Housing keys and co-owners

Is it possible to somehow give a friend the same privelgs and rights as the owner of an house? For example giving a key to my friend, gives him access to my house, but doesn't allow him to really help me out.

I play this game with a friend, we harvest, mine and collect together, but in the end of the day we have to decide, wether we keep the stuff in his or my house.

It would be great if I could make a friend a co-owner, who could plant, harvest, and access everything in my house.

Has this ever been considered?

Looking forward to hearing everyones feedback.

  • hm, i think if they have a key they can plant and harvest.  a key holder can get in the cabinet for your house too (the old houses that is).

if you mine together, then just split what you get and dont make it more complicated than that, this way when you want to refine metal or gather elements, you can just use what you have and dont have to worry about what someone else thinks.

co-ownership of houses just makes things messy, imo.  everyone has a house when the new system comes online, and it will just make things far easier.  you pile up the junk you want to hoard and your friend does the same.

  • Giving a friend a key allows them to plant, harvest, and access everything in your house (afaik, including cabinets in the older houses) even when you are offline. They won't be able to redecorate your newer test housing though :p

To give your friend a key, click on the key ring under your currants indicator in game (bottom left corner of the game).

  • I'd like to see that. I'd like the ability for a key that lets friends to decorate the house as well.
    Elf and Millie, you misunderstood.

  • I guess I did!

Group halls might allow for what you're describing, but I haven't heard of any plans for co-ownership of houses so far.

  • Well, looking at the new houses, I can not for example access the storage boxes my friend puts in his house.

Nor Can I put objects, or move objects. There are still many limitations even tho I have a key.

Please do not get me wrong, I am not trying to sound negative here, and all your advises are great on how to share and organize things. I just like the idea of having a co-owner who gets the same rights as I do without any differences.
