Do not pick up Quions that you can't use

I would love it if my glitch would ignore mood or energy quions if I am already at max mood or energy. I like to interact with trees and animals a lot, so I am usually at 100% mood, therefore I always feel like I am wasting mood quions when I pick them up. I know that I could just actively avoid them, but I usually pick them up when they are near other quions that I want.

All I am suggesting is that if I am at max energy or mood and I pass through a quion it should act just like it does when I am at my quion limit for the day. Just leave them there for someone else who actually needs them.

The same would also apply to time quions, if the glitch is not currently learning a skill or is already at max learning speed, don't allow them to grab the quion when someone else could have actually used it.

The bottom line is "Waste not, want not" why waste quions on glitchens that can't benefit from them?

  • Pretty sure this isn't the first time this idea has been put up.

  • Hmm... While I am not against the idea, it would make getting the Numismatizer badges a lot more difficult than they are now.

  • Maybe it could be an upgrade available after you get the Numismatizer badges.

  • Maybe there could be a potion we can drink that allows us to avoid certain quoins.

  • I would love to ignore mood (or energy) quoins as well if I am maxed out.  I think this is a great idea.

  • The quoins respawn anyway and it seems unnecessarily complicated to have the game keep track of everything for little reason.

  • But the game already keeps track of these things anyway. When you are at max energy you can not eat food, when you are at max mood you can not drink drinks, when you are learning at max speed you can no longer spend favor. So obviously these stats are already tracked. Not to mention, they already have the code that causes your glitch to leave quoins alone if you are at max quoins for the day. All they need to do is use the same checks that they make for food, drinks, and favor and apply it to quoins.

Also I like the idea of making "Numismatizer, Dragon Class" a prerequisite for getting this upgrade. That way it not only doesn't interfere with the Numismatizer badges, but it would also provide  a decent reward for all the trouble of getting the badge.

  • Just to pipe in too, the idea of this as an upgrade card prerequisite on the Numismatizer badges sounds good. As TRB4 says, it not only stops interference with getting those badges but encourages people to do so. (And the upgrade itself would be very useful as you'd feel like you made better use of your quoin quota.)

  • +1 to this, as an upgrade or skill unlockable after "Dragon Class" badge, like other people point.

  • +1 to it in upgrade card form

  • I totally agree, I'd prefer it as just the standard for all characters, not in card form, but If it was in card form, I'd definitely get the card.

  • +1 though I'd like it from the start, not a requirement after getting a certain badge...there is no lack of quoins in the world, and if I miss a few because I had enough energy or mood already, I can just keep running and rack up those iMG quoins.  Seems a card would be the best way to suit all preferences...you can wait to get the card, or buy it straight away.

  • +1! But to upgrade card form.

  • -1 Seems unnecessary, and would definitely hurt those trying to get the Numismatiser badges, which are hard enough already.

  • -1 as well.

  • they also add to quion limit, so +1
or maybe how about an optional lock to quions?

  • Seems to me that the best option would be to make the quoins spawn a bit higher so that you could walk under them without gathering them if you didn't want to. However, it should not prevent you from collecting them if you do want to.

  • The height of the quoins is not an issue. Imagine that there are 2 iMG quoins between an Energy quoin and a Mood quoin like so:

    (Mood)
    (iMG)
    (iMG)
    (Energy)

I am at 100% mood and energy, I want the iMG quoins but in order to get them I must also grab the Energy and Mood quoins above and below them. Now I have just WASTED 2 quoins that count towards my daily limit.

I don't see why the ability to ignore unhelpful quoins couldn't be an upgrade card that requires you to have earned the "Numismatizer, Dragon Class" Badge before you can receive the upgrade. The best part about upgrade cards is that you can choose the ones you like and ignore the ones that you don't.
