Discussion: Copyright and attribution guidelines

Hi there -

I have an API-driven web project nearing completion, and would like to include proper copyright, attribution, and any other applicable notices in the site's footer. Currently the attribution reads:

Original artwork copyright (c) Tiny Speck.

I've noticed similar language on most Glitch-related sites, but there doesn't seem to be a standard message. Please let us developers know if there's any specific language Tiny Speck would like included on API-driven projects.

Thanks!
I suspect this is a "better to ask forgiveness than permission" situation.  I doubt the lawyers would allow Tiny Speck to give any sort of carte blanche permission to use their artwork in a third-party site.

For my part, I link to the game and mention that the artwork taken from there is copyright Tiny Speck, and so far they haven't said anything.
Since there is no official response on this yet and I have a similar question, I guess it's okay to bump.

I want to make a Glitch app/site based around the Cubimals. Can I use the images/SWFs?
What are the legal issues involved with this?
