The Day Mab Slept: a tale in verse.

It started just like any day;
The Giants rose amidst the light
To bless all Ur in every way-
But this time something wasn't right.

They called the Giant by Her Name
But still Mab rested in the deep.
They tried Their best but all the same,
The Harvest Giant stayed asleep.

It was a day to haunt Ur-kind;
The Giants cursed and Glitchen wept.
They wrote this tome in which you'll find
The trials of The Day Mab Slept.

When Grendaline would bring the rain,
The waters were not nourishing.
Though Spriggan tilled the soily plain,
The plant life wasn't flourishing.

Humbaba feared for beasts with legs
And Cosma fell out of the sky,
For no beast hatches without eggs,
And without gas no bird can fly.

And Lem could use no paper script
So deep into the bog He sank;
And Alph was no where near equipped
to craft a tool without a plank.

Pot's spiceless meals were bland and lean
and Friendly's drinks would bubble not;
Tii couldn't count a single bean!
Zille's fruitless earth was dark with rot.

When all was almost lost for good,
Mab suddenly began to writhe!
She rose and said, "Do as you should,"
And next time don't forget to tithe!"
