New Vendor Prices

Vendor prices now vary more than they used to from vendor to vendor.  I've put up a post on my blog explaining how the new system appears to work:  http://mathemaglitch.blogspot.ca/2012/04/vendor-prices.html

For those who don't like long-winded explanations, though, Tool Vendors are still the place to sell, but only buy at 75% right now, as opposed to the 80% they used to.

  • I think this is the first change of the new vendors, remember Stoot saying that there would be no more vendors just a player run vendor and they will phase out vendors, first phase would be that prices would change according to the prices in the market

  • So basically if you sell afew hundred potatoes to the vendor, the price will drop.
Or say you make 100 hatchets (don't ask me why) and sell all to a vendor, the price will drop.

At least that is what this will be.. According to an update by a staff a while ago.

  • @jjbob

Currently, it does not matter how many items you sell.  The price does not drop.

If you sell 1 or 100 potatoes, the price per potato is exactly the same.

Don't confuse your ideas about how things could be with how things really are.

  • I'm not sure I like the idea of player run vendors, just because I can see that just really ending badly for a lot of parties.

I did notice the prices going up for buying and dropping for selling though.
