was FOURTH contributor on my most recent one... maybe someday my dream of having my name on a street will come true! (And then I'll get trophy pieces on the other projects 'cos I've earned 'em, not because folks feel sorry for me and give me their leftovers, lol)

  • I like the nostalgia projects too.  I just wish that the Ju Jus weren't able to attack while we're donating.  I can't even see the text about them sneaking up when I'm donating. :)

  • I like these street projects too, they're much less crowded and devoid of lag.

  • @Marla, you can move the contribution window so you can see what's going on! Just grab it like any other window and shove it out of the way.

  • I like to stop and work on these projects.  They are not too complicated but you will get "kicked out" usually before the end.  I can see that most of the streets have been completed in these areas and I look forward to "It'll be neat in the end".

  • @Jennyanydots - I was the #1 contributor on a street project and I didn't get credit for it anyway - at least not yet: http://beta.glitch.com/forum/bugs/4889/.  And I'm not the only one - there are a bunch of uncredited streets in the nostalgia lands.
