BL5 and Mining IV were both 12 days by the time I got to them. There were just so many other skills to do, I kept putting them off. Did a bunch of favor speed learning, but still. It's been painful.
My Mining IV is currently running at 9 days+ although I already have BL5. I think I'm going to leave that one till last now. It'll probably be three weeks or something by the time I get round to it!
Parrow, you should get Mining IV. I agree that ingots and other things are a great alternative to sparkly, but IV lets you move faster on any rock (by a rather significant amount) and also increases gem drops. So basically more money/less time making that money.
I'm deep in trenches with Teleportation V (5 days, 12 hours to go) after I dropped it down from almost 8 days. After that all but 2 skills are under 48 hours! Still painful though XD
I am rather new, but am I missing something? 9 days? Is this the penalty that happens when your brain is full? I am wondering because I'm working on Mining IV now and should finish it up in a little over 2 1/2 days.
If that is the case, I'm glad I worked on all the learning skills early! Must be leftover brain-reprogramming from playing EVE.
@Shootsin Latters
Yes, you will get larger and larger of a time penalty when your brain is full. You and I were smart and got Better Learning first, but you're even better because you're focusing on the largest skills first (Teleportation and Mining)... But I got a lot of cooking skills. x_x Not that I don't like them, but I'm suffering for it now. :V Because instead of getting a small penalty on lower skills like you, I get a large penalty on big skills. D:
I recommend, after you max out Mining, to follow this guide to plan your skills (don't follow it completely, make sure you actually are interested in the skills)...
Also, I'm thinking about skipping Teleportation IV and V for a while... Do you guys recommend it?
Ok, thanks! I guess i was a little surprised when I saw 9-12 days. I just picked stuff I wanted to do, not doing any research into it. But now that I actually look, I see how some skills take a lot longer. I wonder why they didn't make the high level Animal/Gardening skills take a similar time as high level mining/teleportation? A high level skill is a high level skill, IMHO.
