Shameless newb question.

I've been playing this game for like two weeks or so and my tools have never been worn out before. recently, my pick reached it's 100/100 limit so I figured that I should buy a new one. but the new one also has 100/100 wear? this confuses me, and trust me, I've searched everywhere for the answer to this question: what is tool wear and how do you deal with it?

  • Grab the tinkering skill and repair your tool yourself :)

  • Each time you use a tool, it wears out a little bit.  The bar under the tool shows you how close it is to wearing out.

Any player with a tinkering skill can repair your tools for you.  Or, you can learn tinkering yourself and repair your own tools

  • 100/100 means it is brand new.  0/100 means that it is broken.  As you use the tool, the number will go down towards 0 from 100.

  • 100/100 is new (i.e. you have 100 units of possible wear, out of a total of 100 available).

Use the pick a few times and you'll see that drop (ex. 65/100); the tool 'breaks' when it hits 0/100 and you need to repair it (or ask another Glitchen to do it for you, if you haven't learned tinkering).

  • Wow, derp, I got my fancy pick and my regular pick confused. My regular pick was fine, it was my fancy pick that was out of uses haha

  • Find someone (like me) in game who has tinkering skill, and we'll fix it up for you. Like new!
