Ajaya Bliss

Seems they removed the ability to teleport in. Before anyone starts in with the "it is behind a locked door for a reason" or "oh it will make it special again" you can't tell me this was done for any reason at all other than throttling the economy. First they capped bonuses at 30, now you have to bend over backwards to get back in.

This will hurt the casuals, people who have a job or family or can't be on for very long at a time. They can't sit around camping a key, or a person with a key. As for buying the keys, well, When I bought mine earlier in the week on the auction house they were already going for 7k, as of right now there are no keys at all - I bet they sky rocket so you would need to be a farmer there to be able to afford a key to get IN there.

ALL OF THAT ASIDE, a bit of warning would have been nice, I would have stayed camped there instead of porting to my house when I logged out earlier.

  • In my opinion Glitch developers have made a good decision having to remove teleportation spots from places such as Ajaya, and so on. I believe now that these changes have been made, why not allow Teal-White Triangle keys to spawn much faster. Not just that but why cant everyone be able to collect their own once every 4 hours. Hope you guys get what I have to say here.

  • DISCLOSURE.. I didn't read all the posts because it's getting late, so if I repeat anything that's been already said, please don't crucify me :)

    FIRST  I think the spawn time should be changed.  An hour wait might be better.. or maybe change the spawn spots every couple days.  How about a quest for the first time?  Everyone wants a chance, so QUEST it with the reward being the key which of course will disappear after the first use.. or two uses :)

    SECOND  If you think that this is the only  place in the game that has "good" community, you are very wrong.  You can find "good" communities anyplace in the game, if you really look for them.  Of course the best places  to find these  spots, are in areas that keep you coming back such as "Street Projects" .  IMO, the "community" that resided here was based on greed, who could get the most the fastest.. is that really such a good community? 

    THIRD: If you become  too wealthy too fast, you will probably  outgrow the game really fast and maybe not want to play anymore.  I think that kind of defeats the devs purpose for making this game.  I'm sure they don't want people leaving the game after a few weeks because they  feel they have "won" the game!

  • I still vote that they key should have multiple uses.  I think 2 is a good number, but maybe even 3.  That way you can bring a friend along with your or for those more serious miners you will be higher rewarded for you camping time.  It won't sacrifice community as much if players can coordinate to get in together or if players can come back multiple times and be more familiar face around the Ajaya Bliss parts.

    ETA: same with other places as well though.  Having the ability to bring a friend along cause the key has multiple uses will make it more fun to explore Plexus or any other locked streets, and make it feel less isolating to be behind a locked door.

  • @Cer:  I think the problem with only being allowed to enter once with a key is that it really discourages people from searching for it because if something happens where you have to leave there is NO way you could get back in without having to camp all over again.  It makes it feel way  more stressful, whereas if you could use it twice or three times you have a bit of wiggle room.  If you just increase spawn times or increase key locations then people *may* have more opportunity to get a key but it feels much more stressful/competitive

  • I do like the idea of keys having maybe 2 or 3 uses each. At least the more rarely spawning keys. The keys that spawn fast don't really need multiple uses.

  • Boo hoo hoo, my free money farm is dead.  I guess I'll just have to go do other things in the game.

    Seriously, isn't it a bit ridiculous that people were able to buy the most expensive house in the game less than a week before it went live?  Whatever happened to making long-term goals and working towards them?

  • maybe i should put this in its own ideas thread instead of burying this down here, but i propose that we be able to set a teleport spot to a locked area, but only be able to use that spot if you have a key in your inventory. 

    because setting the spot just *outside* plexus does not make for any less of a sad jellyfish.  thank you and *bloop*.

    There are now 2 key spawners in Ilmenskie Deep for keys unlocking Ajaya Bliss, one spawning every 11 minutes, the other every 14.

    However, when i go to the glitch feed directly, it isn't there.

  • Yesterday after hearing that AB was no longer TP-able I decided to go take a look and see if it was any quieter.

    I went key camping and found 7 other people there ahead of me waiting.

    I asked "If anyone finds the key can I follow you in?"

    Immediately a few people said "yes of course"

    Then one of the campers told us that he would give us a key if we all left at the same time.  I guess he had extras (for his collection? the auctions? who knows.)

    We all agreed and a key was given and a conga line was formed and off we went. We all got in just fine.

    And of course when we got there AB was as crowded as ever - full of that crazy flowing mass of Glitchen swarming hither and thither, cracking jokes, hatching plans for ACME, mourning the end of what is surely just the beginning of something else. AB key sharing groups, AB Summoning Parties, can't wait to see what else comes from this.

    ETA: Oh. where did this 2 hour spawning number come from? In my experience I never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Does someone know an actual accurate spawn rate?

  • That one we took down since we might still tweak the exact times (we are watching the numbers, etc.) and we don't want to give specific numbers if they end up being changed shortly after.

  • Ah that's why it was in my friend feed but not the main twitter feed, cause it was deleted. I do assume however those numbers will still be better spawn times than the current spawn timer yes? :-) Honestly, This makes all the difference if so.

  • They used to be a bit over 30 minutes and something like an an hour and half, so yes, much faster.
