The Huggable, Squishable Glitch™!

After nearly a week of work, about five miles of yarn, and a whole lot of patience, I have my very own huggable, squishable (and very cuddlable) Glitch. I've been wanting to make one ever since I started playing, and with the recent additions to the Vanity, I couldn't put it off any more.

She's the perfect size for hugging!

I pretty much made most of it up as I went, which surprised the hell out of me.

Well, I suppose I can get back to playing now since she's all done.

  • Your Glitch is fantastic! The hair is particularly wonderful.

The eyes look like they'd be difficult to do. Are they embroidery on felt?

  • @Alex: It's just felt on felt and fabric glue. My embroidery skills don't really exist. But, other than the huge fan blowing the tiny pieces of felt everywhere (the heatwave was still going on), the eyes were really easy.

@kevbob: Thanks! And thanks for putting together a game that I love so much I have to crochet it.

@Everyone else: Thanks! She was actually a lot of fun to make. I've been cuddling her all morning.

  • I wish I could crochet, I love the ruggedness of knitted and crocheted dolls!  When I make Carl, I'll have to make him like a muppet, though.  I sew.  When I can.

This is all to say, FANTASTIC JOB!!! I'M SO JEALOUS!!!

  • @Jenllip

It's one thing to crochet dolls for yourself using copyrighted game images.  It's entirely different, and requires approval from TS, to use those copyrighted images to create commercial items that you sell to other people.

  • Thank you, everyone -- the response has been overwhelming! And as fun as it would be to create some kind of Huggable, Squishable Glitch™ black market, I know it's not entirely legal for me to do it. (But, hey, maybe I can send some to the devs to encourage them to keep up the good work.)

  • WANT. I'm totally going to make one for myself, with credit to you for the awesome idea. Any pattern tips/things you wish you had known when you started?

  • There are some patterns in this group:

  • @Emerena Hm. I can't really say there is -- I mean, if I did it again, I'd totally know what I was doing right off the bat. Since I was making it up as I went along, I'd kind of have to guess how I was going to do something, and if it looked like it wasn't going to work, I'd have to backtrack and rethink things.

The clothes were honestly the hardest part.
