What are your personal top 5 favorite proposed Ideas?

I'm just curious to see if some ideas (many get proposed repeatedly) are more popular with players as a whole.

My current fave five:
1. Having a welcome mat / lockable door feature so that gifts / notes left for neighbors are locked to the neighbor's doorway for them to pick up personally.
2. Various proposals that would allow players to harvest more things that are currently bought at vendors only (such as fishing for salmon, visiting cold regions to grab ice, getting honey from a hive or particular animal like a bee, bear or honey badger, etc.)
3. Setting the default in item stack menus to ONE OF THESE rather than ALL OF THESE to cut down on piggie overfeeding, over-donating to shrines, drinking ALL your buff-giving drinks (this has been addressed, yay!), etc.
4. An automated chicken squeezer to collect grain if you have the Remote Herdkeeping skill (or even an advanced RH skill)
5. Being able to bundle ALL common harvestables like we can bundle grain (crates for eggs, cords for wood, etc.)

  • Agree with lockbox at my house and harvesting items such as salmon

Next for me would be sheep

Most important to me would be "party buffets" or "picnic baskets" where food could be placed and could only be taken out one at a time and could only be eaten - not put into bag.

  • 1 - Being able to set filters for bags (maybe have the item categories the Auction uses?) to make items go to certain bags.

2 - Controller support (Official, not using a 3rd party program)

3 - Equal animals out. Pigs can be captured, but chickens and butterflies can't be. Pigs and butterflies can be auto harvested, but chickens can't. Add options for batterflies in underground homes.

4 - More specialization! At the rate skills and such are being added, everyone that's been playing from the beggining knows almost every skill. Put some form of advancement that has tiered paths with only one option to make Glitches more diverse (I think it's coming with the Imagination system, not for sure)

5 - Customizable housing, which is already coming

  • 1. Customizable housing - with all the things that go with it - lock boxes for gifts, self determined garden lay outs, personalized decorating/design, adding additional floors/rooms, more interactive furniture. (a place to call my own with my own personal touches that I can change regularly)

    2. More skills, quests, things to do (basics that glitches need to learn) and more creativity in game - more crafts, more complex things to build with the items we already have (things to do that have my creative touch on them, but can be shared with others)

    3. More dynamic content - building out new regions in Ur (but allowing the glitches to determine certain aspects of streets), rook attacks, etc. (things we have to react to, but is constantly changing, so we don't get bored)

    4. More things to customize my glitch - want them to be able to sit, dance, spin, wave, etc.; want more wardrobe/vanity options - especially sunglasses, more hairstyles, more noses/eyes, changes to head and body shapes, etc. (ways to personalize my avatar so they look less like others, and ways to move my avatar so I can interact better with Ur and my friends)

    5. Somewhat moderated forums - to teach basic manners to forum posters since they apparently haven't learned them at home; and to keep things from spiraling down to the lowest depths of flame wars. A lot of folks refuse to post anymore due to the 'wild west' nature of the forums and the bullies are winning. (Just a way to provide a healthy place for all to feel free to post without getting smacked down by the usual forum bullies or know it alls)

  • 1. Sensible ordering of menus. I hardly ever want to rename something or set it free: those should be LAST in every menu.

    2. Items should go into the first available slot of the currently open bag… and only when that is full fall back to the first available slot from the left. If I'm carrying two bags in real life, something I pick up goes into the OPEN one, y'know the one I'm trying to use, not the one with the pocket closest to the left!

    3. Don't default to showing actions or resources that I can't currently use! If I'm standing by two spice trees, and they're both outlined in blue, when I hit enter, show me the menu for the one I CAN pet or water or harvest, not the one I've already finished with.

    4. Fix the weird behavior of items lying on the ground. If there are a whole bunch of items, and you pick one up, frequently the order of their display CHANGES the next time you go to select from them (even if you don't move or do anything differently). This can make organizing things very inefficient.

There are a huge number of these small usability aggravations throughout Glitch. They add NOTHING to game play and just seem sloppy and ill-thought-through, which is jarring in an otherwise lovely game.

  • Robots. Boats. Underground passages/digging for treasure. Beach areas and seashore streets. And more fully fleshed-out mythology.

  • Just off the top of my head, I can't remember where I saw them, but.

    1. Rogue Monkeys
    2. Pettable, squeezable and Milkable Unicorns.
    3. Mosquitos
    4. Collard Greens
    5. Nuclear Fusion reactors.

  • 1. One of the main things I want is more skill specialization, and with this, more community or group/related activities or quests that rely on this specialization. Maybe I just enjoy class-based MMOs, but by having a restriction on the skills you learn, you're encouraged to socialize and work together more which is never a bad idea.

    2. More animals/trees/harvestables.

    3. Location diversity. Beaches, tropical jungles, underwater, snow/icy areas, volcanoes, urban areas, sky cities, more alien landscapes. Also, more use of the y-axis. But if streets get taller, maybe the option to jump down from ledges will be needed as well.

Those three are the core features that I'd like. I'm a fan of many of the smaller ideas that are proposed in these forums, though.

  • 1)Rube Gnome, stock-able with items for visitors to trade with. Or just more variety in Gnome choices - the zilloween option is great. How about a Glitchmas option? Rube for an April Fool's option? or year-round let us have Bureaucroc or Juju or even Rook options to let us show a little more variety on our front steps. (Even if we don't have the same types of front steps after the new housing comes along these would still make great in-house additions)

2)Sheep or any animal with harvest-able fiber for the creation of customized clothing.

3)Bees or any creature that when harvested provide Honey.

4)Random transformations that temporarily turn you into a cubimal, juju or bureaucroc (think random teleports that Magic Pickle sometimes provides). Could come from drinking milk, Crabato or some other juice, or be a new option for something like the Special Item That Only Beta Testers Get (but for everyone). Getting help from other players could "cure" you faster and other players would help to complete a quest.

5)A variety of new exit lines for the mail frog. I know his yoga is killer. He knows I know his yoga is killer.

I didn't include housing options in my list since that is already in the works. Also not included are more customized street projects since those too seem to be coming.

  • People want mosquitoes? :)

    Not sure if SRS.

If SRS. then, dude, I am dying to know how that would be reflected in gameplay. :D
