Lost 2 piggy eggs incubating in chickens during down time.

Already mentioned this on the main forum post about the downtime today, but realised it was probably more appropriate here:

I gave two chickens in my yard a piggy egg each to incubate. Pretty much as I did it, the God message flashed up about 60 seconds til shutdown.

Game closed with my chickens still sitting incubating.

Now I'm back, chicken no longer incubating, no baby piggies or eggs.

Is there anyway to get them back? Or did I just lose out because of bad timing.

  • I know the feeling, but mine was more self inflicted. I was waiting for the chicken to incubate the egg, I got bored and started to play with my pickle, next thing I knew I was teleported away and lost my caterpillar :( Lesson learned, when waiting for a chicken don't play with your pickle.

Not quite the same as yours but sucks none the less, I hope you can get yours back!

  • I've found myself losing eggs under chickens that actually disappear.  Maybe it was because I was off the screen (still on the same street) and I was being punished for incubating 5 eggs under 5 chickens at once, but surely the chicken should still be there!  Each time it's happened, I've specifically counted the chickens first, and afterwards there's been one less chicken on the street and I'm out one egg.

Dunno if it's a bug that deserves its own thread or not, or if I'm hallucinating or something.  I've since decided to give up on public street incubating and just hatch a whole flock at home, where I can see everything at once and if a chicken disappears with an egg again, at least I can say I actually saw it vanish.
