Taking the crystalmalizing chamber to a whole new level...

Let's make crystal varieties. They could be used for stained glass (windows for furniture anyone?), projects, even decor, but, I get ahead of myself here.

The current crystal making process is just some barnacle talc and fireflies tossed together to make plain crystals, so I'm thinking maybe we can come up with something just as imaginative using gemstones.

Combine ruby with sapphire and you can make amethyst, rubies and barnacle talc can make rose quartz, amber with sparkly chunks could create citrine, even going as far as combining beryl chunks with sparkly to make aquamarine. Just a few thoughts.

In short, more crytals for the heck of it!

  • Ayasta--super idea! There was an ideas thread along these lines a couple of months ago in which we got very excited about stained-glass windows and how we might assemble them. Someone suggested having a window for each giant. How cool would that be??

So a big +1 for your idea!

  • @Voluptua Yeah, I'd LOVE to have stained glass windows since we've got a description for windows, but none yet. Plus theses would be craftable gemstones using the old gemstones (haven't come up with anything for diamonds yet though) and they are mostly of the quartz family which is a type of crystal. So they would work for making different kinds of stained glass windows, if not the basics for the starter and then upgrades for it.

Aside from stained glass windows, projects and decor, they could be used for toolmaking perhaps, like if we are ever able to make focusing orbs. Heck, maybe go as far as to combine a bunch of crystals with plain metal to make cauldrons (because everyone knows cauldrons and crystals are associated with magic, XD).

I'm sure there's other creative folks out there that can possibly think of other ideas, and maybe even furniture that crystals and other colored crystals could be used to make varying things.
