Unexpected daily quoins action -- wait, what??

I purchased an upgrade which gave me a base quoin limit of 110 per day. When I hit 100 I sailed on past, and when I hit #110, the pop-up over my head said "You have reached 100 quoins today!" (which I'd done a while ago: it probably should read "max" instead of "100").

Then I drank a Potion of Avarice, and it increased my max to 150 (as it always used to).  I'd like to suggest that it OUGHT to increase one's max by +50, rather than to 150 total (since there may be other upgrade cards available).

  • Wait, what?  The gameday changed, and I'm back to a 100 quoin limit for this day.  Is that card only a one-time one-gameday application???  That was totally not clear from the card's text, if so.

  • There are definitely other upgrade cards. My daily limit is 150 from cards; I would hate to drink an elixir and had it have no effect!

  • I've drunk elixir and only seem to get another 20 quoins at the most from it, surely it should add 50% of whatever you can collect normally.

  • Just used the potion after already hitting my max of 150. Thank goodness that is was "raised" to 150 after the potion.

But I'm glad that it's already being looked into.

  • We should not be able to quaff the elixir of avarice as long as it has no effect -- the way we can't drink a mood drink when mood is full, we shouldn't be able to up our limit to 150 if our limit already is 150.

  • Hopefully when it is fixed it will do as Eleanor Rigby suggests and just add 50 quoins to the max. When the potion was first launched there really wasn't a difference since everyone had the same base max. But now with the cards that is obviously not the case and it will hopefully be fixed.

  • This is now fixed.  I never saw an update about it so that may have happened ages ago, but it still seemed worth a mention!
