95% of folks at level 8 and below play only one day--never come back. That's like 4 out of 5 people who enter the world (87% level 8 or below) play only on that day they enter.
-- Maybe there are 3-400 or so people who are actively playing. How do they play? What keeps them going?
Of course this is all skewed because of the limited times that the game is open, and the big gaps between, and personal availability. Some people can't get back on and lose interest. Seems normal. But how do MORE players engage better with the game? How do you take the excitement of playing up to level 8 in one gaming session and bring people back for more? And if the appeal is to get non-traditional gamers to participate (I know one), how do you sustain the interest and the revenue stream? Buying new shoes won't do it for me--but I could be an outlier.
(And I very likely will be back after the reset, because its very cool to see the anthropology of Glitch unfolding in realtime. Also, it's always good to have additional testers and I have had fun and want to payback a bit more.)
