Are these the real cultivation prices?

EDIT: I've started gathering data on the sample prices of the items in the cultivation menu, which seem to have changed recently.

Here's what I know so far: docs.google.com/spreadsheet...

  • Good catch...that is significantly more than what they were previously.  I seem to remember the large plots (crop or herb) being only 1000iMG. Would make stoot's estimate of needing around 100K iMG more appropriate than it was with the previous pricing.

  • Ouch! Especially since they wear out rather quickly the way some of us like to focus on gardening and mining.

  • Hmm, question! The prices go up when you place one! Which of these do you have placed in your /home or/ home street?

  • Hmmm, I didn't realize that the prices change when you placed. I have made some changes to my yard recently, so I guess my price changes don't mean anything.

  • Oh they do! They just aren't as accurate :) If possible, only put those things that you don't have placed on your list, and then we can add the ones others don't have placed, until we have the full list of new, unplaced prices :)

  • I am looking at the list again, after having placed one dullite, and almost all of them are increase! I don't think we'll be able to get a good sense of the new prices unless someone's got an empty yard.

  • Well, the yards only have so much space :) Between everyone who reads the forums we'll likely find someone who doesn't have much placed. And eventually we'll have everything ;)

  • Remember, Xandria, that these prices are only for the initial placement of each resource.  After that, you renew them with materials, not iMG. Like a street project!

  • The prices will be based on (a) the total number of all cultivated items in the location and (b) the number of the particular item you are placing which already exist in the location. Prices are still subject to change a bit, but I think the ones that are there now are close.

As Carl Projectorinksi pointed out, you only pay the iMG cost once, to create the item in the first place. After that, restoring it will just cost resources.

  • Regarding resourses to replace...How would that work? What type of resourses would it take to replace sparkly, beryl rocks and the gardens? Sorry I'm clueless here never having participated in a street project.

    ty in advance.

  • Depends on the item. You'll see!

  • Mmm, thanks for the hint Stoot :) I hope your two weeks forecast was not given in jest ;) Or better yet, that it was in jest and the reset will happen on Friday, or some other suitably more close date.

  • Thanks for this informative thread:) Now I just wonder how much imagination it will take to expand our land, and if there will be a limit to how much we can expand our land. And agree with Liza, crossing my fingers that the reset will be soon, my home is becoming a garbage dump and I need more cabinets and SDBs stat! XD

  • Xandaria, based on what we've seen so far, a rock is replaced by 40 of that kind of ore. I'm not sure about gardens, I haven't killed one yet. Maybe loam?

  • Gardens take, at this time, earth and guano. I remember for large gardens, it's 7 guano, but can't remember if it's 10 or 13 or whatever earth. Tree patches take 40 beans.

Of course, I expect these costs to greatly increase when it's live; these prices are just so we don't use huge amounts of resources to restore the items when it's all going to be reset. I also believe it says on the project that the costs will be more expensive.

  • I believe patches take a small hill of beans to replenish. I would have thought dirt, but who am I to question TS?

  • Gardens should require also some caterpillars to restore. :D

  • If we upgrade a small plot to a larger one, do we get back some % of the orignal iMG cost?
Posted 7 months ago by Sturminator i` Subscriber! | Permalink
  • There isn't an upgrade feature...you 1st remove or destroy(wine of the dead) and replace. So, not from the mechanic we've seen.
