Are Rook Attacks too easy now?

So am I the only one who thinks Rook attacks need to become more challenging?

Now that we get alerts from our butler, the news spreads so fast that the attack rarely lasts over 2 minutes. I haven't seen my screens get scratched up in ages!
In theory I guess it is great we are so efficient at fighting back, but it just seems so easy!
It feels like with the population of Ur growing, the attacks should get stronger in relation to the amount of iMG flowing around.

  • I agree. I'd rather attacks be too hard than too easy like they are now.

  • I agree.  I like the butler alerts but--we already created a group for alerts.  And it worked.

I am hoping for dark days when the rook cannot be defeated and some streets become wastelands, dangerous to venture through.

  • Definitely not the only one.

  • Yes.  I haven't seen a rook eating my screen in FOREVER!  (It was too easy before the butlers started announcing them, imho.  It's gotten beyond too easy.)  If it's going to be a fluster cluck every time now, they could at least make them a little harder to fend off.

  • Also- somewhere up in the mountains...  in a secret hidden spot there should be a rook shrine, lol.  Donating to it could make the rook attack somewhere, or make them more fierce or something fun like that.  Just something to think about.  :P

  • Having a dangerous wasteland sounds very exciting! And I also think they are more fun when rook attacks are harder. Too easy takes the fun out of it.

  • And I would actually rather the butler didn't announce them. I liked that we had to happen across them, and that Rook Alerts was because Glitchen had banded together as a community to fight the Rook. The butlers announcing attacks makes them feel like happy little social events-- really? Does that make sense? Butlers don't seem like the warrior type to me. They don't seem like people who would know about something like what Rook Attacks should be.

  • they should add like a shark to the water region, and when you get eaten, you die :)

  • I was never one of the fortunate (or shall I say Unfortunate?) ones to come across a rook attack without some one in global announcing it. And for someone like me who doesn't spend a lot of time playing, I like the butlers announcing the rooks. On the downside of that it does bring a LOT of glitchen to the rescue which makes the attacks too easy to conquer.

  • Easy? Probably just what the Rook want you to think....

  • I consider myself a casual player, and I'd never managed to participate in a rook attack before the butlers started announcing them. Thanks to my butler's alerts, I've managed to participate twice!

I do feel like the rook attacks could be boosted a little in power, though... I like the Rook Shrine idea!

  • It does seem like there should be more repercussions for the attacks, especially if they went unchecked for a while. I love the idea of the street becoming damaged for a while or even making it so trees can't grow and animals won't stay there.

I do like that they have become more frequent, as it is a nice random event to shake things up, but having them have deeper, longer lasting effects would be very interesting.

  • I've never experienced a Rook attack, because even with map teleportation ability I feel that by the time I get to the location and start getting involved the attack will already be over or almost over.

  • What do you mean "now"? Rook attacks have always been too easy... except that one time after the Great Reset, when no-one had the skills to fight off the Rook...
