I completed these two skills recently but did not receive quests for either one. Is that just the way it is or am I getting skimped out of a couple quests?
Once you get to a certain point, you've gotta start making your own fun a little more often. I like to set my own goals. Right now this consists mainly of collecting emblems for icons and hoarding materials in preparation for street projects (when they start up again, that is!). You could also join the sandbox group if you wanted to work with others towards a self-defined group goal.
I do wish that Blockmaking had a quest. It seems like the sort of skill that needs one; I have no idea how all the blockmaking and such work; I know there are machines, but yea..
must admit I've made quite a few blocks and have a big stack at my house. the problem is, now i want to upgrade and too much stuff to carry. Will just have to wait for them to introduce the ability to renovate i guess
Heh. I misread this as "No quest for Blackmailing. Jelliasic Hands!?"
And I interpreted it to mean that there was a quest for the absurd Jelliasic Hands skill, but not the all-important and quite valuable Blackmail skill.
In light of this humorous misunderstanding, I move to make blackmail a new skill. Glitchen with the snapshotting skill can now use snapshots to blackmail other glitchen.
I was going to store up a bunch of blocks for whenever renovations became available, but I've found that stacks of blocks with Shrine Powder make for great donations. Since I'm working towards making all the icons, I'm glad I took the time to learn Blockmaking and invested in building the machines at my house.
I probably would have ended up at the wiki eventually once I learned it; it's just that not having a quest would make me less inclined to care or remember to learn how that skill works. I don't care much about that skill anyway because the only times I saw blocks needed were for projects.
I'm sure they'll introduce more uses for them eventually, and hopefully they'll introduce a quest for it as well someday, so that people won't be wondering, wtf did I just learn (or how do I use it)? Or even completely forget that they learned that skill... as I am likely to do. >.>
