Items left in your house on the ground

I know items in the cabinet stay there but what if I drop a bunch of items on the ground in my house, will they still be there if I log out. If so, how long can I leave them there before they disappear?

  • Interesting question - I just got a house, so I want to know that, as well as if people can break into your house - (Jujus?). Do I need an alarm? :)

  • Until someone picks them up.

I have several fun items on the floor of my house, like the crab's headphones and the, shiny objectivity no intrinsic value. They've been there since I got it and put them there.

  • No one can enter your house unless you say so (you will get a notification that someone is knocking on your door, and you get a choice whether to let them in or not)

  • Does it matter whether food items are left on the ground where piggies roam, or does the food need to stay in the pantry?

  • If livestock can get to it, they will eat it....so ya, keep food away. As a note - they can climb onto tables so that is bot far enough away!

  • I don't think other people can pick up items in your home even if you've let them in. I had two friends over yesterday and tried to give them martinis by putting the drinks on the floor. (There are Glitches with tables? Fancy!) They couldn't pick them up! So I had to use the menu to give one to each of them directly.

  • Snocones will melt if you leave them on the floor of your house.

  • Other glitches CAN pick things up in your house and garden.  There's been a rash of pple knocking on doors (not friends).  When they've been let in they, um, appropriate things .

I think snocones also melt if they are in your cabinet -- but I'm not sure about this.

If you have piggies but don't have RHK yet, leave some grain or beans or other veggies on the ground.

  • A note about piggies eating things: If your piggies are all in your back yard or an animal pen then they won't be able to enter your house and you'll be able to throw food all over the floor without fear of it being nibbled. However if you let a piggy loose in your house they might stay there and gorge themselves on anything in sight (depending on the type of house).

  • *Regarding the snocones: They're perfectly fine if you place them into your cabinet. :) Otherwise, mine would have melted days ago. ;)
