Will there be things to buy for credits besides clothes and appearance?

I am just curious, because while I would love to support the game, buying lots of clothes does not really interest me. A few, perhaps, but not hundreds of credits worth.

Will there be other things to buy? Specail animals? Extra telepotation slots? Faster learning?

I might like to decorate the OUTSIDE/public part of my house with something other than a gnome -- it would be nice to be able to personalize those.

So -- bottom line -- there is nothiing YET that I want to spend credits on, although I do like the subscriber series of options.

  • i bought credits to show support. i don't want pay to play and haven't with any other online game environments. i am here for the game i think is being created and the opportunity to enjoy something that is of a certain mindset, not being offered elsewhere. i am trusting that glitch won't create social classes divided by subscription payments, game play advantages for pay or any degrading behaviors such as boobies, slutty attire and "coffee breaks". I will gladly pay real money for clothing, accessories, house furnishings, upgrades such as a swimming pool, that would transfer with me, pets & their food, exotic plants and trees, watching movies, sending gifts, downloading music, vacations, ebooks, a home computer, anything non essential to game play.  I would love to log in my little glitch home computer and check my email, post to my blog or twitter, facebook and upload glitch screen shots to my flicker account. Or make these types of thing that operate only in glitch In real life I would love a glitch t-shirt, coffee mug and window decal.

  • You know, I think this game actually does need boobies.

    Blue-footed ones.
    Lots of them.
Because after all, if you don't have anything funny to say, show boobies.

  • I would pay BIG bucks for a basement in Groddle Meadows so I could have an egg tree and would pay extra for a barnacle etc....

  • I like the ideas of using credits to personalize our Glitch experience without them affecting what we can actually do in the game.

So bring on the clothes and the home improvements, but limit the ways in which having more disposable income IRL gives you game advantages in Glitch.

  • I can easily have 2 free accounts and get the same things as opposed to buying it.

  • OK, I have read through all these posts and maybe I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but my question is: What do I gain from buying a subscription to this game when they are made available? If the game is free to play, what is TS offering me as an incentive to spend real money on a monthly basis? Do we even have an answer for this yet? I bought 500 credits already, cause I am a Glitchy clothes horse, but I can see the wardrobe thing getting old real fast. I am not interested in any gameplay advantage but as a paying member I think I should have access to things non-paying members don't. Bigger houses, cars, boats, maybe a hot tub...you get the idea.
@coolbetty cakes, not sure how boobies are a degrading behavior, esp the blue footed kind....thank you Murri....

  • zev, we have been told that subscription will be required to access certain things, and that it may also provide a "stipend" in terms of tokens.

  • Striatic...thanks ...I went back and read some older posts about this subject where these questions had been asked and kinda answered. I see where it was mentioned about having maybe multiple avatars, unlocking things free players can't, the token "stipend", etc.
