Inducing Vomiting

We've all 'accidentally' eaten 250 Spice, drank 17 Earthshakers, or fed a pig every Onion that we have. It might be due to lag, or rushing through actions...

Whatever it may be, it's an innocent enough mistake.

Should we be punished for our mistakes? Maybe just a little.

I would like to suggest we have the option to 'Induce Vomiting'. When activated, we get back, let's say, 80% of our accidental indulgence/pig present, and lose a % of mood.

I think this would make all us feel a little better about our inability to pay attention to detail, even if it leaves a bad aftertaste buff for a while.

  • Amen. I just bought the 5th alchemical tongs this week (the giants are doing REALLY well). Being a spaz, I definitely need the ctrl-z key option :)

  • If I can heimlich maneuver up the 2000 allspice I accidentally fed to my piggy, I am all for this!

  • Eeeew! + hilarious + useful = must have it. This would make a great potion - so we could feed it to pigs and batterflies. It's no worse than picking seeds from plops & filling our pockets with guano.

  • I'd be totally down puking up stuff, even getting back like 30% is better than nothing, and yeah, taking a mood hit is totally okay with me (as well as re-losing that energy I just consumed, plus more energy beyond that) - perhaps only able to be used on the last item stack though (so if you eat 250 planks AND 250 allspice, you can only puke up the most recent thing)

  • Hey, glitchen have very poor food hygiene. We've all eaten beans someone sneezed out of their nose, and we've definitely all picked up food off the floor to eat at a party. I'm for it.

  • I wouldn't describe it that way. I also wouldn't suggest that they come up with a trophy for most items hurled. It's not a high-reward activity. Unlike ... drinking too much, taking drugs, dying, kissing strangers with garlic breath, hitting people with planks and killing trees :D As long as it's not encouraged with badges and barf quests, we probably wouldn't be exposed to it too much.

Or is recreational vomiting a thing? I'm so out of touch.

  • and if you induce vomiting, you don't get all of them back, maybe only 75%.... you know... the ones that haven't started to digest.

  • Uh, no. I don't want to see that, and if I do see that I'm going to stop playing the game. 'nuff said.

  • Yes. Yes yes yes.  But maybe not too graphic, for the people who are opposed to vomiting.  Maybe more of a juicy belch.

  • maybe have the animation just be something like the glitch turning green(er) and covering its mouth to avoid the gross factor being too high? lol

  • Ew but yes please! If people don't want to do it they don't have to, maybe having it be something you could only do at home so those "sensitive" don't have a reason to whine.

  • I suggest 5 minutes of hiccups.

Totally non-gross and could be funny  =)

  • I think this is a great idea. It could even be a bit like sneezing. Just say ;Oh, I feel sick' and then whatever it was appears on the ground in front of you, maybe one at a time. That could work for pigs and stuff too since everything talks anyway. It wouldn't be gross and it would be very useful.

  • Good idea, and particularly handy when accidentally feeding 100 meats to a batterfly.

  • I think using vomiting as the means is not a good idea—it's just way too negative a connotation, for all sorts of reasons.

I rather like the hiccup suggestion. (There's sort of a precedent with bean-sneezing.)

  • Or why not just plop like a pig does after you feed it crops. There's already piggy plop so why not Glitchen plop.
