  • Other people appear to be selling the same titled notes too.
This could lead to some confusion o_o

  • I thought you can't transfer currants to other players. And besides, there is no guarantee you won't run away afterwards. :P
Posted 14 months ago by gamecharacter Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I'll mail transfer the money. Won't be a problem.

Yes, Only buy auction tickets sold by Gazoola. I don't see any other offending tickets right now but good point.

One of them IS a winner!

  • gamecharacter, you can't transfer credits to other players. Currants are the in-game currency, credits are worth RL money. When you have an item on auction and someone buys it, the money is automatically transferred to your account. And sure, there's no guarantee, so only buy the tickets if you trust the person. :)
Posted 14 months ago by Cupcake Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Yep... I personally guarantee that one of the tickets in the auction is the winner.

I further guarantee a total of 100 tickets were printed.

    Completely legit.
Posted 14 months ago by Oaf Tobark-Gazoola Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Cool! I'd buy one, but I'm low on currants ATM.
Posted 14 months ago by Cupcake Subscriber! | Permalink
  • How do you even pick out the winner? For all I know, you could deliberately pick the unsold ones so you don't have to give out 50k. And how can we know for certain how many lottos are sold? And right now there is already at least one person who duplicate your notes title trying to gain quick cash.

    Edit:
    @Cupcake
I mean actually transferring currants in game not through auction. I never know you could mail them.

  • Fingers crossed...

  • One of the notes has a special message. I don't pick the winner... it's like a scratch and win....

Buy it... open it... it either says you won or says how to claim your prize.

The winners name will be posted here and the winner must agree to leave a message in the forum that they won and were paid.

  • Why be so negative? Even if he did run off with the money, it's the same profit wise to me if I just didn't win. I like to have a little faith......so I'm buying one!
Posted 14 months ago by NutMeg Botwin Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Yes, M4 is hijacking the lotto. Lame.

Only buy tickets sold by Gazoola.

I put EXACTLY 100 tickets up for auction.
Posted 14 months ago by Oaf Tobark-Gazoola Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Fine, fine, carry on. I won't be participating though. :P
Posted 14 months ago by gamecharacter Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Hmm, 50% profit for you, no thanks.
Posted 14 months ago by SacredBob Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Yes, it was M4 who I saw selling earlier :(
Still I bought one of your tickets Gazoola. Like NutMeg Botwin said "I like to have a little faith".
Posted 14 months ago by Ebil Subscriber! | Permalink
  • SacredBob... actually its 10,000c in transaction fees and I paid someone to write the 100 tickets. And it's a lot of clicking to auction...

Sure there's a little profit but only if it sells out.... there is risk/reward.
Posted 14 months ago by Oaf Tobark-Gazoola Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I don't need currants (not that I'm wealthy, I just like my house and there's nothing else I need right now) but I think this is a super fun idea for in-game interaction and that it was executed in a very participant-friendly, simple way. Consider my 1000 currants an encouragement/reward for creativity!
Posted 14 months ago by Meridian Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I bought one!

(and if you win, don't be a jerk and announce it for 24 hours... until the auctions expire... totally fine to announce that you HAVEN'T won... that just make sit more exciting for everyone else)
Posted 14 months ago by Lord Bacon-o Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Well, I dumped a load of currants in... I'm done lol. Good luck to whomever :)
Posted 14 months ago by Djabriil Subscriber! | Permalink
  • MORE THAN 50% SOLD OUT! WOO!!!

FYI. part of the rules (on the winning ticket )is the winner can't say they won until after it's sold out.

Makes sure all the tickets get sold. :D
Posted 14 months ago by Oaf Tobark-Gazoola Subscriber! | Permalink
  • You can also trade currants for a low value item as a way of handing them over directly without paying the 20 currant postal charge.
Posted 14 months ago by PopeJoan Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Now more than 60% sold out. Get your tickets before they are all gone.

Chances of winning have never been better.
Posted 14 months ago by Oaf Tobark-Gazoola Subscriber! | Permalink
  • 70% sold and the winning ticket has NOT been claimed yet!

