Free subscriber-only clothes question

What happens when your subscription runs out? Will you lose those free items if you've already got them through the checkout?

I'm fairly sure you'd get to keep them, but no harm in asking. :)

  • Nope! You have a few weeks grace period after the subscription runs out, but free-but-subscriber-locked items are eventually removed from your wardrobe (you do get to keep anything you paid credits for, even if it is subscriber-locked).

  • Yep. There were a few suddenly naked Glitches running around a few tests back because of that.

  • @stoot barfield - That's kind of lame that'll it'll eventually get removed, it's a good thing that I don't like any of the free stuff then. :p

  • I'm not stoot, but I can tell you that he specifically addressed that point - "you do get to keep anything you paid credits for, even if it is subscriber-locked". That includes the free credits too. People who bought stuff with those got the keep them when their subscriptions ran out. Go ahead, use them. You won't lose a thing. It's a really good deal for Alpha and Beta testers. You get to keep those unspent free credits after the test too if you don't spend them.

  • I wish we could pay for some of the free to subscriber items if we don't have a subscription, and may not plan to get a subscription.  Love the Panda hat, but there is no way to get it without a subscription.  Seems kind of silly that there isn't an option...25 credits for non-subscribers OR free to subscribers...vice exclusively free things for subscribers that even if you select it, and you need to let the subscription lapse it gets taken from you since there is no way to purchase it.

  • One thing to remember is that the devs have to eat. :)
If you could keep all subscriber only items after your subscription lapsed, then everyone would get a month only and let it lapse, leaving the devs without money for dinner...
People need an incentive to subscribe, after all, glitch needs to make money to pay the bills.

  • So if we are subscriber's we keep all of our clothes no matter what, reset, time etc.  But if you are not a subscriber or your subscription ends then you lose your free clothes.  Is this correct?

  • I believe thee are two types of "free" clothing.  Free for everyone, which does not go away.  Free for subscribers only, which will go away if you no longer have a valid subscription, as it is only free as long as your subscription is in effect. Please correct me if I am wrong, but this is how I understand it to be.

  • If you get the highest-cost subscription (molybdenum) you will pay a measly $1.70/wk to play Glitch. Not to mention the TON of credits and teleportation tokens they give you every month.

  • If your subscription ends, you lose all of your subscriber-only free clothes.  As welshcorgi points out, clothing that is free for non-subscribers will still be available to you when you are a non-subscriber.

  • Subscriber vanity options won't disappear, but in that grace period you will also be reminded to change your looks as well. You'll have to change to non-subscriber options if you want to be able to change your clothes. Otherwise you keep them.

  • Does anyone know if subscriber only hair and facial features will be removed once the subscription runs out as well?

  • If you never change, it looks like you can keep them, perhaps.  But I wouldn't count on it.
