I'm sure you all have noticed that the roosters crow every day and the chickens squawk when we squeeze them. But what about our Glitches? I recently realized something. Have you noticed just how much energy it costs to sing to a butterfly? How about how playing the whistle to gather fireflies is also noticeably draining?
Now I put it to you. Why is this the case? Why are Glitches so keen to keep quiet? Though we can chat all we like we can't make any real noise without a tool or outside creature. The closest I've ever come is the triple (super) jump that makes the recognizable springy noise. I'd love to see someone get a group of enough people together to play a tune by doing some well-timed jumping choreography.
I'm not talking about the mechanics or meta-characteristics of this choice. Tiny Speck chose to make the game this way and now it is part of our world. We might as well have some fun with it and find ways to embrace it.
