I love the firebogs. I think they are beautiful and I love to wander around in them. However, I noticed there isn't a lot to do or interact with or get.
When I go mining I can easily fill up multiple bags with rock and jewels in just an hour or two. I spent two hours in the firebogs yesterday and didn't even fill up one bag and I interacted with almost everything.
I noticed that the barnacles and whatnot don't give the same level of "prizes" (jewels) one would get mining... so I started to think about what we could get from interacting there and what else could be there to interact with. Here are my thoughts....
Extras from the firebogs
Since we get jewels from mining, it would be cool if we could get something equally precious from the items in the bogs
- Pearls
- Ivory
- Gold leaf
- India ink
Animals
Frogs or Toads
Give glue (think sticky frog tongue) If you pinch them, they give you warts (minus mood)
Interaction: Leap over? Pat? Flip? (You flipped a frog!)
Feed: honey (because they can then catch more flies with honey) or fruit
Silk worms or spiders
Give silk or string
Interaction: pet a spider or kiss a silk worm
(Not appropriate for a firebog, but I would love to see)
Sheep or alpaca or woolly mammoths (could be called Wooly Mammals)
Give wool
Interaction: Comb or stroke; Flatter (but then they would run away -- alpacas are shy)
Because alpacas are so shy, you would need to be very very still and they would have to approach you
And then, things I would like to make:
- Lanterns -- from fireflies and bubbles
- Twinklelights -- from fireflies and spider silk and frog glue
- Weathervanes -- from giant emblems, ingots and frog glue
- Scarecrows -- from wheat and spider silk and carrots (for noses?)
- Whiskey -- from peat moss and grain (maybe this is already hooch?)
- Paper bags -- from paper and frog glue (it would be cool if they were brown paper bags)
- Flower headbands -- from herbs and spider silk and frog glue
- Jewelry -- make necklace from giant emblems or bog pearls, etc
- Windchimes -- from giant emblems, spider silk, frog glue
- Hammocks -- from spider silk and corn husks
- Welcome mats -- from corn (husks), spidersilk, frog glue
- Door wreaths -- herbs, wheat, silk, glue
- Blankets (from wooly mammal wool)
- Clothes
-- knit a toque from spider silk
-- paperbag dress
-- paper pirate hat
-- wool coat
Maybe you could make these things with a Super Crafter machine. :)
Hope it's okay I put all of this in one idea thread. Thanks for making Glitch so awesome, Tiny Speck! ;)
