Soil Conversion Skill

Here's something i've always considered for people with a house since they only one kind of soil.

Soil Conversion (Penultimate Soil Skill)

Requirements: Herbalism II, Gardening V, Croppery III and Soil Appreciation V 

Benefits: Allows a glitch to "till" a garden plot or patch of dirt to the other type of plot/patch (Light/Crop to Dark/Herb and vice versa) and allow them to plant a seed that normally wouldn't work in the region. This only works in the glitch's own house, so people can't ruin the community gardens and give them the ability to customize their houses a bit more by having more options available to them for the other skills like Tincturing and Cooking. 

The energy cost is high since the soil needs to be prepared so carefully to make it just right. I was thinking perhaps 1/4-1/6 max energy as a cost to do it. But i'm not entirely sure.

What do you guys think? Too much or something that glitchens (if that's the right word..) would want?

  • -1 Too complicated. Sorry - I think there are much easier ways for them to go about giving us customization in our homes. The only thing that grows in a dark patch is an egg plant, and it would still need to be kept out of the light. A fruit tree can't grow without light.

    The biggest thing people want are herb/crop customization and there are some less complicated ideas for that floating around the forums.
