Thank you TS!

So, I work at a game company.
And we talk about consumer interaction, iteration of features, and many other similar things.
And I keep telling people, dude, look at how TS does it.
And I've been telling them this for a year now.
They're finally getting it.

Thank you TS for leading the pack in player communications, showing the way, and influencing the way we do business.

It took an example before we were able to change.

More please!

Also, the rapid, agile, feature releases?

Damn.  So fast, so cool. Impressive, in a word.
If I had to choose a second word? Inspirational.

Thank you, Stoot, for setting the tone.

  • I couldn't agree more. The level of communication and responsiveness to players' concerns shown by TS sets an industry benchmark—and other industries would benefit greatly by following their example too.

If you want to build player loyalty and a great environment, this is how.

  • Indeed; the level of interaction the staff has with players makes this so much a better game!

  • Whenever I tell people about this game, I often include how great the staff is. They're always on the forums or in the game, and they're very big on keeping us up to date. And, if you have a problem, it gets solved fairly quickly. I've never played a game where the players were working so closely with the staff, and I think it makes for a great experience.

Although, I'm pretty sure the devs are getting tired of hearing me say "Thank you for the game!" every time I see them. But I always mean it, and I can never say it enough.

  • I'm in total agreement. I have never seen any company or bunch of individuals with friendlier, quicker and more efficient customer service (plus it may sound a bit strange), with greater empathy then Tiny Speck.

Also, which other company does this: where the owner/s of the company is so hands-on with our input and bug problems as well as allow us to sometimes participate in testing?

Finally unlike many other game companies, you reward us wonderfully for being beta testers and not just say, "You are privileged to play this game prior to its release to the general public, what more do you want from us?"

Thus, thank you so much Tiny Speck from the bottom of our human and glitchen hearts. (hmm do Glitchen have more then 1 heart each?)

    *hugs* and Cheers,

    Sincerely,

    Bachjess

  • Whenever I try to explain Glitch to people, I start with "Well, it's social. And crafting, and building. But more than that, it's community. I've played lots of other games, but never have I had someone in Stoot's position show up at a party and go "Oh, hey, check out this new thing!" and start playing with us.

Almost every forum post I see trying to figure something out has SOMEONE from TS coming in and trying to help, whether it be with understanding of something, or to say "Hey, neat idea, it's something we can think about," and even when someone's being critical, can at least say "Well, we can't do that because of XYZ" instead of just ignoring it or being combative.

  • plus a glitchillion to all of the above !
love the communication and community things.and completely love that you listen to our ideas (big and small) and not only listen BUT actually implement ! rockin awesome !
and also what aliera just said - I've never played , either , where the maker and devs show up and PLAY with the players - THAT, THAT! is just such an amazingly cool thing !! (wish i had more elegant words than amazingly cool - but that's all i can come up with for now. )
so thanks TS and devs and staff ;)

  • I wholeheartedly agree! I think the only other game I've played where the devs were so active was Champions Online, but unfortunately they've all since moved on. It's always great to have such friendly staff, especially in an age where a lot of game devs simply just don't care about their players.

  • I agree, and  would like to add my thanks to everyone that works so hard for ts and for us glitches - upgrading the game constantly while dealing quickly with player issues and bugs, keeping up with the forums, and keeping the game running smoothly.. my hat's off to all of you :)

  • +1 to all the above - I am continually amazed by the ways that the game is developing and particularly by the interactions between devs/stoot and glitches. I really appreciate the constant levels of patience, helpfulness and enthusiasm which you all show, which I guess is what Glitch is all about! Please remember to eat and sleep? So thanks for working so hard and coming up with such creative ideas!
