Why are only 4 out of the 43 Cubimals animated?

I was wondering why the Squid, Yeti, Sno Cone Vendor and Uncle Friendly Cubimals are the only ones that moves in your inventory and when you drop them on the ground. Why don't the other Cubimals have animations?

  • My Uncle Friendly cubimal also moves around while in my inventory.  The question is still a good one, though.

  • It's a bug: some move, some don't. I think it might randomly affect them.

  • My sno cone moves too! I leave him on my shelf because I think he's so cute :D

  • Sno cone, Yeti, Uncle Friendly, and Squid move. Those are the only ones.

  • TRB4: none of them are supposed to move.  For awhile, they all did.  After the "bug" was fixed, only some do.

As for the why, I'm guessing the official answer would be "Oops!"

  • I just went in game to check, but Ameh.Loves.Fudge beat me to it. I don't have any of the rares from series 2, but I don't think any of the series 2 Cubimals move.

My question is are the Squid, Yeti, Sno Cone Vendor, and Uncle Friendly special because they move, or are they the only Cubimals that are behaving as originally intended and all other Cubimals are broken?

  • I guess Saucelah answered my question while I was typing it. Anyway can we please get this "unfixed" Devs? I would like all of my Cubimals to move please.

  • I would -not- like my cubimals to move all the time. Anecdotally, I get crazy lag when I keep a wiggly cubimal in my inventory.

  • When they started moving, during R1 or R2, I had shelves set up displaying a complete set.  When they started moving I had to put away most of them as they would make me feel seasick when they were at the edge of my screen rocking in unison.

    But that's just me.

  • None of them should be animated in your back or on shelves, etc., but it is a low priority bug.

  • I really like the animation showing up in the SDBs, hope that is not a bug. And I love the flaming Hell's Bartender when he races!

  • Aww, but I like them being animated!

  • Why aren't they supposed to wiggle?! They should! All cubis must wiggle adorably! :(

  • I loved it when they all moved...thought it was so cute...wish it wasn't a bug and they all moved again...though I'm sure the lag might be brutal for some folks.

  • Some of my frogs jiggle, and one of my ilmenski jones is jiggling too - so series 2 is also wonderfully affected :)

  • If you want them to move, race them more.

  • Could we maybe get an option on our cubimals to switch their wiggle on and off? That way, we please the both pro-wigglers and the anti-wigglers.
