I returned after 24 hours of not playing to find no meat in any of my meat collectors and all of my pigs nibbled out. Their feeders are full and no one else has access to my home. What happened? :(
I did too Morena both meat collector and milkers, I was told it was because I had them stacked. ..I've always stacked my meat collectors and my milkers..and they have always before filled up..Anyway I moved them, I've not been in yet to see if they are full today, because...I can't get in lol
so strange... my meat collectors were always stacked. in fact i just moved them around to separate them AND THEN this happened! My butterfly milk collectors are stacked and they've been collecting just fine.. strange...
I had the same issue, but my collectors aren't stacked. This was in my old home. The only thing I'd done differently was that I hadn't gotten around to petting them in a day or so. Weird...
in my new home- I will need to add more pigs to test- but my solo pig is suddenly not eating or giving meat as much as he was before .
i have no idea yet if my old home is affe cted ..
I haven't seen stacking make any difference. My collectors stopped collecting for no discernable reason. I picked them up, put them back down, and they started collecting again. I put them down in a stack.
ive noticed before that if your piggys are sad, and won't let you nibble from them manually, then your collectors won't fill up either. so you might want to try and pet/feed the pigs if needed and try to nibble from them. once they all nibble, the collectors should fill up.
AFAIK, "nibbled-out" piggies are piggies that haven't eaten for quite some time. After a certain period and they're still not fed, they change their speech bubbles to the "I'm about to croak" dialog. If still not fed and left on their own, the piggies ascend to a higher plane and leave piggy meat behind.
so weird. well i picked up the collectors and set them back down and now they are collecting, but at a slower rate. Feeders are full as always and no one's croaked.
Glitchy Pig Phenomenon!!! Perhaps there was a union strike and we weren't around!! That's my new theory anyway.
*edit* I just went back in and it's they're collecting after almost two days and not working. :):)
Is this issue happening at your "home" or purchased houses?
I just moved most of my piggies et al, over to my home and the collectors aren't working. They aren't stacked. I have picked them up and set them back down. I moved them from the front yard area to the backyard.
The collector I have at my purchased house is collecting from the piggies there so I had assumed it was something related to the new homes, beta, yadda.. but I'm not finding information anywhere about it besides this thread.
Manually collection is time consuming and I only have a little time a few times a week to go in and grab stuff. :\
When piggies are not given any attention for a very long period of time, they become sad and won't give out meat anymore. Eventually they will actually die of neglect even with full feeders. They just sort of starve themselves to death to commit suicide.
I just moved my milkers and meat collectors into my private back yard (they used to be out on my street) and now they are not collecting anything. The piggies get daily attention -- I feed them for crop seeds -- and lots of food -- two feeders! They don't seem to be unhappy. And the butterflies are just flitting around like always...
That said, my collectors ARE stacked. (So are my feeders.) I'll try moving them around and see what happens.
From what I heard TS nerfed the stacking of feeders as it was made aware that one filling would fill all the others at the same time (which naturally those who were aware of took advantage of) - so yes, don't stack 'em and the more pigs you have the merrier and quicker they'll give you their bacon!