    1 in 30 chance to win 50000c

  • got mine...thx Gazoola

  • 80% sold out. only 20 tickets remaining!
Posted 14 months ago by Oaf Tobark-Gazoola Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Bought one! I'm curious, if the winning ticket-buyer can't announce it if they won, how do you know the winning ticket hasn't been claimed?
Posted 14 months ago by Cupcake Subscriber! | Permalink
  • They can IM me if they want... just can't publicly post it.
Posted 14 months ago by Oaf Tobark-Gazoola Subscriber! | Permalink
  • ALL TICKETS ARE GONE! Only tickets being sold are fakes or people reselling losing tickets.
(I assume they'd not sell the winner.)
Posted 14 months ago by Lord Bacon-o Subscriber! | Permalink
  • I think in my haste to get one I bought a fake!  LOL

    Live and learn!  :-p

  • Gratz FreedomWRKS.
Posted 14 months ago by Candycane Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Congrats Freedom!

To Gazoola: it didn't matter this time, but you say "They can IM me if they want"...what if they got the winning ticket but didn't let you know? That would mean the rest of us would be buying tickets without any chance of winning, while being told we had a 1 in x chance. Maybe you should put it on the winning ticket that the winner has to contact you? Or just not post "Now a 1 in 30/20/10 chance of winning!" updates when you have no real way of knowing whether it's true?
Posted 14 months ago by Cupcake Subscriber! | Permalink
  • >>>SacredBob... actually its 10,000c in transaction fees and I paid someone to write the 100 tickets. And it's a lot of clicking to auction...

Yeah sure, fair enough I hadn't really taken that into account, hope it goes well for you. Enjoy
Posted 14 months ago by SacredBob Subscriber! | Permalink
  • It's a lottery, just like in real life. You have one chance in 100 to win. If you don't like the risk, don't play.
I find it correct to not announce the winner until all the tickets are sold... if Gazoola didn't cover the costs it's would be pointless doing it.

  • To easy to take and steal the money..How do we know it wasnt rigged so someone with more than one account transfers the money to his other account...Anyone could do it. Unless it was staff I wouldnt trust it..Just staff and not staff sanctioned as the staff cant really know if 2 accounts are the same person..Once done he could then use the new richer account or transfer the money back or to a third account..etc...Course you know what they say..Theres a sucker born every minute. I do hope it was legit and someone saying it was isnt proving it was.
Posted 14 months ago by Me, Myself and I Subscriber! | Permalink
  • True, Zira, but Gazoola was periodically announcing that the winning ticket hadn't been claimed - and she/he had no real idea if this was true. I find this odd - all I'm saying is that you shouldn't tell people they still have a chance of winning if you don't know for sure whether they do. I agree the winner shouldn't be revealed till the end, that's not what I'm saying.
Posted 14 months ago by Cupcake Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Gazoola ran it just like scratch offs. It is good. (And I take the point that I will trust someone (within reason) until they prove me to be a jerk.)

Gazoola, if you do another, you might think of having different levels of prizes. Yes, it will be more work but could draw more people in.
Posted 14 months ago by Lord Bacon-o Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Seems fun while it lasted, but now there's so many copy cats out there that there's bound to be scammers involved at this point.  So please think about that before you buy a ticket.  They should do some official ones.
Posted 14 months ago by Azurite Subscriber! | Permalink
  • Lord Bacon-o... I thought about having different levels of prizes... certainly adds complexity but more winners and more fun. It's already a ton of work to do.

I'd like to do a bigger one... perhaps a lotto for a full set of cubimals. Wish I still had my full set from beta.

As for process, the winning ticket had a keyphrase on it... that they were told to tell me that way I knew they had the winning ticket. They just weren't allowed to tell the world until all tickets were sold.

It worked out well. Was fun. A level 9 rookie won. And created some good debate and conversation.

I hope noone taints the process and runs a scam lotto but you never know.

I'll probably come up with something different. I have an idea but would want a few people to help. Message me if you wanna help.
