Wondering how many of you are in the SF Bay Area and would be interesting in meeting up someday to Glitch out?
I've been tossing around an API idea I want to play with, but I haven't touched anything CS related in close to...err, 6 years now, and I'm kind of not sure where to start. Would be awesome to hang out with some of you who already have projects or who want to start projects and maybe brainstorm a bit. Not to mention meeting some of you Glitches in real life would be fun. :)
I live in San Mateo and work in San Francisco, but am totally up for meeting anywhere around the SF Bay Area: North, South, East, West...but not too far west. Unless someone has a pad on the Farallons or something.

I live near SJ and work at Hacker Dojo in Mountain View. If you want to drop by the Dojo any time just let me know :-)

Muahaha, the Dojo, you say? It's quite possible I've already met you. :)
And yes, stopping by the Dojo's totally doable, but getting there post-work from SF might mean later on in the evening on a weekday - would that work? I actually meant to stop by DevHouse there yesterday to try tackling this API thing but that
so didn't happen, heh.

Hey, no kidding... what's your talk?
EDIT: Aha. I found you:

Chef looks like a nifty way to do that... I think I saw some reference to it in your Glitch code?... but I'm struggling to regain any competence in python and django to go looking for extra variables to worry about.

By the time I'm done it should be so easy anyone can handle deployment :-)

Ha! Well, I don't really need more reasons to be less than thrilled with living in NY, but I would dearly like to go to DjangoCon. I figure if I'm paying for the privilege, I'll feel less reticent to ask questions.
Best of luck!

coderanger: let's see if there's anyone else local and try to aim for sometime next week at the Dojo?
dopiaza: it's time for a vacation to sunny California anyway, right? ;) Maybe we'll try Skyping you in during the wee hours of the morn.

Surely, just ask the lady at the front desk for me, she'll know where to find me :-)

I live and work in SF if something comes together. It would be fun to toss around ideas.

ok, with the launch of the developer site I think it's time we all met up! :)
coderanger, any chance you're up for a trip to SF? Or
Blast and
yossi, how about heading down to Mountain View? I wonder if we can even rope in the remote people if they're interested.
Next week, M-F is completely open for me after work as of now, and so is my weekend. Any day work better for you guys than others?
(Man, I wish conversations via forums was easier, would be great to be able to mention users or have notifications sent out of replies. Trying to arrange meetups (in the general forum too) has been frustrating.)
