These skills are based on the seven deadly sins concept. While they shouldn't directly mention the common terms in the game, I am including them here for reference, and as a note to the inspiration. Each skill gives a bonus to one or more actions, but it also comes with a down-side.
They should be fairly easy to learn, and while they count against your total number of skills learned, they do not get lengthened by training in too many skills. Also, each skill taken reduces the amount of favor given when donating to shrines. Levels in these skills could increase the chance of a rook attack, slightly, and reviving Rook affected plants and animals has a chance of failure.
Piggy Banking (Greed) - Currant quoins are worth more, but other quoins give less.
Reaping (Wrath) - Whenever you harvest something from a living creature, you get an extra amount, but you either shorten its life (animals), or have a chance of poisoning it (trees).
Hedonism (Lust) - Mood quoins and being kissed give more Mood, but other quoins give less.
Stillness (Sloth) - While you are standing still, you do not lose energy. When you are active, you lost energy at a slightly higher rate.
Confidence (Pride) - XP quoins give more XP, but other types of quoins give less.
Digestion (Gluttony) - You get more energy from food, but less from meditation, and you start the day at 90% of your maximum energy.
