According to this there is a concentration of sparkly rocks in Neva Neva that is almost as big as Ajaya Bliss. It is behind a locked door in Nawiwa Wend, which looks to use the same Teal/White Triangle key as Ajaya Bliss. Anyone been in there?
Well, Neva Neva is fairly new, so that would be one reason why it doesn't get much PR. The Bliss discussions have also died down a lot since some of the changes as people have adjusted.
I've never been on Neva Neva or Ajaya Bliss because of the ridiculous prices of the keys and the fact you have at least 2 glitches camping on the three spawn spots 24/7.
I'm happy that the third spawn spot added has the key spawn every 10 or so minutes (At least that's what i heard) instead of hours as the other two. This should naturally mean that the price for the keys would go down to a more logical value given the higher availability, but it's been like 3 or so real world days now and it's still around 2500c (Used to be 3200c until the new spawn spot)...
I'm not paying that amount to get access to streets with 12 sparkly rocks when all around them there are streets with up to 5 or so rocks of the same type, and I'm certainly not going to camp and "fight" two other players for a key. There are more entertaining things to do than that.
These streets are a great example of how you can (intentionally or accidentally) use exclusivity to manufacture demand for something even if it's not that good. Maybe TS can add a Sucka Sucka street that costs 100K to get into and contains nothing, just as a lesson. :-)
By the way, you don't have to buy your own key or camp out to get one. Others are almost always happy to take you in with them. Just wait by the locked door a bit and ask if you can follow someone in. Good times!
Whenever I am about to enter a locked door I make an announcement to everyone on the street asking if anyone would like to ride my coattails. I took 3 or 4 people into Neva Neva a couple days ago. I was going there to get my Completist Badge for Callopee, but it seems that Callopee doesn't have one yet. Maybe more locked doors are coming.
Yep, when I get keys I make an announcement to the room and let people follow me. When I went into Neva Neva there was at least one other person there doing the same. Still not made it to Bliss yet, though I would like to get that completist achievement soon.
Here's my question: if I do somehow manage to get a teal-white triangle (no cash, no time to be actively camping out and watching for it to respawn :( ) which should I use it on? Neva Neva or Ajaya Bliss?
AB has 15 sparklies and NN has 12, if you want to base on that. Someone else said they think the flow is easier for AB, due to how it's designed.
I have no idea how the timers on the nodes are between the two or anything else. The best way may be to just get into each one with someone already going in so you can test them against each other and what suits your play.
Pretty sure AB has 12 sparklies. NN has 12 sparkies + 4 Beryl.
Unless Ajaya was upgraded, a week or so ago it was 12.
As for people saying that it's 'not that good', when you're running around there with greedy and uninformed people who think it's a good idea to not mention anything or mine once you get there, yes you will have a problem, when you have a good group of people having at it? Works great, amazing even.
Ajaya has always had 15 sparklies so far as I remember being aware of the place. I remember people talking about it in the forum a long time ago and mentioning that it had 15.
I remember that because once I read that, I thought, "I should go there!" and then I went and it was a locked door to which I did not have a key. I don't remember how long ago that was, but it was probably at the beginning of July, at least. I also remember that before they changed the teleport into Ajaya, every time I went there, it said, "15 sparkly rocks". And that was a few weeks ago right after the reset (I had only set the teleport after reset and never went into Ajaya before the reset).
I don't understand the appeal of those places anymore. Sure, they have lots of sparkly, but it's so camped that by the time you notice one you get 1 round and it's gone again.
I seriously make more money just mining junk with the occasional sparkly thrown in when I get lucky.
PS:OP: Pleased as punch you used glitch.alwaysdata.net :)
The appeal is that for 8-10 energy you can get 36 ores in a few seconds. Mining on your own you expend far more energy. The problem is that people think they're helping themselves by not waiting for the group to help mine it and it ends up getting wasted most of the time.
The biggest problem is that the "bonus" ore is based on how many people start mining AFTER you. So if you aren't in the first half of people to start mining you miss the bonus. They should base it on how many people are mining WITH you.
I went in one of these places but there are so many people in there you're lucky if you get even one set of chunks when a rock does spawn. So it took a lot longer to accumulate chunks. I did the math, and I was making three or four times more currants in the plain old mining streets. The "bonuses" don't even begin to make up for it.
Interesting that it had 15, I was always told it had 12, well I guess that's a plus for Ajaya then.
@TRB4 - I totally agree, 9 people per rock will always get shafted, if you time it where everyone is at the rock before anyone starts mining, then it won't always be the same 9 people and hopefully shifting that around will make a difference, in this case the more the better, but only if you are well prepared to work as a group, since it seems the rock's chunks don't disappear until you finish your bar, of course the time to spawn increase is a problem, but unless this can be measured, we won't know what an ideal number is.
@Linnaea - Same, I never found the appeal at first, but then I started really concentrating when doing it so making sure I was always one of the first there, it also helped that I had an alt that if I clicked fast enough would always get +16 or higher, when you are really prepared to be there and don't have issues like half the team mining the other rock when 2 show up, you can get good yields, just make sure 9 people are slower than you but will get there.
There's a group dedicated to doing trains (follow trains) around Pollokoo, you get 10~ people together and they all follow one person, that person walks across the rock, everyone starts mining (double click your pickaxe), and then the leader mines, everyone gets a decent amount, only 1 will get +30, but it works out and you keep moving map to map so you get a decent amount of sparkly/beryl in a short amount of time.
It should also be noted that in these maps you will receive less gems as you are mining less, and gems should be the majority of the income. Personally I donate sparkly, sell beryl, sell gems unless I have a few of the same ones, and the gems are a big deal on Mining III/IV, making ajaya obsolete compared to constant mining.
