You Can Use the Machines On My Street

I know that some are frustrated because they want to make construction materials before unpacking, but their machines are in their moving boxes. Others find that their moving boxes have not yet arrived. Still others have construction materials and skills but are lacking the machines they need to make use of those.

To help meet the temporary demand, I have set up on my street for public use one of each type of machine: fuel maker, block maker, woodworker, metal machine. I know there are others who've also set up machines on their streets, and perhaps they will add their names.

I most likely will not keep these machines on my street for the long term, since I'd rather use the space to provide other resources. However, as long as they are there, anyone who wishes is free to use them.

I have provided each machine with initial fuel. As I will be offline most of the weekend, it will be up to those who use the machines to decide whether they will be considerate of others and leave something behind for the next person. If you don't have fuel to leave behind, you might consider leaving some food or construction materials.

Question for machine users: about how many fuel cells will I need to make, for instance, 500 boards or 300 metal rods?

  • 500 boards? That'll probably run you around 12 or so fuel cells. The 300 metal rods will run you considerably less. I've made quite a bit on my metal machine and haven't had to refuel it at all yet.

  • i think a rod is one fuel each, so thats 6 fuel cells to make 300 rods, iirc

i was told there would be no math..

  • I too have all 4 machines on my street for anyone to use. I'll try to keep them fueled but would likewise appreciate those who use them to be as considerate to the next person as their budget will allow.

  • same here.  wouldn't mind people providing materials to make fuel cells so i can keep them fueled.  :)

  • I also have my machines out on my street for public use. Anyone can drop by and use them.  I'll also try to keep them fueled, but the fuelmaker is there, too, in case you run out.
